slinkman: this is why I am asking for guides and answers ? It could just be a want of mine having things ready by December, but you guys can make me understand it is impossible if it is . I was just humbly asking , no need to get hyped over that . What guides are you asking for? You need a guide to pick a country for you, pick a college for you, pick a major for you, tell you what the SAT is, perhaps write the exam for you then lead you to your seat on the aircraft? Have you heard of google? What you’re looking for isn’t a guide, you want to be spoon fed. |

Machol: Hello all. I've been a silent reader here, and I have taken my time to read at least 300 pages, still reading . Thank you for the enlightenment.
A quick question please, I work as a relationship manager in one of the big banks here, my team approved a loan which went bad, hence we have all been on suspension for 6 months and still going. We have gone after the loan defaulter and he has signed an undertaking to finish paying up by May next year, scary enough, we will not resume till he pays up. This has been a big issue biting my mind, hubby has been trying to make me feel good, he has suggested we go on holiday as a family for Christmas. He's scheduling his leave towards this time.. He has a good job with a nice salary. We intend to go with our three kids. We have never traveled as a family cos hubby will rather spend his money developing his projects rather than buy ticket ,lol. But I understand he's doing this to make me happy, so I'm elated he's even thinking this way as the man na ijebu
I'm thinking, can I still put it in my application I work with this bank, knowing fully well I'm on suspension , not on leave and might not get a letter from the bank? Thats just the simple dilemma I'm in, cos I dont intend to be caught up in misinterpretation.
Thank you all Are you still on the company payroll? |

slinkman: thanks a lot for this broad explanation brother . Please do you have any idea where I can go apply for this exam and when I will take it? What are the things to expect from this SAT and TOEFL? Is it just a strictly English exam? I actually am targeting and hoping to start everything now and getting to the states by December or January if everything goes well . I have an idea of studying in either Australia or The US. Please which would you advice for a first time traveler ? And which would be less expensive? Can a budget of 3 to 4 million naira accomplish this for atleast a year? That's successfully pay for visa and everything involved and a year or two school fees ? Also does Australia require TOEFL and or SAT? Thanks a lot . I have no idea about any of this hence my much awkward weird questions bro It’s october... you have no idea how to register for the SAT, you have no idea what school you will be applying to (or even the country!), their requirements and whether the school is worth your effort with respect to your long term goals (if you have any). You don’t know the structure of the exam neither are you prepared for it. You have no idea how much schoool will cost you, neither have you planned for contingency. All you know is that you want to be in the states by December (2 months away). Yours is the most unserious post I’ve seen in the last week or two. Responding to you any further is a waste of time. He who fails to plan is simply planning for his own sure failure. |

Thanks bro, appreciate your genuine and detailed response. Directly from Nigeria? Maybe European countries. It would be very hard for a US company to hire you. LadyGuinivere: Exactly! He lied. Several times. Sought for advice. Was told to own up. TW said he would never get a visa no matter what. Thats the basis of the discourse above. History will show that I do not take the issue of quoting God and misrepresenting at the same tym lightly. I also give advice on logic not on faith usually. My stand is on a general view point of the Bible. If you make your ways right, God is waiting to catch you. If you confess, He is faithful and just to forgive all unrighteousness. 1 John 1:9 Now if God can forgive a murderer or a rapist, it's logical that He can make anything possible. Let's be real here now. When you want something, and u can't get it, it's a big deal. Whether it's a pair of sneakers, or snickers the chocolate, a husband ,baby or visa it's a biggie. I'll use myself as an example. When I was refused UK and US visas, it Was annoying and a bridge I had to cross cos that's who I am. I learnt and reapplied. Now I have globe trotted finish, it isn't a biggie anymore. Let's not belittle the ones still seeking to see outside Naija. While to you it may be " whatever" to them it's "something " However. For emphasis sake, do not misrepresent. It isn't worth it. At all!
LagosNiv if you will, we would appreciate another comment on "born again misrepresenters" . Thank you.
Meanyl. It's my birthday in a couple of hours/days/ weeks. I no go mind birthday greetings. Lol 1 John 1:9 says Christ is faithful and just to forgive all unrighteousness. But it did not say that God is then obligated to tell the VO to ignore the consequences of your unrighteousness. God forgave Moses, but he never saw the promised land. God forgave David, but he still lost his first son through Bathsheba. This idea that we can do whatever we want and not expect consequences, because God, is an unhealthy, false idea. By the way happy birthday!!! |

