GuyfawkesAB: Just another religious "merchandise" to sell to gullible Catholics to ask for prayers of intercession for them.
I pity you Catholics and I keep praying for you that your eyes are opened and you come to the light. Christ has already opened the way for you to pray directly to God.
Hebrews 4 16 Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need. heaven is also a family banquet. we didnt just come to Jesus but to saints and angels and spirits. Heb 12:22 But you have come to Mount Zion, to the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem. You have come to thousands upon thousands of angels in joyful assembly, 23 to the church of the firstborn, whose names are written in heaven. You have come to God, the Judge of all, to the spirits of the righteous made perfect, 24 to Jesus the mediator of a new covenant, and to the sprinkled blood that speaks a better word than the blood of Abel. |

I don't understand how a people would call themselves Christians, do things contrary to the teachings and doctrines of the Scriptures and exhibit great dogmas when you try to make them see. In their words, indirectly, Christ is useless. Mary and Saints hold precious spaces in their hearts than Christ. There is an ancient creed christians have used for over a milenium, d apostles creed, it say to believe in the communion of saints. do u disagree wit it. |

My point is, you guys should carrying the Bible since most of actions are contrary to the instructions therein. It's not a crime to have your own book. A particular denomination use the book of Mormon, I see no reason why you people can't do the same. Rather, you dwell on the KJV and embed some of your writings in it. So u dont know the bible is a catholic book? the catholic church was responsible for compiling and preserving d bible. |

Beey: How can a sinner elevate a fellow sinner to the level of sainthood? Roman Catholicism doctrines are indeed amazing. A fellow christian\s\ with episcopal and apostolic authority can recognise the sanctity of another christian. the church didnt make her a saint, instead they recognised the work of grace in her life and affirmed it at her death. |

Gombs: If it did, there was then no point for Jesus coming!
God entered a covenant with Abraham... Not with you or any Christian, you, rather are a child of that covenant since you're Christ's, that now makes you Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise.
Galatians 3 v29 kjv 29 And if ye be Christ's, then are ye Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise.
What promise?
Jesus' blood was shed for the new testament, the new covenant, to replace Moses'. It doesn't imply in any way that you entered a covenant with God.
Like I asked, if you're in a covenant with God, tell me when, how and what's the seal of the covenant. Thanks Dont mix them up, Christ is d offspring of abraham and all in Christ by faith are also now offspring of abraham and heir of d promise also we are in christ so we are part and parcel of d new covenant. in Christ we have a covenant wit God. |

1 Corinthians 1:9 1 John 1:1-3 and fellowship with God is usually covenantal, Jesus came to establish that covenant, as man he was d new adam and so could initiate a covenant for humanity, he was also d victim of sacrifice and his blood seal d covenant. it was between man and God. do u reject any of d above? |

Christ is the seed of Abraham.
You don't have a covenant with God.

God already thought of Jesus right in the garden when He told the serpent that the seed of the woman will bruise it's head....this was long before Abraham came to the scene.

So no, baptism, communion, confirmation, confession, anoiting d sick, ordination and matrimony cant be administered online or by phone, u need a minister with d right form and matter to personaly administer sacraments. besides A phone isnt really safe, ur phone can b tapped, a third party wit d right tech may b listening. why would u want to confess ur sins throu a phone call? |

JMAN05: Do u think that if there were one man rule over the whole church, that the scriptures would not say it? Rather Paul went to a meeting where James, John and Peter were to receive right hand of fellowship. Gal 2:9
This one man ruling over the universal church is never scripture. As such, any so called history that contradicts scripture is false.
If there were appointment by Peter and Paul, it would never be for any of the appointee to succeed them in a claimed rukership that does not exist.
If there is any such appointment, it would be for such an appointee to represent the apostle in handling matters in such country/congregation. Like Paul telling Titus as regards Crete (Titus 1:5) or Paul giving Timothy an assignment in some congregations. 1tim 3:1-10, 14, 15. Thats a possibility that is scriptural. There were no one man rule nor successor for any previous ruler. Matt 16:19 tell us that there was one man put in charge of d church. |

JMAN05: So, peter fought for power and got the key, after which Linus fought for power and Jesus gave it to him. Basically, you should fight for power to get it. This is surely not a power issued by Jesus then.
Which key of pope did Jesus give to peter and show us where Peter commissioned bishops for the purposes of replacing him.
So John who is among the pilars in the congregation will be left by Peter and Jesus while Linus and Clement will be picked? We ve not even spoken about Paul.
Where was these Linus and Clement when Paul went to meet James, Peter and John for partnership? Gal 2:9 I guess u cant understand simple english. leadership in the church isnt for the most holy or even d oldest, it is for whom is chosen and given. peter was chosen not john and linus after him. he didnt need to b d most educated he was chosen. the keys were given in matt 16:19 and early xtian writings tel us who succeded peter. |

As to records, the bible didnt record everything, it didnt record d death of peter or paul or john, it doesnt tell us d missionary work of andrew, or matthew... but the early christians kept those records and put them down in their writtings, they clearly tell us what happen after peter died and who succeeded him. |

JMAN05: Ubeni why do u think John would be alive and another person will become 'pope'? that is pretty simply, john was never known to fight for power, he had no reason to. after d apostles dispersed john later headed the church in ephesus and its environs. while Jesus was alive he didnt give d keys to john, do u think john wil start looking for dat position when peter died? no, he knew what had been given to him and what hadn't been given. history shows that peter commission bishops to succed him and after his death they succeded him as leader. |
