Christianity EtcRe: Pastor Biodun Fatoyinbo Of COZA In Sex Scandal by wirinet(m):
We should appreciate the courage of this lady to come out and expose the sexual exploitation by a spiritual mentor she held in high esteem. This thing is very common in all our churches including the catholic church. My wife left the catholic church because the reverend father was sexually exploited the women in the parish both old and young, and he did not even hide it.

You will be amazed at the amount of control MOGs have over their members. I see the whole Pentecostal church service as a continuous series of hypnotic sessions to make followers lose their sense of reasoning and control and handing over the control of their minds to the holy spirit through the pastor. Believe me, members who have submitted their minds to their pastors can be made to do anything, like stealing or emptying their bank accounts to bring to the church, opening up their bodies for the pastor or even comitting suicide on the orders of the pastor.

This sexual exploitation is more common than we choose to admit, it is just that most ladies are too scared to speak out, because the kinds of stigma and redicle you are seeing here. Our society is such that is hostile towards the weak and reveres the powerful.
PoliticsRe: Is Nigeria Practising Socialism Or Capitalism? by wirinet(m): 1:26pm On Aug 23, 2013
The question is can we be said to be practicing capitalism while resources are stilled controlled by the government? Should not land and resources be in private hands since they are expected to control means of production?
PoliticsRe: Is Nigeria Practising Socialism Or Capitalism? by wirinet(m): 12:10pm On Aug 23, 2013
I disagree with people that says we are practicing a mixed economy, we are sliding fast into absolute capitalism. The government has been selling all our collective assets to private individuals (cronies). The few assets left are the four refineries(which we are benefiting little from), NTA and FRCN, the airports, federal roads (some of which will be concessioned), the sea ports( heard some had been concessioned), the federal universities, polythechnics, and colleges of education (they have been commercialized), the newly revived railways, and a few others. Even the federal hospitals are being run like private concerns inspire of their high fees and poor services. So what social services is the government providing its citizens to have some semblance of socialism.
PoliticsRe: Is Nigeria Practising Socialism Or Capitalism? by wirinet(m): 11:10am On Aug 23, 2013
It seems most people do not understand the basic differences between capitalism and socialism. It has to do with who controls the the factors of production - individuals or government. In capitalism control of factors of production, especially land is in the hands of private individuals - the entrepreneur, who is expected to use these factors to provide goods and services to the people under government regulation and pay various taxes to government. In socialism, the government controls the factors of production including land and resources, and in return provides goods and services to the people, especially the basic ones.

The nigerian system is a corrupt system, the government controls the most important factor of production(land and resources) but abdicates its responsibility of providing basic goods and services. It expects the private sector to provide goods and services while it controls land. Entrepreneurs can only lease land from the government.

Right now we are practicing capitalism as the government feels no obligation to provide any free service as we now have to pay for roads, school, water, hospitals, shelter, etc. Only that the government is not ready to let go of control of resources.
PoliticsRe: Is Nigeria Really Rich? Nigeria's Budget Compared With Some Other Countries by wirinet(m): 8:50pm On Aug 22, 2013
4 Play: @wirinet

It's not lack of entrepreneurship. Nigerians love money and if there are business opportunities, would happily grab it.

The reality is that the environment - rule of law, infrastructure and human capital - doesn't allow for the existence of businesses on such a scale that will allow for huge reductions in unemployment.
That is the problem that leads to fail businesses in Nigeria, it is vision and a desire to satisfy a need that should the driving force for entrepreneurship and not the love of money. If you enter a business venture because of love of money, you are destined to fail.

I used to think like you, believing that government have to put all the right structures in place before one can succeed in business, but i have seen that that is a myth. The industrial revolution started and thrived in UK without any government intervention. In fact the British government wanted to kill the first American settlers with taxes without providing anything in return until they rebelled and broke free. The Jews himself set up their country and sustained it before they even formed a proper government.

emiye: You care to explain the relationship between the millions of unemployed graduate and the men buying jeeps?

Can a typical unemployed graduate buy jeep?
I am surprised you do not see the relationship between jeeps and unemployment. If Nigerian rich men spend less on jeep and other luxury items and and set up small scale industries, the direct and indirect jobs by thousands of such industries would greatly reduce unemployment levels.

Now imagine the number of jobs created in the exporting country by that N5 - N10million jeep tens of thousands of nigerians are driving.

As the poster said, we should change our mindset from consumption to production.
PoliticsRe: Is Nigeria Really Rich? Nigeria's Budget Compared With Some Other Countries by wirinet(m): 5:16pm On Aug 22, 2013
PapaBrowne: Every jeep you see roaming our streets could have started a small factory. Every property sold in Lagos could have started medium sized factory. Our cultures must change for us to see better budgets and in turn better infrastructure.
And let me add, every private jet bought by our rich men can build a large scale industry.

This your sentence should be etched in gold.

