But the same thing was approved by God in the bible
Numbers 31:17-18 17. Now therefore kill every male among the little ones, and kill every woman that hath known man by lying with him. 18. But all the women children, that have not known a man by lying with him, keep alive for yourselves.
franchasng: Russia should come in with their land troops na and stop bombarding Ukraine from miles away.
Russian military aren't as formidable as you all think, what's saving them is the air raids and missile bombardments from afar. Ukrainian soldiers want them to come in let them fight it out man to man, that's why Ukrainian President have been begging EU to put a no fly zone over Ukraine so Russian troops can come in and conquer Ukraine with their armored tanks and land troops.
With what Russia have displayed in Ukraine, it will take Russia 50 years to defeat Israel if they leave both to battle it out cos Russia rely mostly on projectile missiles from afar and on air raids and Israel have strong air defense system that will neutralize those their missile strikes and air raids. And when it comes to land troops, Israel, Britain, Georgia, Ukraine, France, US, etc are the beasts.
Russian land troops lack coordination and needed high military morale.
Their advantage over Ukraine is the air raids and missile strikes from afar which Ukraine doesn't have
The goal of Putin is not to destroy Ukraine but to overthrow its government, so he is trying to avoid civilians casualties and destruction of physical structures as much as possible.
franchasng: The issue is, Western leaders of today have become more capitalistic and materialistic than before. They are scared of war, they don't want to sacrifice some of their soldiers to bring total peace in their region, they want to rely on just economic sanctions, and since Ukraine isn't an EU country, they feel more less concerned. It hurts
And who told you that sacrificing some of their soldiers would bring total peace to Europe? Getting involved with the war will only expand it and move us closer to WW3. Which will wreck the economy of all countries apart from the unknown consequences of a nuclear war.
helinues: Russia on Saturday declared a partial ceasefire from 7 am GMT to open humanitarian corridors to let residents evacuate from the cities of Mariupol and Volnovakha.
Volodymyr Zelensky said Nato would be responsible for the deaths of Ukrainians due to its refusal to help Kyiv protect its skies from Russian warplanes.
“All the people who die from this day forward will also die because of you, because of your weakness, because of your lack of unity,” he said in a nighttime address.
Nato turned down Mr Zelensky’s request for a no-fly zone to avoid being drawn into conflict with Russia but the Ukrainian president said the alliance “has given the green light” to an escalated Russian aerial campaign.
Vladimir Putin suffered a setback in his war on Ukraine when three Russian commanders were killed after moving towards the front line in what was thought to have been an attempt to restore momentum to the flagging invasion, Western sources say.
Russia continued to intensively bombard cities including Kharkiv, Odesa and Mariupol. Thousands have been killed or wounded and over a million refugees have fled Ukraine so far.
Pure blackmail. Na NATO tell zelensky make him dey make mouth instead of opening up a communication channel with putin? You think any NATO member would risk the lives of their soldiers to fight for Ukraine. He must be utterly deluded. NATO should just be weary that zelensky doesn't unnecessarily drag them into the war by ordering an attack on Lithuania or Poland and blaming it on Putin. Putin knows his limits.
simplesearch: Well, the truth is that every second wife is a thief, an intruder, a trespasser and an adulterer. There is no space for second wife in the new testament; it's one man to one wife till death do you part. Infact both the one who marry another as second wife and the one who accept the offer are guilty before God.
Mark 10:6 But from the beginning of the creation God made them male and female.
Matthew 19:6 Wherefore they are no more twain, but one flesh. What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder.
Whoever you're therefore as a second wife stealing the heart that belong to another and putting asunder what God has joined together shall not be guiltless. So as a second wife you must repent of living in disobedience to God's command, restitute your ways and leave the man's house for the rightful owner. If the man chooses to continue in his immoral ways let it not be on your account.
1 Timothy 5:22 ...................neither be partaker of other men's sins: keep thyself pure.
This command cut across every tradition and religion.
In The old Testament nko? Did numerous men of God not have two or more wives?
I don't want to hear "that's the old Testament" because tithes and Shiloh is in the old Testament too, but you guys will not let us rest with tithes.
