The Leader of the Shiites in Nigeria, Sheikh El-Zakzaky who is in India for medical care has threatened to return to Nigeria over what he feared as plot to kill him and his wife in New Delhi. “They’re holding us in what looks like worst detention facility than that of Nigeria,” Elzakzakky said in a subtitle of his audio message on the current situation in Delhi, India shared on a twitter handle @SZakzakyOffice. The transcript of the audio message of Sheikh Zakzaky from India is as below: "We are now here in New Delhi, India. As you all know there was an arrangement for us to come here to seek medical care regarding the ailments that we have, myself and Malama Zeenah. She, Malama Zeenah has a full bullet lodged in her body(that needs to be removed), also she is in need of a knee replacement surgery in addition to other problems. As for me, there are shrapnel, very small fragments in my eyes, in my hands and some in my right thigh that were slowly releasing toxins into my system which caused a lot of complications, which we later discovered that they were the caused of the mini strokes I have had, both the first and the second time. So we were thinking the first thing to be done is to remove the shrapnel, which is a procedure that couldn’t be done at home and the doctors suggested that we should go abroad where it will be possible for the procedure to be done. Then the second thing would be to clean my body of the toxins, which I was told are deposited in the bones and some in the flesh and this normally takes time to be done. I also have a problem with my eye which the doctors that attended to us since after I had a second operation and my sight weakened, suggested that I should be taken to better facilities to have it tended to". A proscribed secessionist group in Nigeria, the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) has exposed what it called a plot by the Governor of Ebonyi State, Engr.Dave Umahi to become the running mate to the national leader of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, Bola Ahmed Tinubu in 2023. In a statement signed by the Group’s Spokesperson, Emma Powerful, on Tuesday, IPOB said the ill-ambition of Umahi for the 2023 presidency was what pushed him into the “deluded and misguided” move to group it in Ebonyi State. The group also said Igbo governors, from Nigeria's South-east, were "fooling themselves". “Dave Umahi’s desperate attempt to turn our beloved Ebonyi State into another vassal state is dead on arrival. “IPOB is on the ground and will never allow it. If his ‘Alice in Wonderland’ dream of becoming Bola Tinubu’s running mate in the 2023 presidential election is his motivation for coming out against IPOB at this critical moment in our history, then he is not only misguided but deluded," IPOB said. The Group added that Gov.Umahi had always sought to "impress his masters by making grand declarations" against IPOB. “Sometime in mid-2017 he issued a fatwa against our leader and boasted that IPOB’s rallies would never hold in Ebonyi State,” Powerful claimed. “How many Fulani governors have come out against herdsmen or Boko Haram? Yet Igbo governors keep on making a complete fool of themselves by attacking IPOB." Igbo youths under the aegis of The Ohanaeze Ndigbo Youth Council, OYC, Worldwide has vowed to do everything within its powers to frustrate the alleged 2023 presidential ambition of APC National Leader, Bola Ahmed Tinubu. The Group in a statement on Tuesday signed by its General-Secretary, Mazi Okwu Nnabuike, vowed to mobilize Igbos in the Southwest to thwart any plan by Tinubu to succeed Buhari in 2023. The group hinged its anger against Tinubu on what it described as a declaration of terror on the peaceful Igbo during the 2015 and 2019 presidential elections. It cited the Oba of Lagos’ “threat of drowning Igbo voters inside the lagoon and the secret mobilization of OPC boys to chase away potential Igbo voters in some quarters in the South West especially Lagos state”. The statement said the APC leader must clear himself of the “allegations of fighting Igbos not to be part of President Muhammadu Buhari government, resisting the plea of Northern Elders Forum for Buhari to appoint an Igbo as Secretary to the Federal Government in 2015, provocative onslaught against the Igbos through demolition of markets in areas Igbos won some Federal and State Legislative seats in Lagos”. It added that “Northerners are now wiser than 2015 where they blindly entered political alliance with South West that solely benefitted Tinubu political dynasty. “They gave clearly seen that Tinubu’s Presidency will divide Nigeria along ethnic and religious lines. “As the political pact and alliance between the North and South West led by Tinubu seems crumbling, the road is cleared for the re-alignment of the North and Eastern Region becomes more feasible.” Ohanaeze Ndigbo Youth Council is advocating for a South-Easterner to succeed President Muhammadu Buhari in 2023. It is unclear if this can be achieved. (c) https://infoparrotng.com/2023-igbo-youths-vow-to-frustrate-tinubus-presidential-ambition/

