The lady actually told you that your application was rejected because of your nationality? Aren't there equal opportunity laws in those places? |
Hello Femmy: Could you share some light into the variation between cost of clearing and whether or not those prices are usually fixed? For instance, what would make the cost of clearing a 2011 mercedes higher than a 2011 corolla ? |

davidylan:I don't see how he'd lose in this case. First: Several people hate banks and bankers, the chances are always stacked up against them! Second (Assumed): This is a man with no previous crime history, never been convicted of fraud, conducts his business in a legitimate manner Third: This man's life was turned upside down; He experienced horrible times having to deal with being called fraudulent, was locked up and denied his freedom to movement for several days, lost his job and friends as a result, all for what? because someone in the bank "thinks" he looked fraudulent?. . . .or more disappointing, because he happened to be Nigerian and was not wearing suit? I don't see how JP Morgan could come up with an argument that the fellow had overdrawn his account several times in the past. . .chances are the men and women of the jury have probably overdrawn their accounts at one point in time or the other! I'd say the dude should better jack up the courthouse and shove their egg heads underneath! |
So you define what sort of projects Oil companies are to embark on in an underdeveloped country? How dull are you? Support for people with terminal diseasesNigeria is not an underdeveloped country you ídiot! I wouldn't even bother putting up arguments with you, GAR3TH already did justice to that side of things, if you have any common sense, you should have learnt a thing or two by now. |
First, the report does not indicate why the governor has done this. Second, what right does a governor have to order a company to leave a state? can someone shed some light on this? |
somze:Oh shut your Oil companies should pay taxes and other duties to the government. As part of a corporate social responsibility, they might pursue initiatives targeted at developing individuals. Those initiatives could be provision of scholarships for orphans, support for people with terminal disease. . . .etc etc. Oil companies shouldn't be building bridges or supplying you with electricity, you ídiot, that is the responsibility of your government!!!! That asides, if the structures you mentioned were by the federal government and not LGAs, since when did shell became the federal government?, . . .i think you should be the one doing your brain a favour! |
somze:This is definitely coming out of your árse, cos something stinks! Your blind sympathy for GEJ, peharps for tribal reasons has eroded every shroud sense of logical reasoning you might have had!. . . . Lagos was NOT developed by private firms, it's absolutely shameful to expect from private companies, what your government should provide. |
Desola:Exactly! |
O boy!!!!!

