Why has he suddenly gone mute, deaf & dumbed over all the insecurity upheavals that has bedeviled the Nigerian Nation for the past five years and still counting Despite, his fake friend promising his gullible zombies, that he was going to lead the battle against insecurity from the front. What is he not telling the world about his acclaimed "Messiah buhari" I still remember, when he was running his mouth prior to the 2015 general elections, that GEJ was a bad luck to Nigeria & that his political friend, a.k.a. Buhari was the Messiah sent by his 419 god. Where is mbaka today
DasaintHope: The NYLF Chairman alleged that the former President in 2014 paid the group N300 million with which they purchased most of their firearms. The Chairman of the Northern Youth Leaders Forum, Rev Elliot Afiso, has claimed that former President Goodluck Jonathan laid the foundation for the festering insecurity, banditry and killings in the country by sponsoring a Fulani group known as "Miyetti Allah Kautal Horre." The NYLF Chairman alleged that the former President in 2014 paid the group N300 million with which they purchased most of their firearms. ex-President Goodluck Jonathan In an interview with SaharaReporters, Afiso noted that President Muhammadu Buhari had been caged and was no longer in charge of the government. He said, "One thing that I want Nigerians to know is that it was in 2014 that banditry started in earnest. This is because, that was when the then President, Goodluck Jonathan, reneged on a gentleman agreement of not seeking a second term. He lobbied the Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association and the Northern Elders Forum, but they refused. "But because he was desperate, he mobilised some people who create "Miyetti Allah Kautal Horre", and he also created the Northern Elders Council, to rival those groups that refused to endorse his reelection ambition. "Recall that he received Miyetti Allah Kautal Horre at the presidential villa and gave them N300,000,000 to gain their support. Unfortunately, Miyetti Allah Kautal Horre used the money to acquire arms. "Don't forget that he was dealing with Fulani people whose cattle have been rustled by Boko Haram terrorists, so they were also desperate to regain their means of livelihood. "Having acquired firearms with Jonathan's gift, they found kidnapping and banditry to be a lucrative business. Also, with a polarised elite group, the bandits began to enjoy the support of some Northern elders. "When you have a one-on-one interaction with some of the arrested kidnappers, they tell you sometimes that they get as little as N5,000 share from a ransom because there's a big boss somewhere." When asked if the current regime of President Muhammadu Buhari was capable of tackling the menace, Elliot replied, "Let me say without the fear of contradiction, the Buhari we knew is not the Buhari we now have. "This is because this Buhari has been caged. The Buhari we knew would not allow any security challenge to last beyond 24 hours. Recall the other time; the President said he was not even aware that the Inspector General of Police didn't follow his orders to relocate to Benue State." The northern and southern parts of the country had been gripped in the paw of banditry and kidnapping for ransoms for years under Buhari. The situation seems to be worsening, with the latest episode being the abduction of more than 600 schoolboys in a boarding Secondary School in Kankara, Katsina State. saharareporters.com/2020/12/13/jonathan-laid-foundation-banditry-formed-fulani-group-and-paid-them-n300million-–

zakim: The Department of State Security Services (SSS) also known as the Department of State Services (DSS), has said that government and security agencies alone cannot tackle insecurity in the country without the support of the citizens especially on intelligence gathering.
The Director General of the agency, Yusuf Bichi, said this on Saturday night in Abuja at the Security and Emergency Awards (SEMA 2020), where the organization was conferred with an award by Emergency Digest, a security tabloid.
The DG, represented by the service spokesman, Peter Afunanya, urged Nigerians to support the security agencies to rid the country of all forms of criminality, rather than point accusing fingers at them.
“We call in Nigerians to support security agencies and government. Security is no longer for government and security agencies, there is need for collaborative efforts and partnership.
“You continue to stay in your comfort zone and continue to blame security agencies for all, but the information that the security agencies need have you brought it?
“All those bad people are part of our communities, they live in our neighbourhood, if you know one, tell the security agencies about them. If you have not done all these, its time for us to have a rethink, it’s time for us to have a change of mind to re-dedicate ourselves to the ideals of building a country that is devoid of any kind of insecurity,” he said.

