Could possibly be a PR stunt. Politics is a game of showmanship.
I dont get you, are you saying the dude travelled all they way down to Canada to take pictures in subways and with new trains just for a PR stunt? to what end if i might ask? so that he'd win an election he already won? common, let's be sensible here! |
Oh son! if you had just gone home when your phone was robbed, maybe you wouldn't be lying with the fishes. may the forces be with you! |
oh shyt! this is just wrong! |
This is just wrong! |
lol, so many years ago, i've had to do this for a girl i truly liked. It wasn't such a pleasant experience after i left the pharmacist only to feel a thousand eyes staring . |
If you don't think about someone sexually, how can you even have a meaningful relationship with them? Love is nice. . .blah blah blah, but hey, let's take a second look at this, if you have a partner who doesn't get hard just thinking about you in bikini, then you're dating a fcking homo! |
enyojo:so a gun is evil? how then shall we hunt our deers? ![]() does the fact that people stab others with knives make knives evil as well? ![]() |
enyojo:Alcohol is a thing dammit!!!!. Things are not evil. A gun is a thing, a gun is not evil. It's usually the purpose to which that thing is put, that's what you'd call evil. I drink alcohol. Love a glass of fine wine with a good dinner. Do I drive after I drink?. . . . . nope. Have I ever caused an accident after drinking?. . . . . . nope. Do I drink glass after glass just to get drunk?. . . . . .nope. Do I abuse my body with artificial highs?. . . . nope. Its not alcohol that causes the problems, it's the people who don't respect themselves, respect their bodies and minds that cause the problems. P.S. Alcohol will not take you to hell, people should really stop saying rubbish, yeast fermentation produces alcohol that is used in bread, eating bread {thus consuming alcohol} does not make you a sinner, and since neither the bible nor the koran provide guidance on just how much is too much, we can only assume that God doesn't really care about how much of it you take. As a matter of fact, Red wine is good for your health, containing antioxidants and resveratol. Logically speaking, it makes more sense to encourage individuals to more drink red wine than several other dietary choices. |
enyojo:just my honest opinion |
. REGULAR PHASE:Bullshyt! |
This thread like many others in its category is best described as irresponsible! People take their e-lives too seriously, more astonishing is the fact that they feel the internet is a real world and that their e-friends care so much about their emotions. If you silly sods can't get a real job, why not try a new hobby? |
^^ You re making a big mistake!. . Men don't think of the vajayjay when they sight a chic, yes they'd like to hit the vajayjay but it's almost always the case that the shape, depth, tightness or brightness of the vajayjay is the last thing that comes to the mind. I am more likely to think of her bóobs, her árse, her long legs, her slim waist, supple lips, perfect skin, swag, how she sounds when she talks, how easy it is to flip her 360, . . .etc etc. @OP I think there is another perspective on this that needs exploration. While growing up, boys/men were given a pass by society. We were celebrated when we cheated, while the women were condemned. A man who has multiple women is a gigolo, but a woman with many men was a hoe. The example given by many grown men to the young men coming up, was that to be a real man, you had to have a lots of women. Looking back at it now, it is sad. Cause it forced young men to be dishonest learning to tell lies and that killed their conviction and credibility. |
@violent: Unless you are offering money to accomodate these Is that going to butter anyone's bread? If you are a drain on the resources of Lagos State and prevent Lagos from moving ahead, then you should go back to your home. Simple as that. And if you disagree, then put money up to change this.
If we all refuse to believe in the "fundamental human right" nonsense, what the fúck are we wasting our time at the polls for? I remember a thread, sometime ago, where we all cursed a state governor to high hell for locking up an individual who disrespected him and called him names, everyone, save a few e-diots, on the thread was disgusted by the show of god-man complex displayed by the power drunk governor. why do you think both cases differ? If one government can eject someone it feels is draining its resources and we think this is acceptable,. . . . . why should we lend a collective criticism if another government locks you up for being disrespectful? |
2mch:The constitution does not define what is legal, it instead sets a standard for all to abide by. If we go against these standards when it suits our bidding, then the constitution is simply as worthless as fart! It's funny how people like you could say Police assault is illegal, but when other 'less' Nigerians are denied their freedom of movement, then it becomes acceptable simply because they are constituting a nuisance to 'bigger' Nigerians. What a shame! |
Naw, it was me making the post. Why should Lagos be burdened by the drain? It is an eyesore and drives away legitimate business. Anyway, I'm sure there are laws against begging/loitering/etc. They could also be arrested I suppose. But that would also drain more resources than simply packing them on a bus to their state of origin. This solution is cheaper and more likely to last longer.
