PoliticsRe: I am not dead. I shall live my years. Yar Adua. by vigasimple(m): 8:22pm On Dec 02, 2009
I care less whether or not Yar A'liar live or not live. He has a job to do(elected or selected to by the people of Nigeria). HE IS UNFIT BY VIRTUE OF HIS PHYSICAL AND MENTAL HEALTH, LET HIM PROVIDE MEDICAL EVIDENCE TO THE CONTRARY.

Let us apply some rational thinking and leave emotion out of it for a minute.

Just before YAR A'CLUELESS was 'elected' in April 2007 he fell ill and was rushed to Germany at the outset of the election. Nearly 3 years since becoming President he has travelled to Germany and Saudi Arabia for more than a dozen times on different disguises when we all know that he has serious and life threatheing medical conditions.  A LIAR WILL NEED MORE LIES TO COVER HIS TRACK

Secondly, apart from the wasted period in trying to fix his state of physical health, I beleive that it is also affecting his mental health with his inability to reason properly to the point of knowing what direction the country is going.( a bit like Abacha in his dying days, self denial). The country is paying a sick man twice for his salary and medical costs when he is unbale perorm his job.

Also, the shame on the country called Nigeria, the most populous black country with extensive oil wealth that CANNOT build good hospital to look after his President not to talk of ordinary citizen that cannot afford to fly about seeking medical treatment. If the dounce call Preisdent successfully build a kidney and heart specialist hospital in Nigeria with top expert not only will the country save foreign exchange but unnecessary human capital ( as in death for our countrymen and women) but his name Yar A'do nothing will be immortalised for that alone.

On top of that what has the Man accomplished in nearly 3 years of 7 pointless agenda, and visionless 2020. I have said it repeatedly those words are just soundbite. They even promised 6000Mw of power by Decemeber 31st 2009, today is 2nd Decemeber 2009 less than 30days.

ONCE A LIAR, ALWAYS A LIAR.

Yar A'liar will not resign but will be in wheel chair as the president and propably die in office that is my own prediction because like majority of our 'leaders' he is a greedy man.

it is not about the man, but the office which he has further brought into disrepute with the aid of his cronies and our political class. I only care about this country being run properly, what hapens to his health is his own business because he constantly lie when he and all sane men knows that he needs help, and should either take time ou to fix his health or better still resign.

I have said it many months ago that IT IS ALL LIE, it still remain A LIE. YAR A'LIAR is completely CLUEELESS, and A VERY SICK MAN

Remember, they said 6,000MW by December 2009 and 10,000mw by 2011. ( this was about 3-4 months ago)

I wouldn't waste my time on dishonest people who are very very, and seriously CORRUPT, and INEPT.

It was onced said by one of the world rich man 'anything that is too complicated is fraud'

In my own opinion, Nigeria is a 'big fraud'.

Our problem is not lack of ideas or knowhow, or ability to study and copy good countries but  CORRUPTION and DISHONESTY wholesome by those leading us is our major problem.

Let us simplify it and break it down, Nigeria has 6 geopolitical zone with about 144million people which is about 24million per each geo political zone.

Let every geo political zone build 2 refinieries and power station (private ownership only), and Federal govt build roads, railways, airports, sea termninals to transport goods and people, the country will grow like never been seeing before.

In Nigeria, we somehow still need a 'dictatorial democracy' with paralel result. so a govt comes into office, restict some human rights of thieves and coorupt people while at the same time set out infrastructural building pogrammes that start from month 1, so the people are able to see the dividends of democracy starting immediately like Fashola is doing in Lagos.

It is doable, whether it will be done is another matter because some people benefit from what I called 'CHAOS PLC'

Something will have to give, everyday is for the thief, one day is for the owner, NIGERIAN's day is one day away.

Nationalization is not the answer, good governance and responsible leadership is the answer. Our own government has not succeeded in anything, so govt should stay out of business, all they do is to share resources that ended up in the west.

And ontop of that wen you have a sick lieing President , the followers can only think the qualification to being President is being sick, lieing about it , and fly to foreign hospital every other months, what are you leading, your country or your health? YAR A'LIAR is very CLUELESS.

The word  REVOLUTION is the only thing that comes to my mind apart from MIRACLES from GOD.

The evil people are getting more confident on daily basis (including them growing rapidly in churches and mosques) and unless we have a REVOLUTION, we are simply wasting our time and effort because there are no disincentives for bad behaviour, rather the opposite is the case, crimes pays.

