Kingsnairaland:God lied to Adam or should I say God did not explain what kind of death he meant by "You will surely die", because Adam and Eve went on to live over 900 years after eating the fruit. The person that actually told the truth was the devil or serpent. He told Eve that they would not die, but would acquire knowable should they eat the fruit. And knowledge they acquired after eating the fruit and not death. If you don't want your kids to die by drinking poison, you don't put poisoned orange drunk in the middle of their room and instruct them not to drink it no matter how enticing it looks, in order to test their obedience to you. If we all try it, most of us will not have any kids left. |
Perez99:Why will you want to change your father's dressing? If the clothes are dirty, torn or wrinkled, I would understand your concern, but if they are only old, faded or out of fashion, then you are overreaching your boundaries to want to change your father's personality. Our fashion sense is often dictated by the job we do. People that does physically demanding jobs like construction, engineering and jobs that require working outdoors in the rain and sun don't often care about fashion. They just wear cloths that are comfortable. And that fashion sense remain with them for life. Those that work in industries where they have to project an image of success - ie banking, entertainment, hospitality, pastors, media and most administrative jobs. If you are complaining of your dad, what do you want the children of Mark Zuckerberg, Jack Dorsey or Elon Musk to say |
Hakeem3:What's the difference between six and half a dozen? |
zoedew:Glad you do not support Chidinma and her accomplices (assuming she is guilty). I am appalled by people jumping to support her and make ridiculous excuses for whatsoever emotional reason (ie, she is "our sister" or she is a vulnerable girl). She looks like a cold, calculated and heartless murderer. However, I see differently with you as to whether it is my business to discourage sex outside marriage and the practice of keeping multiple sexual partners considering that the repercussions of such conduct impacts on the society in economic and social terms not to talk of the avoidable stress it brings on the health sector. Sure you have heard of AIDS that has been in the nature of an epidemic and a major cause of death www. One major way it spreads is via the keeping of multiple sexual partners and sex outside marriage. Good for you to know that doing a postscript on a murder does not necessarily make one unsympathetic about the unfortunate event. One who gets killed via over-speeding and crass disregard for The Highway Code will have the truth told about the cause of his death after he’s long gone so the living can learn from the event. That would not make the FRSC unsympathetic as the road safety body makes and shows to fellows inclined to such conduct (so they can be sober at the wheels) the videos of the accident scene where mangled bodies are extricated from the metal body of the abused vehicle. Got that?Believe me it's still not your business how others live their sex lives - AIDS, hepatitis, syphilis and all. We all have our individual choices to protect ourselves or not. Those that go raw should be ready to bear the consequences. In accidents due to overspeeding, the driver is endangering others without their knowledge or choice. In sex, you have a choice not to engage in it or protect yourself (except it a case of rape). So the blame and consequences is on the parties involved. Sex is a very personal affair - morally or otherwise. Ataga and Chidinma's sex lives is not on trial here, we are talking about murder. If you hate premarital sex so much, then you are free to preach against it to your family, church members and friends, but there is no correlation between premarital sex and murder. People get murdered for a variety of reasons - greed, relationships, envy, jealousy, etc. Premarital sex should never be a justification for murder. |
Frankiss44:Yes the price increase has been twice this year. That's because there was a moratorium on price increase the first term of Buhari for political reason. Now that Buhari is not seeking re-election he can now allow price increases to catch up with agreed yearly increases. |
Frankiss44:Yes. They are to increase tarrifs yearly according to inflation among other factors, and you know Nigeria's inflation rate is between 10 - 15%. |
zoedew:It's not your business whether men and women alike engage in sex outside marriage. It a personal and moral decision of each person. You are not the moral policeman if Nigeria, and i doubt you are bokoharam or ISIS. Ataga or Chidinma can satisfy their sexual desires whichever way they like, as long as they did not break any law. First adultery is not a crime, even if it is murder is not the punishment, even it is, Chidinma was not appointed the executioner. You are simply a religious bigot with no sympathy or empathy for someone murdered in cold blood. |
teepain:We have not escaped the stupid P&ID case where nothing was sold but Nigeria is asked to pay billions of dollars and you want government to cancel a sale that's over 10 years |
Frankiss44:Will the government body that is suppose to regulate their activities do so outside existing laws or terms of the agreements? |