It is a pity we have millions of unemployed graduates idling away when N5million can start a candle making or palm oil/palm kernel oil or other industries. But an average nigerian would prefer to buy a jeep which will become worthless in less than 10 years in order to show off.
PoliticsRe: Rivers Officials Ought To Have Visited Abuja, Not Port Harcourt, Says PEJ by wirinet(m): 4:29pm On Aug 22, 2013
Was it only Amaechi and his wife that did not go to Abuja to pay condolence visit? I do not think all the 36 governors, all the 108 senators, all the 360 house of rep members and even all ministers, heads of parastatals and agencies went to Abuja to pay condolence visit to patience. I am not even sure Fashola went to Abuja to console madam president.

I think the visit of Amaechi's wife coupled with the condolence message from the rivers state government should be enough.

Madam president is taking her beef with Amaechi to far. If governors have to pay condolence visits any time a relation of the president and his wife or those of the senate president, speaker, other governors dies, then i doubt there would be time left for governance. And we have not even started talking about the elaborate burial ceremonies that usually span 3 days.
PoliticsRe: You Cannot Disrespect Jonathan And Askfor Respect – Gulak Tells 5 Governors by wirinet(m): 12:20am On Aug 21, 2013
Gulak is talking rubbish. So according to him, governors are equivalent to commissioners and the PDP chairman is an appointed minister of the president.

And these are the kinds of people that advice jonathan.
PoliticsRe: Fashola Hosts Russian Ambassador, Seeks Nig-russia Cooperation In Railways. by wirinet(m):
plaindealer: I really don' get the meaning of your meaningless and redundant rants. Saying Fashola can not seek cooperation from the Russian government without the involvement of the federal government means before going to ALAUSA or discuss any cooperation, these diplomats and world leaders must have obtained cleaarance from GEJ....lmao. Is this a joke or ypou are just pulling my legs?

Let's even go with your absurd nonsense for a second, regardless of the federal government and even if they have to first seek clearance from GEJ which still sounds very absurd, have you asked yourself why they are all heading to Alausa in the first place? What's in it for them? Why are they inviting Fashola to give speeches at world class institutions and functions?

Why not go ahead and answer these questions first and see how pointless and redundant you sound...
you are displaying gross ignorance of international relations here, and you are getting carried away by propaganda to make fashola more influential than he actually is. Fashola cannot seek Nigeria - Russian cooperation in anything. He cannot determine who nigeria seeks cooperation with. He cannot even take a foreign loan without the approval of the FG.

The diplomats dont need clearance from anybody before going to visit fashola or any other person. They just cannot discuss bi-lateral relations with anybody other than representatives of the FG.

The diplomats can go to alausa to lobby for contracts for their home companies or for favourable business concessions for their citizens, like taxes and land, which is within the purview of the governor. But the governor cannot determine who Nigeria establish diplomatic, economic and bi-lateral relations with.
PoliticsRe: Fashola Hosts Russian Ambassador, Seeks Nig-russia Cooperation In Railways. by wirinet(m): 4:53pm On Aug 20, 2013
plaindealer: Obviously, Fashola is not inviting these diplomats and world leaders, many of these countries have their own intel about our leaders and they know who the real credible leaders are, they've also projected into the future and maped out where to plant their flags now and in the future based on their own National interests so their endless pilgrimage to Alausa and hanging out with Fashola is really no suprise.

Even apart from the Alausa visits, think tanks, economic forums and institutions all over the world invite him all the time to give speeches.

Fact is, they know what Lagos as like and they are seeing what this man did to turn the state around and where he's taking Lagos state, they are not even oblivious of the growth, management and economic performance he's manifesting all over the state.

This is really a no brainner, they are just glad that they finally have a sensible professional, credible administrator and non corrupt Nigerian leader to deal with.

Also, gone are the days like 30 years ago when the federal government obstructed the state's efforts to build the first metro rail in Nigeria so that kind of monopoly is no more as displayed by Fashola with the Lagos Metro rail under construction. Such monopolies is fading out thanks to people like Fashola, he removed that veil, he showed the rest of Nigeria and other governors how to take charge and unfold their vision regardles of any federal monopoly.

These wolrd leaders are not blind, yes the federal government are micky mousing and wasting billions of dollars with their old, backward and obsolete rail system while Fashola is moving into the future with the LAGOS METRO RAIL.

They are not blind.
your long epistle did not even touch the fundamental facts i stated, fashola cannot seek cooperation from the Russian government without the involvement of the FG. In a federation, the component states cannot seek coperation directly from foreign governments. The lagos state government can relate and corporate with any individual or institution but not directly with other governments. It is like the lagos state government is seeking bi-lateral relations with Russia.
The lagos state can decide to build a railway system and they can employ anybody they want.
PoliticsRe: Fashola Hosts Russian Ambassador, Seeks Nig-russia Cooperation In Railways. by wirinet(m): 12:43pm On Aug 20, 2013
I do not like the way the lagos state press has spun this condolences visit by the Russian ambassador. They make it seem that governor fashola can determine the foreign policy of Nigeria. Foreign policy is the exclusive reserve of the federal government. It is only the federal government that can ask for assistance on railway transportation from the Russian government through its ambassador. It would be chaos if each state is allowed to relate directly with any country it wishes. Like enugu dealing directly with Israel, while kano deals directly with Iran.

