jumper524:Why didn't kuda question him before reporting him to EFCC? |
larryking540:Even though we don't use dollars, our earnings and budget is denominated to dollars, since we are mainly importing nation. Besides our main export commodity is sold in dollars. When I said $10,000, I am talking about its equivalence in local currency. If you travel abroad, you are told to declare any currency above $10,000 or its equivalent in other currencies, so you can be questioned on its source. |
larryking540:To a business man 800k transaction is small money. I am talking about turnover and not profit. Questioning every transactions above 800k will stifle business. Most countries start to raise eyebrows on transactions over $10,000. |
Trumann:That's what I am trying to explain to them. There should be a know your customer policy, whereby the bank or financial institution interacts with the custoner in order to get clarity about suspicious transactions. Going directly to EFCC without asking the customer is bad business strategy. |
larryking540:Yes going to EFCC is not a crime, but going to EFCC over 800k is ridiculous. If every transaction over 800k needs to pass through EFCC, the EFCC would not be able to cope. Such transaction only needs the operator to fill a form by the bank stating the source of the money. Banks, financial institution and high value transactions have a form for customers to fill in case of suspicious transactions. Kuda should have questioned the customer on the nature of the transaction before going to EFCC. |
excanny:Prove how he got 800k? Have EFCC ever asked politicians and their cronies how billions move in and out of their accounts? I am not against EFCC questioning large unexplained money transfers, but 800k is only directed at poor struggling guys. They don't raise an eyelid to the theft by big guys. I am sure that at the end of the day, the EFCC guys would ask for something from the 800k. |
SmartPolician:Clear his name over N800k? That's less than $1,600. Many online jobs earn that in a day. |
kollinz1234:What makes APGA different from APC and PDP? Is in in ideology, performance or character? APGA has been in charge of Anambra for 16 years, what has been the result? Is Anambra different from states ruled by PDP or APC? I wish Ipob can channel all their energy to take control of the party, they would have been able to make the party dominate in the south east at least and from there they can spread it to the south south and muscle it into the southwest, before you know it, it will begin to encroach into the north and the whole country will now accept the party. But for now, Ipob is only reduced to sit at home :-You are expecting too much from IPOB. IPOBs strategy is first insults, then threats and finally propaganda (crying victimization to UN,US, Israel, etc). They will give sit at home order one minute, boycott Nigerian elections the next minute and than in the very last minute, rescind the sit at home order. How they want to make political change without engaging in politics in beyond me. |
My problem with the story is why didn't he sue the hotel? Since he had the receipts of the bills he incurred and can prove that the accident was as a result of direct negligence/ incompetence of the hotel, why not contact a lawyer and sue. He is entitled to compensation for money spent, income lost and psychological trauma. |
toprealman:The reverse is the case. He failed the system. He felt he is more knowledgeable than the engineers and consultants. He felt bigger that officials of Lagos State Building Control Agency and other regulatory agencies who questioned the safety of the building and sealed it. |
Brushless:You anxiously have know idea of how project management works. The contractor is only one member of the construction team. Other members are the Architect, the structural mechanical, and electrical engineers, the project manager, and a host of others. During construction of projects of such magnitude, site meetings are held every week or at worst every fortnight. |
SlyfoxxjReturns:He was making £1000 commission on each suit and he could not afford an actual office? He was operating the whole 6 years from a mobile office ( meaning his car). so how much was the actual cost of the Italian suits? And was he the only one selling shoes and suits in London? It's obvious he was involved in some sort of money laundering business. |
timesup234:It the building was not given to a quack, how come it collapsed like a sand castle during construction, even before any active load due to occupancy was added? I am waiting for you to tell me it's providence or God's will. |
timesup234:What do you mean by "No single substandard material was used" are you a structural engineer or architect? A quick glance at the collapsed building shows substandard materials. The concrete mix is way wrong. The steel rods did not adhere to the concrete meaning the steel rods are substandard. The type of sand used looks like very fine plaster sand instead of very coarse sharp sand. The wreckage resembles a collapsed sand castle. |
Guestlander:I stopped taking the OP serious after reading point no. 4. He is just reeling out conjectures from his head. He provided no references or sources whatsoever. I have read General Obasanjo "not my will" and "my command" and no where did it state that the coup plotters were out to kill Fajuyi. Every source I have read said that Fajuyi was killed because he refused to give up Ironsi. So I am waiting for the OP give us his own source. |
Vinnie2000:Sad Nigeria is gradually slipping into a religious fanatics haven while becoming the corruption (both morally and socially) headquarters of the world. In Nigeria young adults get physically abused for attending parties, drinking alcohol and now twerking. Small time women would start getting stoned to death for adultery. |
BluntTheApostle:The problem with you guys is that you see tertiary education as an extension on secondary education. It is not. It was supposed to train adult on various disciplines to help provide practical solutions to problems of society. A university student is according all the rights of an adult. That's why in some countries you need to be an adult (or almost an adult) before you are admitted. As long as you are not stripping in a class room or public space, you are well within your rights to strip, have sex, smoke and do adult things within your private spaces with the campus. Mind you some campuses are a whole town on itself With what I read here, Nigeria is on its way to become thr next Afghanistan. All that is required now is for a Taliban like group or a Christian fundamentalist group to take over government. |
Beverlyjean:And the thieving politicians, the morally bankrupt traditional rulers, the scamming pastors and the 419 youths are good pointers for the next generation. |