All those bank stuff by Lamido Sanusi and Wazero's Efcc are all DRAMA. Unfortunately the last job of a CBN governor is being a comedian. which is now Lamido's middle name. Fools don't have wisdom, and that is why they are called fools. Lamido sanusi despite his education has no asset call wisdom.
PoliticsRe: Efcc: Gani Appeals Waziri’s Appointment by vigasimple(m): 4:11pm On Aug 31, 2009
Nigeria is a a COMEDY REPUBLIC.

I remember that Obama and Chief justice Roberts made a small mistake on administering oath of office in the USA and in order to ensure that there are no constitutional challenges later on, another oath was properly adminster within days.

Now contrast that to Nigeria, when YAR A'LIAR lied that he was only sending RIBADU to Kuru on a course for 1 year. He did not terminate his position expreesly as required by the constitution nor did reasons given acording to the provision of the constitution.

Waziri appointment was done 'on the hours of dark' sworn in to protect
YAR A'LIAR crones like IBORI etc. so Gani has locus standi to challenge any ilegality of the Federal government as a SAN and a President of a political party who has sworn to uphold the constitution of the Federal Republic.

Unfortunately Nigeria plays politics of Money all the time that is why ordinary people didn't see fit to vote in someone like Gani Fawehinmi. I guess we all like COMEDY REPUBLIC that we are in. grin grin grin

naliakar:
Could be a coincidence considering that there are as many light skinned Yorubas and Hausas etc.
Well might be a solution but one only tangential to the question. Probably it is all due to the fact that most well known Nigerians are of Igbo descent and have left  indelible Igbo marks on political as well as cultural discourses. Look at it this way, the world knows more about Achebe and his world than they do about Soyinka despite the laters's Nobel prize. Talk of Nigerian soccer and the first names that come to mind past and present are Igbo. Not because there are none from elsewhere, but because there is just a dominant and staying mien in anything Igbo. This in spite of Yoruba's or Hausa's numerical stregth here and in the diaspora.
That is the MAIN Nigerian problem right there ( ATTEMPTED DOMINATION OF ONE TRIBE OVER THE OTHER) we have had civil war from that and the whole argument is still going on.

In my own view NO TRIBE OR ETHNIC should attempt to feel superior or try to dominate any other. and in any event all this 'superior' thing is relative and sometimes overblown out of proportions. In some areas, one tribe my be better than the other and vice versa BUT to then think your tribe is better than others in a country like Nigeria is showing the seed of discontent. We have a very brutal civil war already, and we certainly do not need another.

God bless the people of Nigeria.

Apart from attempted tribal dominance, our other major problem before we get to any other problem is, FAILURE OF LEADERSHIP, then closely follow by CORRUPTION,  POWER and other INFRASTRUCTURES.  EDUCATION, and
HEALTH FACILITIES, in that order
PoliticsRe: Watch Cbn Governor Lamido Sanusi Interview On Nigerian Banks (28/08/2009) by vigasimple(m): 8:07pm On Aug 30, 2009
I have not watched the interview BUT the consequences of his action does not portray him as a good governor material of a central bank. His i more like a FIRE BRIGADE on training who put fire in a house to put it off later.

He has inject panic into the banks, and the risk, drama, innuendos, military style, I got the power. The only job of a central bank Governor is for him/her to be idnetified with good news/ confidence projection. Sacking, EFCC etc is the tool of the Actor, it lasst for few days but the consequnences last years.

He may be able to speak grammer more than the Queen of England, and knows banking and risk more than Adam smith. He is nonetheless a fool who has no wisdom. He is only interested in Sanusi lamido and fame but not Nigeria's or the banking/financial business interest.

Once you create PANIC in the market, all your other activities are negated.period

CBN is more to blame for the problem than the bank because their regulatory and examination of the bank's has failed for sometime, so they are guilty as those banks.

Infact I will suggest that they shuold have suspend those CEO's when they found out some months ago that lending practices will endangerthe whole banking industry. CBN was aware of those 'risky lending' many months ago. So, that brought out next the powers of CBN governor who is unelecetd and hardly accountable to anyone except the President. The power should be curtailed , and let independent bodies regulate the banks while CBN sticks with setting interest rates.