I have tried linkedin but problem arises when the company emails me asking to schedule a physical interview the next day or 2 days after How the hell am i supposed to make it to the US(or anywhere else) within 24 hours (unplanned)? Is there anyone who has landed a foreign job either through linkedin or anywhere else? How did you get past the interview stage, etc. Help a brother. Seun Justwise pls move this to fp. It’s nigh impossible to get one unless you are in an executive position, using intra company transfer. I conducted a job search for my US-based company early this year. Applications from outside the US were automatically screened out. The point is simple, 1. In terms of educational qualifications, you are at a significant disadvantage; 2. you will need a work permit for any job in the US, Canada or Europe. This is an expensive and lengthy process so unless you are a flat out genius, it is pointless hiring you over someone with better qualifications who is already here. |

MrsTerry1: Hello everyone,am new here and i really do need your help!! Have been denied us visiting visa 3times,i applied with my husband in 2016 feb nd we were both denied, then i got invitation from my aunty in sept2016 which i got an agent to fill my d160 form and he changed my husbands name totally,to think i gave him the first d160 form (smh) and during the interview the VO asked if i was divorced,i was confused with the question tho i told her NO,so she asked if i filled the form myself and i said no,and she denied me that visa on the bases that i was to fill my form my self,I applied almost immediately and was still denied,SAD!! So it been a year now and am 27 weeks pregnant with the hopes of going to deliver my child in the us, hv paid the registration fee and even paid 1k doll upfront nd all documents hv been sent to me,anoda wahala now is that i hv a salon here in abuja Nd got a job with 98.3 hot fm this past December and am earning 150k,nd in my previous d160 form,i wrote that i was earning upto 300k in the salon, tho i still run my saloon but wanted i to fill my recent job in my form bcus i feel it a stronger tie, and is it adviceable to use my statement of acct or my husbands own, because am applying alone,nd 150k monthly cant pay my bills in the us and I don't knw how to tell dem i still run my salon, pls i need serious advice because i want to do everything right this time, plsssssss sombdy help!! I feel your salon gives you a better tie. It’s your own business.. a 150k job is equivalent to approximately $500/month. You can earn double that easily even with a minimum wage. You will have to explain why the name of your husband has changed twice. Otherwise, there is nothing saying you should not try again. |

I have traveled many times to the UK and currently have a valid 2years schengen visa which wouldn't have expired when I apply for the visa. I earn 500k plus. My dad has also traveled to UK and Itali before but was denied USA visa in 2002. I would sponsor myself and he will also sponsor himself. Kindly let us know if we stand a high chance of being granted the visa. We have no business to remain in the USA because we have very good jobs and also have many properties like land, cars, house.
And please has anyone with this same profile applied and got their visa?
Thank you Your purpose for going is weak but that may be offset by your strong travel history. Give it a shot... you never know. |

KingIbot: Alright ma My advice, drop all the “hustle” or “street” references. Living and working in the United States or Canada is a lot easier than the hard route you plan to take. If you sincerely devoted 18 months of your time, you could legitimately obtain admission to a college in either of both countries, with full funding. After that, the world is your oyster. All these false bravado, unserious fraudulent intent is far more work than just getting your head down and studying for your SATs. At 18, you’re too young to destroy your future permanently. |