Senator Ita Enang is set not to be reappointed, Information Parrot Nigeria reports. This follows the decision of the senate leadership to nominate a former member, Omoworare Babajide, from Osun, to replace him as presidential aide on the upper chamber. The choice of the two terms senator is as a result of the directive by President Buhari for the Senate to nominate someone they can work with. It may interest you to note that Senator Enang has occupied the position from 2015 till now. Senator Enang was unable to ensure a much cordial relationship between the 8th Senate headed by Dr.Bukola Saraki and the presidency, which seemingly affected the programs of the Buhari Government. It may interest you to note that Senator Omoworare Babajide was a former governorship aspirant under the APC in Osun State. Suanu's Blog Former President Goodluck Jonathan has thrown his weight behind the decision of former Nigeria’s vice president and presidential candidate of the PDP in the 2019 election, Atiku Abubakar to challenge President Muhammadu Buhari’s reelection in February, saying it would be “unfair” to compare Mr Abubakar’s situation to the 2015 election in which he (Mr Jonathan) accepted defeat. Mr Jonathan said the fundamentals of 2015 election, which saw him become Nigeria’s first incumbent leader to accept election defeat, were “very different” from the 2019 elections. In an interview with online media, Premium Times, Mr Jonathan said: “It is not right for anybody to compare Jonathan’s decision in 2015 with Atiku’s position in 2019 because they are two different scenarios.” “In 2015, I was a sitting president,” Mr Jonathan said. “Although INEC is an independent body, every structure of government still operates under the president one way or the other.” “So I was a president and INEC conducted the elections under my watch. Atiku was not a sitting president and if he or the party feels that things were not done right, of course they are at liberty to challenge it in court,” Mr Jonathan said. Mr Jonathan, who described his presidential tenure as ‘unique’ in Nigeria’s history, also praised his achievements in office, saying he oversaw an economy that was consistently growing. “Nigeria was the number one destination for foreign direct investment under my tenure. We were rated the biggest economy in Africa. We transformed the agricultural sector and brought the nation closer towards food self-sufficiency,” he said. “Our currency was stable and inflationary pressure was kept at single digit. We may not have been comfortable with the exchange rate of less than N200 to the dollar at that time but I can tell you that the economy was stable. “The stability we had ensured that business people and investors could plan because you were sure of the exchange rate and the cost of your goods at any point in time, whether you were exporting or importing. Economically you could say that Nigeria was stable and strong.” Source: https://www.suanusblog.com/2019/06/jonathan-okays-atikus-decision-to.html

Suanu's Blog The Emir of Kano State, Muhammadu Sanusi II may be dethroned soon, Suanu's Blog reports. This is due to an ongoing probe into the finances of the emirate under him. The probe is been done by the Kano State Public Complaints and Anti-Corruption Commission. The commission had alleged the misappropriation of N6 billion by the Kano emirate council “without the approval of the state government”. Suanu's Blog gathered that the probe, which was halted in 2017, has now been revived. If Sanusi is found guilty of any financial impropriety, he stands a chance of been deposed. The move is believed to have some political undertunes following allegations that Emir Sanusi worked with some PDP leaders and members during the last governorship elections that narrowly led to the defeat of incumbent Governor Ganduje. Amidst the probe, Suanu's Blog reports that the size of the emirate under Emir Sanusi has also been reduced to 10 out of 44 local government areas (LGAs) in the state. This was made possible through a new that was almost immediately signed into law by the State Governor. According to the bill by the Kano state house of assembly, the state now has five emirates: Kano, Rano, Gaya, Karaye and Bichi and five emirs of equal jurisdiction. Kano emirate headed by Sanusi has 10 local governments: Kano Municipal, Tarauni, Dala, Nassarawa, Fagge, Gwale, Kumbotso, Ungogo, Dawakin Kudu and Minjibir. Kano and Rano emirates will control 10 local governments each while Gaya, Karaye and Bichi will control eight, seven and nine local government areas respectively. Among the new division, Rano emirate will control Rano, Bunkure, Kibiya, Takai, Sumaila, Kura, Doguwa, Tudun Wada, Kiru, Bebeji. Gaya emirate has Gaya, Ajingi, Albasu, Wudil, Garko, Warawa, Gezawa, Gabasawa LGAs. Karaye, Rogo, Gwarzo, Kabo Rimin Gado, Madobi, Garun Malam LGAs will be under the Karaye emirate. Bichi emirate will control Bichi, Bagwai, Shanono, Tsanyawa, Kunchi, Makoda, Danbatta, Dawakin Tofa, Tofa local governments. Emir Sanusi was yet to react to this strange development. Suanu's Blog The Rivers State Chapter of the All Progressives Congress, APC, has said that it has no plan to be a part of the PDP Government led by Governor Nyesom