Truth234:
Today I saw a video published by Daddy Freeze on his youtube channel where two people that met on Nairaland partnered to establish a business (kayautodetailing) that specializes in auto polishing and detailing.

Rasaq (Hausa) said he met Kalu (Igbo) on Nairaland. Few searches revealed oppre26 own kayautodetailing.

"Interestingly I met Kalu on the internet, Nairaland. He was looking for a particular detailing compound," stated Rasaq.

Kalu, who served in the North, said his experience during NYSC and partnership with Rasaq are different from the media narrative. He said despite their difference in terms of religion and tribe their commonalities transcend obvious differences. Watch their interview below.

FashionRe: A Nairalander's Perfume Appreciation Thread. by wealthtrak: 8:36am On Aug 05, 2021
DrFunmisticGlow:
There nothing quite like the feeling of people recognising you based on your perfume.

As a woman in my late 20s, i can say that i and perfumes, have come a long way. Let me tell you an open secret (you don't need to break the bank to smell like a million bucks)

Everyone starts from somewhere, i started from using my mom's, but she wasn't a perfume coniesseur and used anything that landed on her vanity. So i wasn't a fan.

What kind of perfumes do I like now? I like more mature, more flowery, musky, woody, oriental fragrances (not oud pls, it smells like aboki). If it is cloying sweet i don't like it, i also no longer like fruity fragrances. I've outgrown them

Perfumes and I took off, right after secondary school. The first perfume that I saw, smelt on someone and liked was body fantasies cucumber melon. The real OGs will know this very popular scent, it's fresh, light, mouthwatering sweet in a good way, and it was always sold out at the supermarket on campus. Besides as a student, the point was to get the cheapest perfume with the most value and at 236ml and a better economy back then, cucumber melon was lit and would last me months. As i moved to the medical campus, i would come to be known among my friends as the girl who smelt like body fantasies. I had tried almost every perfume of thiers that came my way. Some i loved to the core, others i hated with a passion. Others were unimpressive and 'meh' at best.

Apart from cucumber melon, noteworthy sprays that deserve the clout in the body fantasies collection include the following:

Vanilla: this should be the safest, starting point of perfumes for anyone. We all know what vanilla smells like, whether the icecream or the flavoring used to make cake.

Sexiest musk: there's was something that gave me confidence about this scent. It was comfortable and sexy at the same time. This one like cucumber melon holds a special place in my heart. If i ever saw it. I would buy every last one and drink garri that month. It is my favorite body fantasies.

Plumeria: this brings me to the tree which i had in primary school, the flowers bloomed year round except may to july. It's is also called frangipani. It's the nostalgia for me.

Japanese cherry blossom: if you had this scent, you were a real OG because it was so scarce. It's very sophisticated to boot.

Other noteworthy mentions are sweet pea(never tried) and white musk(i was too afraid to try it. It smelt suspicious to me)

The body fantasies which i dislike immensely till today:

NB: that I hate then doesn't mean you won't like them.

Cotton candy:if you have ever eaten (stolen) a jar of sugar and eaten so much it becomes bitter and scratchy at the back of your tongue and makes you want to vomit a little. Cotton candy smells so sickenly, cloyingly sweet like pure sugar and for some people, that smell doesn't go well with sweat and the smell follows you like a curse. I'm having nausea just remembering the scent. It's so polarising, you either love or hate it.

Strawberry:
maybe it's because I hate anything strawberry in general, it's sickening sweet too. Don't come for me.

Raspberry: sister to strawberry, not a fan

By the time I was getting to these perfumes, i was outgrowing body fantasies because they were beginning to smell similar and these are just okay in my opinion and do not warrant their own paragraph ;

Iced cupcakes (had a vanilla, pineapple, burnt sugar smell) twilight mist(a little flowery but mostly sweet) sweet sunrise (similar to twilight mist but more brighter and cheery)

Body fantasies was just becoming so expensive. It was Time to move on, but that stage of my life, i was becoming a woman but still had the budget of a student. My nose was thirsting for adventure so i upgraded to (drum roll please)

SMART COLLECTION
As an OG, I find your post on
perfums to be insightful.

I love musky and woody scented notes though as a man. wink

You write like you're older than your real age range here. I didn't realise you're a real young doc prior to this moment. grin

Nice thread.

