You are not making any sense at all. How will the school, police and Lagos State Government officials carry out their investigations without watching the video. What you quoted is not the Nigerian law, What you pasted is inheritance under customary law which varies from locality to locality. In such cases their marriage was contracted only under the native law and customs. Where the marriage is under the act ( white wedding or registry marriage), succession is first spousal, male or female and it is not subject to any customary laws, as the customary laws will take a back seat. You guys are just being stubborn and refuse to listen to reason. I have pointed out with numerous examples that in most jurisdictions of the world inherited assets is not part of marital assets and is handled separately from common law. I have provided examples from US, I have shown you examples from UK, from where we get most of our common law from. You guys still hold stubbornly to the wrong notion that inherited asset automatically becomes the other spouse's property after death of one of the spouse.

Once again below is the British law on inherited property in marriage.

If for instance the inherited property had been documented and perfected in the later woman's name and she was legally married to the ops father, under the law, the father has first right of claim to the properties.
That does not seem to be the case.

Which law are you talking about? Inherited properties and properties acquired before marriage are not considered marital property to be shared during divorce or automatically inherited by the other spouse in case of death.

It is a Catch-22 situation. The school cannot sack the teacher without taking responsibility. But self-acquittal would cost them so much more. They were not properly advised. This is a school with immense resources. I don't even blame the other children in the video except the one that did the video. Obviously, the other children were not in support of what the two were doing. And you don't expect children at that age to snitch on each other.

I also don't blame the school or the supervising teachers that went with then, except the attempted cover up. You don't expect the teachers to be with the children 24/7, or expect the teachers to sleep in the same room as the students.
