I lived there for 4 years and there was 24/7/365 electricity. In fact the residents don't even know that there's such a thing as "No Nepa".
We can only learn and copy their style here before we start talking of electric cars.
But their electric bill was costly O!!!

i weep for Nigeria honestly, only Friday to Sunday I know how much I spent on petrol to power my generator, while someone filled up his 3yrs ago and is complaining that the fuel is just in the gen doing nothing. It's such a shame

The solution of Nigeria's problem is when we start beating local government chairmen.
That's the only arm of government that deals directly with the people.
Currently we don't disturb them for anything and they just relax and chop money.

In some streets, some people used to connect secret wire to Traffic lights so they can use light at home
And you expect that suddenly charging stations will fly around this same Nigeria that criminal guys have been making serious money by selling petrol and diesel generators?
Better go and block the borders permanently.

There are many Engineers and Scientist in UK. You get your equipment, setup your workshop, carry out your experiments report to the various scientific community, IEEE, ImechE, whatever. Your scientific findings can be used as government policy to build and develop. The y have many standards organisations.
The British have superiority complex. They always like feeling bigger than other nations, that's why use science and tech to develop their nation.

You are asking a very big request.
These things cannot happen fast. These things are all part of culture now. In the olden days, they weren't prevalent because the majority of Nigerians were uneducated and lived in villages, managing their farms and business.
Today, majority are educated, left the villages, live in cities and the infrastructure is not sufficient to support the massive population. Hence people turn to all kinds of stealing and corruption to achieve their goals.
How do you suppose we end that?
Push educated people away from the cities back into villages so that the city can be less congested?
How will the educated people survive in the villages with no light and no drinking water?
Well, my own proposal,
1. everybody learn how to dig well with hand, or shovel
2. learn now to make a mechanical water pump,
3. learn some basic plumbing
4. Carry yourself to a village and use them, then continue to build and fabricate other elements for development
... because it will take forever for government to ever setup infrastructure for anybody.

The world is moving on o. I have not heard anything about electric vehicles in Nigeria.

Have light first na.
I use 8 solar panels at 300W each to charge 4 batteries that run my inverter.
It the battery doesn't get fully charged because not every day has sunshine.
So I have to rely on PHCN again to get full charge.
If I had an electric car, it will suck it's own electricity for charging.
Probably, I would go out somewhere and won't be able to get back home.

See, Nigeria isn't ready for electric cars yet.
Western nations have consistent electricity, which can charge up the car well not all this inverter and battery.
Plus they have distribution of charging stations with 24/7 Electricity spread out round the country.