PART 3

In the concluding part of this write-up, I will like to briefly take you through the VINAY trading system and explain the role each of the tools used for the setup play.

The 2 major tools used are:-

1. The Order Zone Bars (OZB) ...... non - repaint

2. The Swing Reversal Dots (SRD) ..... non - repaint

The other 2 tools which helps to determine the trend (EMA) and the range (Channel) we expect the market to move are :-

3. The EMA-30

4. The Auto Channel plotter

These are the 4 tools you will find on the VINAY SYSTEM charts which has been integrated together to form templates. There are 28 currency pair templates that I regularly scan to look for a nice entry setup.

The OZB is key to this trading system because I am actually looking for a break and retest on any of them. The Order Zone Bars (OZB) are bars designed to identify past price points were the big boys, the market movers actually pumped in money to cause the market to move significantly.

The OZB is a pure PRICE ACTION trading tool that goes back in time ( 1 - 4) years to identify major price points where major reversals occur. The secret to note is that the Market movers usually make use of these previous zones to make trade entries in the future. See these bars as roads in the city of Forex. Once a road (an OZB) has been created and used, it will still be used in the future. When you check a bar, you will see how price reacted on each bars over the years. A bar identified in 2017 which caused a 100 pips move can still in 2018 or 2019 repeat the same feat. And this is the wisdom behind the various OZBs you are seeing on each charts. We however, now use these bars for market continuation or trending scenarios.

To make money in Forex, all you need to do is to identify strong entry points where the market can start it's significant move from. These bars in addition do serve as barriers which can be used to determine where you will place your stop loss at. If a particular OZB is the bar a market mover (institutional investors) want to use as a propelling point to pump in billions, then you will see the market do a break and re-test on it . Once the retesting candlestick is closing as a rejection candle, it is time to get set for an entry. Market usually do not break the OZB to take your stop loss out, rather a valid OZB will serve as a point to push the market significantly in the direction of an already established trend.

The extra confirmation to enter the market will later come from the Swing Reversal Dot (SRD). Once you see the SRD, it is time to enter the market. SRD is a lagging tool so it takes time to form and it does not re-paint. Once it forms, alongside the OZB's candle rejection, then you are good to go. If you notice a reversal candle like doji, Hammer etc on the OZB too even when the SRD is yet to form, you can still take the trade (with lesser risk).

If you look closely at each of the 6 charts featured above, you will notice a break and re-test on an OZB, a rejection candle and an SRD under it.

The EMA-30 helps to tell us about the market trend which can be either bullish (market going up) or bearish (market going down) while the channel helps to define the scope of price movement and when to exit your trade. The Channel is automatically plotted by the Auto Channel Plotter on the chart but if you know how to plot channels, you can use the one that comes with your MT4 to plot the channels yourself. Same with the EMA.

The 28 templates are for these 28 market pairs:-

1. USDCHF 2. USDCAD 3. EURUSD 4. GBPUSD 5. NZDUSD 6. AUDUSD 7. USDJPY 8. EURJPY 9. CADCHF 10. CHFJPY 11. CADJPY

12. EURCHF 13. EURAUD 14. EURCAD 15. EURNZD 16. GBPJPY 17. EURGBP 18. GBPAUD 19. GBPCAD 20. GBPCHF 21. GBPNZD 22. NZDCHF

23. NZDCAD 24. NZDJPY 25. AUDJPY 26. AUDCAD 27. AUDNZD 28. AUDCHF

With these 28 templates containing all of the tools used for this trading system, you are sure to always find trade setups every week. It is not by how far but how well. 5 solid setups is better than 50 useless signals (free or paid). Trade less , trade clinically and win most of the time!

With this easy to understand trading system, you don't need to pay for any signal service again or spend time attending seminars here and there. I have spent years to come to this point. Let me help you to reduce your learning time and to reduce the knocks this market will give you when you trade naively. Just try and get my tools which cost me a lot to get and which you will need to pay, for you to get it or you get something similar and trade with the same philosophy.

I have given the training for free here, the rest (getting the templates at a fee) is left to you.

If you wish to get this 28 templates and the strategy in details, you can get in touch with me via my number on my signature.

Happy trading.
Well said. Awesome thread.

