iTroll: bro, leave love matter out of this. let's think logically here.
I'm not in support of OSU and all its related bullcrap but tread carefully. this system is a sensitive and powerful tradition. it could ruin your home reputation if you don't take care. and all a man has in this world are his balls, words and reputation. don't risk this for a lady. pack up and go. But these are old custom and practices that should be forgotten |
Culture › Igbos Should Do Away With The Osu Caste System by vivalavida(op): 6:34pm On Jul 13, 2020*. Modified: 3:06pm On Jul 14, 2020 |
I am actually creating this thread from a region of pain. It's sad that despite how religious we claim to be from the south eastern part of Nigeria, we still allow a primitive culture like the osu caste system to still be prevalent. I found out yesterday the love of my life is an osu and my family have rejected her. My uncles and cousins are calling on me to end the whole relationship. No one is willing to follow me should to see her people. This is saddening. We really need to do something about this in igboland
We complain about lack of inclusion in the nigerian polity but commit heinous discrimination agains people we call Osu,Ohu and even ume. People we didnt create. People who couldn't have determined how they will be born. We have made people pay for the sins of their forefathers in alaigbo. This is shocking. Igbo elders need to sit and do something about it. And the youths too who should be shifting away from such obnoxious practices of old are amongst those telling me to respect tradition.

MetaPhysical: You were told many stories in village that were revisited and found to be false.
Like Ojukwu papa was first President of Lagos Stock Exchange. He was not, Mobolaji Bank Anthony was.
Ibo was the first to medical doctor in Nigeria. It is not true, Yoruba was.
Aziliwe created NCNC. He did not, he joined an NCNC created by Macauley.
Sir Ojukwu owned the Rolls Royce that his driver chauffered the visiting Queen in. Untrue, the Rolls Royce belonged to Kano Palace.
So, how is this donation lie any different, irrespective of where it came from.
Great respect to your mother! I cant say anything wrongful about her at all but the message itself is what is under attack.
Its a propaganda and a deceit ....a grand deceit if I may add......that Imo citizens donated fund to the state to build an airport.
I dont even know if I can yet agree that Imo was first state to build an airport independent of Fg funding. I have to explore other states and discover when their airports were built and who built it.
Many people have wonders that are largely unknown because they are not noisy. Oga, choke on your hate filled bile I dont have time to respond to.you and your silliness |

Cherez: Don't mind some morons here arguing this truth Monies my people donated is being disputed? You guys, Gavelslam, Metaphysical, Ritchiee, & Omenka should learn one wise action I learnt years ago thus, "Never ever think something impossible for you is so for others cos impossibilities for someone might be a walkover for another. So, rather than argue an impossibility isn't a walkover for the other person, learn how they do it & excel as well" My mum already told me stories on how this airport came to fruition. So this is not my first time of hearing this. They did it because only the eastern region then didnt have any airport after the war. Present day Abia state university which was formerly imo state university was built under such circumstances too. |

CzarChris: Of course I saw the some, I ain't blind, but why mention Igbo? That really pissed me off. Some Yoruba women, even Hausa women are also wicked. But putting Igbo there leaves a sour taste in the mouth. Nwanne igbo women are too wicked That their wickedness should be topic of their discussion if August meeting will hold this year. The way they maltreat children of other women in their care is bad |

CzarChris: Beautiful, this is just Beautiful!!! But honestly that £10,000 compensation is too small, he should have ask for at the very least £1,000,000. Ungrateful people everywhere, he tried sponsoring your movement to the UK the first time it didn't work now you sponsored yourself to the UK yourself as a result of the invitation he offered you. You spent 4months in his place of abode without contributing a penny for the upkeep of the house. You're no relation of his for starters and you came up with this rape accusation, when all evidence points to the fact that you are lying. These girls of today no get conscience.
But this Doc brain cells are seriously not functioning. You just met a girl on line and you are already sponsoring her to come to the UK, are you that lonely and randy? If you check well you'll see he has relations who he is not rendering any form of help or assistance to, so I don't pity him he deserves what he got.
Infact both of them are bereaved of their senses.
That's all. NEXT!!! End of discussion. Make him bro call am now ask am of £500, akuko go enter the whole matter. |

Politics › Former Sports Minister, Solomon Dalung, Attacks President Buhari's Government by vivalavida(op): 4:01pm On Jun 22, 2020 |
Former Sports Minister, Solomon Dalung, has while lamenting the persistent killings in Nigeria's Northern region described the President Muhammadu Buhari-led government as the worst in the country's history. Dalung, in a trending video on his verified Facebook page, decried how innocent citizens were being killed across the Northern region despite huge security expenditure. He reminded President Buhari that more Nigerians residing in the North were being killed under his watch than at any time other time in history. Solomon Dalong Speaking in Hausa language, Dalung, who served as a minister under Buhari from 2015 to 2019, described the regime as a failure. He criticised the President for allegedly allowing security operatives to plunder the nation's treasury without commensurate results. He said, "Mr President, you have given these people more money, yet we continue to lose more lives. "These people are only enriching themselves with public money Mr President. "Sadly, you have once mentioned that they were disobeying your orders; I mean orders of the Commander-In-Chief, so why are you still tolerating them? "Mr President, it's high time you let go of them because their continued stay is only rubbishing your administration. "I'm not a prophet but I can predict (that) if no action is taken on these traitors within your government, you'll bitterly regret it by 2021. "From Borno to Kwara and from Plateau to Sokoto, human life has become cheaper than that of a chicken. "Take for example, how innocent souls are perishing, and needlessly so, in your own home state of Katsina." https://saharareporters.com/2020/06/22/former-sports-minister-solomon-dalung-attacks-president-buharis-government-over-killings