Also, by the way the money CBN injects to those banks are that of the country/Taxpayers, and LAMIDO sanusi should stop talking as if the monies belongs to him or CBN in isolation.
BusinessRe: CBN Ready To Sell Five Bailed Banks 100% To Foreign Investors by vigasimple(m): 9:52am On Aug 29, 2009
I have said it before and I will say it again loud and clear, the the job of a CBN governor is NOT to act in a DRAMA.

Whether or not LAMIDO want's it or think it will happen, all he is doing is drama and inadvertantly causing more damage than good.

In international circles, it is (All) Nigerian banks that are in trouble because the regulator did not pick those up (with the 5 banks)

It is a FIRE BRIGADE MENTALITY with this CBN Governor, he is putting fire in the house to put it out later at much greater costs. For all the alledge wrongdoing of Soludo, he is always giving confidence to the market. And the difference between a good and bad market is confidence. ( overconfidence in self regulation is what creates problem for the banks to lend mainly for the purchase of shares).

If all those CEO goes down so will a lot of CBN auditors and regulators.

LAMIDO may be a banking guru superstar but he has NO WISDOM or the political skill of modern day Central banker's governor need to lead. His job is to deal with issues without creating noises in transition

In my own opinion he is just showboating to act as if he has actions. As you can see it is backfiring.

And what is all these nonsense about selling banks to foreign investors or foreign banks (foreign is good mentality- OPERATION REBARNDING NIGERIA), it is like everything he is doing confirms those rumours in vanguard newspaper of March this year, like he has a preconceived ideas.

Did anyone remembr his confirmation in the senate, he was like the usual
'bow and go'. Equally I am not suprised because our senate comprises of majority of touts who should have been bus conductors or drivers at motor parks and garages.

Even if foreign banks or foreign investors buy the banks, they will not only take out 100% of their profits but do whatever it's in their best interest which will not necessary and certainly be in Nigeria's best interest. And also because we have policy reversal by diffrent administation they will never plan long term

The whole episode in my own opinion is FAILURE OF REGULATION AND EXAMINATION BY CBN, AND MOST IMPORTANTLY BY THE GOVERNMENT TO SET DIRECTION FOR THE CRITICAL AREAS BANK SHOULD LEND RATHER THAN PAPER TRADING(STOCKS ETC).

LAMIDO just want to shout his arrival and the power he has as CBN Governor has gone to his head . period.
PoliticsRe: The CBN Planned Road Show by vigasimple(m): 12:11am On Aug 29, 2009
FIRE BRIGADE MENTALITY.  A CBN  governor is suppose to ACT NO DRAMA

He put fire in the house then trying to put it out. He is even more stupid like  drunken sailor.

The role of CBN governor is to regulate the banks, gives confidence and do a smooth operation NOT acting kamikaze.

On tuesday, some debt news on the american debts was to come out at 9.30am. OBAMA was on holiday, he quickly moved to re appoint Ben Bernake as Fed chairman, just sending signals to the market to remain calm.

After the Audit of those banks, and pumping money to them, suspend those CEO pending full investigations.

Even his YAR A'LIAR boss sent RIBADU to a dodgy college when he was going to remove him so that he won't rattle the system. Finanncial sector is even bigger so why not a thorough approach.

So planning roadshow to UK and America t achieve what?. Closing the stable after the horse has bolted.

YAR A'CLUELESS with a LAMENTABLE and DAFT LAMIDO.

A good leader in any organisation as sensitive as the banking sector is treated with care rather than garisson commander mentality. If anybody follows his pronoucement during the sacking of the 5 CEO's, he appears like a military dictator. On top of that EFCC is now debt collector, and all the corrupt politicians have cover to carry on business as usual.

It had just been reported that 29 of the 36 players of Nigerian eaglet team to represent them in the coming aged competition for kids under the age of 17 had been found out to be way to older than they claimed after an investigative MRI scan procedures.

So with only seven players remaining and as I was told, the competition they were the host is just around the corner, Nigeria will have to assembly an overnight team. It goes to show that “when a matured goat is chewing its straw, the young goat is keenly watching the movement of the adult goats mouth to practice later”.

Cheating has become the hallmark of the cesspit called Nigeria, from all spheres of life, so who will blame this guys calling themselves kids to cheat their way into an aged competition?

It’s a well know fact that players of Nigerian under 17 teams are normally people in their early 20s, and those that plays the under 20 teams/Olympic are always those in the mid or late 20s and we all knew that but pretend that we doesn't know that they had been cheating for so long.
That is why Nigerian age group teams are always flying in competitions, because they are playing against team with players far younger than them.

