debaj10: Everyone has a right to life and by extension, to self-defense or self-preservation. Unfortunately, most of us don't know this. Once legal authorities fail in their PRIMARY duty to protect the lives of their citizens, we reserve the FUNDAMENTAL HUMAN RIGHT to protect ourselves. Spread the word. Agreed !!, |

Kakayaraznits: Good write up @op. But it depends on your place of work and how they value your initiative. I once used my initiative and my personal money to collect info for a presentation and my former boss nagged that who authorized me simply because I asked for refund of my expenses. Do I need an authorization before preparing a monthly presentation which is part of my job task. Some Bosses feel pained when you use your initiative without their authorization. Actually, some people will think you're doing ITK while some would appreciate an extra effort. I've worked in a school with a lot if workload that there's no extra effort to give. |

Culture › Re: Nigerians Are Hungry Because They Are Lazy – Sultan by vislabraye(m): 9:39am On Apr 17, 2017 |
freeze001: It is that small, subsistence agriculture for immediate family that breeds poverty. Is food the only requirement for survival? Will people not progress beyond food for the stomach? Even for d food can one grow everything? Will u not buy others like fish, meat, oil etc? Will they not wear clothes, buy electronics, raise children et al?
The Sultan's reasoning and yours are myopic. Basic agriculture gets one nowhere in the long run, it is the commercial industrialization that makes it viable and rakes in the income. That is where the government must come in and see to it that agriculture becomes viable at the highest possible level. Herdsmen remain backward in their nomadic style and continue causing havoc n mayhem yet we're nowhere near the top exporters of beef n milk. We even import those items! No mind the mumus. When it comes to defending this government, their brains suddenly take a leave. When I used to live in a big compound with my parents, I planted all sort of things. Now I live alone in a tarred compound. How do I start planting? There are people who live in block of flats. How do they start rearing goats or pigs or plant cassava? The Sultan is also admitting that he's also lazy. But guess what, he folds him arm in his palace and money still enters into his account. |

seunmsg: No reasonable person believed Wike and FFK anyway. PDP members are all shouting Ameachi's name just to muddle up the truth behind the money. Jonathan in his usual corrupt ways gave the money to NIA and also approved that it should be kept in a secret apartment under the guise of covert operation. The bulk of the money was used to finance the 2015 election and what EFCC discovered is just the left over.
President Buhari should immediately commission a special panel of inquiry to investigate the discovery thoroughly. The death of Obuah, GEJ's chief security officer from heart attack after the discovery was announced says it all. I have a deep feeling that GEJ and some of his PDP loyalist still have access to the money till it was eventually discovered by EFCC. This is straightforward and there's no need for special inquiry. How can they not know who the owner of the money is ? I know you would blame Gej. But isn't NIA claiming the cash ? |

Romance › Re: Should I Marry This Single Mother? by vislabraye(m): 11:32pm On Apr 12, 2017 |
destinel: Hi guys, I seriously need your opinion on this matter. Please take your time to go through my story:
I came in contact with this single mother of two kids in my church. This lady has every good character you want in a potential wife. Shes so selfless, God-fearing, down to earth, caring, very matured and willing to die for my love.
So we got really close, talking and started dating, it was then I discovered she had had two kids before, I couldn't believe my ears. From her explanation, she really had a very rough past. she was dating a guy she really doesn't love. After having a kid for him, they separated due to some reasons; then 2 years forward the guy came back begging, she agreed and then the second kid came.
Few years going forward, things really got nasty. The guy impregnated two other ladies, making her very depressed and frustrated. So she left him and had since over 7 years now been with the two kids and the guy had since then neglected her her and not even bothered about his kids; mind you, there was never a legal marriage between the two of them.
Now on my own part, I was a virgin when I met her. So she was the one who disvirgined me and we had intimated a couple number of times of course we felt guilty, remorseful and sorry for it cos it was very wrong of us. I really do love her though and she loves me, there were sometimes on three different occasions we had to break up cos I felt I couldn't go ahead with the marriage, but she falls terribly sick in the process and I myself I couldn't handle the feeling cos I always miss her. So we make up again
My pastor doesn't see anything wrong in our getting married but advises we pray really hard about it. Now, I'm quite worried the kind of resistance my family members will put up if I bring that type of lady for marriage cos there this lady ive been dating for years, she happens to be a virgin, so there was nothing intimate. I think I lover her too but not as strong as what I feel for the single mum. She kind of broke up with me saying she needed time for herself and education, so I let her be. It was in the process I met the single mum. But we are still good friends, we talk, we laugh gist and all..... She disvirgined you !! Are you sure you truly love her? I believe it's because of the sweet sex you both had. There's nothing wrong but it takes a lot of courage |

