Make enough money and you can slap as many women as you wish. In fact people would help you slap the women. Ask Bishop Oyedepo.

Anyway, I don't subscribe to beating a women with the same force and aggression you would a manly enemy because they are physically weak. Even if you want to use that type of force, know when to stop because it is not a fair fight. However, a good slap here and there to a female animal that deserves it is okay by me. The same way I wouldn't want to see an adult beat up a toddler with all their might.
Are you comparing women to toddlers

Romance / Re: After Introduction, I’m Seeing Too Many Red Flags by victons(m): 7:12pm On Jun 24, 2021
mugnmuffin:
Dear Nairalanders,
I have an issue that has been on my mind for weeks now. My fiancé and I have been dating for over three years. I love him and he loves me too. We are physically attracted to each other. We’re both catholic but since I graduated, during my service year I gave my life to Christ, got saved and left the Catholic Church. So I’ve been a Pentecostal Christian since then. He on the other hand is still catholic. I subtly try to nudge him to consider getting saved, i.e acknowledging Christ as lord and savior and becoming born again but he is content with his laidback Christian life.

Earlier this year, he asked to meet my parents and I let him. My parents like him especially because my younger sis is married and they have been waiting for me too. They’re glad I’ve someone. However, after the introduction,I regret it. I’m now certain that he’s not the one. I think about my spiritual life and how lukewarm he is about the things of God, I think about kids and how we’ll raise the, with such differing views about God and I’m discouraged. I feel like I’m settling because he checks all the boxes on the checklist of physical attributes. Another mistake I made is, I didn’t pray about this decision and that worries me because anything that involves him,I just act with pausing to ask God, but I always ask God about other aspects of my life. So it’s like my associating with him is a minus for my spiritual life and that’s a huge cause for concern.

At this point, I want to tell my parents I am not convinced it’s him but I’m afraid of the disappointment this will cause. *sigh* I’ll appreciate your thoughts, comments, criticisms...

So your only problem with him is his spirituality?
I don't think it makes sense.

Dear doctors in the house, I'm a third year medical student in a nigerian university, I got an offer to study medicine in eastern Europe, will it be wise to accept to offer and start over again or should I complete my studies here.
My major reason for accepting the offer is the fact that I'm scared that I wont be able to practice (or it would be very difficult) to practice in the country of my choice, because I heard nigerian certificates arent held with high regards compared to others from European countries
I just want to know if it's possible to practice somewhere else after completing my studies here with a nigerian degree
If with your Nigerian MBBS cert., you can practice in UK and in US, I doubt if there's anywhere you can't practice

Use a VPN problem solved. There are many free VPNs in the appstore and playstore and they will work just fine. Twitter isn't restricting IP addresses, so even blacklisted IPs will work 100%. The ban is usless because of VPN just as the ban on cryptocurrency is usless because of peer to peer. Nigerian government are not smart at all.

Your opinion though.
My opinion is that the militant esn are a big problem to Igboland.
In Imo state we have never experienced this sort of unrest, until the militant esn came into the picture.
Did you also show concern when the military and herdsmen killed us at will?

Politics / Re: Olusegun Osoba: How Fake News From Foreign Media Triggered 1967 Civil War by victons(m): 8:30pm On May 30, 2021
LegendHero:
Many things led to the civil war Chief Osoba, do you want to say you don’t know history or you’re just trying to be politically correct?

Often many people believed the killing of Saraduana and Balewa are what led to the North uprising against the Ibos in the North but this is half truth. The Unitary decree of Aguiyi Ironsi caused as much harm as the coup. Infact, it was what led to the initial killing of Ibos in the North, and gave the fertile ground for the counter-coup.

I will give timelines of events below, if anyone need proof of any of the point I raise I will provide it.

Besides the killings of other tribesleader by the majorly coupist of Jan 1966 which everyone knows, the below are some other side of the story.

Decree of 1966:
--May 1966, Ironsi announced that the regions are dissolved and there will be unification of the Public Service.
-- Note: The Ibos have the highest number of civil service candidates then and they are more itinerant than other group, which implies that decree will favor them.
--That decree was popular in the East and the Northerners received it as a blow on them and an act of marginalization against them because they have low number of civil servant. Remember Saraduana video that was trendy then.
--To crown the fears of the Northerers, General Ironsi announced the unification decree while the constitutional report group he set up under the chairmanship of Chief Rotimi Williams haven't concluded their report yet. So he acted on this own.