The minister said that government is currently in the process of reviewing the Cybercrime Act to meet the emerging security challenges of the nation such as terrorism and cyberspace criminality.
Pantami noted that the subject of Cybersecurity has been addressed in the National Digital Economy Policy and Strategy (NDEPS), which focuses on strengthening public confidence in the use of digital technologies and participation in the digital economy.

agwom: The National Chairman of Ulama’u Council of Jama’atu Izalatil Bid’a Waikamatis Sunnah (JIBWIS), Sheikh Sani Yahaya Jingir, has said that President Muhammadu Buhari performed better than his predecessors despite the country’s security challenge.
The cleric stated this weekend during the JIBWIS 24th National Qur’an Recitation Competition in Gombe.
“We have serious security challenges in the country but I believe that the current situation is still better than the previous ones when people were afraid of mingling with one another in any gathering. I am not saying everything is fine, but there is an improvement in the security situation,” he said.
Sheikh Jingir, however, called on the president to re-strategise and fight criminality wholeheartedly.
Meanwhile a political group, Buhari/Osinbajo Campaign Organisation (BOCO), has called on Nigerians to continue to support President Buhari-led government, insisting that the Federal Government was doing its best to tackle the numerous challenges facing the country.
The group’s national chairman, Isa Aminu Bayero, in a statement yesterday, urged Nigerians to endure and appreciate the efforts being made by the Buhari administration to curtail the menace of some unpatriotic elements trying to sabotage the meaningful progress of his government.

Insidenaija: Despite spark in number of killings, banditry and kidnapping across the country, there have been renewed calls for President Muhammadu Buhari to sack the service chiefs, Bashir Magashi, minister of defence says, Nigeria is safer than it was seven years ago, Insidenaija reports.
Insidenaija recalled that, On November 28, over 40 farmers were killed by Boko Haram at Zabarmari in Borno state.
On December 1, the house of representatives summoned the president to brief the lawmakers on his efforts in tackling insecurity — the president, however, failed to honour the invitation which was scheduled for Thursday.
Speaking on a Channels TV programme on Thursday, the defence minister said the Buhari administration has subdued Boko Haram, and urged Nigerians to appreciate the government’s effort.
“The problem of this country is that we always forget too soon. Look in 2015 backwards, 2014, 2013; if you remember the situation in this country. In Kano, 200 people were massacred in the mosque. The Emir of Kano was also attacked. The road from Kano to Kaduna and Abuja were impassable. We had over 20 roadblocks from Kaduna to Abuja. It takes you almost 15 hours to reach where you are coming from. Even in Abuja, there were bombings. Everywhere in Nigeria in those years, you find that there were commotions, no security, people can’t even move,” he said.
“When this government came, you know what we did. In Borno state, about 20 local governments were under capture by Boko Haram. But as soon as Buhari came, they were all subdued and we took over all these things and we even said we technically defeated this Boko Haram.
“No piece of land is occupied by Boko Haram in Borno state,. The only thing normally with the kind of insurgent operation is that they want to surprise you, embarrass you, and do whatever they think that would attract international news or the national news or cause commotion within the environment they operate.
“And that is what they have been doing, and that is why we are trying very hard to adopt tactics and other forms of operations in order to stop this kind of people embarrassing this country.
“We are putting in place everything you can think of, tactically and operationally, in order to return this country to the very peaceful country we know it.”
He added that the forces are stretched, and maintained that Nigeria is not receiving support from some countries it refers to as “friends” on provision of resources to address insecurity.
“At the moment, most people think because of the sporadic attacks here and there, we lost control or we are not doing our best. Most of you know the problem of this country. The armed forces are overstretched,” he said.
“The other thing that we may have gotten, we are not supported by some of these countries we call our friends. They are not ready to give us what we need — with the money we have and everything. But certainly, what I am trying to say is that Nigeria is better than what we were seven years ago.”
The minister also explained that the armed forces are capable of wiping out the insurgents if given the necessary equipment, adding that the Nigerian army is one of the best on the continent.
“In Africa, the Nigerian army should be adjudged one of the best. We have conducted so many operations outside Nigeria. We went to ECOMOG (Economic Community of West African States Monitoring Group); we did the very best we can. We went to Sierra Leone; we did the very best we can and some other places. We are a force that is reckoned with in Africa, but because of the nature of the prolongation of this war, people are getting tired,” Magashi said.
"People don’t even know the principles governing this kind of operation. These operations are not concentrated in one particular place. It is an operation that they hit and run. We don’t even know their bases. Now, we understand the tactics that the best way to fight these people is to get enough intelligence and go out there to fight them and this is what we are doing. Every day, we are getting information and the Nigerian army and air force are always in to see that they are run down.
“Since the beginning of this war, anybody who is watching it will know that Nigerian armed forces are capable of undertaking any operation, given the requisite equipment and the motivation they require to fight this war.”

