sonofthunder:So we that learnt how to program "hello world" in c++, we should not do again? Abi what are you saying? You better take my CV O. That stuff was not easy. Somebody be checking whether it's >>cin or <<cout he should write, night and day. |
Shedrack777:As a kid, I lived in very rural part of this Nigeria where my parents worked. Very often we'd hear news of some guy who was arrested for a crime and will tell the court that he prefers to stay in prison. ... because they will give him food in the prison. Instead of suffering no job in freedom. |
GogetterMD:There's 2 kinds of people in Nigeria. Those who work with the Government and those who work against the government. Unfortunately, those who work with the government are insulted and humiliated by THE GOVERNMENT itself. But does that mean they shouldn't work for the government again? My parents worked for the federal government. And exactly what you said, is what happened in their office. They will order for Typewriters and other office and school equipment from the head office of Government. The staff will do their duty to steal the equipment. I'm sorry, but my dad sacked all and sent away all those who engaged in stealing and cheating. Today, he lives in his house collecting his pension with clear conscience. He may not have liked how Buhari and other presidents messed up the country, but he's sha chilling with 100% clear conscience in his house. All his mates or juniours who cheated and stole, are dead or waiting to die. They have nothing to show for the miserable equipment they stole. |
100trillion:After listening to 100's of hours of motivational speech and seminars, the only thing I ever learnt from motivational speakers was that I had to pick up books and read/study to improve at my work place. Reading of book was my original Number ONE problem before and nobody is helping me to read the book! So they didn't help me AT ALL. |
snipesdam:Company secret na! |
bizme:Exactly |
oluwaahmed:mumu's are taking over the airwaves. |
candidbabe:China & India
|
Nigeria only needs to learn how to manufacture equipment. Foreign nations have passed through difficult times as well. But they did it with dignity. This is a Rickshaw, used in China/Japan some 100, 200 years ago. They still use it some parts of India today.

Miyachi:And which of the two of them made you rich? ![]() |
Babs67:And so what? We don't have, we don't have! Simple. There's no argument. Mind you, Spotify will not buy data for your phone O. It's still you that will buy it. |
dheaven:Don't mind them. As if Spotify will buy data for their phones. |
SmartPolician:That's it. When we, the educated, are crying that Nigeria is a failed country... what do you expect the Agberos of Ajah to say? We are their leaders na. So they will just practicalise what we are saying. |
stayclearofme:And you are here as well on NL. |
IYANGBALI:Including you... |
stayclearofme:This guy single handedly beat all the youths in Nigeria Nobody can catch him His group is in Ajah, waiting for your nyash. Dress anyhow and go there.
|
ipobarethieves:Ajah is full of mad people. Don't go there and later be complaining. I once reported an Agbero to Police. (first time). Police followed me, shook hand with the Agbero and was laughing with him. Na im, I kukuma carry myself comot Ajah! This guy is still not arrested O.