Zabilon007: You have got it spot on!... Except, who in Nigeria has NGN200million to use as capital (except of course, the corrupt politicians). As a Government worker (civil servant), how many years of work will you put in, to make 200million?... Don't even talk about 'loan' Cuz to have collateral for 200million is riches on its own.... Then again.... 100,000 milled bags..... You be Government bdat.... Cuz Where the land go come from......? Let's cut our coat according to our cloth Abeg.... Pesin wey Get 200million no dey Nairaland. ZarZar: You're not getting my point. The popular use of the word manicure is often associated/synonymous with nails done professionally. When you do your nails at home, I have never heard anybody calling that a manicure. People simply say, "Oh, I'm polishing my nails, etc". The only time average people use the word manicure, is when they get it done at a nail bar or any professional setting. If you call your own DIY a manicure, then good for you, but most people don't. Manicure is manicure no matter who's doing it. |

Family › Re: My Wife Double Dated Before We Got Married by vislabraye(m): 6:24pm On Apr 07, 2017 |
ademola2017: Hi Nairalanders,
I am in a state of dilemma as my marriage is shaking.
Before we got married, my wife treated me like a piece of shit and never gave me any regards or attention. Any little quarrel would be blown out of proportion and wouldn't talk to me for days. I did the calling always and each time I ask her why she doesn't call, she would say I should get used to it. There was a day when a baseless quarrel occurred, she accused me falsely and we didn't talk for more than two months. I stayed single and was already moving on until her friend came begging on her behalf. I wondered why she didn't come herself but all the same I accepted her back. She changed like she was doing me favor but I still persisted because I loved her genuinely.
Fast forward, we got married and I was hoping for a good future with her. As usual I was very open to her and discussed every issues with her. At a point, I found out the marriage was one sided. I gave more but got little or nothing from her. I never burden her with house chores or cooking at all. We sat always to talk about her attitude but she would say things are fine while I will be grieving and having sleepless nights. She will wake up in the middle of the night to check my phone to know if i was cheating. I swear I have never cheated on my wife... She knows my password and never hid anything from her. As we went on in the marriage, her behavior became worse and couldn't condone it again. She never saw anything wrong with her attitude and would say her apologizes are expensive. I decided to do a background check on her and found out she double dated all through when we started dating and gave the guy more attention for 2years of our relationship. When things went bad between them, she fell back to me and unknown to me, I accepted her back. She and her ex were still in good communication till the night I confronted her. She would rather confide in her ex than confide in me (Now husband) Now, I feel so hurt, betrayed and used and can’t trust her again.
She has been very apologetic and says she is ready to change. So if had not found out about her double ways, I will still be condoning her insolent ways. I am seriously finding it hard in my heart to forgive her. Even if I do, I can never ever forget because I do not trust her again.
What will you guys advice? You went through all this and still got married to her What's wrong with us men ? I can bet you that she'll never change no matter what. You don't need to treat her softly. Nkw that things have gone this bad, ask her to give you some time to think about your marriage. Don't eat her food or sleep with her for a while. In fact, tell her you don't waht to see her in your house. Observe her for 2 weeks and see if there's any change. |
