PoliticsRe: Gunmen Kill US Returnee In Enugu by UncleJJ(m): 10:04am On Dec 27, 2012
Kewt: Very tragic considering the impact this news will have on other Nigerians living in diaspora who may have plans to come back to Nigeria to invest or settle down to contribute favourably to our GDP.

Well, kidnapping, armed robbery, rape, bunkery et al.. are symptoms of a failed state where leaders fail to provide basic provisions for it's citizenry and growing youth population.

A case of sitting on a time bomb! This can only be the begining!
You mean easterners in diaspora.... people are landing in lagos, abuja, taraba, bauchi, kogi, sokoto, kaduna, katsina, edo and other states.... cool

T9ksy: @ bolded.............Exactly!!!

Ibos only chance of smelling aso rock lies in their endorsement by northerners......yeah right and pigs will grow wings and fly!

Am of the mind that Achebe choose to release his yeye autobiography at this inaspicious moment to benefit the north. With the yorubas and the ibos at

each other's throat, i can't envisage either group supporting the other in their presidential ambition. Meanwhile, northerners are slaughtering

southerners (both yorubas & ibos) with unabated ferocity in their enclave but achebe- an old man in his 80's thought the best he could for his people

now, is to pit them against another major group from the south.

Oh well, i hope the silly ol' goat makes loads of bucks from his book but one thing is certain, he will be best remembered for "There was a country"

and the negative impact it had on southern nigerians.
Achebe in his old age is wiser than you are. And for good reason's decided to share his own version of the truth. He cannot dispute his facts, as you did not witness these wars or killings - you are merely commenting from words your read from history books.

And, if credible men like Chinua Achebe (respected throughout the world) can be disputed by mere mortals like you - then maybe you should really think about what the OP said ,and the advice towards the ibo people.

You can never rule Nigeria, without support from the North - politics is a numbers game. It's quite unfortunate, Ojukwu's greed and lust for power , put the future generation of ibo land into this political darkness. Ojukwu (RIP) is now with his ancestors - and left his family in disarray, just like the ibo people.

Christianity EtcRe: Should Nigerian Churches Be Taxed? by UncleJJ(m): 9:54am On Dec 17, 2012
If a church has a bank account it can be taxed, but the tax would be quite low.

Its rare to find mosques with bank accounts , so taxing a mosque might be hard. And, if donations were for humanitarian or non-profit reasons - what would you be taxing.

The fact is that the pentecostal churches have grown rich cos of the tax system, which favour's a lot of us - not only the churches.

But, then again - special tax should be given for churches with private jets - with all the billions of dollars the catholic church has, how many private jets does it boast of, and yet still feed the hungry and clothes the naked.

As long as these churches, are not spending atleast 70% of their incomes on charity and 30% on expenses - they should be heavily taxed.
PoliticsRe: [Mischievous Speculation] Andrew Azazi Was Killed Because Of 2015 By Presidency by UncleJJ(m): 9:47am On Dec 17, 2012
Billyonaire: OP; But the Pilot called the control tower and reported engine failure on the 10th trip of the airlifts between Delta and PH. Use your head sometimes. Lifting off and landing are very difficult during flights. For an Helicopter, it amounted to 10 lift offs and 10 landings at a very short period. The helicopter engine stopped working few minutes after take-off shows its mechanical fault. But if the helicopter was stable in the air, then I would have suspected foul play. It's clearly mechanical fault.
HA HA Oga billyoniare, i guess the pope is also not a catholic ! wink

This plane is own and operated by the Nigerian Navy , fr fcks sake it should be able to run 50 lift off and 50 landings

PoliticsRe: Marginalisation: Yoruba Leaders To Storm Aso Rock Again by UncleJJ(m): 12:29am On Dec 17, 2012

I was never aware that Yakowa had any fresh beef with KD muslim elites. He was handed that seat by the former govenor and now VP. If truly, Namadi wanted his crony to rule KD he would have. Yakowa is also Namadi's friend.

Lets top deceiving ourselves, if truly this was a setup, it was for Azazi and we all know why. Why kill Yakowa, the muslims have a majority in the house of assembly so, why not impeach him.

Yakowa was in the right place at the wrong time.