The 6 signals whose charts you see above are:-

1. GBPUSD which gave X 3 returns

2. EURJPY which gave X 4 returns

3. CHFJPY which gave X 4.5 returns

4. NZDJPY which gave X 6 returns

5. AUDJPY which gave X 4 returns

6. GBPAUD which gave X 4 returns

The total returns for the 2 days that we saw these setups are equal to 25.5

If you risk let's say N5,000 per trade, a total of N30,000 for the 6 setups, then you would have made N127,500 and your N30,000 will still return back to your capital saved.

You will get this result if you are very diligent and patient enough to allow the setup form. If you don't see any setup in a day or even days, then let go trading till you find a complete setup that you can trade. Never try to deviate from the pattern or assume that something similar to the setup has formed. For filtration purpose, it is all or no trade! And note that all the trades are in the direction of their trends.

Should there still be trades that will eventually go wrong, your tight entry (small stop loss) and good returns on winning trades will help to keep you in profit at the end of your trading week/month.

In part 3 of this write-up, I will explain the nitty gritty of the tools on the charts. I will tell you what I look out for in this VINAY SYSTEM before I can say a trade is set. Till then, I want you to salivate on the results just explained above.

Cheers

PART 2

Haven reviewed the 4 major reasons why Fx traders lose money in the market in part 1 of this write-up, let us now proceed further to look at a unique trading system that has the following:-

* It is trend based

* The 2 major tools used are NON - REPAINTING tools, meaning it does not do "follow - follow".

* The pattern is dedicated and if it doesn't form, you dont trade.

* The money management plan i.e the risk to reward ratio is very tight.

This trading system (Pattern + Tools) makes up what I call the VINAY SYSTEM.

Yesterday, 7th of November, VINAY SYSTEM gave us 5 entries and today, 8th of November, 2018 so far, only one setup has formed and it is also positive.

Like I said earlier, you should only take a trade when the setup is complete as shown in the charts below.

PART 1

PREAMBLE

This over $7 trillion daily currency market is the largest market in the world. Fx traders use technical or fundamental analysis to speculate currency movements daily, weekly or monthly and then try to make money off the market. Some are smiling to the bank always while some are loosing big time.

Like every other investment ventures, there is always a risk involved. But if you know this 4 MAJOR reasons why traders loose in the market and you know the way out, you too will soon join those who are now seeing green at the end of every trading sessions.

Here are the 4 major reasons.

1. TRADING AGAINST TREND

The trend is your friend. Trading against the market trend (overall direction) thinking that the market has changed direction when it is just doing a temporary pull back is a major reason why traders lose in this business. The temporary taking of few profits by the big boys who are responsible for the trend in the first place is the reason why you are seeing a pull back or a retracement on the particular pair you are trading. It is also a trap to lure reversal traders to come into the market so that they can then loose to them the trend traders when they later pump in more money to sustain the trend. The reversal traders are taken out while the trend traders will continue to take profit till thy kingdom come.

2. USING FOLLOW - FOLLOW TOOLS

Most technical analysis done to forecast the next direction of the market is based on the use of these "follow - follow" tools. These tools always repaint, it gives you a signal and later change the signal immediately the market changes thereby deceiving or confusing you. Most tools out there work this way. If the tool you are using is not a NON-REPAINTING tool, then forget it, you are bound to loose in this market.

3. NOT DEDICATED TO A PARTICULAR TRADING PATTERN

The big banks, the George Soros and the Warren Buffet of this world who pump in billions into this market to determine the trend usually have a trading pattern they use before they deploy investors money into the market. If you are fortunate to discover any, master it and stick to it like a sticker. When the pattern forms and you take the trade, you are most likely to come out as a winner. This is because you are swimming with and under the protection of the sharks in the market. Retail traders monies are not enough to move the market actually. It is the institutional investors at specific TIME, PRICE AND PATTERN FORMATION who determines the direction the market will travel to in line with the policy direction of the Central Banks of the top 8 fx countries in the world. When you master a market moving pattern, you will always TP (Take Profit) in this wonderful market that is capable of making anyone financially free.