CrownOfClay724: That's your personal feeling. Your feeling does not reflect the feelings of others. If she wants to be a stripper, there are strip clubs to go to. No be to turn school to whorehouse.Stripping is not restricted to strip clubs according to the constitution. Twerking is obviously not crime according to university guidelines when gaining admission. Besides our universities are already whorehouses as most female hostels have become brothels. Her twerking has nothing to do with her academics. Cubana should getat if he don't know what to do with money.Cubana is trying to encourage a young promising exorbitant youth to continue her education, while moral Cape crusaders are happy to kill that dream. |
Zidoh:You are putting the cart before the horse. You are talking about job creation first before you start talking about infrastructures that will make job creation possible. You are talking of job creation on 5000 MW of electricity. How many jobs can 5000Mw create? Which skill worker does have? Which type of skills does Nigeria have? Modern skills or archaic administrative skills? Is our educational system designed with modren skills in mind? I am in the job market looking for qualified bakers and chef for my wife's eatery. For 6 months now we have not found a skilled baker. I am not talking about paper. qualifications, we have interviewed plenty of those, I mean a baker that understands the practical aspect of baking. |
The irony is that we have been 200,000,000 for the past 10 years. As we dey born 5 million every year, we no suppose don reach 250,000,000 by now? How come year in year out, we remain at 200,000,000. |
Zidoh:Where is the power, roads and infrastructures to drive the industries that will create the jobs? Where is the education and skills that will create the jobs? |
galaxy2020:Not only north o. Go to an average maternity clinic in the south, you will see women giving birth per second per second. And we are not even talking about women giving birth at home or traditional nursing homes. It's a general problem. |
Vice President Yemi Osinbajo (SAN) has said the population of Nigeria currently is 200million, increases by five million annually. That's the total population of over half the countries of the world. Countries like Denmark, Singapore, Norway, Finland have barely 5 million population. Uncontrolled Population increase might be the single most serious problem that will destroy the country. It is the single most important issue that is responsible for our rising poverty rate and thus insecurity. With a population growing at 5%, inflation growing at 14% and then economy growing at a measly 2%, disaster awaits us in the near future. Only IBB attempted to control population with the "one woman four children" policy. That was when the population was about 88 million. Even at that it was not implemented. The present government needs to declare a population emergency and start taking drastic measures instead of just complaining. |
LilMissFavvy:Which argument fo you stand by? You simply make a claim without any basis. You now imagine an assumption in your head that atheists interested in joining cult organizations would lie and claim to be theists to gain admission. And based on that your imagined assumption you have proven that 99% of atheists are cult members. I still ask, how many atheists have you encountered personally in your entire life? Nigeria consists of over 99% theists and I doubt the total number of professed atheist in Nigeria is up to 2 million, mostly found in universities or graduates of universities. Where you have encountered thousands of atheists to jump to that conclusion is a mystery to me. Except of course you want to tell me you are a cult member yourself and somehow closet atheist members open up to you that they are truly atheists pretenting to be theists. A secondary school was recently closed down due to cult activities and this somehow confirms that the students are atheists? How do you link the two? |
LilMissFavvy:Negative effect of watching too many nollywood movies. Too many misconceptions and ignorance in your post. Google the definition of atheism to begin to get the meaning of atheism and the different types of theism there are. Although there are spiritual atheism, that is more common in eastern religions ie Buddhism and Shintoism. Only a few percentage (less than 10%) of self professed atheists in the West believes in spirits and spiritual powers. Where did you get your outrageous statistics that 99% of atheists are also members of various cults? How many atheists have you surveyed and how many cults do you know? I can confidently state that almost all Ogboni, ARMOC, Free Mason, illuminati members are theists - mostly Christians. |
Workch:You mean he is now resorting to violence like his Arab brothers? Why resort to violence because of your God? He must have insecurities surrounding his beliefs. |
Dtruthspeaker:Believe me, you have serious issues. You speak with arrogance, while the words betray ignorance. You CHOSE HIM, because that was the only option you were presented with at birth. Others presented with other options naturally liked other religions. Your conclusion that his home (meaning his parents) are not true Christians just because he (one child) chose to rebel is an insult. His remaining siblings might be pastors. I have seen children of senior pastors rebel and renounce Christianity. Most times even children of G.Os are rebellious. |
Dtruthspeaker:Shear arrogance. You mean to tell me you were born into a people who are true christians, but he was born into a people who are fake Christians? No true Scotsman fallacy. |
kingxsamz:Christianity is Judaism season 2, whereby the narrative was twisted to suit the Roman Empire aka the Gentiles. Islam is Judaism season 3, whereby the same narrative was twisted to suit the Arabs. Christianity was formulated by Paul as a result of visions or apparitions of Jesus. Islam was formulated as a result of visions or apparitions of angel Gabriel. |
hupernikao:Obviously. Your environment and exposure determines our beliefs and direction in life. But don't judge the world with the eye of your estate and exposure. Then what else can you judge the world with if not with your eyes, ears, senses and exposure? Dreams, inspirations and revelations? Mind you Dreams, inspirations and revelations are shaped by our experiences and exposures. Your knowledge of what Christianity is need a total overhaul. Please teach us your own knowledge of Christianity so I can stand corrected. |
Workch:100% ke? I would say 1000%. The Christian God that was born as a man without the Y chromosome ( i still wonder how he got the features of a male with only X chromosome), lived like a man, was tempted by the devil, was beaten by a mob and eventually killed by Roman authorities. He now woke up again after 3 days ( actually a little over 30 hours) and continued living like nothing happened. Eventually he was taken physically to heaven (or is it space) and we are to await his retrun from space. Meanwhile we are to give tithes and offerings along with our brains and minds to his priests ( or is it pastors) so that they can enjoy heaven here on earth, while we await to enjoy our own rewards in heaven after we die. There has not been greater scam that that in the history of humanity. |

Born into a people who go regularly go to church does not make you a Christian.