If we follow this approach, then we probably don't even need correctional facilities, we might as well just kill people who have done one thing wrong or the other, simply because it's cheaper and more likely to last longer! For crying out loud, these are Nigerians, why should you or me feel we have higher rights than they do? because we are better off financially and are not a burden to the state? If these people don't have money, the only thing they should probably hold on to is their fundamental human rights both as humans and as a citizen of a particular country, if we take these away from them, then we might as well just throw them off a bridge. A society they say is measured by how it treats its weakest, its a shame, that in Nigeria, the weakest are treated worse than dogs! |
Whether the law allows it or not, I'm glad it was done.I'm convinced someone hacked into your account, this couldn't have come from you 2mch:You still don't get it, the law does not make allowance for the state to eject people it deems as nuisance, doing so at its own will is dangerous to everything that democracy stood for. How then can we say we have a government by the people and for the people, if an elected, sworn in government disregards the constitution with impunity? what's the difference between now and the days of Abacha? If we can disregard these people's right to movement, then we can as well disregard their right to life? simply because they exist at the lowest rung of the ladder? fúck that shyt! In the UK, a Police Officer is about to be sentenced to jail, probably for the rest of his life, simply because he pushed a drunk, poor civilian hard on the pavement which eventually led to the death of the civilian. No one should have a higher right than the other, this is no animal farm! |
2mch:The constitution is clear and firm, and is there to serve a purpose, not bent to do our own bidding. It states that these individuals have a protected right to reside anywhere they wish in Nigeria, who't the state governor/legislators to say otherwise? |
How is this a good move? The state has no such powers to deport Nigerians from one state to another, this is a flaggrant abuse of the Nigerian constitution and disregard for due process, if individuals involved should press charges, I am more than 80% sure they'd have a claim on the government, the problem is, these people are too poor both financially and in terms of knowledge to afford a fight against the state. The Chapter IV of the Nigerian constituition provides an allowance for the fundamental human rights, section 41 of it states that: Every citizen of Nigeria is entitled to move freely throughout Nigeria and to reside in any part thereof, and no citizen of Nigeria shall be expelled from Nigeria or refused entry thereby or exit therefrom. Nigerians ought to understand and fight for their own rights, the fact that these people are beggars does not make them any less Nigerian |
Quite a lot of naive people on here! The fact that it was labelled a warship does not necessarily translate to "fight, fight fight, fight" . . . . Why are people so shallow minded? that asides, do people actually realize the political ramifications of rejecting a gift?. . .think you ediots!, think! |
Is the other car an added bonus? |
According to him, if all refineries are made to work as people have been canvassing for, the onus will still be on the owners of these refineries to decide whether to sell at the local price or take it outside the country to make more money.Bullshyt! I hate it when people attempt to blow hot air down my árse like i've never been through the walls of an higher institution. If all refineries were made to work, all the government simply had to do is to reduce subsidies and increase taxes on refined crude exports, up to an extent where it becomes priced competitively in global markets and owners would be forced to see a more lucrative deal in selling at the local price where less taxes and higher subsidies abound. |
Knowledge is Life (Tai Solarin lives on) |
J12:It's in the interest of the party, the populace and democracy at large, if a party, along with its flag bearing members speak with one voice and operate with the same ideology/values. In Britain, the Conservatives adheres to philosophy of conservatism and British unionism and they form their policies to reflect such, the Labor party on the other hand embrace a socialist ideology and believes in free market policies. It makes no sense that PDP stands for nothing! |
The girls are cute I'd say. shyt, I'm in Love--again! |
hunkyjohn:you failed terribly bro! I warned you already, you could go nuts trying to identify who's male and who's not! |
@OP I'm getting frustrated with this whole thingI'm getting fed up with bootlicks who take their e-lives too seriously, if you can't find a real mate in real life, chances are you are either too boring or better off being gay! This is the internet dude, if you want a real girlfriend, get yo arse up from your comp and go get one like real men do. Sitting by your comp hoping to get laid will always end you up being frustrated in the very least----history had it that others have died from heart problems in the process! |
It's funny how people miss humor or pun or just general play on words!. . . It's quite entertaining for wise ones to laugh at the fools folly. here I am thinking everyone would get the humor in this phrase. . . "How you know the guy infected her has a small thing?". . .boy, was i surprised? |
How did you arrive at your 2% for 1 million valuation? The site could be well worth more than the 50 million you valued it at, except of course you are saying NL does not have a promising stream of sustainable future cash flow. the other side of things, which could very well pass for an assumption, is that you are pricing things the Naija market style as in "Oh boy, this thing gree for 1 milla? if not, how much be last price?" But i must commend you, you come across as a savvy investor. A stake in a growth stock such as NL's is a most reassuring investment. |
Kobojunkie:To be honest, I am quite surprised. |
Odunnu:Like i mentioned, i don't have much information about the news, i hate to be at the center of rumors, but i would have hated it more if i had woken up to find out that the news was true indeed. . . All I am saying is just that everyone should be careful, i don't see why i deserve to be nailed to a cross cos of that. |
Abeg carry your fake news away. . .You heard a rumour of a purported murder and the next thing is to start spreading it online ? Have you informed the police, sss or army who might take appropriation action ? People sleep and wake up every now and then,so stop spreading rumour.nothing dey happen.
Inform the Police? do you recommend i send them an email?. . . in what way do you suppose i can best contact security agents in Nigeria from the UK within split seconds if necessary?did you read the part where i mentioned that the information has not been verified to be true? shouldn't individuals be left to decide for themselves what they hold to be the truth of not? People sleep and wake up every now and then----hundreds of them don't, why you ask? they get killed in their sleep!---it's been happening for a very very long time, why should it hurt if people are being told to take caution just this time? Yes, it might have been a little too forward of me to come on a public forum with an unverified news, but a little public heads up {call it public panic} is an acceptable sacrifice in any case such information are found to have the slightest truth in them! |
I'm sure you are one of those planning the attack,mr violent.Police suppose arrest you and that your source for causing public panic.
Okay, lesson learnt!--- if you "think" murder is just about to take place, keep your fúcking mouth shut, public panic is a much more important situation to avoid! |