Wike in the state upon the commencement of his second term in office. This was made known by a Chieftain of the APC in Rivers State and Senator representing Rivers East, Andrew Uchendu while speaking on a radio program in Port-harcourt monitored by Suanu's Blog on Saturday. He said the APC was only interested in contributing to peace, good governance and development in Rivers State and not to join the Wike Government. "We are ready to join in making peace, that doesnt mean we will join him in his government, let him run his government", he said. The party also reacted to the move by the governorship candidate of the AAC, Engr.Biokpomabo Awara to seek redress at the tribunal over the outcome of the Rivers State Governorship Election. Sen.Uchendu said the party was yet to endorse the move by Engr.Awara challenging the reelection of Governor Nyesom Wike. "We have not taking a position on Awara going to tribunal", the lawmaker said. Suanu's Blog recalls that few days to the 2019 governorship election in Rivers State, the APC adopted AAC's Engr.Awara following the decision of the Supreme Court against its candidates. However, Gov.Wike defeated Engr.Awara by a wide margin to secure his re-election. Senator Uchendu also condemned the wave of insecurity in the state and called on Gov.Wike to make genuine efforts aimed at uniting Rivers People, engaging the youths positively, and ensuring sustainable peace in Rivers State. Suanu's Blog Despite the expected increment in the wages of workers due to the recent signing of the national minimum wage bill into law by President Muhammadu Buhari, workers at the Greater Port-harcourt City Development Authority (GPHCDA) are in for a tough time following the decision of the agency to slash their salaries by 25% due to what the agency described as "financial difficulty". Accordingly, the staff have been directed to fill necessary forms showing acceptance for the policy or be sacked. Suanu's Blog recalls that Gov.Nyesom Wike who had sacked workers in many of such agencies established by his predecessor, Rotimi Amaechi including the Rivers State Sustainable Development Agency, RSSDA had promised to pay any amount signed into law by the federal government as new national minimum wage. Suanu's Blog Despite owing workers' salaries for several months, Kogi State Governor, Yahaya Bello, has assured that his government will pay the new minimum wage of N30,000, Suanu’s Blog reports. The position of the Kogi State Government on the new minimum wage was made public by the Media and Publicity Coordinator to Governor Bello, Jide Orintunsin,. He said:”It will be recalled that the state workforce had a 25 per cent salary increase recently. “This has placed the state higher than the former minimum wage. “Governor Sani Bello, early this year, had assured the state workforce of the new minimum wage at a special session he had with organised labour recently. “He is committed to ensuring the welfare of the state workforce.” Suanu’s Blog recalls that President Muhammadu Buhari had recently signed the new minimum wage bill of N30,000 into law. It may interest you to note that Governor Yahaya Bello will be seeking reelection in the Kogi State Governorship Election scheduled for November, 2 2019 with the PDP resolute on taking over the state from him and the APC. Suanu's Blog Former Governor of oil-rich Akwa Ibom and chieftain of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, Godswill Obot Akpabio has denied allegations that he called his party evil and was considering returning to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). In a press release on Thursday night, signed by his Special Assistant on media, Anietie Ekong, Senator Akpabio disclosed that he had no regret whatsoever for the decision he took as a nationalist to join the APC. He e-echoed his earlier stand that he was rigged out of the race for re-election as Senator but will reclaim his mandate at the tribunal. The statement reads: “The attention of the Senator representing Akwa Ibom North West Senatorial District, His Excellency, Senator Godswill Akpabio, CON has been drawn to a malevolent quote dripping with malice and falsehood attributed to him in the social media thus: ‘I was a Commissioner for eight years and Governor for eight years under PDP, but now I have only spent three months and I am finished politically, what type of evil party is this?’ “We wish to state without fear of contradiction that this is the concoction by whoever authored it. The assertion is factually inaccurate. “Chief Godswill Akpabio never served as a Commissioner for eight years so he could never have so claimed nor could he have described his party, the All Progressives Congress (APC) as ‘evil party.’ “Distinguished Senator Akpabio has no regret whatsoever for the decision he took as a nationalist to join the All Progressives Congress and lend his support to President Muhammadu Buhari, whom he sees as an upright leader with the interest of the generality of the Nigerian people, especially the masses at heart. “Given similar circumstances and situations, Senator Akpabio would still take the same decision over and over again. He has no apology for his resolve. “As the National Coordinator of the Presidential Support Committee and the South-South Director of the Presidential Campaign Council during the last general elections, Senator Akpabio is proud to have worked with other Progressives for the re-election of President Buhari. He remains a committed member of the APC and will join hands and work with the President in any way to move the country forward. “There is no gainsaying that Senator Akpabio was rigged out of the race for re-election as Senator to represent the good people of Akwa Ibom North West Senatorial District. He’s presently at the Election Petition Tribunal to reclaim his stolen mandate and has the support of his party, the APC. He has implicit confidence in the judiciary to restore his mandate. “The quote attributed to him is the handiwork of political jobbers and mischief–makers, who in recent times have elevated political propaganda to high art. “The general public should discountenance these shenanigans trying, albeit unsuccessfully, to malign the integrity of Senator Akpabio.” Source: https://www.suanusblog.com/2019/04/i-have-no-plans-to-return-to-pdp.html

Suanu's Blog The lawmaker representing Rivers South-East Senatorial District, Magnus Ngei Abe has expressed disappointment at the twist in a report by Channels Television over an APC Stakeholders Meeting held by the faction loyal to him. The former governorship aspirant in a post on his Facebook page also lamented futile efforts made to get in touch with the Owner of Channels Television, Chief John Momoh. He alleged that the deliberate falsification of the details of the meeting was to achieve cheap political gains by his opponents within the APC in Rivers State using Channels TV as a medium. Suanu's Blog recalls that a report by Channels Television Sunday night had indicated that the Abe-led APC Stakeholders Meeting yesterday was held to celebrate the victory of Gov.Nyesom Wike in the just concluded governorship election in Rivers State, a claim that the lawmaker has denied. His post is as below; Prince John Momoh Chairman / CEO Channels Television My dear Brother , RE: CHANNELS REPORT ON THE RIVERS APC STAKEHOLDERS MEETING Compliments and fraternal greetings of this Easter Season. I hope my note meets you well. You may have seen my frantic calls, however since the matter I wanted to discuss with you is of equal importance to the public I have decided to pas it to you through the public medium. We held a meeting of APC Stakeholders in Rivers state where we amongst other things briefed members on the outcome of the Supreme Court Judgement, called for unity and inclusion in the party, and charted a way forward for the party. Channels TV whose reporter was physically present at the meeting from the beginning to the end, reported to the world that we gathered to celebrate Wike’s victory. I have since been receiving calls from all over the world from people expressing their shock and surprise. That report was not only false it was politically fabricated. Channels has a right to decide which story to carry, but you have no right to decide whose story you carry. The event must be allowed to tell the story. To forcefully present to the world that the meeting we held was in anyway or form associated with Governor Wike may be a story sponsored by those working for the opposition to create disaffection between the national leadership of the APC and the state, or worse still sponsored by the internal opposition within the Rivers State APC led by the Minister of Transportation that are the original purveyors of the story that we were somehow connected to Governor Wike. Either way Channels TV has deliberately acted to poison the minds of Nigerians and withheld the truth from them. It could not have been a mistake because your reporter was physically present at the meeting. Channels would have done better not to carry the story, than to carry a story about us that is definitely not our story. The meeting was held precisely because the Supreme Court of Nigeria had by its position vindicated our struggle and have shown to Nigerians that our movement was powered by nothing other than the quest for justice and fair play within the APC, but your report did nothing to celebrate that, rather you joined our political traducers to tar us with a poisoned brush. It was not just mischief it was wicked mischief. It is unacceptable. May I respectfully request that you investigate the source of your story and make public the name of the source of your story, or the originator if you are prepared to stand by the story. Where you are unable to stand by your story, please tender an unreserved and public apology to me and all APC stakeholders who attended the meeting. Secondly, publish the meeting on your medium from the beginning to the end let Nigerians see for themselves if your story in any way relates to the reality of what transpired at the meeting. It is unfortunate that people choose to use Channels Television, a brand that Nigerians have come to associate with integrity and truth in broadcasting as a medium to destroy perceived political opponents and sponsor mischief. Please act