1) children are becoming wayward and carefree - while growing up, my parents (my mum in particular) had to always face a lot of gloomy and embarrassing situations when I strayed. In jss3, I was expelled for homosexuality. This was after spending a lot in a big boarding school. Later on, she was despondent after learning I dropped out of the university (fled because of money I owed bad guys). Till now, I've not changed even when I try to. moral decadence has eaten deep into the fabrics of the nation.
So avoid the worries and pains children bring. Children are no longer assets like in the past

2) the commitment is enormous - when a child is sick, vomiting at mid night, you get to lose your sleep to rush them to the hospital. You buy clothes, food, pay fees and a host of other things. you can't think straight again and have free mind as you are thinking of how to take care of more than 3 persons. That sh1t scares the hell out of me. My 15k can't even take care of me properly.

Many of us were also not well guided. I doubt if parenthood will fit most of us.

I feel you op, these days I just shut myself in the house and avoid everyone, if not for Marijuana God knows I would have done something stupid to end things. We are living in a country that's bent on making things hard . especially when everyone around you is going places and its not like you're doing nothing, you're making massive moves but nothing happens. Well, at least he looks like he is dying. He is now emaciated and all his favourite food is being rejecteted.

He has lost all his teeth and only eats soft food. He is even rejecting fish and ordinary soup. The poor thing is perpetually hungry but when we give him food, it is the lizards in the compound and neighbourhoods birds that it (you should see how fat those lizards are now).

Can anyone suggest what to feed a sixteen year old dog who seems to have lost his taste for food? Please, it hurts so much watching him waste away. Yesterday he was staggering around like a drunk because of hunger. We had to feed him left over meat pie and gala before he could get himself.

So sorry to hear about your dog. As a fellow dog owner I feel your pain.

At 16 years old your dog is already in it's last years sadly (going by the chart below, if your dog were to be human he should be within the 80-120 year old range)

The reason for your dog not eating can literally be anything. Your dog may have an upset stomach. Or it could be something more serious. If your dog doesn’t eat for more than a day I suggest taking it to the vet.

The reason is that it could be really serious. My dog refused to eat and when I took her to the vet I found out she had parvo. It took treatment at the vets and at home for a few weeks before she was okay.

If in addition to not eating, your dog is lethargic and without energy and doesn’t show any interest in anything else, then you must take it to the vet as soon as possible.

This is good and it's only just the beginning. More to come

Is this life worth anything?

What is life?

Because, I've come to realize that we're just living to die. And is this life worth the whole stress of living? If my question makes any sense.

I've also come to understand you don't live happily at any point. Things will happen and situations will keep stressing you at every point. When you're poor, you want to be rich so that you can solve your problems. But when you're also rich, there'll be stress. You'll start trying to make sure you don't go back to poverty and invest wisely. You can't just sit and enjoy your wealth. Situations will keep cropping up. Sometimes I'm scared to be happy because happiness doesn't last. Something bad must always happen.


What is this life?
Is it worth the stress that issues will keep coming up and you don't even get to sit back and enjoy?


Being a child is the best thing that happened to us all. Because then you had no worries, as we grow, our needs becomes endless. We're insatiable.

What is life? I'm tired of living, living this hard life knowing I'm going to die anytime and my goals and dreams that I'm working for becomes nothing at the end. I'm tired of getting almost everything wrong. Tired of not being happy all the time and the stress that keeps coming up.


What is the essence of life if we're just living and suffering only to die. Because in this life, THERE'S NOTHING LIKE HAPPILY EVER AFTER. We're just going through hell, just to die at the end.

Your question is unique; as is any question pondering on the meaning or purpose of life.

The essence of life is one’s innate characteristics, quality and substance of thoughts and actions. A person of the aforesaid qualities, generally, radiates personality flair. Let me give an example of such person from history:

His name was Goethe a German philosopher, poet and other attributes. In his own life he experienced much sorrow, but gradually he gained an inner command over life’s difficulties and attained a detachment and calm which brought peace to him. Napoleon first saw him when he was over sixty. As he stood in the doorway, there was something in his face and figure, an untroubled look and bearing so full of dignity, that Napoleon exclaimed: “Voila un homme!” meaning (Look) “What a man!”

