Agboriotejoye:First of all Christianity cannot be tested, else I will tell you to test it for me by drinking a bottle of sniper and live to tell about it. Science beliefs are based on physical evidence. The beliefs are explanations for repeated tests and experimental results. Science has nothing to do with morality, that's the purview of religion. |
Agboriotejoye:Religious texts has no basis, it is simply based on force of cohesion and imposition. It appeals to the simple mind, answering all answers to complex problems with very few simple answers. Science on the other hand is painstakingly laborious. It took centuries of enquiries, experiments and tests to arrive at conclusions, which are most times not even sacrosanct. Better tests and experiments might render prevailing theories and explanations obsolete. It's a never ending quest to understand our physical universe and reality. Most people that is interested can test science and scientific theories. In schools and universities, you not only have text books, you also have science practicals to demonstrate and prove what is written in text books. |
Adjovi:False man could not have lived with dinosaurs. The dinosaur carvings and legends of dragons were based on dinosaur bones found by primitive man. As man has problems with dealing with the unknown, they build up various legends and fabled creatures to explain unknown skeletons of animals of bygone age. |
maak400:But your biblical fables aare based on founded history? Who told you dinosaur dating is based on carbon isotope? No the earth is not millions of years old, it's billions. I know to you its less than 10,000 years. Ignorance on display. |
RealMrNigerD:If you that made the claim don't have time to look for the source, how come you expect me to have time to look for it for you? If blacks truly commit 55% of all crimes in the US, should that not be a source of concern for you, if you are black? Should the black academia and intelligentsia not study the root cause of the problem instead of using it as a weapon to denigrate black Americans in general? So what do you think is responsible for the disproportionate high crime rate in black American communities, and do you think that justifies the disproportionate white on black violence that is growing in the US? |
Abbeybailey:You think his cult worshippers know that? They think Trump is a God. |
RealMrNigerD:I reread the your modified post several times and I am unable to locate the link. Please highlight it so I can click on it. No one is claiming to be informed about police brutality, only you are, and you are refusing to share that information. People are only reacting to what they see and read on social media and the news. |
900warriorz:How can we when we eat white food, wear white cloths, speak white languages and worship white Gods. We crave white skin, white hair and white physical features. In fact blacks hate other blacks including themselves. |
Goldmaxx:But when Buhari wants to censor social media, you guys will cry like newborn babies. It's then you remember press freedom. Don't worry, US will soon be competing with China and North Korea in terms of press freedom. |
RealMrNigerD:What's stopping you from linking the data? You are arguing here, there and everywhere. You first assert that you know more about police "brutality" on blacks has been going on even before Trump, then in the same sentence say that it's the lamepress that is creating the racial divide, and that more whites suffer Police brutality than blacks. No one is saying Police brutality started with Trump, what people are accusing Trump is not condemning it when it happens. He either shrug it off or use the both sides arguments which his supporters so love to emulate. Have you ever seen trump publicly condemn white on black violence? |
GamalNasser:I am sorry to say, but you are one sick dude. You have no iota of humanity in you. Even animals as low on the evolutionary ladder as rats and hamsters have sympathy. You mean you watch that horrible video of life being snuffed out of a human being and the only emotion you feel is hatred for Democrats? The Democrats arranged 4 white guys to murder a blackman, so that white supremacist can be blamed, and in extension Trump and Republicans can be blamed? You don't even care about the fact that the murdered man has a family - a father, and husband, a brother and a fiancé. So from what you are insinuating, either the 4 white policemen are Democrats and are in on the hoax, or the 4 policemen were dismissed unjustly and should be recalled and commended. |
FlordFlorez:The confusion is that there is a difference between US and UK connotations. The US billion is 9 zeros. meanwhile, the UK billion used to be 1 million million which is 12 zeros, until they changed to the US system in the 70s. For example, the US 1100, 1200, 1300, etc., eleven hundred, twelve hundred, thirteen hundred, and so on. |
