No one emphasized that the young man has been dismissed as a priest since 5 years ago. But all media have to tag "catholic priest" to get more reading attention.

He is still a priest. The post says he was expelled from a faith based congregation and not from the catholic church. Those faith based organizations are autonomous and are not necessarily controlled by the catholic church.

My concern is, they could have shot and killed the guy just to cover their crime. This is what you get when citizens join the police force not out of passion but because there are no jobs. Pathetic!

Your post comes off as unprofessional! You don't need to keep repeating the same words over and over. I had wanted to bring it to your attention before that guy did, but was too lazy to type. I know others feel the same way too!

If I were you, I would change my methods. If you must post it, then it shouldn't go beyond one paragraph. Just my 2 cent!

Child bearing for ungrateful men should be abolished. I have seen women give birth today and their stupid husbands wanted them to resume their bedroom and home chores almost immediately.

When some men say marriages benefit women more than men, I just shake my head. To my greatest knowledge, a pregnant woman is at risk of losing her life and should be worshiped.

This is why even if DNA proves you ain't your children's biological dad, just manage it like that because the woman risked her stupid life to bear you kids.

This is the mistakes most people make and that is why we have lots of marriages crashing everyday.

I have realized that couples don't have real time discussions before tying the knot. They use the little time they have to plan for weddings instead of marriage.

Some women don't ask questions and prefer to play dumb just to give the 'she is a good woman' vibe. A woman I know got married to her husband whose older brother is sufferring from an ailment which could be hereditary.

When I asked her to know more details, she told me boldly that she didn't ask her husband so it doesn't look like she was prying.

Imagine if the illness is hereditary and one of her children is unfortunate to inherit it, who will bear the brunt? People need to be more open with each other before marriage and discuss vital issues to avoid stories that touch.

Although the dude acts like a mugu sometimes, this is not that serious.

I've tried to several times but it's hard. I only know their first names, I don't even know their surname, I don't know the state they are or if they're in Nigeria at all. When I reunited with my biological sister, she told me she only met them once and at the time, they were in Enugu. My aunt from my mother's side who is the only family member that I know from my mother's side (we also reunited after so many years), I asked her about them and she said that the female one now has a child, but is no longer with the man whom she has the child with. Even she doesn't care about them. I was heart broken cos I didn't even know that I have a nephew.

Many times I've shed tears due to the dysfunctional way my family is. My family has never been united. My father hates every single memory of my mother, and my mother's family hates him as well, even up till today. At some point, they accused him of being responsible for my mother's death which is absolutely not true. Sometimes I feel my father doesn't care much about I and my biological sister cos we came from my mother. I have a tattoo of my mother's name and a heart shape on my left wrist. The day my father saw it, he was filled with resentment and kinda withdrawn from me. He didn't make it obvious but I knew cos I have a very strong discerning spirit and I know him very well. I know he doesn't hate us, I just think we bring back memories of her.

So sad to read! I just hope you have a good relationship with the biological sister you know. You guys can grow in love and change the narratives. Don't allow history to repeat itself.

I can't really say it's healthy, neither can I say it's toxic. We just don't have a strong bond with each other.

To begin with, I have two elder half siblings I've never meet before, these are my late mother's children she had from a previous marriage before she married my dad. I haven't even seen their pictures so I don't even know how they look like, I only know their names. And any time I ask a family member who've had contact with them, they just waive it off.

In my family, it's not the younger ones (siblings, cousin) that are toxic, it's the elder ones (parents, uncle's, aunties) although not all Sha, and it's rubbing off on some of the younger ones. To say the least, my family is very dysfunctional.

We are just two who share the same parents, I and my younger sister, the rest are my half siblings. My biological sister and I didn't grow up together due to my mom and dad's separation. We reunited after 15yrs and still had some misunderstandings due to individual differences. Then I decided to be away from family and find my way through life. The last time we saw was about 2-3 yrs ago, we only communicate via call and WhatsApp and it's been cool.

My other half siblings, the children my dad has with his present wife we barely communicate, not because we hate each other but they are still young and are still under parent's custody so they follow whatever their mother tells them. I think they'll come around when they're much older.

I eager look forward to spending some with them in the coming hollidays though.

Your mom should have tried to unite you and your half siblings before her death. It is said that half siblings who share the same mother are closer than those who share the same father. I wonder why you never met with your siblings.

I believe you are old enough. You should make an effort to trace them even if it's obvious they don't care. Because if they actually care, they could have linked up with you before now.