Whoever acquires detachment and calm following difficult time may emerge a person with essence of life spreading fragrance of his/her qualities. There are many dignitaries in this category, but the above just flashed in my mind.

So in summary, to me the essence of life is To Know Thyself. For me "know thyself" means to know your authentic self, true you or sincere core. Name it however you'd like to.

It's to know your real:

Goals (what do you want in life?)
Values (why do you want to achieve your goals?)
Style (how do you want to achieve your goals?)
From here one can move towards their dreams and have happy, fulfilled life.

In my opinion, it's not enough to "know thyself", you need to "be thyself". You might find out your true want but still doing a job you hate. You've got to have guts to follow your heart. You will thank yourself later for this.

Here are some steps to take to get over your ex finally:

First of all:

Understand that breakups happen. You're not alone. A lot of people break up everyday, and the pain that comes is NEVER easy.
In fact, most of your relationships are going to end in breakups till you finally find the one you’re meant to be with.
It's a learning experience you have to learn sadly, but I want to let you know that you CAN get through this.
Very likely, though there are things to be improved upon, your breakup isn’t a reflection on you. Very likely, it has more to do with your ex than you.
All the breakups I have seen so far, I find, always have unhappiness leading to them.

Second:

Look at your feet. It's silly, but tell yourself you are still walking and breathing. Tell yourself that you are still alive right now, and losing your (supposed) other half isn't going to kill you.
You can get through this.

Third:

You need to numb your self for this. Be a robot and do this automatically. Push your feelings aside for a while.

Phone number
Whatsapp
Any physical item that reminds you of your ex, throw away or put into a box to put somewhere you won't look at for a long time

Harden your heart. THROW away anything that you don't want to keep and that hurts you.
Again, cut off ALL contact. Don't do the "let's be friends" thing. Third time: Cut off all contact.

Forth:

Allow yourself to grieve. Listen to sad songs, cry it out. Talk it out over and over again with close friends and family. Ask them to be there for you while you pull yourself together.
Tell your friends/family that you don't have the energy to call them, and you would appreciate if they checked in on you every few days. Believe me, the worst thing people can do is say "let me know if you need anything" at this period, even if they mean well.
Because at this time when you're feeling vulnerable, you can't quite stand the guilt of being a burden to people, nor do you have the energy to call anyone. So if your friends really want to help you, ask them to call you.

Fifth:
Happiness comes from within. What you are missing now, give it right back to yourself.
Feeling lonely? Hang out with friends.
Feeling sad and bored? Cheer yourself up by doing the things you absolutely love to do, that doesn't involve her.
The key is to feel independent and happy without her.

Sixth:
Now's a good time to get a support group. You can find some on Facebook or the internet.
Your friends are not going to like you being upset for long. Best that you join a support group who knows exactly how you are feeling as soon as you can.

Seventh:

The truth is, it really is not time, but ACTION, that truly determines how fast and well you will heal.
You can get over a 2-year relationship in a month, and a 4-year relationship in 2 days.
It is possible. You just need to believe that it is possible.

About the abuse of your photo, well, I doubt you should worry too much. I’ve seen some people have already been copied many times on social media, especially if they’re a public figure—it’s just inevitable. If you’re not someone of any influence however (like me ), there should be very little reason on why people should bother re-creating your persona online. I don’t believe it’d happen to most of us unless somebody is really serious to do something with your name or photo. Otherwise, it’s usually pretty safe.

The Internet is a HUGE place—everybody can play inside it however they like. Real-life consequences often don’t apply on the internet, so people have a tendency to say things they wouldn’t say in real-life, or show things they wouldn’t if not because of social media. Now if you put your content up there on the internet, it is subject of use to anyone that can find you—basically that’s the way things usually spread. If they don’t have access, it’s hard to pick up anything important.

So at the end of the day it depends on you really. As for me I don't see the big deal about putting my picture on the internet
