You have started well by placing the blame well … ON YOU!
1. Keep a shark eye on your business. Wake up in the morning, do a short prayer, check up on your kids and go straight to work. Oversee every singls transaction and collect your money yourself. Stop being a lazy motherf*cker that allows the sales boy/girl do all the selling and expects not to be ripped off.
Stay in your shop from opening to closing. Don’t attend any religious service during the week.
2. Cut down on ALL your expenses by at least 50% until you pay off all your loan. Move to a less expensive or smaller apartment, change the kids school to a good but affordable school, stop all giveaways to family or friends (you are in financial trouble & ONLY your kids & wife are entitled to your money). But cut down drastically on ALL frivolities like expensive clothes, food and outings even for your wife & kids til you break the debt chain.
3. Ask your wife to support you financially until you break free. If she isn’t working, make sure she goes look for work!
4. Don’t be deceived by religious houses to give money you don’t even have anyway.

Hi every one, l have been a nairalander for over 10 years and have seen people get advised here, thats why l am putting this up with my account.
I am not blaming anybody for my predicament, neither do l blame the loan app company for their shark like business sytle, l take responsibility for my actions. I am one of those people who criticized people for Falling into the trap of online loan company. It's basically a rat race syndrome and tends to take you deeper and deeper from the seemingly innocuous first attempt.

It all started when my side hussle of buying and selling food stuff suffered a decreased in cost of replacement due to inflation and my sales boy stealing my money. I took my first loan to boost my business and realized that the cost of the loan is high. Since then, it's been a malicious cycle of robbing Peter to pay Paul. I realized that l was lossing money in each transcation and in order to meet up with my payment to avoid defaulting, l resorted to other loan company. Now, l don't even no what to do, all cash injection coming to me is spent on servicing the loan. I can't even feed my family and pay my children school fees. I am tire of this scenario and want to break free. It has taken a toil on me physically, mentally and spiritually.

I seek advice from people who have gone thru this ugly experience on how to break free before it is too late. Below is the list of my indebtness:

This is the circle of assumptions that make men not help men.
1. If a man comes to you for help & you automatically assume that such a man will ONLY help women if he was in your shoes, then you are part of the problem.
2. Money is a store of value & you just don’t want to fritter away that store of value. Believe it or not, men who give to mostly or only women are exchanging or expect to later exchange their store of value for another thing they consider valuable. Most times this is SEX or romance. This is why you will notice that most of these men also don’t help ugly, wrinkled, OLD WOMEN too.

The lesson here is, since you don’t have the potential to be such men’s sex mate, you need to make yourself valuable in other ways. This way, they will have justification to give away their store of value.

1. You have chosen to spare the rod and spoilt the child.
2. You do not also have the will to follow through on your punishment for wrongdoing. Why will you apologize for scolding your child for wrongdoing
3. Lastly, you have given your child liberty to talk back at you ( this is the ultimate sign of bad parenting).

Correct the three points above and see changes come speedily. Hopefully, your damage on the child is still reversible.

Look, you are very confused. You shouldn't be in any relationship at the moment.
What you need to do is:
1. Work on your self esteem and self worth, With that you will realize you don't need a physical, sexual and verbal abuser in your life.
2. Shed the Nigerian selfish, lazy and worthless girl attitude of seeking financial reward from relationships. This is what keeps Nigerian girls in relationships they know may kill or dehumanize them.
3. Get a job, focus on your career and work on financial independence. This way, you will be able to make better decisions in choosing a man without the selfish bias of financial gain.
4. Pray and fast fervently for divine direction and guidiance.
5. Learn to love yourself and God 1st. This way you will be less attached to someone that is distant.
6. If you haven't, seriously learn about your body and female sexual health. I have a feeling you may get pregnant for someone you don't love, since you currently are capable of dating for selfish reasons. This way you don't get entrapped by pregnancy.

When you are done with the above, position yourself in the right places and start looking out for the right guy in your life. In the meantime, RUN from any relationship until you are prepared for the pros and cons.

Hello good people of nairaland, I have a pressing issue and I really need your help.

A couple of years back I broke up with my boyfriend whom I really loved due to distance barriers. Getting over him was difficult for me so I had to go into a relationship with one of my toasters in order to get him off my mind.

I achieved my aim after a couple of months but the current guy was unwilling to let go, I didn't love him and couldn't get myself to love him despite trying to. I know I was selfish and opened up to him but he insisted that I would warm up to him with time and grow to love him.

The relationship was far from perfect, I was in it solely for what I benefited but we weren't compatible and it was from one issue to another. We were always at logger heads all the time. He insults me and my family at any given opportunity and talks down on me using secrets I shared with him as leverage each time we quarrel. He shredded my self-esteem.

He was insecure and attacked my male friends at any given opportunity including my lecturers, he would access my social media accounts and send derogatory message to any male contact he feels is making a pass at me.
All these attitudes made me fed up with him and I decided to breakup for good.

Early this year I met a guy online and somehow we vibed together quickly, we met physically for the first time and it felt like we've known for ages. Everything moved so quickly with this new guy that I started developing serious feelings for him. I was scared because I never knew I would feel something like that again after I broke up with my other ex.

This new guy makes me happy and treats me like a woman, anytime spent with him is always memorable and I don't feel like leaving. The chemistry that we share is super strong and everything seems so perfect.

Now to my issue, this new guy is a fresh graduate and not yet stable, I don't have issues with his financial status because he made me realize a Lady can actually be happy without money being thrown at her. But I'm still scared of going all full into the relationship he might go for service and never come back to me. I don't just want a repeat of my previous relationship that got shattered after my ex relocated.

On the other hand, the other guy is hell bent on getting me back, he's been pleading and sending people to beg me even though I told him I've moved on and has even had sex with the new guy but he still wants me back.

I'm confused and don't know what to do, my heart is with the new guy but the other guy is making things so difficult for me and almost driving me insane. Can I still grow to love him?? Though I've been unable to after almost a year.

Should move on with the new guy?? I've known him for barely two months but it seems I've known him for ages, my feelings are exploding and I can hardly control them which is making me scared.

To start with, the error of sending the money twice was yours, so acknowledge that 1st.
Secondly, I think she may have just suggested a way for you to get your money back at the earliest. It is not so easy to take money out of a corporate account. If you have no immediate need of the money, you can formally request for the refund. Given how Nigerian coys are, I think it might take a long time before they send it tho.
