Who are the men and who are the boys? Why are we using money to separate them instead of political ideas? They are telling you that this position is not about ideas, and it’s definitely not about making Nigeria a better place for you and your children. Campaign funds are different as you have lobbyist and campaign donors that will contribute to the party as a whole to promote its candidate(s). Funny that you already have some Nigerians earning so little drumming up support for the 100 million naira form. Is there any bad thing that Nigerians won’t support? Then you wonder why you live in a society with no basic amenities. |
I wanted to open a similar topic but you beat me to it. I know campaigns in USA cost a lot of money, but not the intent to run. The 100 million price tag is so outrageous, as it shuts out a lot of people from even having any intent to run for office. |
Amos1423:Did you even see the picture of traffic I posted? From way back in the 60s. See how orderly our people were. Can you have that today in Lagos? Or during Tinubu time? So is that progression or retrogression? You might think it orderliness doesn’t matter, but my dear, it does. It is a telltale sign that the city or state has a government. |
CryptoClub2018:I haven’t failed in life in Jesus mighty name, amen! |
kriss2I6:He made Lagos as late as 1999? So there was no Lagos before then? Try again |
Not that the state can even compete internationally as they have no water, good roads, order... However, why do people attribute any good thing in Lagos to a man that left office like 15 years ago? Any good thing that happens in Lagos, they will tell you that Tinubu did it, shoooo Didn’t this guy rule for the same amount of time as Fashola for instance? All this hype by Tinubu supporters, further lends credence to the belief that Tinubu is so corrupt that he made sure to OWN Lagos during and after his Tenure. After Fashola, came Ambode, then Sanwoolu, but none of them matter, cause any road today or investment in Lagos was done by Tinubu that left office way, way back in 2007 and we are in 2022 now, chai! Let’s not even talk about the former leaders that Lagos had and even the British that made Lagos orderly. Check the traffic pic below. They are now selling you Tinubu as the ONLY PERSON that can fix Nigeria. This coming just after you have already bought their former product Buhari, who then was termed the ONLY PERSON, that can fix Nigeria.

Truly terrifying video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0K0YFQ8Ww5A They have been locked down now for 12 days with the government locking their homes from the outside. In the video, you can’t see any car or citizen on the road. You hear the screams of frustrated citizens. When will all this COVID stuff end? |
Anyone that calls me wailer, just answer me this:- Do you have government water? The water you will use to bathe this morning, where will it come from? |
To be fair, not a lot of governors succeeded in providing water to their people, but this thread is focused on Tinubu since his supporters claim he transformed Lagos. How can you claim you developed a place when ordinary water you couldn’t provide for them? From Yaba to Surulere, to Festac to Victoria Island, Lagosians are either buying water in tankers or digging boreholes in their homes. So after how many years of a so called progressive government, you couldn’t provide water, then what really did you develop? |
They will tell you Nigeria is poor, no money, bla bla bla, yet they will take our money to use to buy Maybach?? ONE OF THE MOST EXPENSIVE VEHICLES KNOWN TO MAN! Then be snapping “working” pictures inside. Are you serious? Nigerians will know when they have a good leader when that leader shuns all these luxurious lifestyles. Does even American president use Maybach? If you are really there to serve in a poor country like Nigeria, you would ask for a Toyota Corolla, or equivalent innoson vehicle. They can also make it bullet proof.