FlordFlorez:It's good you have interest in science, astronomy to be specific, but you need to get your facts right. Read more and wider. The earth cannot be older than the sun, as the same accretion process created both at about the same time. The sun is not expected to exhaust it's hydrogen fuel in the next 8 million but the next 4 billion years. The sun is a medium sized yellow dwarf star that his only half way through its life span. If the sun should starts the dying process by expanding and shedding off its outer layers, all the planets in the solar system would be affected. You cannot emigrate to Mars or any other planet. |
TheGoodJoe:It's because you probably don't have a weak heart or any heart condition. Chloroquine is risky for people with heart conditions. Prolonged use of chloroquine also damages the eyes. Have you every taken chloroquine for more than 3 days at a time? Trump says he took chloroquine everyday for 2 weeks. Do you know the health implications of prescribing chloroquine as a prophylactic for the general population? It will be a disaster. |
Ishilove:Yes my dear. That's why it's called a marriage. Otherwise, you two should have been living as boyfriend and girlfriend without the need or trouble of signing a contract to "love honour and obey" and "till death do us part". It seems most Nigerians enter a marriage contract without even understanding the meaning of marriage. In addition; the husband too must inform his wife before making any major expense that might affect the fortunes of the family. It will be wrong for the man to buy an iPhone 11 for his sister, while the wife is using Itel A20. |
Eastlink:You've got so many things mixed up that I don't even know where to start. I am from NTA family, so I can tell you about the evolution of television, videos and films in Nigeria. Prior to FESTAC77, there were no commercial recording and playback appliances in Nigeria. Only NTA had what was called AMPEX in the 60s and U-Matic in the 70s. The first commercial recording and playback appliance was Sony Betamax. Later VHS took over with VHS around 1980. So how could movies be made and and sold to Nigerians before the coming of Sony Betamax? Even abroad prior to the late 70s films were made only on celluloid. Hubert Ogunde made films on celluloid and showed it in cinemas halls all over Nigeria. I remember him coming to University of Ife in the late 80 and showed Aiye. Nollywood started making films when igbo traders started selling and dealing with VHS tapes. The Things fall apart that was released in 1987 as a 13 part series shown on NTA was the real first movie with actual locations sold on tape to Nigerians? You obviously have no idea of what you are saying. |
Abbeybailey:It's not that Nigerians are passive, the problem afflicting Nigeria and Africa as a whole is the twin evil of religion and tribalism. Religions leaders conspire with political leaders to pacify the masses with pacifist and submissive doctrines. They both milk the masses of their resources. This lead to situation where the people are taught to put their fate in the hands of God or miracles. Tribalism is a weapon that is used to shield our leaders of any wrong doing. I call it "she is our sister syndrome". When ever a leader commits a crime, his tribe is ready to protect them, because he or she is from our tribe. They justify it by saying that when crimes are commited by other tribes, they are not punished. |
Jasparrow1:I agree Nollywood belongs to the igbos, but film making in Nigeria was pioneered by the Yorubas. Besides, Nollywood is beginning to lose its relevance as video and films are going online. Online streaming service and YouTube is gradually taking over. |
Jasparrow1:Yorubas pioneered the movie industry. When Hubert Ogunde was making films in the early 70s most Nollywood actors and producers were not born yet. |
budaatum:I cannot like your post enough. A people get the leaders they deserve. |
post=89915877:Although at first glance it sounds like a brilliant proposal, but on close introspection it's not a good idea. The main reason being that of scale. It's very difficult comparing two entities with very different scales. It's like comparing a river and an ocean and asking which one has the bigger, smaller, finer or numerous fishes. Let me explain further. The total landmass of the 5 eastern states is approximately 30,000 square kms while the total landmass of the south west is approximately 80,000 square kms. The south west is more than 2 and a half times bigger than the south east. Obviously the south west will have more developed areas than the south east, at the same time it will have also more undeveloped areas and slums. There would more roads, bridges, schools, hospitals, stadiums, etc., simply because of size alone. If we are talking about more modern structures, the south east capitals should have a lot (i still doubted the number would be more than that of south west), simply because most of the cities of the East were destroyed in the aftermath of the civil war and most structures had to be rebuild (the Nigerian state failed woefully to rebuild the infrastructure). Most of the houses were build after the civil war and thus more modern. In the south west you will find lots of colonial and even pre colonial structures still standing. Lots of its capital still have the colonial look and feel. It's like comparing an ancient city Rome to modern cities like Singapore or Dubai. |