|
gypsey:That is it na! People be forming nonsense then complain when they are harassed. Me, a guy, am afraid whenever I pass that Ajah, because of the uncontrollable area boys. Then it's one foolish girl that will carry nyash dress to pass there. |
gurunlocker:Oga, it's now our eyes are clearing. Every country fights for independence based on a set of principles. We were dashed independence and we were dancing. Now that everybody is self aware and wants to exercise their rights, we are now clashing. And we now see that we don't have much principles in common. Hence the nation will break down back to separate villages as it was before colonisation. |
Henrydonland:Private school can do that. Public school cannot do that. |
hayoholla: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5NV6Rdv1a3I |
Kayberg:In the movie, Tron, they composed the music. Apart from that, I don't personally know. But they seem to be very popular in Europe. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vlEN8svyHj8 |
zedegit:Jobs difficult to get. Social media and access to it. People see fantastic lifestyles of foreigners in foreign countries and then set high target for themselves which they cannot meet. |
IbrahimSkiba: ![]() To ask question in Nigeria is an offence again. ![]() Who is the babe? Answer first! |
Jimalicoco:No Put both men inside boxing ring, let them box each other, The rest of us can relax and mind our business. Nonsense |
gawu1:So let them all speak their indigenous languages. This website is made by Seun, a Yoruba guy. He has to reprogram everything into Yoruba. Then only Yoruba people can use it. The rest of us will have to go and form our own website and see if we can get any users. There's 250 ethnic groups in Nigeria. So one website for each group. One English website will be divided into 250 ethnic websites. Then this unity we have now, because of English, will be disbanded. Democracy will have to end also because they speak English in Aso Rock. We have to break that up. Each senator will speak his language and Buhari will speak Hausa. Then nobody will understand each other and that will be the end of Nigeria as a Nation. In the Bible, the Tower of Babel came to an end because the construction workers were imbued with different tongues. Enough of all this. People keep on refusing to see the the positive side of the English we speak in this country. Oya, don't speak again. I too will stop speaking. We end all communication. |
P1PrinceKT:If the British did not colonise us, WE WILL NOT BE TOGETHER. There will be NO NIGERIA NO NAIRA CURRENCY, NO CENTRAL BANK, NO PRESIDENT, NO GOVERNOR, NO DEMOCRACY. NO Airport, NO cars, No sea port, NO Schools. No books, No internet, No phone, NO Road. No Machinery, NO Technology. Each of our tribes was not communicating with each other before. We did not have scientist to develop technology for us. Everybody was comfortable in their villages, climbing palm tree. And that's the problem we still have in Nigeria. People mess up the government service, steal money and then.... .... RUN BACK to their VILLAGES to hide. ... And there's NOTHING IN THAT VILLAGE. No single technology, No invention. Not a single factory. Without English, all our cities will collapse and everybody will just go back and farm in their village. |
Buzx:In Purtugese, Spanish German, Swedish, Italian, ... Each of the words of those terms has its own meaning. They didn't translate from English... They formed the words themselves, because their scientist did all their science in their language. Their native languages are technical. Nigerian Native languages are NOT technical. We do not have technical, scientific terminologies because our tribes and kingdoms did not develop UP TO that level. Here is the oldest video I could find on youtube. It goes back up to 1897 --- I did not say, 1997, I said 1897. 124 years ago. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=afyooxsFtiI And they had already made: 1. Camera 2. Film 3. Movie - then used the camera to record their street lives You can see paved roads, NO POTHOLE, Concrete Story buildings, STEEL works, WHEELS for carriages. COAT AND TIE, SEWN Dresses. They were already doing these long BEFORE they Invented the camera to take the pictures. Which one were we doing in this region of Africa? None. We just did not have the technical advance to do things like these. And our languages did not have technical words for things like this either. And till date, our languages still do not have these technical terms because still aren't doing any science. The best bet is just to steal a word from English language then mispronounce it to sound African. But the word is not in any local dictionary because we've not even written the dictionary. |
noble2faith:1. H2SO4 Hydro-Chloro-Sulphate Six Acid? 2. Android? 3. Update? 4. electric motor coil? electric motor amateur electric motor housing 5. Hydraulic Motor Pressure 6. 30 PSI 30 Pounds per square Inch 7. M16 Bolt (Metric 16 millimetre Bolt) M16 Nut (Metric 16 millimetre Nut) |
P1PrinceKT:All the nations you mentioned FORMED themselves just like our local tribes formed themselves. Hence one language binds the whole nation. Nigeria and many african countries are a collection of many smaller nations that were humbly minding their business. We were forced together into a bigger nation. And that is why we use English as a common language to bind us together. So which language should we use as national language in Nigeria now? Talk fast-fast so I can start by reprogramming this very website into the language. We will then see if people can continue using this service. From there we move to all news agencies, and the national assembly. |
blamingthedevil:I tire O. Fine building with clay and sand everywhere. Is it not common sense to do the civil works once and for all? |
extol1:Waste of money. The function of bridge is to convey vehicles above something else. Concrete can last many years without need for paint. So just save money and omit the paint Foreign countries who build Steel or Iron bridges have to paint them regularly to avoid rust. I haven't seen painted concrete bridges in other nations. You can check google or youtube. |