4. POOR MONEY MANAGEMENT

If you are the type that always take the little profit you see and allow your loss to run thinking that it will later return to profit, then you are the worst trader of all time! In monetary terms, lets say you see a profit of N2,000, you are happy, pepper soup money is set and you quickly take that profit. The day the market will be N10,000 against you, what will you do? If your win amounts are always small, when you now sustain a big loss, the setback (drawdown) to your account will be so much. In a bid to recover, that is when you will now start to take unnecessary trades till you loose all of your money. If your win to loss reward ratio is not up to 3 i.e for every N2,000 that you are willing to risk, you are targeting N6,000 at least, then you cannot really make it big in this market.

If you take 5 trades for instance and you win 2 trades (N6000 x 2 equals N12,000) and you lose 3 trades (N2000 x 3 equals N6,000) you would still have made a profit of N6,000 even though you had more loses than wins. You must factor in losses in this business. But if you have a good trading system (tools + Pattern) and you are very disciplined, applying appropriate money management rules, then the sky will be your beginning in the fx world.

CONCLUSION

These 4, are the major reasons why traders lose in the forex market. I have also been guilty of this in the past till I had a meeting with myself. I told myself that things MUST CHANGE! I decided to change my trading style. I corrected all the 4 errors and now, I see a glorious future for me in this international dollar pumping business. In part 2 of this write up, I will share with you a new trading system that will change your trading story for good. It is very simple to master and very profitable. It is a new discovery. Nairaland forex traders must know this so that we can all make money and be able to patronize Seun as we advertise our other businesses on nairaland with forex money!

Just a few weeks ago, a guy sold his website in the romance/dating niche for $4950…

https://www.careercounsel.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/02/site3.png

and guess what he does, Just posting romantic sms. He started the website in August 2015 and sold it one year later for $4950.

$4950 x 480 = N 2,376,000. This site make makes $300-$350 per month. Talk about how to become a millionaire within 1 year. That is your answer.

May I remind you that he has been earning $300-350 per month for one year before he decided to sell his website? Let’s redo the numbers again.

He has been making $300/month. $300/ month x 12 Months = $3600

He sold the site for $4950. That means the website earned him $3600+$4950 which gives us $8550. $8550 x 480 = N4,104,000. As you can see, he made 4Million Naira within one year from his website project. 4 Million naira for doing something that others waste their time for free.

As you can see from the screenshot here, the seller of this site is a Nigerian like you and I. So what excuse do you have?

Some people might still be doubting… In that case, it is best to post a live link so you can see where it sold. Here you go: https://www.flippa.com/7813836-lovemessages-com-ng

I am sure many Romancelander on Nairaland never knew they could make money in niche they are passionate about and this circle also consist of so many guys professing love to a girl, writing series of romantic sms for her and she probably does not care about them.

If you are that guy, please stop wasting your brains, start a website where you can write such romantic sms and get a HUGE reward in return!

Another set of people who talk a lot about their passion are the football lovers. You can start website too and get rewarded. These are people who are either supporting ManUtd or Chelsea or Liverpool or Real Madrid or Barcelona FC. They can argue their life, they know history of each footballer and their clubs. Start a website targeting just one club and take it up from there.

You can get contents to write in the football niche if you use Google Alert to get daily content delivered to a specific email. All you have to do is click on the link to take you to each content and re-write the contents in your words when they hit your email. 300 words will do.

How Can You Copy This Same Secret?

Buy a domain name to target any of the niches listed in this article. You can get one for free if you contact me. Build your site.

Now, here is a key component. Make sure your site has categories or label. Using the romance SMS niche for example, your categories should be “Love SMS, Birthday SMS, Good Morning SMS, Friendship SMS”. Also ensure that each content or article on your site is carefully tagged.A typical music site should have something like: “free music download, artiste name + song download, download + artiste name song” In the tags. You get the drift now?

Make sure you post daily to your website and make the content highly unique and original, optimize SEO on your website with keyword targeting your niche. Also make sure you have a privacy policy page, terms and conditions, about us page for your site. This is very important.

It will help improve the ranking of your website and drive traffic to it via Google,Bing and Yahoo.

Once your site start receiving traffic, it is time to install google adsense on it to earn money.

How to Sell Your Website.

At maturity, you should list your website for sale on Flippa.com or EmpireFlippers.com. These are two notable world best place to sell your website. People will start bidding on your site once they verify that all reports are legit.

At the end of the auction, you should transfer the website to the winning bidder. It is very simple to do this. Just extract the files from current hosting account, zip it and give to the buyer who will the upload it to their server.

Of course this is after he might have paid into an escrow account while you do the transfer.