Them when it comes to Super Eagle were anyone can play and where they had matured to their full potentials, they are tired and useless as they are nowhere to be seen flying.
Why? Because by the time they become member of the Super Eagle, most of these players had aged and close to retirement in the reality.
Many Super Eagles players claiming to be in their late 20s now are all close to their 40th birthdays
If Yakubu Aiyegbeni is 24 or Kanu is 29 of age, I must be 150 years old.

PoliticsRe: Atedo Peterside Knocks Out Soludo by vigasimple(m): 12:28pm On Aug 28, 2009
qblaze:
Atedo Peterside, Chairman of Stanbic IBTC Bank Nigeria Plc issued this statement at 10 AM, this morning to international bankers at the on-going CBN Town Hall meeting at Andaz Hotel, 40 Liverpool Street, London EC2M 7QN.

"Good Morning Ladies & Gentlemen,

I stand before you this morning to introduce Mr Sanusi Lamido Sanusi, the Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN).

From the time I became the founding CEO of IBTC in 1989 to date, I have worked closely with five different Governors of the CBN. When IBTC was founded in February 1989, it was a small investment bank with great ideas. We were able to win lucrative advisory mandates and hire some of the most talented Nigerian bankers. By the time I resigned as CEO in September 2007 we had metamorphosed into a Universal bank, merged with Stanbic Bank post-consolidation to become Stanbic IBTC Bank PLC - a subsidiary of Standard Bank of South Africa. I was elected Chairman of Stanbic IBTC Bank on the same day I resigned as CEO in 2007. During the course of my tenor as CEO and more lately as Chairman, I have therefore witnessed the appointment of four CBN Governors and worked closely with five.

Historically, Nigeria has oscillated between appointing economists or banking/finance experts as CBN Governors.

As some of you might be aware, when Governor Lamido Sanusi's predecessor in office - Professor Charles Soludo (an economist) was appointed in 2004, my disagreement with him on policy was so vehement that I chose to go public with it. In a published letter to him dated 12 July 2004, which appeared in The Guardian Newspaper on 21 July 2004, I pointed out that, on banking consolidation, Governor Joseph Sanusi (1999 -2004, Soludo's predecessor) did "too little too late" and that his approach was "frustrating but not dangerous". I then cautioned that in my opinion Governor Charles Soludo's approach/actions translated into ", trying to do far too much and far too soon" and that we might therefore be ", swinging from one extreme to another and that is very dangerous". As we all know, throughout his tenure, Professor Charles Soludo appeared to be pushing Nigerian banks to expand aggressively both domestically and internationally.
A few months after the advent of the current global financial crisis it became evident to all those who were discerning that a handful of Nigerian banks were in trouble. At the very least, they were guilty of bad judgement. Some say that two or three of these banks grew too big too fast and were simply destined to implode. Whatever be the case, it was clear that they had misread the severity of the economic downturn and the collapse of asset and commodity prices (including the Nigerian stock market index and crude oil prices) and had lent large sums of money to people (including some insiders) who did not have a semblance of a business plan. Their loan losses were so significant that they became clearly illiquid and became increasingly reliant on Government "life-support" via continued reliance on CBN's expanded discount window. Weak risk management and lopsided corporate governance practices did not help either.

The Emperor had no clothes on, but CBN under Charles Soludo insisted that he was fully clothed and, indeed, threatened sanctions against any Bank CEO whose staff dared to make reference to this "open secret" that the capital of a handful of Nigerian banks was almost completely eroded. They called this "de-marketing" of the competition and even turned the clock back on greater financial disclosure and transparency.

Perhaps Governor Soludo was seeking a second term for himself before seeking clothes for the naked emperors?

Enter Mr Sanusi Lamido Sanusi a seasoned and knowledgeable economist and professional banker/risk manager with impeccable credentials, including, notably, integrity and a penchant for telling the truth at all times - hence his bias towards full disclosure and transparency.

I make this declaration publicly and without any hesitation because Lamido is a man I have known for over 35 years. We are both economists and professional bankers and our paths have crossed repeatedly over the years. Lamido is intelligent, bold, courageous, independent, straightforward, honest and humble.

I believe Lamido's recent actions have also helped to provide the spark to President Umaru Yar 'Adua's Presidency. Our President must, of course, take the credit for having the foresight to appoint Lamido and for backing him on this important rescue mission because as we all know, DOING NOTHING WAS NO LONGER AN OPTION.