backbencher:Not only Nigeria, but the world over. It's in fact the nature of humans to want things free or very cheap. Even billionaires avoid paying tax and are very shrewd with money. But the thing is, if government had brought in price controls for the GSM sector, or price controls for the food sector...we won't have had things like home internet, and food scarcity would have been the order of the day.Agreed, but essential things like food, power and fuel cannot be allowed to increase dramatically, else you will have social unrest. If fuel is allowed to double overnight like it happens here in Europe or the Americas, there will be riots the next day. A government must learn to control inflation, especially of essential products like food, fuel and power. A lot of Nigerians have this idea that making a profit is bad or that profit made goes into someone's pocket. Profits go into making improvements and paying for salaries...which have to rise from time to time or else.Agreed, but government must find a way to manage the greed of the capitalists. If not the capitalists forming monopolies and oligarchies would strangle the masses with excess profit, thereby causing problems for the government. |
backbencher:No matter how much you explain, children born into hate will always scream APC, Buhari, Yoruba, etc. They don't care to know details of the issue or solutions to the problem. All they exhibit is negative emotions and hate that doesn't address the issue at hand. The problem I have with the privatization of NEPA was not even the laws establishing the Gencos and discos, it's the people that it was sold to. The companies the PDP administration sold the electricity companies to have no competence whatsoever in power sector and was not ready to invest in the sector. So despite government having sold NEPA for peanuts, it still have to continue investing billions in power generation and distribution apart from paying billions in subsidies. |
AsampeteNwaanyi:Senseless and hate filled |
AsampeteNwaanyi:You people always find a way to tribalize everything. You use every news to display your hatred for Yoruba no matter how irrelevant. It was the igbos that voted in the other useless party that sold away NEPA or was it PHCN to useless and incompetent people under stupid terms. It's was the PDP government that the igbos are ready to die for that input yearly tarrif increases into the agreement with those they sold NEPA to. So unless the terms of the sales agreement is renegotiated or the agreement itself terminated, the tarrifs will increase yearly with inflation and dollar rate. |
airoport:What evidence do you have that Babalola Disu has any link to the murder? |
ogwumgbe:That's why the case is in court. To prove whether she is guilty or innocent. Mind you she is supposed innocent until proven guilty They should prove beyond doubt that she's the culprit before prosecuting. Also forensic analysis should be involved. How can you prove beyond doubt that she is the culprit before prosecuting? Prosecution is to prove her guilt or not. You are not making any sense. What was the case of the corpse when he was found on Wednesday, an intruder could have murdered him on wednesday to heap the blame on Chidimma. A day corpse according to the security supposed to have swollen and be smelling. If the corpse was still fresh by the time it was discovered, Chidimma has no caseYou are just desperately trying to defend her probably because she is "our sister", and you are doing a terrible job of it. Chidinma according to the guard left alone on Tuesday night, the body of the murdered man was found Wednesday morning, and you are making stupid excuse about the corpse supposed to be swelling but is still fresh by the time it was discovered, thereby chidinma is innocent. I think you better take over from her lawyers. |
Rexymania:And who has been changing stories? The only person changing stories in the media is the murder suspect herself, who has changed her story 3 times. She is likely going to change her story again under oath in court. This is the first time we are hearing from actual witnesses. And we have not heard the testimony from the police. |
barcaboi:Don't mind them. They see conspiracy in every thing. They are so negative, I wonder how they function in real life. |
kponkedenge:What do you mean this case dragging on for so long. The murder took place June 15, the police had to conclude their investigations before arraigning the case in court. Remember judges go on a 2 months break from August to October. Even in the US police don't just rush cases to court, they take their time to conclude investigations. |
Moferere:The penalty for murder is execution by hanging. She is facing the death penalty. |
Kaiser20:The penalty for first degree murder is the death penalty. |
truthCoder:The time stamp says 17:01 to 17:07, that's 5:01 to 5:07 in the evening. How this is midnight is beyond me. It's just a poorly scripted, poorly acted and poorly edited skit. |
KillIgbohoN0W:You need OTP to collect specta loan from Sterling Bank. |
Shalommy:He is playing mind games? How did you reach that conclusion from the OP's post. The man said what he wanted from the word go. He did not lie about his marital status. Even though she said no, but she laughed about it. He strung the man on for 4 years, accepting gifts and money from him and occasionally going to shop and cook for him. Now all of a sudden, she tells him she is off to get married? Now who is manipulating who? Will she continue the relationship with him after she marries? |