quickly to save both Channels and ourselves from further needless embarrassment. I sincerely look forward to hearing from you ASAP. Thank you and God bless you. Suanu's Blog President Muhammadu Buhari has joined concerned Nigerians and the international community to remember the abduction of some school girls from Chibok, a community in Borno State five years ago. The President in a post on his official Facebook page renewed his earlier promise of ensuring that the remaining school girls are released and returned to their parents and family. He also extended similar promise to Miss Leah Sharibu and others who are still in Boko Haram captivity. Mr.Buhari expressed joy at the progress Nigeria has made in the war against insurgency and terrorism so far under his administration. "Today marks five years since the abduction of our Chibok daughters. We have succeeded in bringing back 107 of them, but we will not rest until all the remaining girls are back and reunited with their families. I made this promise when I became President, and I will keep it. We will never give up on our missing daughters, including Leah Sharibu; and all the other people held hostage by Boko Haram. In the last four years our security agencies have successfully rescued thousands of captives, and they will not relent until every captive is free. It gladdens our hearts to see the progress being made by the young women rescued from Boko Haram. We celebrate their courage and determination to defy the evil ideology of the terrorists, by continuing to pursue their education. There is no doubt that the world is inspired by them. I extend our best wishes to all the Chibok girls in various schools in Nigeria and around the world. Special congratulations to Kauna Yaga Bitrus, who has excelled in her college in Maine, USA, and will very soon be receiving an 'Against All Odds Award' from her school", the President wrote. Suanu's Blog A former deputy governorship candidate of the African Action Congress, AAC, in Rivers State Mr.Akpo Bomba Yeeh, who was alleged to have received a whopping sum of N200m to dump his party and ambition for the PDP by the Rivers State Governor, Chief Nyesom Wike has returned back to the state from his trip abroad. Suanu's Blog gathered that after his controversial and last minute defection to the PDP and an immediate visit to Gov.Wike at the Rivers State Government House, Mr.Yeeh reportedly travelled to Dubai ahead of the guber poll. The trip was alleged to have been part of the deal he struck with Gov.Wike upon his defection to the PDP. He was also alleged to have received an SUV car and an apartment from Gov.Wike. Upon his arrival from Dubai Friday evening, the Ogoni Politician and retired senior police officer was received by his friends and supporters at the Port Harcourt International Airport. Speaking with newsmen on arrival, Mr.Yeeh thanked Rivers People for voting massively for Gov.Wike and expressed optimism that the governor will not disappoint them. Suanu's Blog recalls that upon the exclusion of the Rivers State APC from the 2019 general elections in the state, the faction loyal to the Transportation Minister, Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi had adopted the AAC Governorship Candidate, Engr.Biokpomabo Awara against the candidature of Gov.Wike of the PDP. However, Gov.Wike in a bid to neutralise that move, infiltrated the AAC camp and benefitted from massive defection of AAC key members including Mr.Yeeh to the PDP. Thereafter, Mr.Wike was declared as the winner of the controversial Rivers State Governorship election by the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC. Suanu's Blog The Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike has taken a move to reconcile with his former boss and predecessor, Rt.Hon.Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi. Gov.Wike revealed this in a state broadcast Thursday evening. According to the governor, the move was towards the formation of an all-inclusive government to advance the collective interest of all Rivers people, irrespective of party, ethnic or religious affiliations. Extending the olive branch to the Minister of Transportation and the APC, Gov.Wike said; "Although the present politics of acrimony and bitterness may have strayed from the noble path of the past, I still believe that we shall be better of standing and working together for our State and our people. I therefore appeal to the APC and the Minister of Transportation to join hands with us to move our dear State forward. We cannot as leaders continue to remain divided and expect Government to deliver on its responsibilities to our people. Let us from henceforth seek the common ground instead of allowing our differences to be exploited to retard our march to progress". In a further reconciliation move, Gov.Wike directed the Rivers State Attorney General to withdraw all pending litigations against leaders of the APC in Rivers State. "I hereby direct the Honourable Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice to review all pending criminal proceedings filed against any person by the State and directly related to political activities prior to