There is a chronic deficiency in leadership methods and ideas across all our state governments as demonstrated by this lagos gov.
You draw out construction plans and laws that all should follow, issue it, and take your eyes off the activities of residents. Why?
The residents activities should be monitored, week in week out so that illegal constructions are nipped in the bud. That will save the state and citizenry a lot of time and energy trying to bulldoze structures. And also defaulters should actually be fined. If there is a fine for them it will help in reducing the number of defaulters.

I defaulted on loan payment to one of these fintech companies (clue: the most successful operator in the country) last year. I stayed a period of 2.5 months before i could pay back.

There's a mind boggling trend I've observed amongst our 'so-called' leaders that sees them verbalising about how civil war will be the consequence of the most basic of civic agitations amongst certain groups, ethic/political/non-political movements or a generality of the masses.
I've heard this now from several high profile leaders, and it leaves me wondering why these people are so shallow and bereft of ideas.

How can this man not see a path to dialogue, and genuine efforts to identify and solve the issues that divide us, and just good leadership as a means to arrest these myriad of problems we are facing?

It's bad enough being a 'grammar Nazi' like you obviously are. It doesn't put money in your pocket by pointing out syntax/grammatical errors on comments typed by strangers on the internet, but it is even much more laughable when the error you pointed out in someone's words actually doesn't exist.
He is correct to use the word 'saying'. Words and phrases in English language can be used fluidly in different contexts -- "See my attached pictorial".
English is a very complex language, and most importantly, it is not your mother tongue. Don't bother trying to point out errors in how people apply it in comment threads especially when you understand fully the person's opinion piece.

Please someone should help me ask our security forces like Army, Navy etc, politicians in their convoy if they will die if they travel at moderate speeds on the highway or intra town/city roads.

These people keep on causing accidents and killing countless people in the process. I'm certain they were at dangerous speed levels of well over 100km/h.

Why should the parents be punished? It's just crazy how these people think. The parents are not the ones dragging their kids out to become cultists. There are many conditions, situations and realities that life presents to people, and families and if a child ends up being wayward and gets into criminality, let the kid be held accountable and face the wrath of the law.
The cultist being sentenced to jail time or even death is enough punishment for the parents.

This shameful and prettiest barbarity we keep on displaying in this country. Yes our leaders have mostly been a total failure, and can't guide us much in matters of civility, but it's incumbent on "we the people" to exercise our rationality in order to live as humans and not beasts.