OChimex:It seems you don't understand the nature of Nigerian girls. Nigerians girls usually start out by doing shakara before they eventually agree to date you. They expect you to beg, spend tons of money on them and meet their whole family before they agree to a relationship. Some believe in making the guy work hard to get them to prove they are not cheap. The man probably thought the lady was playing hard to get. |
Shalommy:How is the man ruining her happiness? Is it not the lady that is ruining his happiness? |
Annabelle12344:Why would you tell him that you are single and I can't marry a married man, and then laugh laugh about it. It shows that you were not serious about what you said. Years passed, he became so close to my family and everybody around me. He comes to my house, gist with my mum, siblings and my family members are very accommodating. Why will you be so close to a man, you have no relation or no intention to have relations with? It doesn't make any sense? How do you explain your relationship to your mum, siblings and family members? In my family, even as a young man, bringing a girl to my house was a taboo, unless when I got old enough for marriage. Once I brought a girl home, she was already considered my wife. What kind of family welcomes an older married man to visit their daughter in the house? You help him out with his cooking and shopping? Why? What happened to his wife and family members? Was his wife aware you were doing "wife duties" for her husband. Even if we take your word for it that there was no physical cheating, what you did was emotional cheating, which is as bad. This was because you denied his wife and children his attention and emotional bonding. You knew he loved you and never stopped asking you out, you continued encouraging him for 4 years. Why? Most probably because you and your family were exploiting the emotional vulnerable man for financial benefits. This man have been so good to me, but now, I want to get married and he's so angry with me, he appears so hurt and heartbroken. He's behaving as if I betray his love. He's acting as if nothing mean anything to him any more. He almost lost his job last week due to lack of concentration. He takes his job carelessly now,How did you introduce him to your boyfriend and now fiancee? I am sure as an uncle. If you told your boyfriend the truth, he would have insisted you stop the relationship or he leaves. I am sure he would suspect you or he would frown at you exploiting the man. To me you were manipulative and wicked. Make sure you tell your fiancee everything before the marruage, so you two can deal with the issue to avoid trust issues. The foundation of a good marriage is trust. |
NaijaSumi:Now answer this, if your ancestors were enslaved by India, which God will you be worshipping today? |
tammyf:Can't the same be said for Orunmila or Obatala? If after death you find out Obatala is false, what have you got to lose? But if Obatala is the true God, then you have everything to lose. |
Gaabasky:The same foreign religion you follow did blood ritual and some other stuffs in the beginning. It was later that the physical blood was replaced with spiritual blood and wine. Till today the symbol of Christianity is Jesus (the Christian God) dripping and drenched in blood. And purification required the drinking of substitute blood in the form of red wine. Traditional religion too will in time substitute real blood with spiritual blood. |
tammyf:Which most high? O the God of your slave masters. |
TimeTraveller:Impact on Lagos Property market will be minimal. The Fourscore Towers was a project that should never have been allowed in the first place. It was allowed due to the greed and corruption of the Lagos State Government. Ikoyi was designed by the British administrators as a low density high value elite residential area. How and why the Lagos State Government started approving the building of high rise is the height of irresponsibly. Ikoyi was supposed to be the Beverly Hills of Nigeria. They have turned it to high density area like Victoria Island. The first and only high rise building in ikoyi was Reeve Road Towers. It was recently all manner of high rise flats starting springing up in Ikoyi. Greed and lack of planing is the bane of the black man. If you live abroad and you want to build, abeg come Naija come supervise your project o! No send any nigga your money, not even your father. Take leave from work, come home, supervise am to the level wey ya money reach and go back to hustling. Repeat the process until you complete the building. The project did not collapse because the owner did not supervise the project. In fact the building collapsed because the owner assumed the role of the engineer and went against the advice of the original engineer that designed the engineering part of the project. It is not possible for the owner to supervise and manage such a huge project, even if he is present on the site 24/7. Project owners need to spend money to hire competent and reputable professionals. |
Factfinder1:A people that forgets their culture and instead adopt those of their slave master will forever remain a slave. |