We lost 2 important people here - Gov Yakowa and Gen Azazi cry

Amaizu: I just got a mail from a paternal cousin on a gift he sent thru a friend to me.Its a 3rd Generation Ipad 16GB with only WIFI.My Question is;considering that i stay in Enugu where the only means of internet access is thru GSM providers, can i use the ipad without 3 or 4G for browsing.I need to be educated.Never used one before
Sell, your old fones and get an andriod. Or if you can afford another cell get an android, use an airtel sim for 1gb, fire up the android wifi tethering and connect your ipad to the machine. You can now use the ipad to form levels anywhere their service, the fones stay in your pocket.

PS. You should have asked for an android tablet... far more versatile cool

Other kings, just dey ...... how can you be influencial when we you have never come out to speak for your people's welfare.

PoliticsRe: I'll Perform Better In 2013 - Jonathan by UncleJJ(m): 12:58pm On Dec 15, 2012
Sincere 9gerian: It's so exciting to note that while the HATERS continue to HATE, Jonathan has continued to IMPRESS and DELIVER.

1) Nothing excites me more than the privatisation of PHCN that is almost being concluded by this govt. For me, this is the most important achievement of the GEJ administration. 24hrs power supply is around the corner. Some of us now see more days of 24hrs non-stop public power supply.

http://www.vanguardngr.com/2012/12/phcn-fg-shifts-ground-agrees-to-pay-off-54000-staff/

2) Another exciting transformation is the massive rehabilitation of the rail transport system. Only few days ago, it was reported that the Lagos-Kano rail line has been completed and tested, and ready to take-off 20th of this month.
This will add to the numerous other rail routes that have been rehabilitated and put to use including the Lagos-Illorin rail line and other intra-city railway services. Other corridors currently under serious construction include eastern corridor(Enugu-PH-north), Abuja-Kaduna(fast rail line), Itapke-Ajaokuta-Warri(fast rail line).
The implication of reviving the rail transport cannot be over-emphasised, including reduced cost of transportation, reduced price of food items, safer transport, longer life span of our roads, etc

http://www.punchng.com/news/lagos-kano-mass-transit-train-service-begins-dec-20/

3) What about the massive re-building of 11 airports in Nigeria, including the one Enugu, Owerri, Benin,Lagos, etc The completed ones are simple beautiful to behold. When the 11 airports currently under re-construction are completed, reconstruction will begin immediately in the remaining 11 airports under FAAN. Also part of the aviation master plan of this govt is total over-haul of the institutions in the industry(done already), creationof a national carrier, building of aero-tropolis, building of 5 new international terminals in 5 airports, including Enugu. If thisis not transformation, tell me what it is.

4) The education sector has alsoreceived serious attention in terms of infrastructural upgrade. The federal unity schools are being rehabilitated in phases, Almajiri schools are being built to cater for the over 11million out of school children in the north, the higher institutions are recieving more funds than ever this time, etc Also important is the creation of 9 new federal universities in Ebonyi, Jigawa, Gombe, Ekiti, Bayelsa, Kogi, etc In fact, some ofthe brand new universities, including federal university Kashere, Gombe has commenced operation providing access to higher education for locals and employment.

http://www.universitiesnews.com/2012/08/10/nigeria-fg-increases-funding-to-universities-others-by-over-40-percent/

5) Significant progress is being made in terms of road construction. In the last 1 to 2yrs, 11 inherited(most abandoned) road projects, were COMPLETED, including: Vom-Manchok road (Plateau State), Yola-Numan road (Adamawa State), Gombe Bye-pass (Gombe State), KadunaRefinery road (Kaduna State), Kano-Daura-Mai Adua road (Katsina State), Aba-Owerri road(Abia State), Onitsha-Owerri road (Anambra State) and Oyo-Ogbomosho road (Oyo State).
Massive work is ongoing in various other highways in the 6 geo-political zones, including ongoing dualisation of Abuja–Abaji–Lokoja Road, Kano–Potiskum–Maiduguri Road; the Benin–Ore–Shagamu Expressway; the Onitsha–EnuguExpressway; and the construction of the Loko–Oweto bridge( across River Benue), East-West road, etc

http://www.thenationonlineng.net/2011/index.php/newsextra/60567-govt-to-complete-enugu-onitsha-expressway-soon.html
We expect ACTUAL construction of 2nd Niger bridge to commence in 2013.
Failure to build 2nd Niger Bridge is the ONLY thing that can make me stop supporting GEJ. Enugu-PH road is currently undergoing rehabilitation to make it motorable, pending when full re-construction will commence. Lagos-Ibadan expressway is currently recieving similar attention.