Ladies and gentlemen, I present Mr Sanusi Lamido Sanusi, Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria."
1. Why go to London (and maybe New york later) to explain to ordinary Nigerians(okay to some foreign banks) Lamido Sanusi actions, when a statement , press relase will explain the problem. It is typical Nigerian mentality of travelling with all the estacode and nonsense. Most Central bank governor simply release messages to all the Central banker's governor forum. In any event once the act is done, the market will react. when you are doing the act , you explain, and not wait further before explaining, the market want answers immediatetly.

2. 'Swinging form one extreme to the other' - that is exactly what Lamido is doing. He was barely 3 months into his tenure before all this. Even though CBN is a regulator, it needs to provide soft landing without alllowing panic taking into account the Nigerian people psyche and the international financial markets, they are too different audience. The job of the CBN governor is to provide continuity without anybody noticing. It is not like a politician who will reverse his predecessor before thinking and re reverse himself.

3 The fact that Atedo peterside and Lamido are both Economist and bankers does not make Soludo an economist less able to manage. The only plus is that Lamido is from Risk Management background, and that helps. Expansion is not the problem, it is the lack of diversification in the economy that also affects borrowers.

THE PROBLEM IN THE BANKING SECTOR IS CAPITAL MARKET INVESTMENT THAT WENT SOUR BY OVER EXPOSURE TO A DEVELOPING STOCK MARKET IN NIGERIA, AND VALUES OF STOCK WENT SOUTH VERY QUICKLY BECAUSE OF THE WORLD ECONOMY.

4. Lamido recent action provide spark to YAR A'DULL - what a statement even though it is NOT a revelation on a YAR A'DO NOTHING of a leader

In my own opinion Soludo CBN regulatory oversight responsibility is weak. Too much emphasis on Stock  market, Oil and Gas and the overpriced Real Estate sector - he has not persuade and ensure that banks lend to small and medium businesess to grow the Nigerian Economy.

I think Lamido may have taken the Fire Brigade mentality when Nigerians are already on the edge.

The good thing about bad things is that it will come to an end. SOLUDO HAS COME TO AN END TODAY, ONE DAY LAMIDO WILL COME TO AN END, AND ANOTHER PRAISE SINGER LIKE ATEDO PETERSIDE WILL GO WITH HIM.

How are we sure that it is not :

1. The local chairman himself that plan the 'kidnapping' so that he can then share the ransom/loot with his 'abductor'  or even maybe in collusion with his councillors to cover money 'shared'

2. That it is not an attempt to raise the security profile (as I  personally  think  Benue State Governeor is doing) to get more security vote from the Federal overnment in a run up to the next election.

Then all of a sudden Local government can find N30 million very quickly when they cannot find that such money to do anything in their local government.

Please where can I get that Chinua Achebe's book, it will be interesting to see how his perspectives from before 1983, and post 1983 relates to today and how it can guide us to the future.

GOOD LEADERSHIP is the only solution, a good leader will have vision of how to take his people to a better future using other successful countries as comparism and role model.

For instance, in Rail transport, most countries study France and copy them etc.  so good leaders always want the best for their people and apply best practices. In Nigeria, reverse is the case, 'leadership' is about bleeding their own people to death.

@ SEUN

All those problem you have listed are direct result of LACK OF GOOD LEADERSHIP. With good leadership they will cease to be a problem. If you know how Aircraft travel, you will know that a change of 2 degree in their navigation will result in 1000miles difference in their destination after few hours.

Bros, our problem is legion.
As deb has said, it starts from us, the people. Way forward is
GOOD LEADERSHIP. History has taught us that people in general, want a good leader, someone who will tell them what to do, when to do it and how to do it. They want someone to show them a vision, to lead them in the right (or wrong) direction. Before we start arguing about this, lets look at the example of Singapore and Lee Kuan Yew. Adolf Hitler and the Germans (even though he was the cause of world war 2, he built an industrialised Germany and facilitated the manufacture of cars, planes, industries, etc)
GOOD LEADERSHIP is numero uno and everything else flow from there.
A good leader will

1. Derive his authority and mandate from the people
2. Tackle corruption.
3. Allow good electoral system
4. Develop good institution
5. Will not turn the nation into comedy
6. will build infrastructures and not got to hospital in a foreign country
7. not lie about his health, and would be fit for office physically and mentally in the first place.
8 have a true and achievable vision for his people.
9. encourage diverse opinion and build from bottom up
10. Develop future leaders and leave office when his/her term expires.

