I like the Yoruba people.
But what I so much hate about them, is their nonchalant nature to matters that concerns safety of lives and the healthy well being of their people.
And don't be surprise to know that the building may be a grandfather's building begging for renovation.[
hr] angry
It pains me to see this.
Buildings don't collapase because of lack of renvation. Renovation is just like rubbing pomade on a person's skin.
Buildings collapse because the structure is bad. Like somebody with bone cancer all over his skeleton. What do you want to renovate there?

It was built wrongly with a weak structure. It needed to be demolished and built correctly with strong materials.

I feel sorry for all Boeing shareholders right now, I see their stock price falling another 30% before everything returns to normal. What I love about this Boeing story is the fact that I can head to facebook and twitter and talk about the aircraft even though i've never flown on a plane before and people will like my post. If something isn't done about this, Airbus may steal market share from Boeing. On the 20th minute on June 21st 1994, Rashidi became the first Nigerian player to score in the worldcup where we defeated Bulgaria 3-0.
It's like your money is plenty. You are sorry for Aeroplane share holders,

I lived in UK for some years and what I noticed is that food is very cheap. In fact I was saving my money and buying the cheapest food in the market and still adding 1kg per month to my weight. Fatness is a curse there.
One can die of accident or whatever. But one can never die of hunger. How many hungry oyibo have you ever seen?

Once people's stomach has been settled, then you can place them in positions of responsibility to maintain facilities and services and uphold laws.

"Dear"is just a compliments. he did nothing wrong.
Don't use it anyhow.
In Yorkshire, UK, they use "Love". Eg: Are you ok, Love? Where're you going Love? Can I help you, Love?
But that is more common with the older generation. It is more likely to be said to you by an elder than by your mate. That is their own accepted greeting style.

We here, don't do "dear, dear,,," commonly. So you will definitely be seen as seeking attention or looking for wife to marry.

The Queen of England, and the prime ministers under her, Gordon Brown, David Cameron etc... None of them are my mates. Their railway system was set up since 1800, by my elders.

Hasn't Mambilla power plant been delayed by FG for decades?

Hasn't Ajaokuta steel mill been delayed by FG for decades?

Haven't second Niger bridge been delayed for decades?

Stop being foolish, Nigerian federal government are known to delay projects for several reasons, shortfall of finances being the major reason.

Lagos state IGR runs in hundreds of billions yearly, Its also higher than the IGR of 27 Nigerian states combined together, WHY DIDNT THE LAGOS STATE GOVERNMENT BUILD THR RAIL NY HERSELFhuh

Pls grow up.
If everybody enters train, what happens to agberos and their "Owo da?" on the road? No more IGR from them Na!. So rail is not really a priority in Lagos.
It is food people are looking for not solution to problems.

My take? The money we are spending to build this is too much.
I don't know the details of the financing. But it seems like one of those Chinese tricks. They use their money to build for you. Then you pay back later. By which time we are talking of slavery for generations unborn.

SunnyskyTG:
While I condemn this Act by the Nigerian Tasks Force, we must not forget as well that we Nigerians finds it very difficult to abide by the Laws of the Land.
An average Nigerian wanna flaunt the Laws. If we keep breaking the the Laws of the Land due to one excuse or the other, nothing can & will change in the Country.
That's why I keep saying that the "Biggest Change" we are yet to witness is not just Governmental.
The individual change is the "Biggest & Fundamental" change Nigeria & Nigerians needs right now.
Nigerians must start taking their Civic Responsibilities as a "Patriotic Citizen".
An average Nigerian is suffering from Intellectual Slavery.
We have been caused to see life in a certain way which is a result of what we behold in the Nigeria of today (Poverty, Tribalism, Religious Intolerance, Suspicion, Hate, Negativity, Division etcetera.).

If you truly want change to reflect in Nigeria, it begins with you.
Decide to be responsible as a Patriotic Nigerian.
When you put on a Patriotic Mindset, you'll see more problems where you'll become the perfect solution.
THE LAST TIME I CHECKED: Opportunity is equivalent to Problem Solving.

Let A Nigerian Youth Become a Permanent Solution to the woes of Nigeria.

Christianity EtcRe: Why Does GOD Allow tragic death? by uuzba(m): 12:12pm On Mar 13, 2019
Toks2008:
After i heard the news of The Ethiopian airline Boeing 737 that crashed today killing over 150 people i felt compelled to drop this piece with a heavy heart and very deep sobriety..

Many people often wonder why GOD allows people to die through several ways when he has the power to avert the cause and atheists have used this issue to discredit the existence of GOD.

The bitter truth is every one of us must die at different times through different means regardless of the age. Whether by human error, gun, natural disasters, wars, plane crash, sickness...WE ALL MUST LEAVE THIS EARTH.

It is quite unfortunate that the earth does not have infinite resources for limitless number of species so by default, people must die for earth's ecological balance to be sustained. Imagine you, your entire family right from the previous 4 generations living in one building without anyone leaving...now you can imagine how choked you all will be.

In like manner, for the earth to maintain its balance, every living species must at one time or the other leave for new ones to have space. So the bitter truth is that people must die and as people leave this earth, new people come in through child birth and this balance must continue regardless of your prayer to live long....IF GOD ANSWERS EVERYBODY'S PRAYER FOR LONG LIFE I GUESS THIS WORLD WILL BE SATURATED.

What GOD cares about is our souls and whilst we cry on earth when anyone dies, to GOD it is home coming cos this earth is just a temporary place for our souls.

Our souls–that invisible and eternal part of us–is the part that connects us with God. It’s what makes us different than all other life forms on the planet: every human has a soul. Your soul is the real you and that is what GOD really cares about and not your earthly body. That’s why Jesus asked, “Is anything worth more than your soul?”(Mark 8:37)

Yes its ok to pray and wish for long life but stop bothering your head about who dies and who lives or when and how you die....it can happen at anytime so start preparing your soul for where you want it to be for eternity.

May the souls of the dead R.I.P..Amen!

FoodRe: Why Do Most Children Hate Onions? by uuzba(m): 12:19am On Mar 12, 2019
Milk is a food that is meant for babies. Due to their partially developed digestive system, milk is the only thing they can digest.
Once a baby becomes a man, his digestive system becomes fully developed. And he is able to digest many more foods and drinks. He no longer needs milk.
For we adults who are still drinking milk (with corn flakes etc), this is caused by a mutation that has affected us all. No one knows exctly when it started affecting human beings. But early men, jews,Greeks, Romans,.... Men did not drink milk. It is unnatural to the adult digestive system.
-
Probably something about digestive system, makes onions unpalatable to children.

Happily married with kids, 2 years ago?
Why does everyone think that having kids in marriage means success?
Married only 2 years and you are summersaulting here?
All the bad things that happen in marriage happen within the first 5 years. Pass the 5 years first, before making mouth.
Some couples even do worse. Repressing negative feelings for years and finally divorcing once the kids reach 17-18, leave the house to enter uni.

[/quote]Rivers state is a state with ports. The ports are the access points from western civilization. The Igbo people probably got their first contact with white men from here. And owing to their natural competitive culture, in trying to impress white man, would end up murdering each other. Oil wells also contribute to this behavior.

Warri is also a port town which contacted white men. They picked up pidgen English. They too seem violent in warri as well. Oil well and violence too.

Lagos is a port town. White men contact as well
But no oil well (that time). So no destructive competition by the natives.
