Honestly this is a big problem in this country, one of the reasons I'm scared of having a child in this country cos most hospitals are filled with quack nurses. My grandma was one of such nurses that didn't go to school but learnt in the hospital, she is very lucky no child died in her care as she was a delivery nurse. Ask her anything about drugs or child development, she will give wrong answers. I saw a thread where a doctor said his family didn't want him to marry his illiterate fiance, people were advising him to send her to a hospital to train as an auxiliary nurse. I was shocked, I weep for this country. If she kills someone now, they will be the same people to cry.

Nobody should be called a nurse except the person went to the university and acquired a bsc nursing degree. No wonder the health care system is a mess.

Hello in house Doctors,My niece got hit by hot boiling water on her stomach and leg late yesterday night when her mum was about to bathe her,details from her are still sketchy as this was the only thing she said when she called early this morning on the phone....

The ambulance took them to where she was given birth to but was rejected and they were referred to another hospital in another city where they were hurriedly taken away in an helicopter to an emergency in the referred hospital...

PLS WHAT HER CHANCES AND HOW CRITICAL IS IT ?...Searched the internet to get informations that will give me some hope and make me calm but found nothing yet

The only positive is they are not in a Nigerian hospital where medical attentions are delayed but in Europe....

Okay, here is my testimony and I hope it gives you and your family a lil bit of hope and calm.

Same thing happened to me as a baby, I guess barely 2 months or maybe more, but I was a pretty Johnny just come on planet earth.
Mine was from my head, the left part of my head,down my face I'm not sure if it extended to my stomach.
Treatment went on for months,and luckily for me, I only have a lil bit bald spot ( not so obvious) on my head. My face is fine, well, except if you come really close ( maybe to kiss me) then you would notice some uneven patches of complexion. Asides that I'm good.from afar, there's nothing noticeable.
So y'all be calm. Seeing her in pain would be heartbreaking, but she will pull thru, it's just for this period. My mum mentioned Honey( original one) helped me heal. Also ,my melanocytes were still in their prime, so my skin was able to regenerate better.
My mum said mine was pitiful,as strangers were even dashing her money for my treatment.