I know some people may not have the expertise to set up their own website but would love to start this business where they can write about their passion. If this sound like you, you have nothing to worry about.

I need just 20 action takers and I will help them set up their website and optimize it for FREE. Please note that you pay for your hosting while I help you get a domain name for FREE and Also set up the site for you. Your only job is to post to the site. It is that simple. You don’t have any excuse why you shouldn’t make your first 1M in 2017 if you act now. You are not paying for any ebook and neither are your sending money to any bank account. So what excuse do you have? Website will be set up for you by me.

Hello,

Something happened last night that will change your life for good and I decided to blog about it.

I was on Facebook yesterday when a friend buzzed my Facebook box. He wanted to know if it was possible to sell his website that is making him $5 per day. I asked if he has proof of traffic and analytics because those are very important when you want to sell a website and he told me yes.

https://www.careercounsel.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/02/site.png

$5/day is $150 per month. It might look little to a lot of person but here is the truth: A website making as much as $150 per month can be sold for nothing less than $2000. This is because by industry standard, a site is sold for 10 times -15 times the amount of its monthly earnings.

Logically, since this friend of mine is making $150 per month, its current market value would be $150 x 15 = $2250.

Now, going by the current exchange rate of naira to dollar, $2250 X 480 naira is a little above 1 Million naira.

https://www.careercounsel.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/02/site2.png

A closer look at the screenshot here shows that he contacted me because he knows I have the experience to lead him right and that is what I want to show you today.

But guess what I told him. I told him not to sell just yet. I told him to work on the site to raise the current earnings to $500/ month. Sure, $2000 is good amount of money right now in Nigeria but what if you have a chance to double it to $10,000? Pretty cool, isn’t it? So based on that, I told him to wait till the earnings has increased to $300-500 per month.

The most surprising thing is that my friend started this website around December 2016. He makes this money from Google Adsense and Adsense site is highly sought after by buyers.

So what do you need to start selling website in 2017?

Just 4 things.

A domain name… This cost $10-12 but you can get one for FREE. if you contact me.
A web hosting account. If you want to sell website for profit you should have money to pay for at least 1 year hosting account.
Profitable niche
Content/Article
You can make money selling your talent or passion through this…

When I look around Nairaland for instance, I see people talk so passionately about football, romance, food, music, celebrity gossips and entertainment without a penny added to their bank account. If you find yourself in this category, your story is about change starting today.

So how can you make money from this listed hobbies or passion spots?

The guy who contacted me is the music niche but is target is international… surprise? You and I know that niche is super HOT, with people looking for where to download the latest song. If you doubt me, ask Makinde Azeez of Naijaloaded.

I also know a lady who loves music so much and she listens to dozens of songs everyday. I once asked her how many songs she has on her phone and she amazingly said over 1000 songs. I asked her where does she get the songs and she mentioned Naijaloaded and some other sites. The internet is infested with chronic music lovers like this one and they are the people who make your site money when they visit it.

You couldn't do without dragging his relatives into this, now could you? FYI, a lot of females troop into fertility clinics here in Abuja to sell their eggs. An egg could go for as high as 200k. The only thing is that most doctors aren't sincere because they end up extracting more than one egg and extract quite a number and lie that it was just one that they extracted. The lady is paid between 120- 200k depending on the hospital and then sold for as high as 500-600k by the hospital. Men aren't left out as some men sell their sperms. Sperms are bought at the rate of 5k while high quality sperms go for between 10-15k depending on the hospital.
Interesting insights.

In India, surrogate mothers
have used the money paid
to them to build houses and

to a BBC report I listened to
in the early 2000s.

However it's insulting that
a mere N15,000 is paid for

A surrogate mother is urgently needed in Abuja. The would-be surrogate mother would be paid N1,000,000 for the transaction. The conditions are that she must be a mother of at least one child (this proves she can conceive) and the second condition is that she must not be older than 30. If you're qualified and interested or know someone that qualifies for this, just quote me and we'd take it up from there.

US based film maker, Daniel Ademinokan has shared lovely photos as he and his son reunited with his ex-wife Doris Simeon in New York.

Doris has not seen her son for years, as he lives with Daniel and Stella in the U.S.

Doris and Daniel separated in 2010, and he has since moved on and married actress, Stella Damasus who now lives with him in the U.S.

