Now shut up, dress up and go to the nearest hospital, then look around you would see people of all ages fighting for life, saying "oh God, let me live for jusT a day more," do you know the excruciating parT of iT? A lot of them might actually die.

I didn't gain admission when I left secondary school. You are even lucky your parenTs are capable, mine weren't. I was told to look for a husband and marry, That can't kill Themselves.........,

So while my friends are in The uni, I was working Tirelessly....... BuT I never losT hope and focus. Today my friends are all working, heck my cousins in the Their early 20s have graduated, and I'm still in school. Who cares?

2009 when I losT my job, I felt my end has come, I kept asking myself how I would survive, what would happen to my dreams of going to school? I was already in school. I kept blabbing abouT how God and everyone has forsaken me. I was still killing myself when an accident happened and a colleague I was close to was involved. A very beautiful lady, she didn't die, buT her 2 legs were amputed. It was a very sad incidenT, when I heard iT I quickly cleaned up my tears and sTarted praising God. It could have been me, or anybody but he still gave me a chance, a chance To go afTer my dreams.

You sound young, and probably haven't known how mysTerious life is, and how mean the world ouT there is. If not gaining admission into a uni would make you contemplate suicide, then I laugh in swahili, cos gaining admission is just the beginning of ur challenges. Who even told u going To school is all rosy? Who even told u that you are immune To challenges cos you are a nice person?

My dear, the world ouT there is tough, is mean and you have to get yourself braced up for this roller coaster drive called life. And you can't do that when you are busy thinking about rubbish.

My friend get up joor, go and look for a delicious food and eat, all is well. You have The potenTials, all you need do is find iT within you and push on. Choose any of the options given to you already, the one That is suiTable for you and starT.

Finally, look yourself in the mirror every morning and profess life into your soul.
If I hear phim about suicide again, I will come There and flog your azz.

Let me noT sharp my mouth abeg, honesTly I don't know cos I have never been in thaT siTuation. I try as much as possible To avoid That.

I had a friend whom I have known for close to seven years now. I was a young adulT when I meT him, like 18yrs. He had already done his M.Sc and was working while I was still struggling to work and save up for my higher education.
He never knew my struggles, I didn't even Tell him I was no longer in The cusTody of my parents. He never knew what I was going Through, I felT iT was best noT To tell him cos if I did he would have flown in to help "The damsel in disTress" and thaT would have endeared him to me or make me feel obligaTed To marry him, Tho we weren'T acTually daTing.

When he proposed To me I'm already in my final year in The uni and for one day I didn't ask him for money neiTher did he give. I accepted the engagemenT and sTill sucked it up. I was sTill doing my Thing and enduring The Things I couldn't afford for myself. When the marriage plans didn'T work ouT, I told him point blank. I only felT bad cos he did love me and he was heartbroken, buT I never felT obligaTed to marry him, thank God. Maybe if he had helped me Through school, I would have been sTucked becos I wouldn't want to be seen as callous.

Honestly, when my mind is made up on someThing, it would only take God To come down and undo iT.

Nothing would make me happier Than a guy To wanT to be with me cos he has seen me, he has seen how messed up I am, has seen my strengThs and my weaknesses, has seen That I could be a handful and someTimes can't different my left from my right and he sTill loves me and wanTs To be with me, and vice versa. NoT because I got preggers for him or our families bla bla bla.

Nah, That's noT how I roll, biko.

Honestly, I can't say for oThers but for me its noT righT and I can't do iT.

This just reminds me of when my uncle's wife died, her friends were just pushing their daughTers To my uncle To marry. These are daughTers that called her "aunty o." You can give ultimatums as you want when you are ready to see things from the guys side. If he doesnt have a steady income your ultimatums mean nothing unless you wan suffer.



Probably NOT cos why coerce another person into a life decision if you are close enough and you know he doesnt fit into your timeline hint at it and start pulling back.




A Woman too can propose as long as she knows what it entails and has the basics covered

Most people would feel resentment if they felt they were armtwisted into a life decision.



Several things, Love is not enough to make a marriage work and it depends on their life plans. Economy, Career, and life plans e.g A guy who wants to travel has no business proposing until he has concrete plans of how the bride would be with him. .



It depends on what you mean by propose. To me proposal is sending my parents to meet your parents. And making wedding plans. I can give several rings to different girls but I value my parents so much that I wont make a fool of them meeting a family I only intend to play with their daughter.



Yes . A girl once told me if a lady is over 27 and a guy isnt proposing she can do the proposal and one way is the PREGNANCY way which works with Nigerians




Thats putting unnecessary relevance on the proposal, A guy proposes and he doesn't meet your family, He doesn't make plans for both families to meet and fix a wedding date is a useless proposal. Once a guy decides to meet your family that should supersede any proposal.

If you intend to have a Hollywood wedding then so be it. One of my friends proposed to his girl some weeks ago. And after the paparazi event with the surprise. I ask the guy say when be the wedding he say Dayo you no pity me. I still never know when I go finish paying for the 9k ring my fiancee wanted. So wedding is suspended for now. We spoke some days later and he said he has been dating the girl for too long and he feels obliged to marry her. He has several reservations about the girl but he just wanted to do it to avoid "Isolenu"

Well, the next day, the alarm rang at supposed 5:00 am when iT was acTually 8:00am.

We were never suspected, raTher The baTtery was changed and our suffering conTinued.

But a day of no 5;00 am morning devoTion? We actually got To the peak of sleep and climaxed? ThaT was everyThing......

This is the most scary parT of getting married (for me o): having a man around all the time, its fun I know but what keeps me going when I'm with a man is the mere thoughT that come so so day, I'd go back To my house.

Then The kids? I love them (provided they don't poo on me ), they are adorable, buT I jusT don't like the "screaming parT" so much, and the pampers, and puking on my face, and how your life changes when they sTarT coming. I used to babysit for my friend that was pregnant and sometimes I feel like sedaTing those kids so that every body would resT.

I waTched my mum gave birth to my 7 younger ones buT I never really understood what being a mother/wife means cos I was so young, buT having friends That are mothers/wives have really thought me a lot.

I don't know how I'm gonna do this, honestly I'm noT sure I'm ThaT strong, neiTher am I sure I have The patience, unless mom promises To come live with me to aTleasT take care of The kids' parT while I device a means of dealing wiTh the "always having a man around" part.

So to all The mothers in The house: big ups To you! You all are women of strengTh, you all are institution and we are learning from you. You deserve all The good things that are happening To you, and you sure as hell deserve a "me Time." So pls get iT!