I was, and still is an advocate of Islamic Banking when practised in a sane banking system, such as the ones in the West, however, the same cannot be said for what is applicable in Nigeria, where the most brutal mass murders ever known in the history of the nation were largely due to religious conflicts. That said, i should point out that no Muslim reserve the right to make senseless statements such as "Nigerian Chrsitians being openely hostile against Islam". . .wtf!!!!. . .People kill in the name of Allah, not the other way round, thousands of shallow graves lie across the country simply because some Muslims believe killing Christians grants them access to bleeping 72 virgins. . . . . Islam has been a threat to Christianity for decades, not the other way round!!!! |
Jarus:The thread should have read "Yoruba man doing Africa Proud" ![]() my bad, did you say take tribe out of it? |
I would suspect that the group lost its voice due to Bakare's political ambition. |
blah blah blah! Boko Haram was a peaceful sect until the Police fired on them!. . .what a load of crap!!!!! If those guys wanted Justice to the damage done to them by the government, they would have demanded Justice as a ransom that could end the insistent violence. What they wanted, what they stood for, was far more----they want infidels to be eradicated, western education abolished, and the Nigerian state Islamized. Anyone painting any other shyt as attempted by original authors of the articles is merely playing the fool!!!!!! The group was first founded in 2002 in Maiduguri by Ustaz Mohammed Yusuf. In 2004 it moved to Kanamma, Yobe State, where it set up a base called "Afghanistan", used to attack nearby police outposts, killing police officers. I wonder why these cretins that authored this piece of garbage have chosen to neglect these facts. members of Boko Haram are not enemy combatants, where human rights and the rule of law can be dispensed withYes, they are enemy combatants you dumb piece of shyt!. . .If i were a military administrator, any gene traced to them will be made dead in minutes, not minding if that turns the entire Borno into a damn morgue! |
and who's this guy on NL? |
Some of our youths screaming “blue murder” over deployment to this state may have to reconsider their stance and see it as an opportunity that should be grasped rather than behaving like Mummy and Daddy’s Boys and Girls, especially our Youth Corpers they should be thinking along the lines of empowering themselves in the midst of these crazy martydom or calamity. What have become of African Youths of today, in the good old days, 12 year old Massai boys would have to kill a lion with a spear or be killed in the process for him to attain man-hood? It would appear our society has become a si-si society where we moan over the slightest irritation. If you are not living in Maidiguri nor have plans to move there in the near future, if you' ve not had to fight or take to flight as a means of survival in the face of the most gruelsome kind of death, if you've not killed a lion or know anyone who have done so, with bare hands or a knife as the case may be, just as a means of attaining man-hood, . . . . .then you lack every right to make the statements in the texts above. Those young boys and girls who have refused to be called Daddy's Boys or Girls are now lying with the fishes, no they didn't get a state memorial burial, not a chance to voice their concerns, the nation didn't mourn them, we probably are going to forget about them in a few months from now, and hear this------ the President thinks this is perfectly normal as "terrorism is and issue everywhere", even those who killed them in cold blood might get the chance to walk free, they will become friends with the president, peharps even get a few plots of land in Abuja! These situations are the slightest irritation to you, but definitely not to a mourning father or mother, their lives will never remain the same again, they will be consistenly haunted by the pictures of burnt corpses or open skulls, an entire family is ruined, and you, my friend think this is just a slight irritation!!!!! As they say, a corpse is just a corpse until the corpse is your pops, i think you should stop insulting the sensibilities of concerned parents who want the best for their kids, in a country where leaders don't give a shyt who gets killed or by who!!!! |
If it costs £5 to open a thread, i bet you'd be a lot smarter! |
Everfrank:Another bloody simpleton! If you had seen the skull and brain contents of your lovely niece all over tv, then perhaps you'd give considerations to how Boko Haram is nipped! |
crowaddy:Again, you are a bloody mooron! You don't catch someone trying to sneak in a bomb by inspecting tens of thousands of cars all at once!!!!---it's a really stupyd thing to do!!!, what if for some reason the bomber was actually in their midst, how many lives do you suppose could be lost? Suicide bombers have just one purpose, blow themselves up and take as many as they can, it appears that the Nigerian government and security outfit just created the right scenario to do so and foolishly put several thousands of lives at stake, . . . . .thank goodness our Boko Haram brothers developed a faulty tire (or whatever reason they didn't show up) |
This is disgusting to say the least. I am absolutely gutted to hear that any government would be taking such illogical, unreasonable, brash and utterly fooolish decision! How exactly does the Federal government explain to Families and Friends of those who lost their lives and properties in the hands of these animals, that they won't be facing prosecution, but would be "won" over by the government?. . . . This is mad, our leaders have gone really mad! These animals terrorized the country, they killed babies, women and husbands for being infidels, in many other cases, for doing absolutely nothing!!! . .and government thinks it's okay for these animals to roam our streets once again?. . .simply because they are now friends with the Justice in Nigeria is soooo full of shyt!. . .a man can spend the rest of his life behind bars or face the hangman's noose if he had stabbed a friend to death over an argument (not that he really intends to). . .but animals that kill in thousands are now free to be called friends of the president, and would now roam our streets freely, perhaps even get paid a monthly wage at the taxpayers expense. I am so angered, if the right opportunity arises, i'd beat the President black and blue. Are they too daft, too dumb or just plain stupyd to realize that while a man fighting for better living conditions (MEND) can be persuaded to drop his arms and reason, the one fighting a religious fight will never be persuaded? they are called terrorist for a reason!!!! when people decide to leave their families and wealth behind, to blow themselves up in the name of religion, such people are absolutely unstoppable!!!!! |
afam4eva:Whoever gave the order should normally be losing his job! WTF was he thinking? that some bloke would drive by with a print on his face saying "Here I am, "? |
Haha, way to go Seun, you' ve censored Walahi reporters! notin do you o ! ![]() |
A heavy traffic jam along Maraba -Yanyan road caused by soldiers purportedly searching for Boko Haram. The traffic started as early as 4.30am Nigerian time today The traffic jam affected residents of Maraba Yanyan near Abuja traffic jam which paralysed vehicular movement along the road as a result of stop and search exercise going on in Abuja Metropolis . Some of the civil servants said that they left their houses as early as 4.00 AM but to their surprise they are still in traffic as at 11.15 am, the time of filing this report. Some motorists abandoned their vehicles and resorted to walking to work. When our reporters got to kugbo junction soldiers were seen beating up commercial motorbike riders who were making quick money by riding on the opposite side which is one way . It would be recalled that residents of Abuja and its environs has been complaining of harrassment by security operatives who were drafted to these roads to conduct search on the movement of vehicles in and out of Abuja to prevent any further attack by islimist group Boko Haram in the city. Commuters blame the current trend of traffic jam in Abuja on the manual checking of the vehicles by soldiers which they described as an ineffective measure. http://www./news-page/photonews-search-boko-haram-locks-down-abuja |

libby77:This is sad! Just when i think the situation in certain parts of London is worse!. . . What makes it more spine-chilling is the fact that even if the bástard gets caught, he'd only have to serve a lifetime jail sentence, at the expense of tax payers! |
^^ I know a better way to rearrange that Ashewo --- First Ashewo --- Second Ashweo ---- Third Nigerian --- Fourth Ashewo ---- Fifth! Now, this looks more like it! ![]() |
B.S ! Instead of us creating jobs as nigerians, these smart countries are coming to increase the number of low pay jobs, whisk away our money, and better their own economy .nonsense
i knew someone was going to say something like this real quick! Funny people with funny mentality, foreign investment is now being seen as hostile when they themselves lack both the will power and resources to create such opportunities. More Nigerians are starving to death, perhaps their lives will be a lot better if offered, what by your own standards, are low pay jobs. And this is just for your information and many others, low-price merchandise doesn't always equal low pay jobs, hundreds of thousands live and feed comfortable across britain simply because low priced Merchandise such as 99p shops exist. |
You are seriously looking for an advise on whether to risk gruelsome death or not? Your parents should not be advising you, they should be flogging you for even thinking it! Write a letter to NYSC, . . . .lie, do anything. . . .tell them your wife's just been delivered of triplets and you couldn't possibly leave her alone at this time. |

I'm LMAO. When their business in these communities destroys livelihood, pollutes water and farmland, and is a health risk. You're truly a doofus that is alienated from actual ground experience in the Delta. Please lets discuss something else. I'm done with discussing ND related issue with people that rely on google for source of information.