Stella and Daniel celebrated their 2nd wedding anniversary few days ago, and as usual, they got several backlash from people who insulted Stella for 'stealing' her colleague's husband.

Well, Daniel has now cleared the air by sharing these photos to show that there is no bad blood between him and Doris.

He wrote;

"Spent the entire weekend buried in a studio editing but I had to come up for air for THIS.

Don't believe everything you read on blogs. They've gotta stay sensational to make a dollar. . It’s all good in the Hood.

It said the country is in its last phase.
Sunday, May 30, 2021 14:05 / by National Pivot

John Campbell, a former US Ambassador to Nigeria.

The Council on Foreign Relations (CFR), and the Harvard Kennedy School in the United States, have said that Nigeria as a nation, is at a point of no return haven showed all the signs of a failed nation. The organisation which made the disclosure in a research finding it released through its senior fellow and former US Ambassador to Nigeria, John Campbell and Mr Robert Rotberg, who is the founding director, Harvard Kennedy School’s Programme on Intrastate Conflict and president emeritus, World Peace Foundation, said Nigeria is currently in its final phase, from which it would eventually collapse.

The organisation said their position was not based on emotion or the fancy of using pejorative words to described the situation, but on “a body of political theory developed at the turn of this century and elaborated upon, case by case, ever since.”

Its report said Nigeria has since moved from being a weak state to “a fully failed state,” having manifested all the signs of a failed country, including the inability of government to protect the citizens, large scale violence and festering insurgency.

According to them, President Muhammadu Buhari admitting that the Federal Government has lost control of the situation is the first step towards the restoration of stability. The duo warned that Nigeria’s failure as a state comes with negative consequences for peace and security in West Africa sub-region as well as Europe and the US.

“Nigeria has long teetered on the precipice of failure. But now, unable to keep its citizens safe and secure, Nigeria has become a fully failed state of critical geopolitical concern.

“Its failure matters because the peace and prosperity of Africa and preventing the spread of disorder and militancy around the globe depend on a stronger Nigeria.

“Its economy is usually estimated to be Africa’s largest or second largest, after South Africa. Long West Africa’s hegemon, Nigeria played a positive role in promoting African peace and security.

“With state failure, it can no longer sustain that vocation, and no replacement is in sight. Its security challenges are already destabilising the West African region in the face of resurgent jihadism, making the battles of the Sahel that much more difficult to contain.

“And spillover from Nigeria’s failures ultimately affect the security of Europe and the United States.

“Indeed, thoughtful Nigerians over the past decade have debated, often fervently, whether their state has failed. Increasingly, their consensus is that it has,” the report published on foreignpolicy(dot)com on Thursday, said.

The report further says, "There are four kinds of nations: the strong, the weak, the failed, and the collapsed.

"According to previously published research estimates, of the 193 members of the United Nations, 60 or 70 are strong—the nations that rank highest in the listings of Freedom House, the human rights reports of the U. S. State Department, the anticorruption perception indices of Transparency International, and so on.

"There are three places that should be considered collapsed: Somalia, South Sudan, and Yemen.

"Eighty or 90 U.N. members are weak. Weakness consists of providing many, but not all, of essential public goods, the most important of which are security and safety. If citizens are not secure from harm within national borders, governments cannot deliver good governance (the essential services that citizens expect) to their constituents.

"Possibly a dozen or so states are failed, including the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Central African Republic, and Myanmar. Each lacks security, is unsafe, has weak rules of law, is corrupt, limits political participation and voice, discriminates within its borders against various classes and kinds of citizens, and provides educational and medical services sparingly. Most of all, failed states are violent.

"All failed states harbor some form of violent internal strife, such as civil war or insurgency. Nigeria now confronts six or more internal insurrections and the inability of the Nigerian state to provide peace and stability to its people has tipped a hitherto very weak state into failure.

"According to political theory, the government’s inability to thwart the Boko Haram insurgency is enough to diagnose Nigeria as a failed state. But there are many more symptoms. At a bare minimum, citizens expect their states to keep them secure from external attack and to keep them safe within their borders.

"The bargain that subjects long ago made with their sovereigns was being kept from harm in exchange for allegiance and taxation. When that quid pro quo breaks down, a state loses its coherence, its social fabric disintegrates, and warring factions subvert the social contract that should provide the fundamental foundation of the state.