I can go on and on BUT that is what GOOD LEADERSHIP does for you, and it has been missing in Nigeria for most part of our 49 years of independence, because we have RULERS not GOOD LEADERS.

I like designers things, like the EFCC designer wars. This WAZERO EFCC war is now against Business people who took loans, maybe not repaid for whatever reasons.

In any good society, it is a civil matter, and the risk departments of banks are responsible for underwriting of loans.

But in Nigeria, anything goes. Now, YAR A'LIAR as advised by Aoondoanka and Ibori shifted the fight from Corrupt politicians to 'corrupt business' people because the later do not have political power and maybe godfather and easy targets.

It is sad to say, that we live in ANIMAL KINGDOM, the COMEDY REPUBLIC. Borrowing and lending is a civil matter unless the state can proof fraud, and usually it is the bank that always call in the cops to investigate, even if it is collusion between bank staffs and customers.

Then to collect money from debtors you need court orders and baillifs. Now the tactics being employed by WAZERO EFCC may not be legal , and due procees and rule of law certainly is not followed but if it is the only tool that Nigeria can use to make those business executhieves to pay up, so be it.

NOW, YAR 'DAFT should now apologise to RIBADU because that was exactly Ribadu's point about chasing corrupt people especially politicians, you do not apply conventional means against them.

The truth is begining to come out. The real reason why RIBADU was removed was to cover corrupt politicians, and to make WAZERO  EFCC to appear to be doing something on the same line of RIBADU( including disregard for Due process and rule of Law) she was asked to chase bank debtor's.

Debtors are no criminals except if they got the loan fraudulently or they are deliberately not paying back.

It is all fire brigade mentality we operate in this country, checks and balances should have been applied before loans were given out, and business do fail especailly if the bank are charging 25% interest rates on funds they got from central banks less than 10% plus excessive and dodgy fees and bank charges. After loans given out, the banks are all on prayers.

In a nutshell , IT IS THIEF STEALING FORM THIEF INCLUDING OUR GOVERNMENT.

There is also the case of discrimination by starting with 5 banks when 14 are yet to be audited, it gave unfair advantage on the debtor's of those other banks to escape the same adverse publicity as the curent customer's of the 5 that are sactioned at present.

There are 3 issues that I see here even though there are more.

1. The figure is hopeless inflated. going by our oil export even if we are able produced our 2million barrels a day @ average $60 a barrell, our gross income will be $43.8 billion dollars. (the amount to have been looted is $110 billion) IMPOSSIBLE

2.We should NONETHELESS accept that there is ruthless LOOTING of Nigeria Trasury from top to bottom. CORRUPTION IN HIGH AND LOW PLACES.

3. (Per Asha 80) and similar people, even the youths and others who find themselves in power will do similar if not worse. So, the bleeding continues.

PoliticsRe: Fashola To Run For Governorship Of 6+ States In Next Election. by vigasimple(m): 8:53pm On Aug 24, 2009
It is difficult pollitically but I don't think it is disallowed constitutionally.

Then Nigeria is NOT like the USA when you can write people's name on the ballot. There is no room for independent candidates under the present constitution.

And PDP will go to court to make sure FASHOLA is disqualified in all those states so that they can get their hands on the prize assets which is LAGOS STATE.

What FASHOLA can do between Now and next years is to invite some serious aspirant in any states concern to SHADOW him and see how he governs and make decisons which made people to applaud him, so is like having disciples and protegees. It is doable and much more feasbile.

The only question will be whether such 'trainees' if they get elected do what they have been trained?
PoliticsRe: Amnesty: What Happens After October 4th? by vigasimple(m): 3:55pm On Aug 24, 2009
WAYOZIRI 'EFCC' will go after the unrepentant militant and those that have not surrender. They will then be 'politely' accussed and wanted for bunkering and oil sabotage crimes or find another crime new or old to which they can bring charges against them. grin grin grin

After 4th October 2009, the battle will resume between MEND and JTF. If you notice that the ones that have 'surrender' for amnesty are 'smallboys' and Boyloaf etc with some AK47, bushmeat guns, and some partly used bullets.

Did you see any major weapons like anti aircraft batteries, and bigtime MEND chief, the Gbomo jomo's, Ateke , farah(dagogo) asari dokubo. anyway we are good at comedy in this country, the next episode of the comedy will begins after 4th October 2009.

