America has gone to the dogs. Never knew that there's already a state in the USA that permits iincest! Add to it the fact that gay relationships just got legalized. We are gonna be witnessing the gradual and steady decline of a once powerful nation. It has begun. |
NaijaFutbol:Makes sense too. Let's look for an easier, less cumbersome way. Oga Spyder880, over to you. |
spyder880:well said, bro. However, from your point I put in bold, here's my submission: You had rightly suggested in an earlier post, on page 3 of this thread, the type of structures to be constructed on respective plots. I actually chose my plot based on this. Here's your post from page 3: "I am proposing to allot plot numbers 22-33, 34-42, 43-52 and 53-55 for those of us who might want to build duplexes. Plot numbers 10-17 for those of us who might want to build bungalows Plot numbers 1-9 for those that might want to build multiple blocks of flats. I will be back with the installment payment plan. Any new suggestion is welcome." Since there has been no suggestion to modify this plan since then, I suggest we maintain it. Mucho gracias! |
Qkay, @OP, here's my question: For a tenant who pays yearly rent and is entitled to 6 months notice, at what time should the notice be served, and deemed legal? Is it after his rent elapses and is due for renewal, or Is it in between rents, i.e, say, about 6 months before his rent elapses? I ask this because I know about someone who pays yearly rent, and halfway into his tenancy, he got a notice to quit from his landlord. He has about 6 more months before his next rent is due. He doesn't default on his rent, pays up regularly. Is this right, or legal? There was absolutely no reason given for the notice. |
Well, I think we know who the illiterate is, in this case. Foolscap is actually correct. Unless you were referring to something else, I see nothing wrong with this. You should at least have consulted a dictionary before pointing fingers. |
At normal times, how many hours per day does she work? The best you can do is to reduce the hours she normally put in. If, for instance, she usually works from 10am till 6pm, have her resume by 10, and close by 2 or 3pm. Reduce her workload, but ensure that her duties for the allotted time are clearly mapped out for her. If she still fails to perform, then she is being mischievous. I have resided in Islamic countries during ramadan. What the government does is shorten the work time for businesses and companies by 2 or 3 hours during this period. BUT EVERYONE STILL WORK. BUSINESSES AND COMMERCIAL ACTIVITIES DO NOT GRIND TO A HALT BECAUSE OF RAMADAN. People just take it easy because energy level is low. The ball is in your court, bro. It's your business, and you have to decide how you want it to be run. |
Oh, really? Do hurry up and buy the jets and luxury cars. You can then sell them to us and make it big! Why bother to teach us for just N20k, when you can become a trillionaire in just a short while? |
You know, whenever I check this thread and realize you just posted an update, it quickens my pulse and gets me excited. I am excited to be a part of this initiative, bro Spyder880. I just love the prospect of venturing into an uncharted territory and dominate it. I got nothing but good vibes about this. By this coming Christmas, the activities here will be mind boggling. By then, the rains would have abated and serious work should be underway, and every brother subscriber at home and abroad will be available to inspect the progress of their respective projects. I'm sure the village folks are already contemplating the conferment of a chieftain title on you ![]() LET'S GET DOWN TO SERIOUS BUSINESS!! |
This land is beautiful... I admire the sort of vegetation that is prevalent from Kogi state upwards till the northern border...especially in places where the trees and plants are allowed to thrive. But I digress...oh yes, the sandstorm! Ah...the sandstorm. Such an awesome sight. It will be over soon. Just as the menace of religion extremism that has ruined this beautiful land is about to come to an end. |
![]() Well, cash (coins) still rules...in sane and strong economies. I remember in 1991 or so, when N1 coin was introduced, and local businesses were swift to reject it. Such a transaction wouldn't have been honored in naija. That man must really have done nothing other than save those coins and dreamed about purchasing that SUV. |
Talk about intolerance! They just had to go and add a gizmo to that section which automatically posts an unwanted and unnecessary declaration (or is it confession) to the profile of any unwary visitor who comments on it. You don't even have to visit their section to get forcibly "recruited", for they occasionally bring their topics to the front page to serve as bait. The religion of peace is on a recruitment drive to enlist more jihadists to their ranks. We are watching. |
@ 9jagirl4re: I don't know where you got that first picture from, but I know it ISN'T a picture taken at the scene of the incident in Owerri. I don't know what your intention is, but it takes nothing away from you if you present your facts objectively. No need to exaggerate. Just in case you are wondering.....I am not a fan of Imo state governor, or any politician for that matter. |
The water table doesn't appear deep, so it wouldn't cost much to sink boreholes. I often wonder what is the duty of LGA chairmen, who always claim to be closer to the people, at the so-called grassroots level? The amount of ineptitude and callousness as a result of corruption in the country is mind boggling. It won't be a surprise to find out that numerous bore-hole projects have been budgeted for, and executed on paper in that LGA. Even N500k honestly channeled for this purpose, will bring a huge relief to the people. |
He serves a living god who encouraged him to gamble ![]() Black people sha! Everything is either the work of the devil, or attributed to God. No one likes to take responsibility for his own action. Enjoy your winnings. Hope you don't come back to lament how the devil made you squander it on drinks and harlots. |
I think its cool to go for 100 plots, with a view that the entire plots would take a longer time to sell off. You might create a phase 1 and 2 of 50 plots each. Momentum will definitely pick up soon as activities commence on d land. Perhaps many potential subscribers are waiting to see how things shape up before making a move. Real estate investors know the importance of buying early and cheap. Moreso, with Spyder880 at the helm of affairs, we are looking at a win-win situation. Ok. Let's have some more inputs. Let's keep the ball rolling, please. |
Nice! I totally identify with these points. #5 is all too real, and even newbie can relate with it. |
spyder880:Noted, bro. I know you will negotiate for the optimal choice. However, I have some reservation over the bulldozer and clearing fee. Considering that the NGN40k fee for this service covers a single plot, isn't it a bit high? Clearing a large swathe of land makes such things more economical, don't you think? My opinion, though. I believe you will clarify this. |