the 2019 general elections and make appropriate recommendations to me for necessary action to promote reconciliation among us". He described the victory of the PDP in the 2019 general elections in Rivers State as " legally safe, secured and protected". He added this while reacting to the final decision of the Supreme Court on the legal battles in the Rivers State Chapter of the APC over its exclusion from the 2019 polls in the state. "Few hours ago, the Supreme Court of Nigeria struck out the consolidated appeals of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and Tonye Cole for lacking in merits. With this decision, all legal issues regarding the fielding of candidates by the APC for the 2019 National Assembly, Governorship and State House of Assembly elections in Rivers State have finally and permanently been put to rest. What this further means is that the victory of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and its candidates in the 2019 National Assembly, Governorship and State House of Assembly elections is legally safe, secured and protected". Mr.Wike also thanked Rivers People for reelecting him and promised to deliver on all his promises made to them. Source: https://www.suanusblog.com/2019/04/govwike-seeks-reconciliation-with.html?m=1

A former Director-General of the Atiku Campaign Organisation, Mr Gbenga Daniel, who recently announced his resignation from the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP and partisan politics generally, seems to be heading from a change of decision. Mr.Daniel, who is a former Governor of Ogun State on Sunday revealed that he is considering a request by his supporters that he should lead them to the All Progressives Congress, APC. Speaking with journalists after a meeting with his supporters “from across” Ogun State, the former governor said that his supporters had made it clear to him that he could not quit politics right now, and that they want him to lead them to the APC. He said, “You know that this process is about leading people and what we have done today is to call all of our people across the length and breathe of the state to subject our decision to a kind of plebiscite and, of course, you have seen what they have said. “Basically, they said, well, they agree that I could resign from PDP. They said I must lead them to APC and they said I cannot retire from politics. That is the summary of what I heard and we have to now take a look at it.” At the meeting which held at the Asoludero Court of the former governor in Sagamu, members of Daniel’s political group asked the former governor to lead them to the APC. Daniel had earlier addressed the gathering of his loyalists and told them he was done with partisan politics, but members of his political family, and some top officials of the PDP, prevailed over him saying they are ready to pitch their tent with the ruling party. They noted that Daniels’ influence, endorsement and support for APC’s Dapo Abiodun, had a great impact in deciding the governorship race in the state. The former governor’s loyalists agreed that he can resign from the PDP, however, they noted that his political journey is far from over, insisting that he leads them to the APC. Suanu's Blog Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Ezenwo Wike has donated the sum of N200million in scholarships to the children of PDP Collation Officer for Khana Local Government Area, Dr.Ferry Gberegbe, who died in the earlier hours of Saturday after being shot at his stomach by police officers believed to be of the Federal Special Anti-Robbery Squad (F-SARS). He directed the widow of the deceased to open bank accounts for each of the four children. Gov. Wike announced this donation on Saturday when he led other dignitaries on a condolence visit to the deceased family. The Governor, who is the candidate of the PDP in the botched governorship election in Rivers State also announced that the State Government will set up a Judicial Commission of Inquiry to ensure that the Federal Special Anti-Robbery Squad (F-SARS) personnel who killed Dr Ferry Gberegbe, PDP Khana Collation Agent are brought to justice. A statement by the Special Assistant to the Rivers State Governor, Electronic Medi, Simeon Nwakaudu quotes Gov.Wike as saying: “We will set up a Judicial Commission of Inquiry to ensure that the culprits are brought to Justice. It is unfortunate that F-SARs killed the PDP Collation Agent. “The State Government will offer scholarship to the four young children left behind by the deceased. The Mother of the children should open dedicated account for each of the children. The State Government will pay N50million to each of the four children for their education”. Gov.Wike accused the Rivers F-SARs Commander, Akin Fakorede, of masterminding Dr.Gberegbe’s death. He said: “It is most unfortunate that the young man was shot dead by F-SARs led by Akin Fakorede in an attempt to cart away election results. “Instead of us to allow people to choose who will represent and govern them, the security agencies will not allow that. Rather they prefer to kill us. “He died in the course of the defending the PDP. He died in the course of