All government in this world, will never allow any form of agitations in her land, agitations is treason in every part of the world and any government in power will do everything possible to squash it.

Buhari has been nice and soft on agitators, he didn't even take any action for the past 5 years against any group of people creating insecurities in Nigeria.

I can promise you that if all these agitations were done in the United states, the government in 2 days will round every AGITATORS possible and charge them with treason, you can see those that took over the capital hills, all of them are in prison.

The recent clampdown of AGITATORS have been foreseen, whether you call it a fulani mission or whatever, Government mandate is to bring peace and security by every means possible. No government in this world will permit and tolerate agitations the way Nigerian government have, anyway, they are used to do everything in the last minute all because they want to solve agitation issues in the political way rather with force.
I think you don't really know the meaning of agitation, neither do you understand the topic you are making hasty generalisation about, honestly.

You have too many traitors in leadership. Kanu has a lot of potential to mobilise the youth to effect revolution. I expected him to start a party like Sowore did in South West. Another option is the representation at National Assembly where motion for restructuring can be moved. 2023 would have been his great chance to achieve great revolution in the east. Anyway it's never too late. We move.

I will never restructure Nigeria, you’re naive, ignorant of war – Buhari tells agitators

President Muhammadu Buhari has vowed that his administration will not restructure the country.

Buhari warned that those agitating for separation and canvassing for restructuring are naive and ignorant of war.

The President stated this on Saturday when he spoke as a Special Guest of Honour during the Launch of Kudirat Abiola Sabon Gari, Zaria Peace Foundation which took place at Ahmadu Bello University Hotels, Zaria, Kaduna state.

Buhari said that the nation does not restructuring, adding that most people carrying the subject about do not even understand what they are talking about.

The President was represented at the event by the Executive Secretary, Revenue Mobilization, Allocation and Fiscal Commission, Alhaji Mohammed Bello Shehu.

“And again, those who are discussing restructuring, my question is that what are you going to restructure?” Buhari asked.

“If you ask many Nigerians what are they going to restructure, you will find out that they have nothing to talk about. Some of them have not even studied the 1999 constitution. The 1999 constitution is almost 70 to 80 percent 1979 constitution.

“The other issue is that those who are calling for restructuring and confrence on what they call ethnic nationality, If you go to Southern Kaduna, Taraba, who is to represent them? We have different combination of ethnicity in many states. Even Kano and Kaduna Igbo have properties. The same goes with Yorubas.

“There are Fulani in Port Harcourt. So those calling for whether separation or restructuring, some of them I will say they are very naive or even mischievously dangerous. Those agitating for restructuring are ignorant of war and its consequences. Because Nigeria is a dominant force in west Africa.

“There is no government in the world that will cede their authority to the people that are not elected.

“You are telling us to resolve a system and call for an obscure conference to come and discuss how we can move forward as a nation, that can never be done and no country will agree to that.

“So those who are doing that should go back and meet their representatives in the House of Assembly and ask for whatever amendment of constitution. Due process should be followed.”

Shukushaka:
Buhari regime blames Murtala Mohammed for acute insecurity
Lai Mohammed said the Buhari administration is suffering the consequences of the botched compulsory free education programme by the mid-70s junta.

AHMED OLUWASANJO • APRIL 28, 2021

The Buhari administration has blamed increasing insecurity in the country on the inability of late General Murtala Muhammed’s regime to carry on with its policy on compulsory free education for citizens born after 1970.

Since Mr Buhari assumed office in 2015, insecurity has worsened through the corners of the country, eliciting widespread apathy and confusion. Terrorists, bandits, killer pastoralists, separatists and armed robbers have been on a rampage across the country, killing, maiming and extorting the masses.

On Tuesday, a senator of Mr Buhari’s ruling APC Smart Adeyemi said the country’s national security architecture had collapsed and called on the president to immediately seek help from other countries to prevent a civil war.

Murtala Mohammed, who overthrew Yakubu Gowon’s regime, was Nigeria’s military ruler from July 1975 until when he was assassinated on February 13, 1976.

Featuring on a Channels TV programme on Monday, information minister Lai Mohammed says the nation’s current woes could be traced to the failings of the past military junta.

“The fact is that in 1973, we were informed by the lead discussant and that the government of the day they had a retreat and said there must be a national pledge that what is that thing that we must do to ensure that we did not go through another civil war”, the minister said.

“The government of that day came out with a decision that what will prevent another civil war is to ensure that anybody born after January 1970 has free and compulsory primary education.”

Mr Mohammed added that the incumbent government is suffering the consequences of the failed compulsory free education for citizens.

He said Mr Buhari’s government is confronted with issues associated with having over 13.2 million out-of-school children, who could be easily recruited for terrorism and banditry.

“Regrettably that administration was overthrown two years later and all the lofty ideas and all the preparations that were needed to ensure that every child of school age acquired free and compulsory education were jettisoned.

“And we are paying the price today because if you have 13.2 million children of school-age out of school that is the market which Boko Haram, bandits, IPOB and other militants, that is the market where they recruit people.”

Mr Mohammed’s admission of 13.2 million out-of-school children further counters claims on how the Buhari-led government has succeeded in returning many of the out-of-school children to school.

Before now, the minister had blamed insecurity on the former ruling party, Peoples Democratic Party, which ruled the country for 16 years, absolving the Buhari-led All Progressive Party Congress of responsibility.