"Nigeria now appears to have reached the point of no return. Indeed, few parts of Nigeria are today fully safe," the report added.

Actually, there are only two know species of poisonous snakes; Keelback and Garter snakes which are endemic to Australia and the Americas respectively. But I think you meant venomous (not poisonous). Still, only about 25% of species are venomous. The vast majority (75%) of species are neither poisonous nor venomous.
Besides, snakes just want to be left alone. They only strike when threatened! So as long as they aren't invading your living space, and you aren't invading theirs, everyone can go about living their lives, including snakes.

FamilyRe: My Sad Experience With A Shady Logistics Company. by wealthtrak: 3:17pm On Jul 14, 2021
Freemasonry:
Hello everyone,
This is going to be a long read but bear with me as I get this off my chest.

I want to share a recent sad experience in the hopes that someone here will learn, and avoid making a similar mistake, or even suggest how I can quickly resolve the situation.

I wanted a big screen tv and somehow found a 65” 4K smart tv on sale in Lagos.
Terms were agreed over the phone and sent a friend that stays in Lagos to confirm the state of the merchandise, make payment and take delivery.

My guy went and confirmed the tv, I made the transfer and he took the tv to the park to be waybilled to the east.

We had agreed to use GIG logistics, but according to my guy, they refused to accept the item. I suggested GUO logistics, he went there then called me back that they said he should take it to a place where they will package it in a box and weigh it. But because the place was a few poles away from where he was, he said he wouldn’t go. By this time he was already sounding exasperated, and I could understand that I had put him through some inconvenience. A while later, he calls to say that he was going to send it through a shady character by the name of Mr. Salami. To make matters worse these people demanded I pay 20k for my item to be brought safe and sound to Ebonyi state. We tried to negotiate but they were adamant because according to them the tv would occupy three seats, so I paid the 20k and was told that the bus will leave by Saturday evening, and arrive by Sunday morning. Although I had my reservations I couldn’t object much coz my friend was obviously stressed.

Fast forward to Sunday morning, noon and night and no one called me for pickup, so I got worried and called the Mr salami, after I explained who I was and why I was calling, he asked me if I thought Ebonyi was Maryland or Ojota, then he hung up. I was pissed but I reined in my temper and called my guy to please get across to the man to know the status of my waybill.

My friend called me to say mr Salami said we should relax that the item would reach me in an hour. An hour stretched to midnight and before you knew it, it was Monday morning.
I kept calling to know when the item would arrive coz I was anxious, but I was fed a litany of lies about how the driver had arrived at their park in Abakaliki and was probably sleeping off the fatigue of night driving, I said okay.
Eventually the Driver’s number connected and I asked where I could come for pickup, he said he was in Enugu, and that my tv will get to me soon.

Around 3pm Monday I got a call from a different driver that my tv was just given to him for delivery and that he will call me on arrival. I said okay.
As it turned out, the first driver had handed it over to another person to deliver.

4:30pm he called again to say he had arrived. When I got there I saw the tv tied on the roof of the Toyota Sienna with half the protective covering gone. It was pretty obvious that something bad had happened. The driver and I brought it down from the road and behold, the screen was completely shattered.

The sienna driver swore that it was like that when the other driver from Lagos gave it to him. He said he asked them to pay him 4K for the tv to be carried inside the vehicle but they refused and paid 2k for the tv to be conveyed like a log of wood.

My guy has gone to meet with them today to make a formal complaint and ask for indemnity, they called me and said I should send back the tv to Lagos for them to fix. Meanwhile, the guy I bought the tv from and another technician have both passed a beyond-repair verdict on it. We gave them an option to pay 70% of the cost of the tv but they are making excuses.

I’m so angry about the whole thing, and because I’m not in Lagos I don’t really know how I can resolve this matter quickly and get justice. I’m so pissed that the greed of two men destroyed a great tv with an amazing viewing experience.

Please, if anyone here has any useful suggestions to offer me, please do. I’m so confused right now.

Thank you for your time.

PS: This piece will not be complete if I fail to advise everyone reading this to avoid using roadside transport companies for fragile items. This experience has taught me to use either DHL or UPS.
It’s better to be safe than sorry.
OMG! Sorry about this situation
which took place in late 2020.