Nairaland mods sha! Why is this now in the TRAVEL section? What about this news is travel related? Isn’t this a Crime or concerning Politics to hold someone to account? So tell me why news of a truck on fire being looted is moved to the travel section. Shaking my head. Is it because it happened on a road? |
Somebody’s sweat!! Evil people! They are not content with the tears of the driver after losing his vehicle, so they make sure to add to his tears in the middle of his tragedy by stealing his product. Something that won’t even last them 2 weeks. Good people are few in this world and far, far, fewer in a country called Nigeria. |
I understand why people say society gets the leaders they deserve. Most of those people will go home and complain about having a useless government, which is indeed correct, because if we had an honest, diligent, God fearing government, MOST OF THEM WOULD BE IN JAIL! So they choose to vote those that will support their lawless and corrupt lifestyle. Most people don’t really want Nigeria to get better it would seem. |
How can I effect change? How can those of us that want a better Nigeria effect change? Can I do it alone? Should I have parked my car at the intersection and caused a scene, preaching to everyone some of the most basics of ethics, like stopping at a traffic light? What could I have done? Just ignore and say “This is Nigeria”? I am still so sad from that event. The thought that everyone will just disregard the law at will here but travel to nearby Dubai and be obeying all their laws, even trembling. Why do most of you hate your country so much that you think it doesn’t deserve better? Doesn’t deserve law and order? Even if the police is useless, decency would dictate that only a few people would run that light, but for EVERYONE TO RUN IT except two of us, I mean haba! Haba! Then the way they abuse you for following the law, stopping at the light. The way they abuse you when they almost hit your car because THEY DID NOT STOP FOR THEIR RED LIGHT! What sort of rubbish is this? Or do I turn suicide bomber and take out as many dumb people as I can? Will society change then when news headlines read “Suicide bomber takes out traffic offenders”? God forbid!! God please change our hearts and bring upon great leaders to your people! |
Not even one out of the maybe 50 law breakers was pulled over by police, but go to a residential place and you will see up to 20 police men randomly stopping new range rovers and Benz that have done nothing wrong. God in heaven, please I can’t deal, please! This is not how a decent society operates my King. You are justice and order, but our people choose chaos everyday. |
This morning at about 9am, I was stopped at a traffic light off Awolowo road Ikoyi - Lagos, waiting to turn into Awolow road. It was just me and surprisingly, a danfo that stopped. EVERY OTHER CAR, JUST RAN THE LIGHT! When my light now turned green, the cars on Awolowo road would not stop for their own red light. They all kept speeding like there was no RED light in front of them. Some abusing you while some looking at you like, they don’t understand why you are angry at them for almost killing you by running the red light. So out of about 30-50 cars that I saw at that intersection, only 2 cars obeyed the traffic light law. I almost shed tears, like why are we even like this? Where is the police? So many questions, holding back tears for a people that just love to do the wrong thing. Have we now gotten to a point were the majority of Nigerians are lawless? Where you have to search under a rock to find one person that obeys the law? I am sad honestly, how could all of them be so wicked and lawless? Someone please explain it to me. |
Upworkwriter007:I am fighting the same way I fought against Buhari and against MMM. I live in Nigeria, so I must fight against the people that will make the country worse. |
and they will tell you he created Lagos, abi he created the chaos in Lagos? Just look at how cars were lining up orderly in their lanes. No agbero driving in between lanes to come bash your car. Now in Today’s Lagos, even the educated are agberos, they would not stay in their lane, the doctors the engineers, the teachers, all agberos. How does a society start out so good then becomes sooooo bad?
|
People just turn the streets in front of houses to mini markets, suya joints, food market, pepper, tomatoes... Unless it’s a gated estate, it seems like Nigerians in Lagos just start selling anywhere. Most of the streets in Lagos are an eyesore because of this, not to even mention the bad roads. .... When you pay close attention, you can see the poverty and chaos of Lagos and Nigeria as a whole:- Refuge heap next to a mansion Open and vile gutters everywhere, the nastiest images you’d ever want to see while walking Naked people bathing in broad daylight Idle people just sitting by the road .... Then back to the MARKETS, markets markets markets. How can people just go to almost any area and start selling whatever? What will it cost us to have Order in Nigeria? In Lagos? Or are we really really saying that we are animals, that this is a jungle? That we as blacks can never be organized? You pray to your God, but isn’t God a God of ORDER! Even the universe in its chaos is still ordered, the earth is ordered into day and night, gravity is a constant, etc I challenge any one of us who ever gets to government to promote order! I challenge current government to promote order. You want to go to Dubai because or ORDER and LAW, but back home you just say “This is Nigeria”. What does that even mean. So because this is Nigeria we have resigned to chaos? and you are fine with that? Not me, no! I will never be fine with the chaos and I pray that you reading this will never be fine with it either. |
But you people will still support Tinubu and Atiku ba? Bunch of jokers. You should even be happy that there is a plane that is taking you somewhere and you are not flying with brooms. Why are they even complaining? Isn’t this the natural state of the black man? Voting for the blackest of blacks, blacks hearts, black minds, so why all the fuss over a black or dark room, since you will all still vote for darkness again and again and again. See the likes of Seunmsg ready to sacrifice his children for Tinubu, black souls. If you want to reply me, first message my black assistant below.

