I completely agree with your reasoning implying that a frustrated leader that means well, while seeing deep corruption around him/her can have an emotional outburst. But there are limits though. This one is inexcusable. Only a quack leader will boldly say that Military rule was better. Talk about mental slavery. Imagine people like these as our senators? Vulcan24: |
This man's disgraceful comment is a classic demonstration of the inadequacies and almost complete lack of substance amongst our so called leaders in Nigeria across the three arms of our government. That a "so called" Senator has not reached a point where he knows that even the worse of our corrupt democracy is better than any time in our Military rule period is tragic. For him to come on the floor of the senate to spew this ignorance is even worse. Why do we have this type of people as Senator's? The type of emotional, and ignorant garbage talk you hear on roadside Newspaper stands is being peddled by a senator. The gross abuse of human rights, oppression, brutality, and looting in the Military era is a hundred fold worse than what we see today. We lost an unprecedented total of about 500billion dollars to looting by the military, and these figures are the ones that are tracked easily because the moneys were stashed in Western bank accounts. What off those that were hidden in bunkers in the mansions of those soldiers? We can't even account for those. Shame! |
QuickStandard:You seriously need to improve your comprehension of written articles and English communication generally. Where in the story is it indicated or even suggested that the troll is the person that asked her foe the selfy?? I'm waiting.......... The troll is just a random person. |
fecosequence:If what you can tell a woman or even a man you meet for the first time is - "you walk so fast like you are going to a native doctor's place" - then you deserve every ounce of insults that rained on you that day. |
mtinfx:Where in this article was it indicated the picture was taken in Uyo ![]() |
It's been very difficult for me listening to both their music since Peter and Paul ended their musical association. Peter especially, that one's material is just laughable. Paul has one or two that have a little bit of verve in them, but all together it's been a shockingly steep drop in quality from their standards as separate solo acts. It's just so sad. |
AntiChristian:Your reply shows that this nation is in real trouble with a legion of below average mediocre youths. I can't believe you didn't even comprehend my post. Of course I know he is muslim!!! as the points in my post clearly show. I was telling you that it was wrong to bring up and tout his contributions to the economy as a contribution from the religious angle since he is not an imam and he has never come out to show partisanship for his religious beliefs. Dangote is just a businessman period. Abeg try to improve your basic communication and comprehension skills abeg! |
AntiChristian:Your intent on projecting Dangote's contributions in employment, CSR and economic development as being done on the angle of Islamic religion by way him being a muslim is stupid, desperate, ignorant and shameful. I never knew Dangote was an Imam, can you tell us where the mosque he presides over is located? Is Dangote on the board of MURIC? Tell us something we don't know. Perhaps you expect the christian body to declare responsibility for developing Nigeria via the likes of Coscharis, Innoson etc because the owners identify as christians? You should try to be more responsible with your reasoning. |
Your are tragically ignorant!!! safarigirl: |
ubee:I can see that the OP has some form of shame in him/her. They have edited the Headline by taking off the "Nigerian" Whoever you are, let this your remorsefulness be permanent, and not temporary. Always strive to apply the ethos of professionalism in all the work you do. |
Do we even have an ounce of hope to ever get out from the mediocrity associated with us as a country? Leaders criminal and phoney, but unfortunately the masses are no different. What type of shameless OP had the effrontery to name Alaba as a Nigerian? Where did they get such information from. The phoney reporter is behaving like our incompitent government that doesn't have the will or capacity to develop human resource back at home but anytime they just hear of someone abroad whose name even remotely sounds Nigerian, they will jump up with tails wagging and claim the person. THEIVES!!!!! |
chrisxxx:You sound very dumb. Bid on your behalf? Bid for a total stranger, and even worse an anonymous person. The second part of your post sounds even dumber. |
The tragic infliction of mortal punishment our leaders in Nigeria keep subjecting the citizens and entire country to continues unabated. We are not even hearing about the scandal of the Failed Lagos CCTV project of years back which flamed out in identical fashion after having hundreds of millions of dollars embezzled by these unconscionable criminal leaders. No wonder they are increasing taxation to 7.5% and putting extra charges in every nook and cranny of banking transactions in the country. When will this end? Who will save us from this? |
For the commissioner to declare the ban and enforce it is not the problem. There is a shocking culture of unsustainability in Naija where newly enforced social laws in our society don't last more than a few months or a year before it is back to square one, because our leaders are so incompetent and lack the will to make good things work permanently. |
MrBrownJay1:Can you clarify your assertion please? In what way does his bloodied corpse prove that he did rape the woman? |
lilianofentse:Your ignorance and crass foolishness is irredeemable. |
27Pushing30:You are an ignoramus if you feel leg crossing is or should be exclusively for females. |

Lankybaby:This is exactly what i came here to type. If she's declaring not being afraid of being body shamed why did she cover half her body? |
Kerrilee:A black belt has no place in that "angelic white" ensemble. Any other color addition beyond that black hand bag would debase and destroy that appearance. |
A305:You are probably mentally challenged. Are these two women you mentioned athletes in your dreams? Mtcheew!!! |
mosho2good: this one weak me! |
dapo456:If you weren't so dull, you would have figured out that the pic you see is a very old pic of Benson in her prime years. How could you not be able to engage your reasoning for even a split second? Chai!!! |
helinues:It's amazing how dull you sound with this your post. Coca Cola, Guinness and Budweiser global multinational brands whose products are in demand and consumed across the length and breadth of this world. Why are you comparing these Nigerian companies with those corporate leviathans? It is imperative that those global brands advertise on the biggest networks like CNN. But these three Nigerian companies in question have 99.99% of their consumers in Nigeria - so what's the need for them to pay such massive amounts of money to advertise to other continents that really don't know or have even heard of them? |
Kingpinukecy:How much more dumb can you be? Did you not read the very short caption that would have taken less than a minute? Your own is to look at pics and start spewing like a machine gun. Mtcheew!!! |
safarigirl:This your comment is so well articulated, it's rational and shows you as obviously a cerebral individual. And because I'm a sapiosexual, I am following you from this moment. |
Hmmm this Tobi sef i don't understand how he's everywhere lately amongst both his predecessors of BBN & BBA, and his successors of this year that have been evicted. Is he giving them career counselling? |
Nwaohafia1:You are not making sense!!! How can you just know it must be a corolla involved before reading the article with all the countless models of cars across countless brands being driven in Lekki for that matter? Sometimes listen to yourself before you post comments to the public. |
Yambee:Meanwhile you didn't need to thank him for anything!!! You are right, and he is wrong! Those are "veins" - just as you termed it not "varicose veins" as the other guy mentioned. |
Mr Teacher don't teach anyone nonsense here!!! Those are just normal veins on the back of that man's palm, not varicose veins !!! I don't need to explain what Varicose veins are and their appearance for you in 2019. Wikipedia or various medical articles is there to break it down perfectly. Gerrard59: |
