CORRUPTION by 'our leaders' is the most dangerous enemy of Nigeria today.

The only thing that top that is the shamelessness of it by 'our leaders'  As a result it has now spread to the followers especially the youth, and majority of everybody in this country.

Infact, minister of religions has more than their own share of the guilt, so where is the moral of the nation that will guide us?

REVOLUTION is the only thing that we savage Nigeria, sooner than later. It will be Nzeogwu type but this time no one from any tribe or region be excluded. That mistake of deliberately excluding one tribal section must not be made again otherwise it will be seen as a tribal/ethnic cleansing like what happens in the 1966 coup, which led to civil war.

Find 6 very corrupt political leaders in each of the 6 geo political zone, and make them an example: death by firing squad for high office holder thieves and corruption will drop like a baloon from 35,000ft. Nigerians will start to have fear of CONSEQUENCES OF THEIR ACTIONS

Essentially there are two problems our govt is not happy with, one, OBAMA visiting Ghana instead of Nigeria, and secondly, that they have been told in diplomatic languagae what majority of Nigerians are saying that they are crooks and criminals, extremely corrupt that majority of them should be in Prison.

Nigerians should wake up and smell the coffe. Thoughtlessness and shameless government are the most dangerouse set of virtues or vices any govt or people can have.

I noticed some 'team  of defenders of status quo and corruption' saying all sort of things about RIBADU and trying to justify it with some elloquence and persuasion.

Let me also be clear that Nigeria is unlike most countries of the world, CORRUPTION IS A MINISTRY ON HIS OWN, and it has a much bigger life than anything, and what it does is to compromise most people or blackmail and bully,threathen lives of the ones that refuses to be initiated.

I dare say that even if our Lord Jesus Christ come to Nigeria to fight corruption, some of this cyber defender of corruption will ask for his identity for him to prove to them who exactly he his, not because they don't know but because they part-take in the looting or their families and friends are corruption fertilizers. So they don't like their livelihood stopped.

It is like saying to a generator or diesel dealers that you want to build electricity withing 6 months and that they should join in the building efforts.

Some vocal minority of Nigerians are the ones that breed corruption, and RIBADU selective justice that jail criminals is a threat to them. Stop smearing RIBADU's name, and please name anyone living or dead in Nigeria who has come closer to him in pursuing Corruption.

WAZIRI  has ben in ofice now for nearly 2 years , why did she not now pursue those that RIBADU has not pursue rather than making noises of what RIBADU has or has not done.

Rebranding is a joke. if we compare that to a product, you must first have a brand before you can rebrand it. so, creating a good brand first is the most important thing. once you have a good brand, the rest will follow naturally.

Nigerians in the order of things are not the beginning.

If we are going to play football or soccer in the olympics or Fifa world tournarnment, we will have 11 or 22 representing us. Those will be our best players to the world. Now, what that translate to, is that, if we desire Branding and then periodical rebranding, then we must start with

1. Leadership re-orientation, follow by follwership re-orientation

2. Corruption- fighting it in all it's raminification, not just fighting petty stuff

3. Electoral reforms, so that we can geniunely elect our own leaders and representatives, and recall them at anytime, build credible opposition parties, civil society and good independent media ( as the 4th Arm of government, and governance)

4. Build a country based a on fairness, rule of law and independent judiciary.


5. We must operate true federalsim, as that is what is envisaged during our constitution drafting process and independence before the military hijack the project.

6. The government who is going to start Branding must build infrastructures or at least maintain what we have, and make sure an average Nigerians can have 3 meals a day before yarning their mouth to the ordinary people about rebranding with the billions they share in Abuja.

We cannot just change a fact by talking about it and wishing it away. Both  the Federal govt and Professor Akiyuli may have good intention but they certainly start at the wrong place.

As funny as it may sound, we have to welcome the good gesture coming from our brother country Ghana. Because the reality is Naija can’t generate the 10000MW and 5000MW backup of electricity needed to give it 24 hours of uninterrupted power supply. We should be grateful for any small contribution our neighbouring countries are willing to give to us.

I have said it earlier, Ghana cannot help us as they themselves cannot even generate 5,000Mw now, so how can they export?

Yes, we cannot generate 10,000mw now simply because of CORRUPTION and AWFUL LEADERSHIP otherwise we have or we can procure all that is needed.


