I don't know if you live in Nigeria but food stuff that was donated by companies as palliatives for the poor was stockpiled in warehouses for politicians to dish out in trickles at parties. That is the same place that you dream will allocate subsidy money to good causes. A country that borrows billions 'purportedly' to build infrastructure that CANNOT generate sufficient returns to make interest repayments.

Every month this govt announces how they have disbursed billions in cash to faceless citizens. Nobody knows who these people are because they actually don't exist. They give money to one MSME and record forty. There are no checks and balances.

You write rather intelligently but when a person ignores harsh realities staring them in the face but chooses to copy and paste solutions used in other climes that are very different from yours then you realise such intelligence does more harm than good.

So if you were the Minister of Finance or the President, you would remove subsidies and watch your people return to firewood in the 21st century?

The removal of subsidy will NEVER lead to a fall in the price of petroleum products for a number of reasons but the first is the importers will form an oligopoly and keep prices high

1. The Commissioner of Police Odumosu didn't need to give advance information of his coming to the Estate security men because it would be stupid to for him state his movement. 2. On arrival at the Estate gate and having PROPERLY identified himself as CP of Lagos State, he ought to have been allowed in immediately.