Insurance covers are usually
offered by these standard logistics firms. The delicate goods to be shipped are always labelled
"fragile" in secure packaging.

My instincts tell me that the
damage to the TV screen took
place between the point of offloading from the bus at
Abakaliki and the delivery to
your place.

Cheers.

You've probably heard a lot of bizarre things, we'll this one is another one that would make your ears stand upright.

A man who never existed had a child

Clearly, you should be thinking:

“How can someone who never exist have a child?”

Well, here is the story…

A Washington family had just had a child when the father decided to take a paternal test. When he got the results back, he was shocked.

He wasn’t the father to his child.

The couple decided that he’ll take a 23andMe test, and the results shocked them even more.

The father was actually the uncle.

This couldn’t make sense, though, since the child was made through Vitro fertilization, and only the father was giving the sperm sample.

What the father learned from this changed his entire perspective on who he was as a person.

The father was a chimera who absorbed his fraternal twin, who also happened to be a male.

Inside, the father’s sperm was 90% himself and 10% his twin brother.

His son only inherited the absorbed brother’s sperm, though.

From this, a man who was never born managed to have a child of his own.

So you can see why the raging paternity verification process should be approached with caution and maturity. Imagine if this gentleman had wrongfully accused his wife of infidelity, and maybe exposed her to the innuendo of public condemnation and scrutiny.

Yup! A lot of singletons are

A lot of folks don't even know
this fact.

AgricultureRe: Welcome New Innovation In Catfish Business. by wealthtrak: 1:21am On Jul 14, 2021
Yommiefish:
In efforts geared towards achieving the Federal Government’s Agricultural Transformation Agenda, the Nigerian Institute for Oceanography and Marine Research (NIOMR) has unveiled its most recent innovation in catfish canning, a concept that represents a paradigm shift in fish production.

Speaking at the opening ceremony of the formation of innovation platform for stakeholders in the catfish farming and canning, organised by the institute in collaboration with Forum for Agricultural Research in Africa (FARA), in Lagos, Dr.Gbola Akande, Director General/CEO, NIOMR, stated that the innovation was to effectively engage all stakeholders in developing the aquaculture industry to create jobs; create wealth through value addition, as well as increase fish production in the country.

According to him, utilisation of low value small and medium sized Cat fish will increase the production of catfish in Nigeria. He said: “Canning of this medium size catfish as value addition is currently ongoing as a means of increasing their utilisation for, human consumption, investment opportunities, and product diversification, quality standardisation in the local and foreign markets, and foreign exchange earnings through export of the canned catfish.” Akande noted that the catfish canning project was funded with 100, 000 dollar grant from the Forum for Agricultural Research in Africa (FARA), commending the organisation for its support on the project.

He noted that the objective of the innovation platform for the different aquaculture value chains was to facilitate dialogue between the main local players in the value chain, like the farmers, input suppliers, traders, transporters, processors, wholesalers, retailers, the regulators as well as research and development.

“Innovation platform identified bottlenecks and opportunities in production, marketing and the policy environment. The process is galvanised through discussions on market requirements which include quantity, quality, and the timing of sales, followed by an analysis of existing production strategies.

“The innovation platform identifies and implements technologies to improve production to attain market demand. In a parallel and similar process, the marketing system is analysed and improved to benefit all role players within the local context,” Akande added. In her presentation, Dr. (Mrs.) Mabel Yarhere, Head of Section of Extension Research and Liaison Services, NIOMR, noted that catfish canning is commodity, stressing that there must be cohesion to unite stakeholders for mutual interests. She maintained that the platform must have potentials to meet the interest of stakeholders on board, adding that all stakeholders must have definite contributions to make and benefits to
derive from the platform. Yarhere stated that farmers, employees, materials- resources in the farm, policy makers, government and financial
institutions, as well as the input (fingerlings) suppliers, brood stocks, feeds, water quality equipment and many others are to be managed.

“An idea must be replicable at an economic cost and must satisfy a specific need. Innovation involves a deliberate application of information, values from resources, and includes all processes by which new ideas are generated and converted into useful products. “In business, an innovation often results when ideas are applied by the company in order to further satisfy the needs and expectations of the customers. In a social context, innovation helps create new methods for alliance, joint venturing, flexible work hours, and creation of buyers’ purchasing power.” Yarhere submitted.
