It's been a while, to be clear the god I'm talking about is the general idea of a person, animal or object that exists as the first thing to exist and may or may not be responsible for everything else.

Let's start with the elephant in the room, we share this universe, you and I, we can objectively give ourselves as much evidence for our own existence. So why would we assume there's someone or something that's exactly like us(outside of the universe as a whole)?

If it's the first thing that ever was why would it have the physical characteristics(depending on belief) of the things in our reality? What does god need a right and left hand for? Clothes? Where'd it get them from?

For a person like me I'd reason these ideas borrow from the time they came to be that those gods would have the themes of the society they lived in, Greek gods occupy Greek mountains, Jewish gods occupy Jewish lands, Scientology spirits ride in airplanes(yes, google that).

And it's dumb to think of the creation stories as anything but myths of those cultures. So a perfect god(again, depending on the god) wouldn't get humans right the first time? And if it can't would a second time be any different?

If the god is an animal then why allow human beings exploit the animal for food, luxury and work? Why would a cow/goat, bull god make a human or even want to?

If there's such a place the god stays in but wants us to be with it what's the point of here then? Not saying there can't be reasons but when you start seeing brain dead babies and life born into this world that experiences pain and suffering 24/7 you have to ask why your god would be okay for a new being to be scorned for nothing at all.

Moving on to the naturally next point from the previous, if we humans did something to offend that being then doesn't that mean the being can't predict human behavior? Or wants humans to be exactly the way we are?

Lastly, if there's a way to reclaim peace with that/those being(s) then what function does our experiences serve if we're created with only one purpose in mind? I'm basically saying if you want object "b" to only do x in y then why add a feature that prevents or prolongs this process? Trial? For who? The object does not have to run any trial if it's use is for the creator.

These are my gripes with god/gods as an idea, it would be interesting to see if other people(believer or not) shares the same or have anything to add or clear over these. Thanks.

To start with let me let you be informed that God is no longer idea in the like of empirical evidence domain. I don't know wether you are familiar with science but if you are, please pay attention to works of inventors such as Necolas Tesla, Rodin and Gerald.

God is outside space and time, so He is not exactly like man, even though he created man in his own his image and likeness.
I am a science student and it has helped me to appreciate and love to know more about phenomenon of God.
The present age of AI has greatly helped by providing empirical confirmation of existence of God.
I appeal to you to give Jesus a trial and let him reveal God to you. This has nothing to do with religion.

There was the greatest distress in Jerusalem around 70 AD leading to the destruction of the Temple in 70 AD by the Romans. Jesus stated that: 34 Truly I tell you, this generation will certainly not pass away until all these things have happened.

This generation shall not pass.... Mathew 24:34
Matthew 24:32 Now learn a parable of the fig tree; When his branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is nigh:
33 So likewise ye, when ye shall see all these things, know that it is near, even at the doors.
Matthew 24:34 Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled.
What exactly did the Jesus mean in the above statement of verse 34 ? Is this another controversial statement credited to Him? How many generations have passed since more than 2000 years ago when the statement was made?
A dictionary meaning of "generation" can be: age, age group, peer group, cohort, stage of life
To understand this statement in the Matthew 24:34 let us focus on "generation" as "age" or "stage of life".
Human civilization according to historians, has passed through ages or stages. Prominent among these are: stone age, agrarian age, industrial revolution age, information age and now Artificial Intelligence age.
Stone age is characterized by man in culture of making use of stone as weapon and equipment.
Agrarian age is marked by men using simple machine as farm implement and weapon. It's man's major preoccupation was agriculture. This was the stage at time of Jesus Christ.
Industrial age is defined industrial revolution, when man started using energy driven complex machines for agriculture and production.
Information age came with man started using extremely fast machines.
Now artificial intelligence age means man started using intelligent or smart machines.
So back to the statement of Mathew 24:34 we need to understand that up till today all the features of all past ages are still present in the world today despite the stage of civilization as at now
We still have stone, agrarian, Industrial ages culture among some people in many regions of the world that are regarded as modern civilization till now.
High level of illetracy, farmine, food scarcity, malnutrition, poverty, pandemic and disaster which were all attendant features of past ages are still with us till today.
So in effect what the Holy Spirit want us to know in the statement is that, the iminience of the end of the world shall be so soon that many parts of the world would still exhibit characteristics of agrarian age which was when Jesus was making that statement in Matthew 24:34 .
May we be found worthy to meet Him when He returns.

The first instance as recorded in the Bible where the Apostles spoke in 'tongues' was on the day of Pentecost and it was clearly stated there that this became necessary because many foreigners who visited Jerusalem for the Passover feast needed to hear the Apostles preach the Gospel.

Many people want the country to remain one, but the politicians disappointed and discouraged them. They keep preaching unity that only translate to what they selfishly benefit from Nigeria. People want unity where there is equity, justice and peace. But the politicians want it at any cost because of selfish interest, hence they don't mind the terms and conditions. Here Jesus specifically told them to go to the lost sheep of Israel not to the Gentiles nor to the Samaritans! In summary the world of Jesus is Israel!

The same way he was sent by the father, also He sent us to finish the mission. He merely started it. The real mission is to save whosoever is willing to be saved.
