Be reasonable, there's no reason to boil over unnecessarily, in as much as i won't be the one to castigate a religion as bad, the number of deaths recorded all over the country simply because victims are regarded as infidels would be in blocks of thousands. And no, the attackers in most cases weren't hostile at birth, they were taught to believe in a doctrine that rewards them for slaying "infidels".

So, do i think Islam is a bad religion? Nope!. . .from experience, some of the best people I know are actually Muslims,. . .however, there are "other" Muslims who believe in and preach extremism, that latter sect in most cases, clearly outnumber the former!

This thread could end up being useful when Nigeria falls out with the USA over the AFRICOM issue.Remember that Nigeria is against it and the US is hell bent on establishing  a military base in West africa.Imagine such an issue leading to military threats against Nigeria if it still keeps proving stubborn resisting american"s intention to  establish AFRICOM forces in West Africa.

It's easier and more conceivable for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than Nigeria being at War with the United States.
There's no point imagining an external military agression against Nigeria, the country is more burdened by internal oppressive forces.

aren't we just a buncha confused clat?. . .If the Police and Army are getting bombed by whorever, and they can't even see it coming, then to thy tents o Israel.

This is a good move, but time as shown that quality of intelligence gathered dwarfs the sheer presence of miltary  boots by miles.  It took only a handful of navy seals armed with intelligent information and sound training to take out the world's worst human. . . . and this is after hundreds of thousands have spent years, looking for the same man.

In as much as I applaud this move, and see it as very positive steps in the right direction (in the absence of none), I believe that the country ought to devote more resources to improving quality of intelligence gathering. . . .nothing beats quality information, not even the best military presence.

It wouldn't make much sense sending a million troops into a region, if you don't already have a list of names, strong indiciting proofs, bank account details, recorded phone conversations, etc etc. . . .and usually, if you have all these, it should normally take only a handful of fine military officers to get suspects apprehended, not the entire Nigerian army!