Abeg leave her to live her life the way that makes her happy. Pray that someday you too can find happiness.
posty56: lol , Ukraine using every means to drag NATO into this war, but they ain't buying it , if this doesn't teach zelensky lesson I I don't know what would , he has two options.
1) agree neutrality and let this slide or
2) stop whining like a bitch ,and step up your guerrila warfare
Zelensky wants to drag NATO and EU into the war with Russia by force or fire.
DeepSight: The problem I have with what you have been saying is that you have been trying to dismiss the sort of inflation we have experienced from the onset of this administration as nothing out of the ordinary. That, with respect is simply not the case: the change since 2015 has been nothing short of extraordinary. And there are definite policies of this administration which account for it.
My bother I try yo see the forest for the trees. That's the approach I take to all issues. Just like the Ukraine conflict (where I have made enemies both offline and online), I try to look at the bigger picture. Just like in forex trading you have to do a historical (top down) analysis to understand the present.
I have explained time and time again that Nigeria is driving on auto pilot. The economy and every other thing follows the direction of the global wind. Ironically the only leaders that thought of a developmental agenda were Abacha with his vision 2020 and Obasanjo with his economic team. Even though the recommendations were never implemented, at least the plan was put on paper. This is the reason I get annoyed when people start campaigning and fighting for Tinubu, Atiku, et al. What is their developmental agenda for the country, what time frame and how?
Buhari is bad, I agree. Jonathan was also terrible. Ironically, personally my fortune was not changed by one regime or the other. I survive by looking for solutions instead of just complaining and being negative. I get annoyed when all people do is complain, scream on media (both social and otherwise) and blame everyone and everybody, without proffering solutions. What we should be discussing is what we can do to improve the situation. How are we preparing for the worst case scenario to save ourselves and our families. We can scream as loud as we can and insult each other till thy kingdom come, Buhari and his family will be safe and in luxury. Tinubu, Atiku, Okorocha are all secure.
Thinktwicemybro: I understand. But we have not had it this bad. I mean, no plans to even look inward and manufacture. No regard for education hence our graduates are not productive.
Gbam. Q.E.D. Visionless leaders from top to bottom
Thinktwicemybro: You have some valid points but I disagree with you on the perannum inflation rate. I bought bag of cement for 2,500 in 2012, 2014 and 2015. But in 2020 alone I bought it for 3000 to 4700. That's failure of government. Truth is they promised heaven and Earth but have not done anything to improve the lives of citizens.
Inflation is a universal phenomen in an economy with increasing population but stagnated or reducing production. Let's take nigeria for example. Our population rate is 2.5%. That means for an estimate of 200 million our population increases by 5 million every year (and I am not even compounding yet). In 5 years it would have increased by over 30 million. Meanwhile the revenue to cater for these increasing population remains stagnant at best. So what do you think would happen to inflation?
A bag of cement at N2,500 under 12% inflation rate would be N4,400 after 5 years. Remember inflation rate is compounded.
DeepSight: They could have done a better job on it: the attitude seems to have been that it's best to allow the naira to fall. It's not best because the implications and complex consequences are too substantial.
How could they have done it better given our dwindling crude revenue due to fluctuating prices and falling production levels?
To float or not to float (the naira). That is the question.
DeepSight: I dont know what the NBS and other statisticians may have in their books but the street knows as well as I do that there has been a marked and significant change in cost of living - a dramatic and beastly change in fact - since 2015 - same thing also goes for the exchange rate which has a knock-on effect on every other thing when you live in an import dependent economy and yes, the President is responsible for that because managing the economy is part of his job description: the naira could have been better defended.
Believe me the governments had been defending the naira in wrong way for decades and it will eventually come crashing down.
How does the Nigeria governments (and when I say governments I mean all previous governments from IBB) defend the naira. They defend the naira by CBN pumping more dollars into the market. Where do CBN get the dollars? From sales of crude oil. So what do you expect would happen if and when oil prices crash, we are unable to sell our oil or our reserves run out. (I shudder to think how we will survive if oil runs out or a WW3 break out and international shipping is suspended).
Thinktwicemybro: Oga bread is #500 pure water is #250, be suffering and smiling there don't wake up.
