symbee:Omo bone o, is it today that you are just realizing that FG don't care a hoot? By the way, what else can you boldly point at to show they care for anything at all than their pocket. I was listening to the news last night or early this morning and I heard the senate president talking , Of course, I know they don't care. |
This is insanamodo |
Not surprised. But would hurt the most if this issues they are clamoring for is postponed till some other day after wasting so much precious time. Till then, ![]() |
I guess this must be the umpteenth time I'll be saying this, both parties involved here just don't care a hoot, I tell you. ![]() |
sajmar:You can get in touch with me. madawgvic at outgun dot com |
Police is worse than an enemy, you know. If you don't, you better do. ![]() |
@ poster. My guy, I dey feel your flow with all this kain grammar wey you dey blow so. This ASUU people are ineffective, though not all, and do they really believe that the FG cares considering that most of their children are abroad, or in some private universities. Both party seem immune, especially FG, in the end it is the students that suffer, those who are not doing "yahoo-yahoo" are busy prostituting about, while some sleep, gist, more sleep and even more gossip. Look at a person like me, if you know how many years I spent at home due to the Nigerian situation before getting admission and now I should be working, but just starting, now strike. Damn! It's so unfair and depressing. My future is in God's hand. |
Abeg, bone o. The two party involved are just not sincere and concerned since they are not affected directly, if at all. ![]() |
Both ASUU and the Federal Government are not serious, look at how they are playing hide and seek with the future of young Nigerians. Do they really care? God help us! |
Hin kabo si abule Nairaland lube. ;DHope you understand that? Either way, you are welcome. However, brace up because anything can happen to you here. ![]() |
@ Poster Please get your information right, federal government has just agreed to an increment but not all other demands. The ASUU people seem not to be backing down, they have not signed any agreement yet. |
This is no news. Who will be monitoring them to make sure they won't eat? Once they are in some secret place, these probably pot-bellied individuals would probably have their pots filled to the brim. |
@ jaydee Sorry I don't intend to be a wet blanket, but I think with that result your sister will need to embark on serious prayer and hard study. After calculating her points with that result you posted, the total came to 46 points (that is if UI can take Biology as a required course for political science). However, using this easiest step, you can calculate it your self: A1 - 12 C4 - 6 B2 - 10 C5 - 4 B3 - 8 C6 - 2 O'level result constitutes 60 points, so someone who has A1 in 5 relevant courses already has 60 points. UME is 40 points, derived by dividing total scores achieved (or achievable) in UME by 10. My advice for her is that she should also be monitoring her school of second choice. |
@ RichyBlacK I stand corrected, I think I can reason with your point of view of JAMB marking scheme. |
I think the best thing here would be, for those who do not believe examination is the best test of knowledge, to recommend alternatives. @ eldee How does WAEC use an SS1-3 average??From experience, WAEC does that. Besides, it stipulated in the syllabus that SSCE constitutes just 70% of the total marks. IT ALL DEPENDS ON WHICH SIDE OF THE EXAM YOU ARE,I dey feel you, kingbru. @ RichyBlacK The bureaucrats get excellent questions from teachers/professors in the respective fields, however, like most things Nigerian, they bungle up all the answers and grade the exam with wrong answers. If you doubt this, we can easily conduct an experiment to show this.I think we need to see the experiment. |
In my own opinion, I think most people here are even confused. Sorry to say that though. |
@ M quadrant C4 - 3, B3 - 4, B2 - 5, A1 - 6. Multiply the total points, derived by adding points of relevant courses, then multiply by 2. For example, a person that has 5 A1s in relevant courses will have 60 points total, i.e, 30 * 2. UME constitutes 40 points, i.e, 400/10. @ tofguy Use the above method to derive your total grade point, or weighted average, because I'm not totally sure of the 5 relevant courses required for law. Hope that helps. @ lekan89 I will advice that you go to UI, preferably the Afribank at the school gate. |
@ ishow Thanks for the info. I have left school since last Wednesday. By the way, is this week the first or second week of the break? Thanks. |
we r on 2 wks break
Wait a minute, ishow, I thought we are on strike not on a 2 weeks break. I may be wrong, but may I know where you got the information from. Thanks. |
@ titsandbra I feel you, friend. Michael Jackson was a great man in spite of everything. He lives on. Hope all these Nigerian politicians learn from this, nothing last forever. ![]() |
I dare say he is the best musician I have ever known, especially MJ of the 80s and early 90s because it is songs of those period that I appreciate much. RIP Michael. |
Who the heck is he? A waste of space this is |
It's a sad one. When I heard people discussing Michael on Dan Foster's show on Inspiration FM this morning, I wondered what was cause, I was shocked when I heard the news of his death. So sad. All those classics of his which I used to listen to growing up were played inducing some nostalgic and tearful feelings in me, about two guys actually cried on Dan Foster's show, I thought it was a joke but I appeared to be wrong, it was that serious. I only pray that God overlook all his undoings and look at all the joys and hope he had inspired in the living - all his positive efforts. May Michael Jackson's soul rest in the Bosom of the Lord. Amen. |
Not convinced with their performance just yet. ![]() |
sharonizy:Just leave everything in God's hand and you'll have a chance. Who knows, the cut-off may be lower next session. ![]() |
Seem like Sammy jay and I share the same day. ![]() |
@sharonizy Well, the little I can say is that there is no info yet. When any comes up especially concerning the interview, the website would be updated. And for the last year cut-off, it was 72.6, I got 1.1 less. But, because of one reason or the other, I made it. Even some of those with 50 something made it through. |
I will go on with it since we had arranged for it beforehand. Besides, beauty is in the eyes of the beholder. ![]() |
Born June 23, any birthday mate around here? ![]() |