Therapyken:Clinton that had been engulfed in sex scandals through out his career culminating in the Monica Lewinski scandal that led to his impeachment does not qualify him a sex machine? What of Trump that has had 3 marriages, multiple relationships, over 25 sex abuse allegations, known to patronise prostitutes does not qualify? What of Obasanjo that has no idea of the actual number of children fathered by him. He was even accused of sleeping with his daughter in law? Should we discuss the sex lives, sports stars, music stars, actors or business moguls? Highly successful and motivated people exhibit very high sexual energies among other energies. You will be surprised that even highly successful pastors and Reverend fathers exhibit higher sexual energies than Solomon of the bible, it's just that it's hidden and covered most of the time. |
Therapyken:Press reports of various sex a canals, number of wives, number of children by multiple women, accusations of sexual harassment by numerous women, etc. |
Whikky:Don't mind him, if sex shatters destiny you think Trump, Clinton, Obasanjo and others will be president? Check the sex lives of top businessmen, sportsmen or entertainers, you will discover they are sex machines. |
ProfAmaben:Olumba Olumba also claimed to be God |
ThatFairGuy:I am an atheist, simply because I believe religion has been used by our enslavers to enslave us forever. They gave us bible and koran but withold science, education and industrialisation. They teach you Boko is Haram. They build educational and research institutes in their countries but build and sponsor mosques and madrasa in our own country. People have been disobeying Allah from very beginning and people will disobey Allah till the end. I know it's your duty to put those that disobey Allah to the sword or the bomb, as Allah seems incapable of fighting for himself. The irony is that those country that purports to be obeying Allah is where you will find the greatest poverty, hunger, wars and violence in the world, ie Afghanistan, Yemen, Iraq, Indonesia, Northern Nigeria, etc., while those that don't care about all have little or no poverty and violence, ie Norway, Switzerland, Australia, Japan, South Korea. |
ThatFairGuy:Why is it sad for you? Out of all the huge problems confronting the world - poverty, hunger, illiteracy, wars, terrorism, diseases (including millions dying right now of coronavirus ), it is who people choose to have sex with that is making you sad |
sotall:Don't mind holier than thou religious fundamentalists, they are so obsessed with sex, that they think of sex 99 times a day (according to Sigmund Freud). If you don't want to have sex (illicit or otherwise ), that's your personal business, it is crazy to push your sexual preferences or otherwise on other people. Sex that every living thing on earth (including plants ) engage in, is what some religious fundamentalists will not let us hear word about. |
flyingpig:A bill is a proposed law submitted to the national assembly for assent. An executive order is a law made only by the president that bypasses the national assembly. Yes, the president knows that the national assembly might not even consider the bill should he sent it first to the national assembly. As he opted to use the executive order route, the fight for financial and political autonomy will be fought in public. We will see all those against the autonomy of the judiciary and local government in the open, and all blames should not be heaped on Buhari. A Good fall out is that the battle will be fought in the judiciary, we shall see if the judiciary too will fight for its own independence. |
ibietela2:Because financial and political autonomy are all essential parts of TRUE FEDERALISM. |
Lostz:You are right.... but, it would go all the way to the Supreme Court, which can take a few years. The status quo will be maintained (meaning the executive order will be in force) while the case works it's way up the Supreme Court. |
Ordinary judicial and legislative autonomy, which should be fulcrum of a federation, politicians are against, and you think they would support financial and political autonomy aka restructuring and resource control. Even the local governments rejected their own financial autonomy from state governors. Nigerians politics is mainly about self interest rather than group interests. |
