I am a beautiful black lady with 1ft .63". I weigh 50kg and trust me have got natural curves. A real man will look at me twice. I have always loved my man Tall, dark and handsome with the most important being Tall. Since am not too tall, I have always wanted a man that can compliment my height. The truth is height and looks is the first thing that attracts me to a man. I hate short guys & guys that are just a little taller than I am. No matter how rich or good looking they are, I won't date them
I have been dating this guy for couple of months now and believe me we are in love. When he first asked me out I said to myself I can't date him, because he is just a little taller than me and he is IK Ogbonna type of man(bald), jeez, I have long hair and I always love men with nice hair so my kids can be hairy too. But one thing led to the other, I can't explain how the chemistry came to be and we started dating. He has been a good bf so far I swear, makes me laugh all the time, makes out time even in his busy schedule. He is in my thoughts all the time and I just want to be with him.
The problem now is anytime I see a tall man, be it picture or physically, I always wish my man is like that. I fear that my kids might be short and bald or less hairy too. At times I wonder if the love I have for him is strong enough to write off his physical looks so that when a tall, hairy man asks me out now or even after marriage I will say NO.
We plan getting married next year and he might pop the question sooner than I expect cause we fantasize about everything. Time is not on my side am in my late 30s.

Please should I just keep waiting for a tall guy? What can I do to look past his not been tall and bald especially not been tall. I want a man I will love unconditionally. Please help me.

P. S; I am okay with his looks, pockets and every other thing. My only problem is height and the hair cause of hereditary

The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kwara State, on Wednesday vowed to stop the “one man era” going on in the state.

Chairman of the party in the state, Bashir Bolarinwa, said this in veiled reference to the strongman of Kwara politics and Senate President, Bukola Saraki, while addressing governorship aspirants and party members.

He said: “Kwara State might not have been so blessed in the choice of its chief executives in the past.

“We are determined to change the situation for the better now.

“That is why we are here: to further deepen our democratic process through engagement, participation and feedback from our respected audience.

“What we are doing today is a total departure from what obtains in the oligarchy system we are trying to stamp out.

“We are presenting to you our array of eminent Kwarans who are seeking to lead us through the ballot in 2019,” Bolarinwa said.

The chairman appealed to the governorship aspirants to use the opportunity to lay out their plans and manifestos to the people.

“Since the people are the ultimate in a participatory democracy like ours, we feel it is right for you to speak to them directly,” Bolarinwa said.

He assured the leadership of the party and members of the determination of his executive to produce a governor that would be accessible and loyal to the people.

“We are gradually closing the page of an era that has deliberately held the state back, an era in which the loyalty of public office holders is to one man rather than to the people.

“We are leaving an era in which one man, just one man, must be served.

“The result of such an undemocratic system is lack of infrastructure, depreciation in living standards, lack of respect for human lives and high handedness in the corridor of power.

“Never again will our state be held down by the whims and caprices of one man.

“The old order, which can only nurture mediocre and bring unpatriotic elements to the corridors of power, must give way to genuinely democratic system,” Bolarinwa said.

Aspirants that took part in the parley were Alhaji Hakeem Lawal, Amb. Yahaya Seriki, Alhaji Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq and Malam Ish’aq Modibbo-Kawu, the Director-General of the National Broadcasting Commission.

Others were Alhaji Lukman Mustapha, Alhaji Moshood Mustapha, Alhaji Dele Belgore (SAN), Prof. Shuaib Oba Abdulraheem, Alhaji Abdullahi Yaman, Alhaji Soliu Mustapha, Alhaji Tajudeen Audu and Alhaji Yakub Gobir.

Conservationists have discovered the carcasses of 90 elephants in Botswana over the past two months, sparking fears of a poaching boom in a country that has traditionally been a safe haven for tens of thousands of the gentle giants.

Poachers appeared to be targeting male elephants older than 35, killing them near watering spots and hacking off their tusks, said Mike Chase, a conservation biologist who founded the environmental group Elephants Without Borders. Six white rhinos have also been killed, he said.

The scale of poaching is “by far the largest I have seen or read about in Africa to date,” Chase told HuffPost in a statement. “Each day we are counting dead elephants.”

Elephants Without Borders said it discovered the slain animals as part of an ongoing census of the pachyderms within Botswana that began in mid-July. The country has long been a refuge for more than a third of Africa’s remaining elephants, or about 130,000, thanks to its strict environmental protection that, until recently, gave its conservation forces the authority to shoot suspected poachers on sight.

The slain elephants were “presumably carrying the heaviest tusks in the region of 60-70 pounds or even larger,” said Chase, who spearheaded a two-year Great Elephant Census to count every elephant on the African continent. “A clear order has been put out for tusks of a specific weight, and I suspect such large ivory is in heavy demand, considering that there are few large tuskers left in Africa.”

He said the poachers “appear to be targeting elephant bulls when they come down to drink at seasonal pans.”

Kelly Landen, program manager for Elephants Without Borders, said the group had been flying since July 10 for the elephant survey in partnership with Botswana’s Department of Wildlife and National Parks, which contracts the group to conduct surveys every four years, according to National Geographic.

But the Botswanan government is pushing back against the survey findings as “false and misleading.” A majority of the carcasses documented by Elephants Without Borders “were not poached but rather died from natural causes and retaliatory killings as a result of human and wildlife conflict,” the government said in a statement.

The government also sought to distance the slaughter from its decision to disarm its anti-poaching force earlier this year without explanation. The team previously operated with the authority to shoot poachers on sight, and at least 52 had been killed over the past two decades, according to The Southern Times.

“The Government of Botswana wishes to state that it is unfortunate that some media reports attribute the rise in elephant poaching primarily to the withdrawal of weapons from the Department of Wildlife and National Parks (DWNP) anti-poaching unit,” the government said on its Facebook page. “The fact of the matter is that the withdrawal of such weapons from DWNP, did not in any way affect the effectiveness and operations of the anti-poaching units.”

Chase suggested to the BBC this week that the change encourages poachers to set their sights on Botswana’s wildlife, as neighboring countries have already seen their elephant populations reduced “to the verge of local extinction.”

“People did warn us of an impending poaching problem and we thought we were prepared for it,” Chase told the outlet. “The poachers are now turning their guns to Botswana. We have the world’s largest elephant population and it’s open season for poachers.”
