@ whatever90, you honestly believe he would want to open a business with workers’ filled for you, abi? When his main agenda is to make you stay puT at home . He will simply tell you that to open a business that befits his beautiful wife, it need substantial amount of capital to arrange it to your taste? C’mon think of our savings for Christ sake, do you want me to run bankrupt, just try and understand, stay at home and train our kid for 2years, after that i would have saved enough to conveniently open your buisness for you .

@ Angeleyz, unless he is a billionaire O!, if not? He would still want you to stay home and care for ‘our’ first child’, so he/she will be a well brought up child.

@ Sistawoman, that’s a typical reaction/ thoughts of an independent wife who will begin to wonder why is this man trying to complicate our lives,

Hello ladies, what if your husband agrees while you were dating that ok, you can keep your job when you guyz eventually marry but after marriage and a baby comes in,then he puts his foot down that you have to quit your job or else, its big trouble , infact he will rake one day and threathen that he might send you to your parents if you are not ready for the motherly responsibilties in a marriage, what will you do? ( and mind you, he does not want a nanny)So what will you do?
Quit your job OR accept your husband's bluff that he might want a separation, then go ahead with your job?

A friend of mine got married to this cute , well to do guy and during paying of the bride price and other necessary things that follows , the guy was bled dry but he still went ahead to conclude the marriage ceremony . But do you know that my friend, cries most times saying that when she and her husband argues, he constantly tells her that her family sold her off to him like a slave, and what a shame, that they could sell their daughter to the highest bidder .
She complains he's hardly loving, maybe sometimes when he strikes a good buisness deal then he can show love small but apart from that, he's now cold hearted , and no more loving like when they were dating. She lives in luxury but she's not happy

I will still repeat myself that everywoman wants to get married or be in a stable man/woman relationship but thats does not mean its the main focus of pointing out her sucess in life. At this time and age most enlightened women are becoming strong in their career/buisness/education and that does not mean that those aspect of their achievements is insignificant. If you, Emad feel its insignificant  well thats your own idea but as for mE, NO MATTER HOW HIGH I HAVE GONE UP THE LADDER, I STILL NEED A SOULMATE,either in the form of marriage / concrete stable relationship. because it stabilizes all i have worked for, especially when you are with the right person.
Look at Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt for example, If angelina is so focused on material achievements, then why did she get married not once? and divorce  not once? Because, she's needs a stabilizing unit inform of marriage/stable relationships to bring out the balance in her achievements. She even went ahead to adopt children, at least you can't say Angelina is in the stone age and pathetic to want children and a man to balance her sucess in life?
  Any woman that thinks like you do, Emad sorry to say- its either she has lost all hope in having someone to love her and treat her like a woman  :oand she's like what the hell! who cares about marraige? Why should it be the yard stick to show how sucessful a woman is?
Well, its not the only thing to measure up for her sucess, other things like career, buisness ,self develpoment and other aspect of life is also part of the package that makes a complete and sensible woman.
Alot of successful women out there, do care about getting married /being in a stable relationship, take it or leave,  that is your own.

@ JazzyJ, Its not in all cases, babe. Some guys will just be tired of being with a particular babe, what can she do nothing, no matter how much loving and understanding impressions , she gives out .
He's tired, simply plain tired of her, she can love and understand till tomrrow, he is gone, So, Jazzy J forget that theory, it worked for you but not for everyone.

the lola babe, she f, cked up, sorry to say, she should have known better than to date a guy way younger than her and this same guy is getting to his peak of his career and most people expect him to settle down . C'mon, it doesn work that way most times and sadly enough, it clearly shows that Peter will not marry her.
She even knows deep down but she's refusing to accept the reality, Its sad, such a beauty, such a sucess in her career and such a wrong decision in her lovelife, some womennnn . I wish her the best in her lovelife, because every woman wants to get married, no matter how some try to hide it.

@ poster, beauty is a criterion in marriage at least the lady you intend to spend the rest of your life with, should look appealng to you facially and otherwise; because yeah as time goes beauty fades no doubt , but must you manage to live with a dracula babe from your youthful age to oldage because you are scared that beautiiful girls , dont make good wives? Patience, my guy and you will get to meet the best of them all.
I have some beautiful girlfriends that are good wives material , two of them are even getting married in 2months time from now to handsome dudes that love them like crazy
I would suggest , you marry the first one, cause she's submissive and she might be willing to learn how to cook. As long as she willing to learn, i see no problem in teaching her on how to cook your meals, Thats my own O!

@ poster , dont be dissolusioned about it. Such type of people are everywhere, simply build on your self esteem, dont be too eager to fit 'in'. Relax and do whatever activities you have to  do in church and also at your home environment. Dont mind the fact that some people might see you as a snob, even when you are not. You cant please everyone or most people.
Just be yourself , be good, be watchful towards predators/ leeches coming up as friends, learn to understand what goes on around you and above all understand your needs and how to sort your needs independently. True sincere friends will come but they are few in number, also sincere guys will approach you intime. Dont limit your friendship around your church environment. I hope this helps , take care.

of course it does. It repeated itself in my own case and i dey thank God everyday for giving me a humble, loving spouse with so much fame and achievements. and his parents are so nice to be with,  So, the poster can be lucky, Beauty they say, is in the eyes of the beholder.

He has to look pompous when girls are throwing themselves at him. But anyway, sha the poster might be lucky to have him fall inlove with her if he sees her. Mimigirl, i feel what you are going through , but your parents should try by all means to make sure you are well trained academically not advising you to marry a richman, who will take over their responsibilites as parents. You might end up not loving the richman. And the richman might end up being your worst nightmare
   Even the richman they want you to marry, would want a graduate for a wife and you are not there yet. Its either you accept your lover's proposal to marry, if you are ready for marriage and work with him,pray for him and yourself to have creative ideas and opportunites to succeed in life or you, go back to school and be a qualified graduate, after that you can think of gospel music, if you still want to sing,  Be wise, and think smart and try and go back to school; if you are not ready to marry the one you love,yet.

Most times , when i read in magazines about male celebrities having children out of wedlock and the proposed woman involved will either say she does not care being a single parent , all na lie!
And most of these women are not poor, they are well to do but its amazing how they could reason in such ways . And after waiting for so long for the rich guy or celebrity to marry them because they have a kid /kids for the guy? They will be shocked and bitter when he marries someonelse.
Women, sometimes i wonder , why? whats the rationale behind it?

why not marry a richman? whats wrong in marrying a rich man? All human beings comes up wiht different problems, its all about comunication and understanding.