“Who is subsidizing who?” He was clueless right from the start. He didn’t even know there was subsidy. Him, Tinubu and others were telling Nigerians that there was no subsidy, bunch of liars. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uAriq3_2zaM |
OneCandleAway:Will they learn? Their hearts are so hardened already? Most of them should be jailed for life! then the people, the masses, are just something else entirely. They never get tired of supporting the wrong people. I will never ever forget how Nigerians fought me over MMM. I could not understand how a large amount of people would dive in headlong into a scam that had already been exposed in Russia or wherever. Just a simple google search would have told them that it’s a scam, but they all marched like zombies into fire. |
jerseyboy:I have seen this video before and I almost cried. Black people cant build anything, no good nations not even good cities. Just like when you condemn bad leaders like Tinubu and Atiku here and beg people to vote for like Harvard grads or something to at least have a chance, they will just abuse and abuse you. It’s so sad! I don’t understand how we reason at times. Even with so much hardship, people are ready to fight and die for a corrupt politician that will bring even more hardship, then they will laugh at you, telling you that your wailing has just begun. Why should you be happy that people are wailing for legitimate reasons? It’s not like people are wailing over fake news or something, then you are happy when you prove them wrong, no! Instead the wailing is for real things, like lack of water and electricity, yet the black man sees nothing wrong with not having water or “light”. I’m so sad for Nigeria as an entity |
OyeofIkoTuN:Maybe the materials used were imported from outta space, that’s why. Even if they can’t afford it, is it a life long payment that we are to expect? Why won’t they open their books or come out to tell us how much is owed and how much has been made so far. |
If they were making about 20 million naira per day, then in a month that would be about 600 million naira. In a year, that would be about 7.2 BILLION NAIRA. How much was then used to construct the road? Isn’t a toll road supposed to be used to avoid traffic? Why would people be forced to pay for a road and then experience one of the most horrendous traffic jams in Lagos? Are Lekki people the only ones in Lagos that should be paying toll? What about Ikeja? Surulere? Yaba? Ikorodu?... In America, they toll highways that provide a shorter distance to your destination. So in Houston Texas for instance, the George Bush highway may be rolled, but they have alternative highways. Please let that sink in... ALTERNATIVE HIGHWAYSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!! So you still have free highways with 3 or more lanes should you decide to bypass a toll. The time is 7:41a.m now and the traffic on the road is already building, yet you want these same people to suffer tolling? These politicians are so corrupt in Nigeria, and when you speak up or protest, you are shouted down or chased away by thugs and zombie police officers. Look at the traffic already, and it only gets worse, much much worse. The most annoying part of this whole thing is having Lagosians that live on the mainland supporting the toll, because it doesn’t affect them, very selfish people. Ask them to support rolling on their street and they will start giving excuses.
|
fkj950ax:You say the police is overwhelmed? Joke of the century. Come to VI, you will see up to 10 police officers STANDING ON THE ROAD, in a residential area, stopping random Benz and Range Rover. Does that sound like an overwhelmed police to you? You Nigerians are always lying to yourselves. It’s soo annoying. See overwhelmed police

This guy has bastardized the position of president. I once told people that even if a tsunami wipes out a huge chunk of Nigeria, Buhari would remain silent, because according to Femi Adesina, it is not his style to talk to his people. Everyday, I keep confirming how unintelligent the majority of Nigerians are. That you will go to the past and bring out a coup plotter to be your president. Just look at the IQ chart below and maybe you might understand why Nigerians thought it would be a good idea to employ a former dictator as a democratic president.
|
obiekunie01:Very deep! Tribes are even willing to suffer by voting bad leadership from their tribes, just to spite others. Almost like the actions of a suicide bomber! This country should definitely be split, but you know how the majority can’t reason clearly, so they will shout that we must defend the British establishment. A nation that is filled with wicked and daft people, soo soo daft, it’s not even funny. |
Sunnymatey:Tell them! Tell them! Nigerians can be so daft ehn, what a people! I mean, seriously, they embody all the negative stereotypes of the black race. How do you reason with someone who is ready to swim in gutter for Buhari? Or trek for Tinubu? Or whatever for Atiku? Damn! What a people!
|
The heart of man is wicked! |
shotovoce:Not ready at all, and it hurts. What fuels a people to always want the worst for their country? I just don’t understand. People are launching rockets, battery cars, etc, but here we can’t even get electricity. It hurts bro! They know that all these thieves like Tinubu and Atiku won’t do shhhh yet they will still be shouting their names, it’s so sad. What a sad group of people. |
Gentlelife50:Hahahaha, bruuuuh! It ain’t easy yo! Today, I got a request and parked next to this girls gate, she then came out and hissed and condescendingly told me to come and park in front of the gate (5 meters away), then eyed me up and down. All this and trip never even start oooo, oh my God in heaven! Like as if I was her enemy in her past life. How am I supposed to now carry that kind person ![]() They say drop your ego, no pride, yen yen yen, but na wa ooo. Remain small rider will ask you to kiss the ring before they enter your car. I just zoomed off, driver score be damned!! Uche should come and drive on bolt for one week, he will understand why Peru don dey Para! After he gets request in chevron traffic on the other side, then turns around after battling traffic and rider cancels, then he will now have to go back to the beginning of the traffic again, chai! |
