StagethemTVee:Read this article and the comments after it. It will give you a good understanding of what is going on here. https://www.quora.com/Why-is-democracy-not-good-for-Africans/answer/Henny-Ritmo? |
owolabi5:Because you used white people on your site, knowing FULLY WELL, that we are all Black Nigerians, I won't patronise your site. Because you are a RACIST!
|
Franking:Have light first na. I use 8 solar panels at 300W each to charge 4 batteries that run my inverter. It the battery doesn't get fully charged because not every day has sunshine. So I have to rely on PHCN again to get full charge. If I had an electric car, it will suck it's own electricity for charging. Probably, I would go out somewhere and won't be able to get back home. See, Nigeria isn't ready for electric cars yet. Western nations have consistent electricity, which can charge up the car well not all this inverter and battery. Plus they have distribution of charging stations with 24/7 Electricity spread out round the country. |
thatigboman:E still far like that? Na Atlantic Ocean dem dey cross? No be just one small river? |
The money was stoleded. The money was returneded. - All na past test. Today 2021, Nigerians are hustling for N5000 government bailout. Na the Abacha loots be that? |
Gabbriell:Them drag all of them come back with their pyjamas. |
Omihanifa: Na E na!When they read this Nairaland and see as all of us are complaining here. How dem no go run go!? ![]() |
Litmus:What did the man go there to do? What is just wrong with people? If your mind is clear, you NEVER advertise your wealth ONLINE to ANYBODY. Is it by force to snap picture of your property and post online? Who forced you? Live your life quietly. If you make money thank God and continue your silent runs. Nobody will disturb you. Just stop attracting attention to yourself online is all I'm saying. We don't know the details that led to the man's death. |
chimaobinelson:Ehen, so what? Are you going to change yourself or all of us into Americans? No. Are you going to change Nigeria from failed state to passed state? No. So what are you complaining about again? Just focus on your own runs and define YOURSELF. Don't let anybody define You. |
beehivedata:Well, the people that didn't have jobs before still don't have jobs. And even more have been added to the number. Gokada was trying to at least make okada riding decent. Now it is ended, what do you think the riders are all doing right now? They carry bike and RIDE AGAIN. |
PatriotExact:Look, just keep tabs on the design the man did..let uss see how it goes after 1 year, 5 years. Keep records and learn from history. We can't keep condeming anything we don't like or understand. Let the man prove to himself and to us after 10 years, that the house was indeed a good idea. |
IMAliyu:It is a great risk.. In Lagos, there are many shop owners who use metal for their shops. What I notice is that it is always hot inside. Also, all those Julius Berger, Hi-tech, Cappa and D'alberto construction companies, they use container office as well. And with all their engineering knowledge, they have to put heavy AC inside. Even the ones painted white. THEY do it because it's a temporary structure that they can easily transport to another building site. What makes your design any better than theirs? Test the waters first before committing your money to risk. The northern part of Nigeria used to use clay/mud soil for local house and the house is cool inside. That means you too must use a sand/silicon based material for your own house to be cool inside. Hence Cement that we widely use. We used to use clay pot to store water in village and the water is cool. Plastic or metal containers make the water hot. Silicon is your best friend. |
doctorherbal366:I know you are a kid because your reply is filled up more with insult than any sense. Well proceed with your stupidity. Idiot.. |
Zooposki:Oga, your container house will be hot O. Think and calculate again. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LvUI3-0QkI0 In Europe and other cold countries, container house is a good idea. They insulate the inner walls with foam and plywood. That keeps the inside warm when the weather is cold outside. In Nigeria, and Africa that is already hot, insulations will keep the inside HOTTER when the weather is already hot outside. You'd need powerful AC inside to cool the house down on a hot day. Whenever you search YouTube for "container home" you will always see America, Europe and other COLD countries. You won't see hot Africa. |
ALCOHOLKILLS:Well, as for now, he has house. And he's living there happily without paying anybody any rent. We are hoping nothing happens to the house. |
delishpot:Shey be, we must always use imported goods so that we can catch up with whitemen. See it now. As we never bothered to manufacture and use our own cars, we don't have a culture of understanding machines and motor parts and workings. Hence no maintenance + foolish driving = useless accident. Still though, Rest in Peace to the dead.. |
Harmlesspill:Do you think there's tribe in heaven? Shey you will die one day and hope to enter heaven. And when you are there you will definitely see people that you know . And when you see people you KNOW were Yoruba on earth, what will you do? You will ANGRILY walk out of heaven.. .... Into hell fire This your useless statement of hatred is the pathway to hell fire. See the above explanation. |
Freestainworld:Shey you use to eat meat? Na e them carry the cow come disturb everybody. |
HeadShot:Ayou sure? In the 80's $2 was N1 . That's when many Nigerians were still living in villages and were content with their nyash and village farm. Today, 2021, $1 is N500. That's when many Nigerians are living in cities, using 100% imported goods, pant, phone and shoe.. Our unwillingness to stay contented with our local goods and produce has caused us to fall into maniacal, ruthlessly poverty. |
gypsey:And foolish Nigerians still travelled there. Now see it! |
ednut1:Tell them, they won't hear. |
Abeg, buy ingredients and cook this thing. It's not hard.. |
obainojazz:The owner of the gambling/betting joint is the one making his money.. He employs one or two persons who work very hard for him and DRAG paupers off the street to dump all their father's wealth into the gamble. Because people like the idea of getting something for nothing. Even heaven, the reward of eternal life is not free. You must take up your cross and follow Jesus daily, that means, fighting against all your human weaknesses and controlling yourself and desires. A very tough battle for life. |
magnetic20:In UK and other cold nations, they pipe gas to every home. The gas supplies both the cooker and the fireplace for heating. It doesn't make sense to be refilling gas cylinder and carrying up and down to heat up your home. They can't be less than 50 million homes in the whole UK, all with gas piping all over.. How come the whole UK hasn't exploded? Europe and America nko? If one gets a new technological item, (Gas, cylinders, piping), one must do well to understand and maintain it. Otherwise, your life will just explode with fire or accident. |
Eagban:What do you mean, "India is no different from Nigeria". Did they not see opportunity there before they traveled in the first place? Now they are back, are you going to employ them or patronise their business? You didn't give them money to travel there and you will not give them money now they are here, so which one concern you with their movement now? |
olatade:If the seller hasn't opened the packet of the new phone, how can he know the IMEI? |
olatade:Track with what? |
Golan007:It's not possible. If he did cocaine, he would have money to bribe for his visa. But this guy didn't do anything. See how lean he is. He has been struggling to make ends meet. Guy has no money for anything. |
webshopNG:You are only saying this because you are in the house..if you are not in the house, it is inevitable. They will turn against you.. So, you better not leave the house. |
We need old people's Nairaland website. Minimum age of entry, 45 years old. This current one is filled with youth and people that can't see tomorrow. They think they won't get old one day. They make fun of old people. |
Miracle2020:ASUU not ASSU A - Academic S - Staff U - Union of U - Universities. |
SadiqBabaSani:They just pasted plastic/metal panels on the body of the building. |