Riots due to the Decree:
--May 28,1966, A massive demonstration of about 20,000 people held against Ironsi decree in Kano which was organized to present a petition by the military authorities through the Emir of Kano. Slogans used were "Pure Federalism or We Bust", "We denounce abuse of power", We Separate Clearly". Infact that was when the North preached secession. 7 people were reportedly killed that day

Kano, Kaduna, and mining centers of Jos and Bukuru again protested with violence with placards saying "Let there be seccession". Infact over 92 people were killed in that weekend demonstration. They burnt Southerners quarter, houses and over-turned cars. Ironsi replied to the protest by saying he will declare certain area military areas, replace civil court with military court, and death penalty to anyone causing destruction in the North. He also accused the Arab world of being behind the protesters coz they are friends to Saraduana.

In June 1966, The government declared Dusk to Dawn curfew and these riots and killing still continued with rumors in the North that the Ibos will counter-attack. I don't know if Chief Osoba is referring to this.

--Over 100 emirs and Chiefs in the North gave an ultimatum to the Ironsi government to reject the decree. The resolution was presented by the 65-year old Sultan of Sokoto then who is also the uncle of Saraduana where they demanded Nigeria should stay Federal, and old boundaries should remain as before.

--The progom continues with several Ibos being killed across the North. The North sensed domination of the Ibos because the constitutional study group haven't submitted their report yet but Ironsi still abolished the system. Then the sentiment is that Ironis is running a Ibo regime just like people are talking about Fulani regime now. Gombe, Katsina, Bauchi also joined in the attacks mainly against the Ibos.

Counter Coup:
--July 1966, the mutineers arrested Ironsi and later killed him which set the ball rolling for more violent attacks here and there. Brigadier Ogundipe who is the Chief of Staff to Ironsi made a broadcast saying the military is still in control with but what happened in few days after showed that the mutineers want none of Ironsi regime and are all out for revenge. Cut story short, Gowon took power.

--Aug 1966, Gowon took power as a Northerner, first it is decisive, he is a Christian and he is from the minority so he is seen as a great asset not only in Uniting the North as a common force but also to appear to the South as being relatively acceptable. Then he ordered the release of Awolowo, Enahoro and other political prisoners which was a masterstroke, now you have the buy-in of some Awo symphatizers who are by far the vast majority of the Yorubas and some of the Edo areas.

All these contributed to other riots, killings, thousand Ibos killed in the North, Ibos retaliated in Port Hacourt killing 25 Hausas, plane evacuating Ibos, and eventually the civil war as the ending game.

Ojukwu released Awolowo, Ironso had also already assented to it on July 27th before he was murdered on the 29th.

Keep on agitating. Channel the agitation directly at the SE political and traditional leaders, for they are the ones that will sit on a round table with the FG and negotiate for a referendum.
Seccession doesn't come easy at all, you will be oppressed and brutalized, but with more persistence and selling your agitations well enough to the international community, your chances keep improving.

Mnk was getting it right from the onset, but picking up arms spoils everything, hence you see sensible Igbos distance themselves from him.
Catalina have been on their agitations for years now,.why are they not picking up arms and attacking their brothers on Uniforms.
Why are they not burning down facilities and engaging in senseless Insurgency like animals and barbarians in their own Land.

Agitate, but bringing choas home into our ones peaceful region is a No No No.
Imo state have never been in this position,it all started when that sturborn man picked up arms in the disquise of forming a regional security outfit.

The case of Catalonia is different because the Spanish government is believed to at least be more sensible and sensitive to what we have here.
Also, do you think negotiations can actually get you anything from the Federal government. The same government that didn't honour Aburi Accord? Her "No victim, no vanquished" policy? Or her several agreements with labour unions.
The formation of that region security outfit must have also gone a long way to keep the masquerading herdsmen out of our homes.
Most of the deaths are from security personnels and not ESN.
