WE WERE JUST EIGHT MEMBERS IN WINNERS CHAPEL WHEN I JOINED! Don't Be Afraid to Start Small! - Bishop Thomas Aremu (Vice President, Mission Inspectorate Services), Living Faith Church) BISHOP THOMAS AREMU'S CALL INTO FULL-TIME MINISTRY ....as narrated by him Your ways are not His ways, His ways are higher than your ways. Let me tell you how I got my call into ministry. On a particular day in January 1994, I just discovered that there was something unusual about my personal praise session. ChurchGist. You know it is not a small thing to sing for 2 hours, singing, dancing, jumping, leaping and praising the Lord, yet, I still had the energy to do that. Suddenly, I perceived His presence, I knew His presence had filled the room. And the next thing I was saying was "Lord I know you are here, what are You saying?" And He said "it is time to be under my servant (Bishop David Oyedepo), he will soon make a call, don't say that I have not called you, that is my call for your life." I heard it very clearly, I was too sure of it, it was very short and clear and in the morning when I told my wife, she said "once it is confirmed, you better let us run (with the vision)", because the temptation to ignore the call was there (we were in our own house with four cars as a Chartered Accountant). Two weeks after that, God's servant came to Kaduna for Weekend of Encounter. ChurchGist. And at a point before he rounded off the program, he said "God has spoken to me that there are some people who should join this work", he said "they are professionals, they are doing well in their profession but what is your profession compared to what God will do through you as you receive this call? What is your profession?" And the truth is that I like the Accounting profession, he first finished my profession and he said "therefore, if God has spoken to you that you are to join this work and you are sure of it, let me see your hand." It was like he was making Altar Call for salvation. When I heard the voice of God, I didn't know it was very close - two weeks. It tampered with my programming and planning, I didn't know I was going to be a full-time pastor at that time because I was already a part-time pastor. So, reluctantly, I dragged my hand and I said "na so I dey go?" Don't be afraid to start small, small can become big! God also started small, He started with one man, now there are 7 billion people in the world. I am one of the first eight members of Living Faith Church Worldwide, we were not more than eight when I got here but are we still eight now? Even the Churches in the village are not eight. If you are eight, we close you down. You can start with eight but you're not permitted to remain like that. I pray for you today, you will soon go international! If you are already international, you will go multi-international! I command that you will not remain a local champion in the name of Jesus Christ! The Police Command in Adamawa, on Friday confirmed the arrest of an MTN staff, Lekan Agboola, over complicity in the death of a 37-year-old mother of two. DSP Sulaiman Nguroje, Adamawa State Police Command Public Relations Officer, confirmed the development to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), in Yola. Mr Nguroje said Agboola, who was arrested on a charge of homicide, was being detained at the Command’s Criminal Investigation Department. ”Yes, the suspect is in our custody, the Command is investigating the matter, and he will be charged to court after investigation has been concluded,’” Mr Nguroje said. Giving his side of the story to Newsmen, Mr Agboola, a Communications Engineer with MTN, Nigeria, admitted that he had been in a relationship with the deceased, Andi Lugas, for more than three years. Mr Agboola, who hails from Lagos State, however, said he was married with two children. ”We were in a relationship with late Andi for the past three years and everybody in her family knows me very well. ”On February 24, 2021, at about 9:00 a.m., I called her on phone and asked her to see me because we had not seen for some time. ”When she arrived, we started having fun and she suddenly collapsed. ”When I realised she was not breathing, I then called one of my female friends and told her what happened. ”She advised me to take her to the hospital, where she was confirmed dead,” Mr Agboola narrated. According to the family of late Lugas, however, they suspected foul play as Agboola’s story did not add up. Narrating their ordeal to NAN in Numan town, Numan Local Government Area of the state, sister of the deceased, Bridget Lugas, who spoke on behalf of the family, said she was at home with her late sister on Feb. 24, when