It saddens me to always seem to defend the present government. To me buhari is even more useless than Jonathan. At least with Jonathan we had a president who we can talk to, insult and most times he responds. In Buhari we have an absentee or visiting presidents. He shows once in a blue moon and never address or talk to Nigerians directly. Its always the presidency that talks to Nigerians. I don't even think he still resume to his official office in aso rock to actually do some work. Having said that, it's disingenuous to suggest that Buhari is responsible for Nigeria's inflation rate. Nigeria,s inflation rate had hovered between 9% to 12% per annum for decades. And unless we start producing more goods for the same quantity of money in circulation, inflation will continue to accelerate. We need to simply reduced our over dependence on oil and our insane taste for imported goods and services.
Bread will continue to rise because we don't grow wheat or produce flour. So the price of bread (which is expected to double within the next few weeks) will be determined by naira exchange rate and international price of wheat.
As per water. That is in the domain of the state governments. You don't expect the FG to supply you water. As long as state governments abdicate their responsibility to provide pipe water and the cost of imported material and machinery for making pure water continue to increase, a bag of pure water will reach N500.
How do you inherit stuff that's GENERATIONAL, according to you??
When I left the University,I swear, the best...infact,when I was done with my masters in the UK,I can swear you were in primary school, FOOOOL...
See WRETCHED cretin talking..
Peasant arse wipe!
You are a terrible advertisement for British education. You studied up to masters level and you still described Nigerian economy as robust at anytime within the last 40 years. This shows you have no idea of Economics 101.
I also studied up to masters level from a top Nigerian University and debating with you makes me proud of my Nigerian education.
Further more, people with British education are supposed to be better mannered and courteous. You sound like you got your British education in Ajegule. Maybe you obtained an online degree.
raumdeuter: You remember when Tariq Aziz Iraqi foreign minister under Saddam dey claim say US forces were falling and eating grass while Baghdad was hours from falling
The same way Ukrainian army said that they have killed 6000 Russian soldiers in just 4 days of fighting.
ityP: Lmao. You people sef. We get robust economy but a federal government employee no fit buy one bag of rice from him salary Robust economy kee you there
Please go back to school to learn what a robust economy means.
bilulu: What was the court ruling? didn't the governors championed by messenger of daura asked the FG to share the money
The governors championed by messenger of daura cannot ask to share FG's money. The money the governors championed by messenger of daura asked for was the governors share of the oil revenues. The governors championed by messenger of daura did not trust Jonathan to hold their money, as they already accused Jonathan of taking money from their joint account without their consent. The governors share of the federation is only 26%, the FG takes over 52%. Why was Jonathan so obsessed with the governor 26%? Why not save the whopping 52% allocated to him.
ityP: Wow. We have started importing rice, I didn't even know. Una don swear say una no go get sense. GEJ no invest for agriculture but rice na 8k. Buhari invest for agriculture, but rice don pass 35k . Omo. The economics Buharists study eh, e be like na Adamu Adamu dey teach una
And the price of rice is evidence of a robust economy? Arguing with you guys is an irrational exercise.
Thinktwicemybro: Shut up, time of plenty kill you there. For 7 years buhari destroyed a robust economy he met and you are there blaming Jonathan. Abeg go use coconut water wash your head, you need sense.
Robust gini? Nigeria economy that was still only oil based and was virtually on the verge of collapse. You Jonathan's worshippers just like Trump worshippers live in an alternate universe.
bilulu: who took the govt to court so they can share the money between governors?
Did the person ask the court to share the FG's money between the governors? Did the court give a ruling about the case? Did the FG save money that accrued to it?
DeepSight: But the borrowing of this gwament no get part 2 oh. Future gwaments go suffer am. And secondly it was the APC and Buhari who cried and wept the most over subsidy. What has become of subsidy under them?
Gbam.
I was making reference to the person that lied that Jonathan increased our foreign reserves I was not making a comparison of which government borrowed more. Obviously in that competition Buhari wins hands down.
As long as the importation and sales of petrol remain in government hands, there will be always subsidy. But then we have to chose between subsidy with all its attendant corruption and wastes of the country's revenue or accept very high and unstable prices.
SmartPolician: Jonathan was a veryyyyyyyy wasteful leader. Yar'Adua was the leader who massively increased the foreign reserves. Please Jonathan didn't increase the foreign reserves. Instead, he was spending from it and still spending from the excess crude account.