Today's sitting was scheduled for the hearing of his no-case submission, following the close of the prosecution’s case with nine witnesses earlier on Wednesday, December 9.
His lawyer, Anayo Adibe, was briefing the judge, Justice Okon Abang, that his team had yet to receive the records of proceedings requested from the court’s registry when Maina suddenly slumped.

From Eagle Square where power changed hands in 1999, I have seen many who were present on that day but today, have been forgotten in idle permanent homes of their graves.
I remember how Nelson Mandela walked into the venue and the ovation that followed and with my same eyes I saw him in a casket.
In my eyes Stella Obasanjo rose to affluence and influence and with my eyes I saw her being driven out of power in a casket. In my eyes Desire Kabilla who was also at Eagle Square fell to the bullets of his bodyguard in DR Congo. A former minister of Health, Prof Ransome Kuti was buried. In my eyes Chuba Okadigbo rose, fell and died. Abubakar Rimi and Alex Ekwueme who contested a Presidential primaries with incumbent Obasanjo in 2003 at the same Eagle Square had their funerals organized. In my eyes, "almighty" Tony Anenih called Mr Fix it, laid in-state helplessly in Benin as he couldn't fix death. Prof Dora Akunyili, the strong woman who was everywhere, fell on a street of India. In my eyes, "Evil Genius" begin to wear canvass on an agbada on a wheelchair in Minna as he watches life without his once powerful wife, Maryam. In my eyes Edwin Ume Ezeoke was buried, Gen. Victor Malu's obituary was in the news. In my eyes, a Sultan fell from the sky, the remains of the owner of Bolingo Hotel was seen at Lisa village. In my eyes Bola Ige fell, Suntai crashed and died, once landlords of Plateau and Taraba, Dariye and Nyame walked into prisons. In my eyes, almighty Olabode George went and came out of prisons. Justice Salami heard the news of the death of Justice Katsina Alu. Before me, I saw powerful James Ibori who financed Yaradua's presidential election run like a coward to Dubai where he was extradited and jailed in UK. In my eyes, a Landlord fell in Kwara and a strongman won election in Kogi but never lived to hear his victory announcement.
In my eyes, Azazi reigned and fell, Yakowa never lived to tell a story. Oronto Douglas who was once a powerful man behind the throne was buried. In my eyes, Yar'adua came and fizzled out of power like two of his ministers. In my eyes, I Fejiro Oliver saw the strongman of Ibadan politics, Adedibu, who removed a whole sitting governor and made Obasanjo to come same afternoon for peacemaking, rolled in a mat to the grave In my eyes, I saw Tompolo who was powerful under Goodluck Jonathan, demystified and chased into hiding never to return under Buhari. In my eyes, Solomon Lar that sat that day as PDP Chairman, a symbol of power and affluence was buried on a plateau. In my eyes, tested Bukola Saraki could not win his reelection and now hunted with his properties seized. This was a two time governor and number three man in Nigeria as Senate President now powerless.
While still alive, newspapers carried how once powerful men like Olisa Metuh, Dasuki all turned into vegetables by EFCC. In my eyes, I saw strong men rise and fall very cheaply. If this writeup should teach us anything, let it be known that power is transient. God gives who he wants to give. He says "I will have mercy on who I want to have mercy on". To those of you today in power, where would you be in the next twenty years? In 2039 when names like Buhari, Atiku, Amaechi, Wike, Saraki, Ekweremadu, Tambuwal, Mark, Dave, Onu are mentioned what would that child write about them then?
As we approach life, have it in mind that POLITICAL POWER IS NOT PERMANENT.