defending democracy. I want to assure the family that all those who killed him will not go free”. Governor Wike added that the State Government will also construct a house for the family of Late Dr Ferry Gberegbe and participate in his burial. The PDP National Chairman, Prince Uche Secondus blamed Dr.Gberegbe's death on the desperation of the federal government to take over Rivers State by all means. Widow of the deceased, Mrs Funke Gberegbe, Father of the deceased, Mr Conduct Gberegbe and his brother, Ben Lekia all expressed shock at the demise of Dr.Gberegbe by F-SARs operatives. Suanu's Blog Fiery Catholic priest, Rev. Fr. Ejike Mbaka has warned trouble politicians in the country to stay away from anything that concerns the spiritual affairs of his ministry else they will fail politically like a former governor of Anambra State and vice presidential candidate of the PDP, Mr.Peter Obi. Mbaka, who is the Spiritual Director of the Adoration Ministry Enugu Nigeria, AMEN, stated this on Wednesday during the weekly prayer in his prayer ground Umuchigbo-Nike Enugu. He also disclosed to the adoration worshipers that in a new revelation he had from God, some set of social miscreants would soon attack him. Warning such persons, the priest said that his religious inclination was a gift that God bestowed on him to save the captives and preach the message of God to his people. While describing President’s reelection as divine, Mbaka also said the shameful defeat of Senator Ayogu Eze, APC Guber Candidate in Enugu State was also in line with his earlier prophecy which He (Eze) ignored. He said: “The gift I have is not sold in the market, neither do you get it anywhere in the world. So, when I prophesy you are not in a position to criticize the prophecy I give because it is from the oracle of the Holy Spirit. “Those who are still plotting for the downfall of the adoration ministry should remember the present condition of Mr. Peter Obi, politically, and if they don’t desist from that, they will be failing in all their endeavours. “The victory of President Mohammadu Buhari is divine. Could anybody believe that after all the insults that were thrown at him, that at the end of the day Buhari will win the presidential election? So, his victory has spiritual connotation. “Even in Enugu state, didn’t you see what happened? I told Senator Ayogu Eze the Governorship candidate of the APC that he will not win the Governorship election, that Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi will finish his eight years in Office. Didn’t it happen? Out of over 400,000 votes that were cast, was it not 10,000 and something votes that he got? So my prophesy is not from man rather from God. “Those of you who are criticising Buhari that he is not doing well should be mindful of your utterances. I could recall in 2012 when there was oil boom in the country I told the Nigeria President then, Dr. Goodluck Jonathan and his associates to save for the raining days and they did not heed my advice, rather they told me not to interfere in politics; that I should mind my pastoral work. “So, the present hunger and famine in the land was not caused by Buhari but by the Jonathan administration. We should even thank God for giving us a type like Buhari who knows how to spend prudently.” Source: https://www.suanusblog.com/2019/03/if-you-criticise-me-you-will-fail-like.html

Suanu's Blog The governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Obong Nsima Ekere has been predicted as the expected winner of today's governorship election in Akwa Ibom State. This prophecy was given by an elder in The Apostolic Church and a newspaper distributor, Mr. Effiong Etukudoh. He said his prediction was “based on the word of God”. Etukudoh said in an interview with The Nation in Uyo, the Akwa Ibom State capital, the Lord revealed to him as far back as 2017 that Ekere will emerge as the governor of the state in 2019, a time the former Managing Director of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) was not even in contention for the position. He said: “What I want to tell you is that when God says this is what is going to happen, nobody can stop it. “The PDP in Akwa Ibom plays politics of blindness, because they close their eyes to the realities of the day. “I got this revelation in 2017 and I told people here that Nsima Ekere would become governor of Akwa Ibom State on 2019. “By that time, he had not even mentioned that he was going to contest in 2019. “So, when the primary came last year, everybody expected Senator John Udoedehe to win the ticket, because he is somebody that is well known. “But, I told them that the person that would emerge as the APC flag bearer is Nsima Ekere.” Etukudoh said when he predicted in 2018 that former President Olusegun Obasanjo would be retired from politics in 2019, because his candidate will not win, people did not believe him, because he is a commoner. “Nobody believed me, but it has come to pass,” he added. Meanwhile, incumbent Governor Udom Emmanuel, Candidate of the ruling PDP is seeking re-election in Akwa Ibom State. The prophet also predicted victory for APC candidates in Lagos and Sokoto States.
