blaise01: surprised anyway , ve been a catholic 4 yrs & neva heard or seen that. Who knws d last tym such happened? it happened some centuries ago and you may not witness it in your life, urban vi elected 1379, wasnt a cardinal he was arch bishop, i think dat was d last time a non cardinal became pope, his papacy was a disaster, he allowed pride to enter his head and had many uncharitable words for his cardinals, the cardinals took advantage of d fact that there were hipcups in his election (d cardinals were pressured), and elected and anti pope in france and another anti pope in portugal. Meaning 3 people claimed to be pope. The situation was a shame to behold. The last non priest to become pope was leo x 1513, his dogmatic ponouncement with military precision was a catalyst for d "reformation". that means protestanism started in the time of leo x wu seemed to rebuke luther with d same fierceness luther used to attack d church. The result was catastrophe. Those are two non cardinals who became pope and something just seem to go wrong with them. |

D classic response, if u had read d post b4 this u would have seen that ur ansa isnt different from that of my friend. Acidosis: Crap!
God did not say you should give your TITHE (God's 1/10th demand) to the poor...
If you want to give to the poor, c'mon, you can even give your FULL salary after paying the tithe to the church.. You can get a big loan and give to the poor, NO ONE will stop you..
And only a f00l will practise that which you suggested... You don't need to show the whole congregation what you want to give.... Invite them to your house, pack your belongings and money and properties for them BUT Your tithe is for God! Try and change his order by trying to use your "professor wisdom" and you're doomed... If God wanted us to do that, he'd have given us the commandment!
These things have been written before our greatgrandfathers were born and you can not change it with your JET age 21st century terrestial sense... besides God dey jump down come collect d tithe? |

Dede1: You are bloody laughable. It seems Yoruba peeps enjoy sitting historical fact on its head.
First, Yoruba do not like my truthful contribution on this forum.
Second, Ihijirika has no business attending the funeral of disgraced GOC of a Division. Adekunle was not a Quartermaster-General, Adjutant-General, Chief of Staff of Army, Chief of Staff Supreme Headquarters or Head of State. Do you think death of ordinary busy body and loudmouthed jackass such as Adekunle will attract military characters such as Ihijirika?
Third, I have to bust your bubble on this crap. Adekunle never set feet on Ubani (Bonny) until the last Biafran soldier left. Those Nigerian soldiers who saw battle in Ubani (Bonny) testified that Nigerian navy under the command of Nelson Soroh saved the day for them. The two Nigerian battalions the landed in Ubani (Bonny) were at the verge of total annihilation when NNS Lokoja and Enugu opened barrage of cannons. Also, tactical oversight on Major Ogbugo Kalu who pulled out prematurely due to heavy bombardments from big guns on the warships paved the way for Nigerian side.
Fourth, I guess you did not listen to yourself. It was down to every human that Yoruba and their fellow minority tribes in southern Nigeria were absolutely not a factor whether Gowon becomes a Head of State or not. The main headache of Gowon and northern region of Nigerian elites was eastern region. Which coup are you talking about in the post? Yoruba can not and will never engender the intestinal fortitude to precipitate a coup in Nigeria. Let me drum it into your skull that coup is not meant for cowards.
Fifth, Nigeria is a renowned cesspit. did i just read 'warship'? Hahaha, what warship are u talking about? Certainly not in niaja during the war. |

Oga it seems u are sweating, should i get a fan. Joagbaje: The court case is not the issue . The principle is thie same for every dispute either doctrinal or civil. It's dealt with in house . The issue is not who wins . But sinners watching saints tear each other apart for self righteous glory. Early church had doctrinal issue. And they respected each others conviction. I may not agree with you . Whatever you're preaching I may not agree with you but don't bring it to my door step. That's Paul's idea. He had obvious issues with other apostles . But truth is communicated in love . So long as there is a chance you might be wrong, humble yourself .
Romans 14:5-6 One man esteemeth one day above another:another esteemeth every day alike. Let every man be fully persuaded in his own mind. He that regardeth the day, regardeth it unto the Lord; and he that regardeth not the day, to the Lord he doth not regard it. He that eateth, eateth to the Lord, for he giveth God thanks; and he that eateth not, to the Lord he eateth not, and giveth God thanks.
Fighting to the death is not of God . Especially if the person you're contending with has scriptural backing for what he believes. u don quote tire. |

frosbel: This Sunday in Church , take your 'Tithes' and Offerings to Church.
When the service gets to the Malachi 3 session, look for anyone around you who has real needs, and give your tithes and offerings to them.
Better still ask the ushers or pastors to ask the following people to come forward :
- Mothers who do not know where the next meal for the family will come from - Fathers who have lost their Jobs - Widows who have no husbands - Orphans who have no parents. - Students who are barely eating talk less of paying school fees - Those who wear rags or who have no shoes - the homeless and destitute.
Do not give it to the ushers or take it to the front of the church , give it to these people, these are GOD's children who have real needs, yes, they are the ones who need your money, your spare clothes and shoes, extra cars etc.
I repeat, do not give a dime to your church or pastor and let us see how they will react !!!! hahaha, once suggested this to a friend he replied, " d bible says 'bring ur tithes into the house of God..." it didnt say give it to the poor, offering 4 d poor is different and tithe is for the man of God". I smiled. |

Homosexual behaviour widespread in animals according to new study Homosexual behaviour is a nearly universal phenomenon in the animal kingdom, according to a new study. Dolphins have been known engage in same-sex interactions to facilitate group bonding Photo: GETTY

Comment
The pairing of same sex couples[/color] had previously been observed in more than 1,000 species including penguins, dolphins and primates.
However, in the latest study the authors claim the phenomenon is not only widespread but part of a necessary biological adaptation for the survival of the species.
They found that on the Hawaiian island of Oahu, almost a third of the Laysan albatross population is raised by pairs of two females because of the shortage of males. Through these 'lesbian' unions, Laysan albatross are flourishing. Their existence had been dwindling before the adaptation was noticed.
Other species form same-sex bonds for other reasons, they found. Dolphins have been known engage in same-sex interactions to facilitate group bonding while male-male pairings in locusts killed off the weaker males.
A pair of "gay" penguins recently hatched an egg at a German zoo after being given the egg that had been rejected by its biological parents by keepers. ..................
Where is the evidence? This ^?