VickyRotex: I was referring to the advice the person who quoted you earlier gave. Saying you should go online to look for ladies, and you might be lucky. I still insist that it's not a good one! I'm afraid cos you are already thinking way too wide, even before you arrive the US. Why do you wanna involve yourself, with all these "arrangee" marriages? You wanna pay the person, to probably fake the marriage cos of papers? Right?
You know what? I think you should come to Canada. When you come to Canada, it's straightforward. You can get a Permanent Residency even before you finish your undergraduate. If that's the only reason you would wanna go to the US, to do pay for papers. Fine, I know that people practise "arrangee" marriages here too, or common law just to get papers, (Especially for those who aren't patient enough) but not as much as it is in the States.
I often advise people: "If you make it to Canada to study, why not hustle legitimately, and be patient enough to have your documents afterwards. Even after your studies for Masters degree, you are entitled to 3 years work permit after studies, (I think for undergraduate it's even more) of which before the 3 years elapse, you can secure your permanent residency. Now, they even make it possible to start processing before you complete your program. And as a student, you are entitled to work. So really I don't see any reason why you would wanna involve yourself in something you probably will regret later.
Maybe I'm being too rigid, but If I had a kid brother, this is the same advice I'd give him. Don't let frustration make you do what you shouldn't do. If you are not ready to travel now, just do your best and get your undergraduate degree in Naija, before travelling. My advice may not count now, probably cos of how serious or desperate you just wanna leave the country, but I believe one day it will! You’ve given him the best advice, I however don’t think he is interested in listening. |

He even said the VO told him that it unusual to issue visa to someone of his category cause he did not have any tie.....but since it as been approved by God But we are talking about two entirely different scenarios right? The 22 year old you know did not lie that he had a wife, child and an uncle in the United States (a claim that can be easily verified)... It seems you jumped into a conversation that you did not fully grasp. It is true that I am not god, but there is no big secret to this God... His views on lying and deception are crystal clear. Perhaps you may want to stop treating the Bible as merely a fashion accessory and God as simply a fairy who is there to grant your every desire without requiring any responsibility to be Holy from you. |

Nothing else has changed in my status since the last application.. I love how nice everyone is here... but here is the cold hard truth. You can confess all you want (you really have no other choice at this point), but you lied so many times - uncle, wife, child etc. that it’s hard to see them believing that even your confession is the truth. I therefore seek for profeional advice from this house to make sure I don't keep repeating my mistakes nor get denied again. PLEASE I NEED YOUR HELP.
I first applied for B1/B2 in 2015 and was denied. I went through the help of an agent and I guess that was where my problem started. The agent packaged me to me married with 1 kid and work with a salary of N500,000.. I was given an invitation letter and also filled in the DS160 that I know some one in the USA. ( all my interview location is at ABUJA)
it was just a vacation trip and i stated in the form to spend 2 weeks in the states. I described my duties very well in the DS 160 form and when the VO asked me about my job I answered like a professional and explained my duties and daily actives for her. she asked me the state where I was suppose to visit I told her TEXAS and gave my reasons that I was going to visit my uncle who's wife just gave birth so I could spend my vacation with them over there for 2 weeks. ( I was denied the visa)
The 2nd time I used almost the same info but the deference was that I was promoted to the rank of a manager in my work place. I was denied again. mean while I have a legitimate travel record to South Africa and Dubai.
The 3rd time I applied booking a hotel resavation in Hilton texas hotel and yet was denied. all the interview I have attended, they never asked me too many question. the questions are just.. WHERE ARE YOU VISITING IN THE STATES? WHAT DO YOU DO FOR A LIVING? DO YOU KNOW SOME OTHER PEOPLE IN THE STATES.? I answered and told the VO where I was visiting and told her I know some people in the states.
I always go with my bank statement but they never asked me for my bank statement nor tried to verify any of the documents I came with. only questions.. I asked the the VO to explain to me so that I can improve if I should make up my mind to spend my vacation in US again. but she could NOT say any thing rather gives me the rejection blue paper.
Now I wish to apply for the 4th time. what should I do? should I say I dont know any body when I have written in the past that I know some one in the states. do I say I have made a travel plan with tourist company? so not sure where I am getting it wrong.
I am not sure if the keep track records of formal applications. I have tried to seek good advice and to know how I can be successful this time. I wish not to waste my 64,000 Naira again. the Last time I applied was November 2016 which is almost a year now. Please help me if need be for a private message advice me and I will inbox you. I am so confused and need some good advise. You misrepresented on three different interviews. You’re pretty much screwed. Everything you said is recorded for life... you better find a wife and one kid. |
