It is a Catch-22 situation. The school cannot sack the teacher without taking responsibility. But self-acquittal would cost them so much more. They were not properly advised. This is a school with immense resources. I think Chrisland management needs to lead by example by acknowledging their error, fire some top notch management and all the members of staff found culpable, set up a sort of Joint Committee of stakeholders; school and affected parents to help counsel, rehabilitate and discipline the children. This should not have escalated to this point. What a mess.

If they had handled this well, the parents recognizing their own failure as parents and in order to protect their child, would have been relieved. In the end, we want the children involved to turn out well and other children also protected.

In a country where armed terrorists high jacked a train, killed some people and kidnapped over 100 people including high public officials, and the government was not asked to resign. Not even the IG or security officers in charge of that area was fired. And you want fire some people because a couple of minors were having sex. Something that is fairly common in our secondary schools both private and public.

I don't even blame the other children in the video except the one that did the video. Obviously, the other children were not in support of what the two were doing. And you don't expect children at that age to snitch on each other.

I also don't blame the school or the supervising teachers that went with then, except the attempted cover up. You don't expect the teachers to be with the children 24/7, or expect the teachers to sleep in the same room as the students.

This is a result of a wider societal problem than a school problem. There is little the school can do when children don't have proper moral training from the home. The very moral foundation of the Nigerian society is broken.

I didn’t go out to look for the video, it is on twitter, just reading through threads and the video starts playing automatically.
I didn’t like, comment or share or even download to rebroadcast or anything.
I understand producing or sharing child pornography is a big crime and also immoral too.

I fault the people that put out the rape narrative, and that is the cause of this brouhaha. Is the school culpable? Yes. This is because under proper supervision those kids shouldn’t have done what they were found doing. Furthermore, if they didn’t involve the parents of the children involved upon discovery of the incident, that would also be bad of them as well.

Even though I don't want to evonorate the school, it is very difficult monitoring pre teens and early teens 24/7. I have a child who just became a teen and he is almost giving his mother high blood pressure. It takes the combination of 3 of us (my wife, my mum and myself) to monitor him.

When I think about what kids these days are capable of, I become afraid for the future generation. We have thrown morality in the air. Everyone is getting emotional and reacting the wrong way. I sympathise with Chrisland College, they too were confused on how to react, given the very recent Dowen college saga. They should have called a meeting of all the parents of the children and showed them the video. They should also have temporality suspended the students and advice the parents seek therapy.

At that age (10 - 14) children tend to experiment a lot, and its exasperated by Internet and DSTV/GoTV, so parents needs to be extra vigilant on their children. We all played mummy and daddy at that age, but we didn't take it that far.

If this serenio happens, the brothers and sisters of the dead husband would descend on the property before the body is even cold. There are actually cases where the spouse is bound by certain liabilities. This does not work with kids, because a marriage relationship is superior to the other.

Please get some education instead of stubbornly holding on to a misconception. Once again let me educate you - inherited property is not considered marital asset unless either the property was sold and the proceeds used to acquire another property or that the other spouse contributed significantly to the building/upgrading or contributing significantly to the improving of that asset.

Your wife can't inherit a property from her father and boom you become a property owner.