the boyfriend called her on phone at past 10:00 am. ”She was preparing food in the house when Lekan called her. ”She told me to continue with the cooking, and that she would be back in a jiffy to finish preparing the food. ”I was shocked when in less than an hour, Lekan came crying that my sister had been rushed to the hospital because she collapsed immediately she entered his house. ”I followed him to the hospital and asked where she was, but I was told by a nurse to see the doctor,” Lugas said. She said the doctor, who did not allow them access to the body, then informed them that their sister was dead. ”That was when I started crying and called other members of the family who came to the hospital. Lugas said she was still in shock because she could not believe her sister, who left home hale and hearty, would suddenly collapse and die just like that. She said more worrisome and suspicious was the fact that less than an hour that their sister left home, she visited her boyfriend, collapsed, was rushed to the hospital and confirmed dead, before the boyfriend came to inform them. ”He came to the house within that short period, less than an hour to inform us, how possible is that? “He had time and thought of calling one of his girlfriends when she collapsed, but he did not call her family immediately, even though he has all our phone numbers. ”He did not even raise an alarm for neighbours to come to his aid when the incident happened, but instead called his girlfriend and waited for her to come and help him take my sister to the hospital. ”All these in less than an hour, it is not possible, we know she was killed, but how and why, it is only Lekan and that lady who can tell us,” Lugas said. According to Lugas, her sister, who everyone testifies to her gentility and humility, does not deserve to die like that. ”I appeal to the police, Adamawa State Government, civil society organisations and well-meaning Nigerians, to ensure justice for Andi, and not let this matter be swept under the carpet. https://dailynigerian.com/police-arrest-mtn-staffer/

Adamu Garba: There is practically no difference between Nnamdi Kanu, Sunday Igboho and Abubakar Shekau except that Shekau started much earlier than the rest....... The level of hypocrisy here is fascinating! Nnamdi Kanu ordered killings & destruction. But he is an agitator & should be left alone. Sunday Igboho ordered killings & destruction. But he is a freedom fighter & should be celebrated. Yet Fulani should be condemned as terrorist! https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=2798181613729894&id=1857605687787496

Abubakar Shekau led faction of the terror group Boko Haram has given a week ultimatum to the Federal Government to secure the release of Pastor Bulus Yakuru who was abducted on Christmas eve in Borno State. The Pastor was abducted in an attack in which about seven people were killed at Pemi village of Borno state on December 24, 2020. Hum Angle reported that Pemi is located approximately 20 kilometres from Chibok, where Boko Haram insurgents had abducted hundreds of schoolgirls. The pastor had previously appeared in two Boko Haram videos days after the abduction in December and early January 2021, where he also pleaded for Nigerian President Muhammadu Buhari’s intervention, Babagana Zulum, Governor of Borno State and church leaders to rescue him. In a new video, Pastor Yakuru identified himself and pleaded with Nigeria’s President, Borno State Governor and the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), the umbrella body of Christians in the country, to intervene and secure his release. While one of the terrorists stood behind him with a knife, the Pastor revealed that he was given a one-week ultimatum by his abductors which will end on Wednesday March 3. Yakuru said; “I’m calling on President Muhammadu Buhari and the Governor of Borno to help me because I have been given a one-week ultimatum today, Feb. 24. “If you want me alive, I beg you in your capacity as President, the governor and our local government chairman to save me from this suffering.“I’m calling on the EYN Church of the Brethren President to intervene and secure my release. Please pray for me. “Today is the last day I will have the opportunity to call on you in your capacity as my parents and relatives in the country. Anyone who has the intention should help and save me. Please release me from this pain.” In Jan. 2020, Boko Haram killed Reverend Lawan Andimi, the district chairman of the Church of the Brethren in Nigeria (EYN) in Michika, Adamawa State. https://melodyinter.com/boko-haram-gives-fg-a-week-deadline-to-secure-release-of-pastor-in-its-captivity/