Finally, something is happening. Biko, bros Spyder880, I believe you can make this plot a very standard 120x60 feet. It will be most acceptable. Also make provision for a park or green zone within the estate. You are the man! I don subscribe tey tey ![]() |
Nice. Been waiting for your update. |
This isn't a woman with two heads, as you put it. They are two women with one body (co-joined twin) They have different personalities and separate opinions. So, if you fall in love with one, you must be prepared to put up with the both of them. |

bigtt76:I tell u. That piece of poor and disjointed trash up there is not worth reading. The part about the expatriates sitting "unruffled" in the bus while the action lasted is, to put it mildly, quite ludicrous. The cu.nt who wrote that piece up there must be patting himself on the back. That it was churned out from the desk of one of Nigeria's leading newspapers (vanguard) is absolutely disgusting. |
Men are hard wired to admire things that look pleasant to behold....things that titillate the eyesight and leave sweet feelings in their loins. It's been scientifically proven that these sort of visual exercises can prolong one's life too ![]() It's in our DNA. There is no harm in looking. What you do after "the looking" is what counts. |
Hmmm. Eleyi gidi gan.... Here are some extracts from your posts: The closeness has now become too much. He comes around everyday and he stays with the woman till late night because the husband comes home late everyday. It was so bad that my neighbour had to sack him, but his wife reemployed him. The woman always claim there is nothing going on between her and the boy whereas I have been unfortunate to see more than I can relate on this forum. He even claimed to have met his wife lying down in the living room in her underwear while the teacher was still in the house. I have seen too much between this woman and the teacher that I can't even tell anyone about. Although I have never seen this boy doing the you know with the woman but everything points in that direction. The husband respects me a lot and he listens whenever I talk to him but he won't stop beating his wife until she stops bringing this guy into their home. From your point of view, it is obvious that an immoral affair exists between this teacher and your tenant's wife. As the owner of the property where this couple resides, you have the legitimate right to bar this teacher from setting foot on your property. You need to get a legal order for this. This, in my opinion, is the way to go, without interfering with your tenant's marital life, and avoid the move of evicting them. Just remove this divisive element (lover-teacher) and if the couple wishes to save their marriage afterwards, it's up to them. Avoid making any allegations. It would only backfire. In fact, you saw NOTHING. Your priority is to make peace reign there. Never take sides with the husband or the wife. Play neutral by coming down hard on the teacher. The husband pays the rent, and I think he is also entitled to decide who visits his home. He has decided that the teacher shouldn't come there anymore, while his wife thinks otherwise. So, abide with this man's wish. It also tallies with your own wish, and will serve everyone's interest. Once this teacher has been legally forbidden to visit your property, you have played your part. In the event that lonely wife makes a rendezvous with lover-teacher elsewhere, then let her prepare herself for the inevitable doom. |
Who buys a 40GB external HDD nowadays? For such a small storage space, a thumb drive would have done the job. Thats what the unscrupulous guys at Ikeja did for you...putting a thumb drive in an otherwise empty case, and pass it off as an external HDD. I don't support their treachery, but I don't think you should have gone for an external hard drive if 40GB is all you need. |
It is called politics. The dirtiest and most insincere game mankind has invented yet. Anyone who takes matters with such political undertones seriously, in this geopolitical space called Naija, will need psychological evaluation sooner than later. All that matters to everyone involved is the immediate gains they stand to make. Ask FFK |
daimsy:Your defence lacks any merit. If a contractor defaults, who is meant to call him to order, and penalize him, if called for? Is it the citizens? Or is it the government that awarded the job to the contractor in the first place? The government, of course takes the blame, just as it takes the glory for any project that is fully and well executed. It is the duty of the citizens to hold its government responsible. How the government responds is a different ball game. It is not your responsibility to make excuses for a contractor whom you may not even know exists. Moreover, why would the governor announce on radio that the road has been fully constructed, when it hasn't? We deserve the type of leaders we get. If we can't hold them accountable, they take us for granted. Haven't you realized that any successes recorded by PDP is because there is a restless opposition (APC) that keeps them on their toes? Thats the same way it works for every government. Once it's subjects realize their due, and stop accepting every sort of excuses from it's government, and take stringent steps to hold it accountable, then you see the improvements. I see no reason why anyone should defend the governor over this issue. |
Before you guys criticize her now chubby friend, you should know that someone like Genevieve, who is always on the spotlight, would be more pressured to maintain her physique. Won't be fair to compare her with the other lady who doesn't have to make appearances for TVs and movies. Though Genny had a child many years ago, she's had more than enough time to burn off baby fat, compared with her friend who (not so sure about this) would have had multiple childbirths, and more recently too, than our...em...em...Nigeria's Julia Roberts ![]() |
With all due respect, sir, you can can take all your reasons and shove it........ ![]() Why am I even responding to this?? |
spyder880:Bro, that you responded to this in a civil manner is good. Would have been better, though, if you ignored it. Those among us who have been a part of the process know what is involved and all the nuances. Please carry on. We await your updates |
rheether: Fedric:Your asking this question in response to what rheether posted leaves a lot to be desired about you and your intentions. In simple language; do you have any kind of passion about this course, to make you sacrifice 6 years to study it, or you are only interested in it's financial rewards after study? No university degree or course of study guarantees that you would become rich after undertaking it. Your commitment to it will rather make you forge a path to succeed in it, even where many have failed. Study a course because you love, understand and have the passion for it, not because someone tells you it would be a potential gold mine, or not. |