PoliticsRe: The Nigerian Constitution Is Very Silent On REFERENDUMS. by waldigit: 3:09pm On Mar 28, 2021
BluntCrazeMan:
For those that may care to know, the Nigerian Constitution actually mentioned referendum, but in very few cases.
It can only be conducted in these three situations:

1). When there is need for the creation of a new State or a new Local Government Area (Section-8 of the Constitution).

2). When there is need to recall a National-Assembly member (Section-69 of the Constitution).

3). When there is need to recall a State House-Of-Assembly member (Section-110 of the Constitution).

And in all the cases, it is only INEC that has the sole power to conduct any of the referendums.
..
..
In the Nigerian Constitution, there is no full section where referendums are explained and detailed; where the Constitution stipulated that some categories of national or State issues, or some magnitudes of national or State issues shall be decided either fully or partly by referendums.
..
It only means that, apart from these three situations stated above, every other form (or type) of National or State issues shall be decided FULLY by the Federal or State Legislature and the Judiciary.
...
For those of you that are shouting Referendum Referendum Referendum.!!
Please, know it now that since you're not seeking for the creation of a new State or Local Government, or for the recall of any of your Legislative Members, then you cannot get it. Even if Nigeria wants to give you the Referendum, the Constitution highly restricted such.

And Most Importantly, Please Note That:
REFERENDUM IS NOT WAR.
..
Referendum Means “General Voting by the people on an important issue”.
Because it was fraudulently drafted. However the provisions for recalling the law makers has embedded in it the joker we can use. Each constituent of the law makers should give them 1 month to move motion for constitutional review, else their recall proceeding shall be initiated ASAP.

A Family member of the Minister of Information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed .who speak Anonymity with our correspondent on a telephone interview. Faulted the minister ways of representing the country on the capacity of minister of information. Need to take a break .as his lies has done heavy damage to the family name image.

We face embarrassment many times even in public. We are appealing to him to slow down. You can’t see white clearly and be telling 200 millions Nigerians is black.

You will recall The National Contact to TI in Nigeria, the Civil Society Legislative Advocacy Centre (CISLAC), had on Tuesday, accused the present Nigerian government of not being transparent in its anti-corruption crusade and management of recovered assets.

But in a swift response, the Minister of Information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, told reporters at the end of the weekly virtual Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting emphasised that TI has been using incorrect indices to rate Nigeria in the last decade.

He said TI had failed to make use of available data on the federal government’s various reforms and other preventive steps, all focused on making a success of the anti-corruption crusade.

According to him, Nigerian has taken another look at TI’s ratings and criticism of the administration’s anti-graft crusade and had discovered that despite all moves made over the years, the international organisation’s details of its rating of Nigeria had been consistent for 10 years.

The Minister stressed that what had been pushed out by TI about Nigeria’s corruption perception index in the last few years were not real reflections of what is on ground, saying much had been done to change the influence of corruption in the country.

He expressed optimism that the results of the various reforms and hard work being put into the corruption fight by the federal government will soon start to yield result and will be reflecting in international rating of the country.

Mohammed said: “We actually also analysed the process that the TI used in the rating that was used recently and we found quite a few discrepancies in the rating process, including some data sources in which Nigeria’s course has remained flat over the past 10 years.”

What we said is that we take this ratings seriously; So, we actually went and analysed the ratings and we found that there’ve been some gaps. It’s either we’ve not flooded enough data or they have not revised all data because we found it strange that the country’s rating in certain areas has remained the same for a period of 10 years and we are taking the media measures so that they can get this data in respect of these sectors because we believe that it’s not possible for you not to improve, for you not to lose points for 10 years. So there’s a bit of discrepancy there”.

Mohammed said there is also the need to understand why these occur, adding that the federal government is also looking at the robustness of its own methodology

OBALOLA55:
There are plans by terrorist groups, Al-Qaeda and ISIS to penetrate Southern Nigeria, the United States has warned the Nigerian government.

The US says the dreaded groups are looking to make an inroad into Southern Nigeria, this is just as It confirmed that Al-Qaeda has started penetrating the north-western part of the country. In a media briefing, Dagvin Anderson, Commander of the US special operations command, Africa, said AlQaeda is also expanding to other parts of West Africa.

According to report obtained from TheCable by Sunday Tribune, Anderson said the US will continue to partner with Nigeria in sharing intelligence “We have engaged with Nigeria and continue to engage with them in intel sharing and in understanding what these violent extremists are doing,” he said.

“And that has been absolutely critical to their engagements up in the Borno state and into an emerging area of northwest Nigeria that we’re seeing al-Qaeda starting to make some inroads in.

“So, this intelligence sharing is absolutely vital and we stay fully engaged with the government of Nigeria to provide them with an understanding of what these terrorists are doing, what Boko Haram is doing, what ISIS-West Africa is doing, and how ISIS and al-Qaeda are looking to expand further south into the littoral areas.

Anderson regretted that despite successes recorded in previous years, there has been a setback, adding: “We as a community of international nations, keep thinking we have defeated them or we have put them on their back foot and that they’re just moments from disintegration.” Anderson said for international efforts to yield desired results in the fight against terrorism in Nigeria, the government must take the lead.

“When it comes to Nigeria in general, Nigeria, obviously, is a critical nation to West Africa. It is a critical nation and we realise that Nigeria is a lynchpin,” he said.
