As a younger lad, I didn't like too much meat on my plate, but still got high cholesterol in my 40s. I only had to cut out cow meat from my diet and stop fast food to get my cholesterol back to healthy.

For me, I categorize red meat on the same health risk scale a alchohol, weed, cigarette and trans fat. Some people will swear that these have health benefits too when taken in moderation, but the demerits far outweighs the merits.