Secondly, the idea of 10,000Mw is just to fill gaps, what we actually need is in the region of 75,000MW.

Ghana does not have steady power supply and there are Ghanaians today who do not have access to electricity.

Even though Ghana sustained a lie and went on to celebrate 10 years of steady power supply the facts show that such claim was a blatant lie.

A BBC sponsored online program gave a lot of Ghanaians the opportunity to air their views and some of them confirmed that they do not have access to regular electricity.

We have more than enough resources both human and natural to generate all the electricity we need in this country. Having spent time between the African states of Kenya, Somalia, and Ethiopia and having near-complete expertise over their politics as well as Djibouti, I wanna know more about Nigeria.

Naija is in my top 3 prospects for moving to Africa for further education, #1 is Khartoum and #2 is split between Cairo and Lagos. I reject Khartoum somewhat because its anti-Alcohol and I like to get tipsy now and then.

What business are they engaged in? how long has the business run?

Where did money come from, what business do they do to amass such huge wealth, and what about their Tax returns to confirm their earnings?

Oustide this information, the onus is on the 'wealthy State Governor and his father' to prove why they should not be indicted for MONEY LAUNDRY and CORRUPTION ENRICHMENT through public office and/or banking fraud

With the staff of DAAR Group being owed four months salary, on July 16 2009 a wife of a staff member recently sent Dokpesi a text message to his GLO line that angered the “chairman.” The text message, exclusively obtained by Saharareporters read: “ Sir, I mist say a big well done and congratulations for all your achievements with the DAAR group, you have achieved something commendable and for this I thank u. In spite of your work sir, I must state that your idea of staff welfare is poor, my husband, a very hardworking and dedicated member of your staff, has not seen his salary in 4 months, as a result, our family has suffered untold hardship. I must say sir, it beats my imagination how you can comfortably throw a lavish wedding for your son and a birthday party for your wife while the people that rake in the millions for you wallow in misery, but for God’s faithfulness, I shudder to think what would have happened to us, sir. This is a desperate cry from a housewife to u. Please pay your workers—they deserve it. I thank you for taking time to read my mail. I await a change of heart and attitude from you. A Concerned Housewife.”

As expected the text message drew an angry reaction from Dokpesi. He sent a boastful response: “I am Chief Raymond Dokpesi founder and single largest owner of DAAR Communications PLC. I employed your husband with several millions dollars I earned and could have kept to earn me interest. I have used this hard earned money to generate employment for your husband and family. I have been a multi millionaire since I was 27. It is the millions which my children and wife were deprived of that I used to create opportunity for you and your family. Woe and I say again woe unto you and your family. May you never see or experience happy moment for the rest of your life. May your days be cursed for the rest of your life. Daar”.

Mr. Dokpesi did not respond to inquiries sent by Saharareporters to respond to the information in this report.


I hope and pray that Dokpesi did not text this to the wife of his employee who hasn't been paid for 4 months. If he did said those words, all the woman has to say is RETURN TO SENDER IN JESUS NAME.

FG should tackle Power Supply first. There is no way they can eliminate corruption, they can only reduce it at least for now whereas it is still possible to produce uniterrruptible power supply to people. So they should try and give us power supply first.

CORRUPTION will not allow FG to fix uniterrupted electricity as the money for the contract will be embezzled, and the cabals-generators, diesel dealers, phcn bigwig will not allow it.

So, you have to tackle CORRUPTION first then power next.

In a blind's country, one eyed man is usually appointed the king. lamido sanusi is one of the best the North could produces and we must give it to him, he tried, got educated more than his peers (in the North) are know for.

So, if it is the north turn (according to federal character of the constitution) and the North need to produce a candidate, he may not be bad, but comparing him wih guys in the south is like COMPARING APPLES TO ORANGES. Nonetheless, I must agree with Davidylan here that he may not be among the top 10 if done strictly on merit. Being the grandson of Emir of Kano, and a first class Hausa Prince is a door opener even in the North and all over Nigeria. Anyway, going to school does not necessarily make you the best candidate in anything. YAR A'CLUELESS also went to ABU, he is also a lecturer, and a CEO of Kastina state for 8 years and so far he has wasted the first 2 years of his presidency and Nigerian's time and resources, and chances are that we are stuck with him for another 6 years whether we like it or not.