What about the Comedian -in - chief who start all this, sadly he is busy in saudi Arabia for his monthy recording of the medical comedy part of his business. YAR A'CLUELESS start a show of charade, then jet out to Saudi Arabia. smart 'leader', is in't he ?
PoliticsRe: Efcc Fight Crime On The Pages Of Newspapers by vigasimple(m): 2:05pm On Aug 24, 2009
WAYOZIRI  cannot fight corrupt polticians like IBORI etc, so she took a soft line and go after people who borrowed money to do business, and that is not a crime, even if you are not servicing it as long as there are good business reasons.

What amount or may be a crime is that if you took the loan with intention of not paying back, or you collude with bank officers to obtain loan without proper due process and documentation including collaterals, then you go straight to jail.

What WAYOZIRI and her boss YAR A'DULL  is doing now is exactly what they are accussing RIBADU of doing, fighting crimnals in an unconventional ways, and rightly so. That is the only way you can fight Nigerian criminals. They have monies to pay the best lawyers and any dodgy judge.

A situation will determine what method(s) you will apply in dealing with it.

The difference between WAYOZIRI EFCC and RIBADU'S EFCC is that RIBADU get jail for criminals, but WAYOZIRI get plea bargainings which is not a deterrent and she has taken her eyes off political corrupt class who appoint her in the first place for their own cover.

Or she could just break up with him. Problem solved.
Temporarily you mean?  grin grin grin until the dust settled, they will then announce recocillation committee, everything is back to normal, then they will announce the Nikai before the election campaign start. or they may find an 'eligible Governor' who belongs to another party. They will reach or sign an MOU for him to marry the daughter, then he will cross party over to the PDP (that is if there are any non PDP Governor's left in the North)before 2011 election, case closed. Lord have mercy
PoliticsRe: Is G.u.o Motors Kidnapped? by vigasimple(m): 10:43pm On Aug 23, 2009
It is sad BUT it is part of REBRANDING NIGERIA. before we hardly have kidnapping, but our government are so good and successful that we have a BRAND, and in order to REBRAND, some people think that it is not a bad idea to start kidnapping.

What are those kidnappers doing, what is their job, how are they fed or access to medical treatment.

Our government spend money yanfu yanfu on non-existing 'projects' and you want kidnappers not to emulate their 'governors and local govt chairmen' who kidnap the peoples monies on a monthly basis?

People may appear stupid but they are not actually daft.

PoliticsRe: Efcc Declares Ibru, Akingbola Wanted by vigasimple(m): 10:16pm On Aug 23, 2009
According to a statement released on Sunday by the anti-graft agency, “the two former bank executives are wanted in connection with fraudulent abuse of credit process, insider trading, capital market manipulation and money laundering running into billions of Naira.”

Those are serious offences if proven, and most other banks in Nigeria will be guilty of these offences as they both act almost in the same way. Time will tell if EFCC has the spine to prosecute these five CEO's as they will spill the beans in self defence and self preservation, Lamido may not be exempt as he was part of the First bank.

The last we heard was that Erastus Akingbola is in  the UK.

Was it not rumoured that cecilia Ibru was arrested why trying to fly Jimoh Ibrahim's private jet to Ghana, or has she succeded in flying commercial Airliner to the USA or Dubai.

There are so many incomptence in Nigeria including the EFCC. They knew that not all these people will surrender, they should have invite all of them together before removing them, and then arresting them for brief chat, take away their passport, and freeze their account's once there is a prima facie case against them.

They will now be chasing shadows as usual.

The poster is dead wrong. Infact reading all the post and replies way back more than 2 years make the whole thing clear.

YAR A'LIAR IS A CURSE IN THE OPEN

A country / or people without dreams will end up with nightmares. Even with YAR A'CLUELESS 7 pointless agenda and Visoinless 2020 we are still likely to end up with nightmares.

Let me explain, even if this man is 'reselected for another 4 yaers' that will mean total of 8 years, he has already spent a quarter of his 2 terms (if God give him life to that period) he hasn't done NADA.

So, I predict that by the time he finish 4 or 8 years, he will be blaming occultist, and possible MEND for his failures.

A student that fails to read his books, prepare for his exams and set out his plans clearly will surely fail.

I am an eternal optimist but there is something about this man that made me to conclude that he his a YAR A'FAILURE even after 8 years.

What sunday will look like , saturday is a good indicator.
