not sure if it was the same one i read about yesterday (was it his last papal mass?)

but seems it was a very emotional time for the congregants.

i'm sure he'll be missed.
no, this is not the ash wednesday mass homily, d ash wed homily was on joel, "rend ur heart not ur garment". The general audience above is on conversion, its on our present world and d need to place God in his place as first.

GiantParrot: Thanks, Rather than spend a lot of time here discussing the many points I had raised (some of which have been better understood now), I prefer to take a look at the websites Mr. Italo had suggested for answers. Take care.
thats fine by me, if you need more sites just ask i'll provide.

truthislight: i am disappointed from this statement of yours above.
sentiments #yawn#

How do you mean? Can you explain with reason and not your own opinion?

Is it catholic doctrine the form/founded christianity or it is Jesus christ and the apostolic teaching as recorded in the bible and the epistle of the apostles of christ?
u mean d bible catholics wrote and compiled abi?

the base argument is catholic failure meaning the failure of christianity.

The books of the bible are the epistle of the apostlesof christ.
if i remember correctly, d council of carthage said so.

is it the catholics that decides the doctrin or the scriptures?
d church is d pillar and ground of truth, she makes d decisions in line with d faith delivered to d saints once and for all.

The apostles.
The scriptures.
The catholic church.

^ which came first?
d order is 1 the apostles 2 the church 3 the bible.

Where the apostles not followers of christ/christians?

If the catholic church fails, do you mean that the apostles of christ will not be save also, bearing in mind that they are also christians?

If not, why claim the exclusiveness of being right to catholics since their epistle is what that should be followed.

That a religious body went/goes wrong, does that mean that the epistle written in black and white later went wrong?
u are now making noise, he said if d cath church which is historic christianity is wrong, then non historic "christians" cant claim to be right.

that is irrelevant.
This epistles were already in use by christians befor it was brought together.
do u know how many epistles were in use?

how?

Did catholics change the epistles of christ apostles?

Or, are you insinuating that the apostles were wrong? Explain please.

cool ^^

guy you wicked oh!
You have no idea about what I'm talking about. The Apostles and early Christians were never called Catholics, they never practised what the Catholics are now doing. Christianity as we now know it started it's downward spiral when Constantine converted for political reasons. But God knows those that are His (and He isn't bound to any one denomination).
and Jesus wasnt called a christian, what else?

MacDaddy01: There have been white European popes.
You said that when the African gets some particular qualities, the will become popes.
You cant run away from this
read in context! I responded to someone who was grading d next pope by race and i said race isnt the criteria! Instead d pope must posses certain qualities and if an african posses such he will be elected. U have turned this into a white vs black arguement, d very tin i advocated against. Anyone whether black, white, pink, yellow, brown or red stands a chance of been d next pope in asmuch has he posseses d right quality.
The reason gven by the Pope for his resignation was not actually real, rather he is resigning because the vatican catholic pronounced him an anti-pope who is not following the Roman Catholic dogmas. So, he was labelled a heretic pope. For more information go to www.vaticancatholic.com and you will see how the church presented Pope Benedicts XV1.
that is a joke, those guys are schismatic if not heritic, they also insulted d late pope john paul 2 as well. That has nothing to do with d popes resignation. Those guys are probably excomunicated catholics and their opinion doesnt concern d pope. Watch out they will also insult d next pope.

Cyberbaze: pls my fellow Catholics,I heard a rumor that people of Rome are protesting about the legalisation of same sex marriage in Catholic church..and one of my mind told me that thatz y pope resign not to be the one to legalise it..Pls lets pray so that the new pope wil not legalise that abnormality act,cuz Anglican HQ Cantabury legalised it immidiately after the entrance of the new bishop.
actually it is imposible 4 any pope to legalise same sex marriage, one d catholic church takes a position on faith or morals that position is final and cannot be changed. Even if i die today i know d catholic church will neva change her position on homosexuality.
Put ur mind at rest.

Did anyone see phil jones intimidating the real madrid with his physical presence? The yellow on rvp and rafael was a shocker. I expected a red card for d push on the back when evra got a one on one, suprisingly the ref didnt even blow the while. Ramos shuld also have taken a yellow for a back push on welbeck but d ref didnt care, to add to the whole silly officiating he ended d match at d 59th second without allowing d corner. Such a ref will award a penalty and end the match b4 d penalty is played.

bleufaucon: The new pope will use a unique name that has never been used before,he will come from a jewish family. This is the Last pope for the catholic church, the 8th since 1929,known as Peter. Madness
u failure to understand a particular position doesnt make it madness! It is about race but qualities and if an african posses such he will be elected. I never said anything abt "africans been inferior".

FreeGlobe: Yes but he is just 64 and that will disqualify him. Nobody would want a lifetime Pope especially when you are black. So Cardinal Arinze is ahead if a black Pope will happen.
actually if logic is followed, since pope ben retire due to advanced age, a younger person shuld b elected and d ghanian fits d profile. Nothing disqualifies him.

pato station: So what's the use? Teaching of demons? (1 Timothy 4:1). Going to the right "church" will help many to gain salvation. Not following some church traditions that have no Biblical basis. According to mark 7:13,Mt 15:3 and Col 2:8, we are warned about making the word of God invalid by following traditions
correction "by following human tradition" not by follow bible tradition.

I pray to God straight..in the name of Jesus and he answers my prayers..he's not an incapable God that he'll need one mary to intercede for me mehn!
google d word intercession, u are not making sense. No one goes to mary instead of Jesus but thru Jesus with the host of heaven, including mary.

The Fairness of God’s Judgment

.

12 “Therefore you, O son of man, say to the children of your people: ‘The righteousness of the righteous man shall not deliver him in the day of his transgression; as for the wickedness of the wicked, he shall not fall because of it in the day that he turns from his wickedness; nor shall the righteous be able to live because of his righteousness in the day that he sins.’ 13 When I say to the righteous that he shall surely live, but he trusts in his own righteousness and commits iniquity, none of his righteous works shall be remembered; but because of the iniquity that he has committed, he shall die. 14 Again, when I say to the wicked, ‘You shall surely die,’ if he turns from his sin and does what is lawful and right, 15 if the wicked restores the pledge, gives back what he has stolen, and walks in the statutes of life without committing iniquity, he shall surely live; he shall not die. 16 None of his sins which he has committed shall be remembered against him; he has done what is lawful and right; he shall surely live.

17 “Yet the children of your people say, ‘The way of the Lord is not adjusted right, But it is their way which is not adjusted right! 18 When the righteous turns from his righteousness and commits iniquity, he shall die because of it. 19 But when the wicked turns from his wickedness and does what is lawful and right, he shall live because of it. 20 Yet you say, ‘The way of the Lord is not adjusted right!, O house of Israel, I will judge every one of you according to his own ways.”