These are ongoing projects, those completed have no economic importance. Please, give us a short list of completed projects. Date started and Date Completed, including Contractors coy name and total expenses.
PoliticsRe: FG Drops Planned Refinery Projects ! by UncleJJ(m): 12:50pm On Dec 15, 2012
FG should dip its hands in foreign reserve and lend each oil producing state (with significant quantity) money to build low - medium capacity refineries.

The NNPC should manage it based on Build Operate Transfer for certain period. Using 70:30 sharing formula , with each party contributing 5% of it income to the maintenance account. After, FG recoup its money... it transfers all controlling stock to the state, but still retain 10-15% of each refineries - this will allow them access to information regarding the refineries.

After which, the states will list the refineries on the stock market but states must control at least 40% of the refinery.

PoliticsRe: Is Sanusi Still Better Than Soludo? by UncleJJ(m): 11:03pm On Dec 13, 2012
How can SLS - a mallam from Northern Nigeria be better than Soludo and Ibo man with a professorial degree.

How can, it is impossible. For a hausa man to rise above an Ibo man - tufiakwa.

This is the reason, the Ibo people will never rule this country - una no get clean mind for anybody. sad You rather, your destructive lying brother - who kills you than a hausa man, that has done all he can to protect the banks in which you save the money you feed your families and pay your kids school and medical fees.

When will the IBO rise up and look past this tribalistic crap. cry

The east can never accept that soludo rigged this a nation to blow, a confirmation of this is his interest in politics - clearly he had a reason for supporting this massive corruption.

- How many times did Soludo, stand up to the government and reprimand them for their wasteful spending. His actions, have proved he is a better manager than his Ibo counter part.

- We speak of degrees, educational Soludo has a higher rank than Sanusi but it does not mean he (sanusi) can't do the job. Several valid arguments have risen against works of Einstein, Freud and many others. Henry Ford became a billionaire with little educational background.

So, the question - if QUALIFICATION is the best measure of an individuals ability to perform is always welcomed.

- Okonjo Iweala has all the degree's, how her performance ?
- Diezani has all the degree's , how's her performance ?
- Goodluck Jonathan, has all the degree's how is his performance ?

I always believed the Ibo people were intelligent and wise but this forum has taught me otherwise and in so doing revealed to the world - your (the ibo people) low self-esteem and utter disregard for your fellow country man's God given rights. The same rights you are quick to claim , when you feel cheated.

WAKE UP.... dnt get left behind, like the ever complaining wife.

RomanceRe: She Is An Introvert, Can I Still Marry Her? by UncleJJ(m): 8:41pm On Dec 11, 2012
I dnt think there is anything wrong with ur wife at the moment.

She has boundaries and does a good job communicating them.

Do you have boundaries and do you communicate them, do u say my family is important, if they have a nowhere else to go and i have a spare room or similar i must help.

You need to be the man and decide for the two of you. She pushes her dad around and he allowed it, am not saying women dont deserve utmost privacy, but ur nt hr dad!

Right now she's leading the relationship and telling you how to live ur life (u already hav ur mum fr dat), cursing ur friends and throwing her sis out of ur house. You must learn to speak and communicate who d boss is.

This has nothing gender equality but hierachy. U can marry her only when she accepts ur authority, u r a man nt a child!

donroxy: The Topic is quite Misleading ''Majority stake'' ...........

The Nigerian Army belong to The Federal Republic of Nigeria ..... Thats all........

The Northern Nigeria has favoured herself in terms of population, states,Number of Local Govts thus more representation in Army than southerners........

More representation doesn't mean Majority stake, Army belongs to Fed-Govt
Dont mind these jackals..... did anybody tell the SE SS SW not to join the military or navy.

the ibo man dominates commerce
the yoruba man dominates banking and petroleum
the hausa man dominates the military

so what..... another guy say's there in the military cos the like blood more. In developed country, the guy in the military are the most loyal, patriotic and dependable. Since jonathan became president, how many northerners have controlled the army ... and you sit down on your old chinko laptop - talking trash.

The real problem of Nigeria is the schools, our student by thier degrees cos if they read thier books, they would be able to think before they speak.

The world is no place for emotional men, who speak with their feeling not their brains. Use that thing between your ear's and your realise what you just said can only come out from a man who has never travelled beyond the boundaries of his village.
