General T.Y.Danjuma had advised citizens to defend themselves ages ago. Even El Rufai after talking with Buhari realised that self help is the only option left for us.

We don't have what can be regarded as police, Army and Air Force anymore.
The Police are more interested in running after yahoo boys (or youths that looks rich). They spend most of their energies and resources pursuing and extorting young men. The other ones not on the streets are acting as domestic help for politicians and big men.

The army are only after oppressing civilians. They prefer to live among civilians in cities where they live very comfortable lives.

The Air Force? Does Nigeria still have an Air Force? How many fighter or reconnaissance planes does nigeria have? I wonder what the day jobs of Nigerian Air Force officers entails, outside beating up civilians.

Labour Laws do not favour even a decent maternity leave. Do you know that women have to return to work 3 months after birth? They cannot even find someone to stay with babies, how much more older children?

If people could keep their kids with them longer, they would, but this your post reeks of ignorance and insensitivity.

You cannot train anyone's child for them. When you start having your own kids, try out this your method and see how successful it is.

Don't mind them they don't have kids yet. When they start having kids and both parents need to work in order to make ends meet (even with both working the ends never meet anyway), either parents can't afford to stay at home with kids. Taking the kids to school as soon as they are weaned is the next best thing to hiring a nanny.

Then you only started listening to Kanu. Kanu of 2014 to 2017 was an advocate of violence. He even went to world igbo Congress to solicit for guns. He hated Yorubas calling them all sorts of names ie Ewedu eaters, Afonja, Bastards. Traitors, demons, etc. During that time there was beginning to be hatred between yorubas and igbos, who hitherto had had good relations for decades. That hatred is yet to subside even today.

He even preached hatred against fellow igbos who did not buy into his ideology. Remember Ekwerenmadu.

Ukraine is not Germany and Japan. Germany and Japan were highly industrialized, educated and rich before the war. So re-building their economy and infrastructure was relatively easy. Ukraine was highly corrupt and struggling economically before the war. It would be difficult rebuilding after the war, even with foreign aid.

Don't compare Soludo with Uzodinma. Uzodinma is an illegitimate governor and does not have the support of the Imo people. Soludo on the other hand was validly elected and is hugely popular. If IPOB goes against Soludo, Anambra people will go against IPOB.

For how long will your friend adjust to the sanctions. If the war stretches up to 6 months and the sanctions are not relaxed, the Russian economy will be in tatters. Add to that the social unrests that will engulf the country. People are quiet now because they are afraid of Putin. When hunger sets in, the fear of Putin will not hold the people back.

I will not want to be in Russia when the riots starts.

Schools were shut down for a reason - to curtain the spread of a pandemic. Schools are usually shut in times of crisis like war, pandemic, social unrest, natural disaster, etc. Why is the taliban shutting down schools and for only girls? Are women that inferior that they don't deserve an education?

I see nothing wrong in their decision.

You must not see nothing wrong with Boko Haram (Western Education is forbidden) also. If so, I hope you did not go to school to be able to write such good English.

You guys are just getting overly emotional. The FG along with most countries of the world are banning or discouraging the killing and trading of donkeys. I know the law on the ban Killing and trading of donkeys had passed through first and second reading, but I am not sure it had been made law yet.

Donkeys that used to be a common feature in nigeria and West Africa is becoming an endangered species. That's how we killed of elephants from West Africa due to Ivory trade.

Even though I sympathize with the guy whose goods were seized by customs. I am somehow appalled that a whole truckload of donkeys (a very non aggressive animal that had helped man to carry load for centuries)were being slaughtered in such numbers for profit.

The guy did not do his due diligence before embarking on the business on such a scale. Forget the papers he obtained. In Nigeria you could get any paper you want for the right amount. The ministry guys are only after bribe.

People had been arrested for trading just a couple of donkeys, and this guy was caught with a truckload. I am sure he was not aware that trading in donkeys in Nigeria is controversial, else he would not have done strong head and would have negotiated with the custom officers (bribe).

I really doubt the guy can win this. The government officials that gave him the papers would deny the papers were genuine when they get to court, as the whole thing looks bad. If NYSC could deny Kemi Adeosun's discharge certificate, what is a few ministry papers.

The Federal Government has described as illegal the trading, slaughtering, and consumption of donkey.
Government, through the Controller General of Nigeria Agricultural Quarantine Services (NAQS), Director General, Vincent Isegbe, stated this yesterday at a press briefing in Abuja.
Isegbe, who explained that country was running out of donkeys, wondered why people would slaughter donkeys amidst chicken, goat, and cow meat.
“Donkey slaughter, donkey trade, donkey meat, donkey hide are illegal business. And that is why when we see, we confiscate or we destroy. Do not involve in anything that has to do with donkey.

“Now, we need to have an understanding of where the answers are coming from. Hitherto, they were doing an illegal business.
“We had engagements with traditional rulers to draw the attention that the business is illegal.
“Government is against it and it is against the law. The people claimed they were not aware. They signed an undertaking with the Quarantine Service not to do it again.
“We sent advertisement on radio and television concerning the illegality of donkey trade. We need to tell the people how to breed the animals, build their houses and improve their genetic potential.
“Yes, some Chinese were arrested and investigations are going on but I do not want to go into the details so that I do not impede the investigations with the police. For now, let us be contented that arrest has been made and an investigation is going on.
The value is very expensive probably that is why people are going into it depending on the size of it it will sell between N30,000 to N50,000 and it can come down as low as N5,000.

The OP should have done his due diligence before embarking on the business on such a massive scale. If he is not careful he will not only lose his goods but also lose his freedom as he could be arrested and prosecuted.