Jonathan made Okonjo-Iweala look so horrible because while the woman was trying to convince governors to save for the country, Jonathan was giving instructions that the money be squandered.
That's why Amaechi and others insisted that the money be shared when Okonjo-Iweala was asking that we save the money.
Just like Buhari, Jonathan, a broke man from riverine Nigeria, saw billions of dollars in foreign reserves and forgot diversification he used to sing like a song.
However, I have to be fair to Jonathan because he was able to revive the railways - something that collapsed before he came in. At least I travelled from Enugu to Port Harcourt in one of the trains in 2014. He also built new universities and almajiri schools, and upgraded the airports.
Just before you think that I am an APC minion (because you people have senselessly divided the entire country into APC and PDP), Buhari is even worse because it appears he doesn't have a brain let alone being able to think.
Gbam. Jonathan was wasteful, Buhari is directionless.
I was shocked shocked when he lied that Jonathan increased the foreign reserves. I asked which foreign reserves? Maybe their personal foreign reserves, but Jonathan depleted the foreign reserves left by Yaradua and was borrowing to pay salaries.
Buhari is a ghost president. Nigeria is being ruled by the presidency.
frozen70: Have you asked her the above questions It's her pregnancy met her deal with it Any girl that can carry a man should be able to carry pregnancy and the baby
So a 23 year old orphan that got pregnant should be forced to deal with it as a punishment for her sins. Have you given a thought to the unfortunate baby? Does the baby also have to deal with it?
See many examples that are also forced to deal with their parent's indiscretions in Kano
frozen70: We guys are callous or she was callous and took in carelessly
So because she took in carelessly you want to use a baby as punishment. Are you not tired of seeing abandoned suffering children's on the streets of Nigeria being portrayed on BBC everyday?
Karnice600: Look at the way the US handled the Cuban missile crisis. They encircled Cuba, creating a naval blockade to prevent Russia from bringing in military supplies and urged Khrushchev to deactivate and destroy the whole setup and sites. They engaged Russia directly. That was very risky, but that solved the issue. They didn't invade little Cuba to correct a Russian action. Even though Castro was as good as a foe, he ruled over a harmless masses, in a sovereign state. The US respected that fact. They faced the cause, and dialogue ensued afterwards. That's the difference between the two Scenarios; the handling.
We are now on the same page. I have always said that Putin's concerns are legitimate, but the way he is going about it is completely wrong. He should not have fired the first shot. He should have threatened and imposed economic and military blockade on Ukraine but never war, unless of course he was fired upon either by Ukraine itself or its western backers. He absolutely has no justification to pull Russia into a war without the support or approval of the Russian people.
If he has done that he would have gotten the attention of the world leaders and the issue would have been negotiated without anyone losing face. Now the die is cast and everyone has dug in. Even countries like Germany and China that was a bit sympathetic to Russia has taken a hard stand against them. No one will back down now. An escalation of the war is inevitable.
Karnice600: Do you think Russia's invasion of Ukraine is justified over NATO'S spread of influence?
Are you aware that sometimes in the 90s apartheid South Africa wanted to build a military base in Equatorial Guinea (next door to Nigeria). What did Nigeria do? Nigeria threatened to invade Equatorial Guinea and that forced South Africa to abandon the idea of the military base. No one will be comfortable with an enemy next door. I think it was under IBB or Abacha, I am not sure.
mybiz234: And that also excuses leaving even American citizens behind? Who is dumb now if not you?!
So, in your own idea of emergency situation, you first remove soldiers before removing your citizens?
You guys know nothing, yet you'll be arguing.
You are dumber than dumb. You want the commander in chief of the armed forces to leave or abandon his soldiers, so that you guys can start cumming in ecstacy at the sight of Taliban beheading US soldiers.
It was an emergency situation. The US administration did not fathom that Taliban would take over Afghanistan in a week without a fight. So the administration had to hurriedly evacuate first the remaining soldiers (remember Trump had reduced the numbers of troops to 2500 before leaving office), diplomatic staff, US citizens and Afghan interpreters in that order. Evacuating Military equipments was not even considered or practical.