PoliticsRe: How £1billion Aid From The UK Is Used To Help Nigeria Join The Space Race by wirinet(m): 4:50pm On Aug 09, 2013
space program ko, quantum program ni. What is the details of the space program and what are its aims and objectives. How is it possible to have a space program when we do not have a power program, an transportation program, an agriculture program, an education program, an industrial program and all other necessary programs. Even the present so called space program rely on the chinese to do build the rockets and launch the satellites, we are told that we only monitor the satellites from a control centre located in Abuja.

We do not have any idea of what happened to the much hyped nigcomsat1 and 2.

If the British love space programs so much, why don't they spend the $1 billion on their own space program. Because as of today, I am not aware the UK has a space program. This sounds like a huge fraud on the british tax payers or a scam on Nigeria by the Uk.

Where was the CDHR when Abia sacked non indigenes in its civil service?

Where was the CDHR when the City of Abuja evacuated beggars from its streets to their respective states?

Where was the CDHR when the Anambra State Government evacuated and relocated destitutes in the state?

Where have they been until now?

Shame on all those politicizing this
I am sorry to say, you are not fit to be human. Even animals have better compassion for their less fortunate members. So because other states deported less fortunate humans in the past makes fashola's deportation right? what is politicizing about dumping human beings with flesh and blood under a bridge in the middle of the night. Even dogs cannot be so treated in advanced nations. Because a person is poor and from another tribe does not make him/her less human.
PoliticsRe: Lagbaja Responds To Okey Ndibe On “mumudom” by wirinet(m):
Only in mumudon will a governor be an accuser, judge and executioner in a case, and the mumu masses encouraging them on, as shown by Governors Obi and Fashola. Obi can accuse you of being a kidnapper, armed robber or ritualist, he will summarily find you guilty and bring bulldozers to demolish your property with the mumu masses cheerleading. While Governors Fashola picks up anyone of the streets and diagnose them with insanity without a medical report and relocate them under a bridge at onitsha as a solution to their insanity and the mumu masses chairleading as always.

Billyonaire: Wizkid has made more money than Lagbaja will ever make. I guess Lagbaja's music is not selling that he has time to nag online.
How can any sane person compare Lagbaja to whizkid?
Lagbaja started his musical career before whizkid was born.

Lagbaja is a musician, whizkid is just a performer.n

Lagbaja is a graduate as proven in the write up. Whizkid is an illiterate he could hadly write a sentence.

Lagbaja's music carries message and promotes african (yoruba) culture. whizkid music is just popular music created with a laptop.

Lagbaja made his money from music, cd sales, concerts and his motherland place. whizkid makes his money principally from road shows and endorsements.

Even in terms of total money made, Lagbaja has made more money in his over 20 years in the music industry than whizkids 5 or so years as a performer. And remember Whizkid was operating under Banky W, who of course took a huge chunk of any money whizkid made.

Its sickening.

According to Fashola, APC means Anti-Poorman Crusaders
No political party has no other manifesto than to grab power, including the PDP. It is after grabbing power that they make up their Manifesto and agenda.

The official manifestos of all the parties are the same, after all the manifestos of the founding parties of this dispensation was written by the same person.

The only difference between the parties are their acronym, their logo and personalities leading the parties. That is why porting between the parties is seamless.

You are deaf to reason. Why do you think PDP fell from its gaguantuan heights in Edo? It has to do with personalities involved. If uduaghan decides to align with APC, PDP would lose delta. Then if uduaghan can align with Ogboru under APC, PDP would not get 5% votes in delta.
PoliticsRe: 2015: APC Takes Battle To Jonathan’s Stronghold •south-south, South-east To Get by wirinet(m): 1:37pm On Aug 04, 2013
Dont mind them, that is their strategy to discredit anyone they perceive as a danger to Jonathan ambitions. It is a strategy the employed to deadly effect in the past. As soon as IBB declared his ambition to run for presidency, he and his campaign manager (Raymond Dokposi) become terrorist sponsors. But as soon as IBB dropped his ambitions, he stopped being a terrorist sponsor and his campaign manager ported over to Jonathan side.

Every time an election is near Buhari becomes a boko haram sponsor. But after the elections he cease being a terrorist sponsor until next election.

Meanwhile Henry Okah and General Azzazi has accused GEJ and his party of being the actual sponsors of terrorism and ALL terrorist suspects so far are affiliated to PDP.

Are you from delta state? Or you are just making conjectures for delta state. How do you know that the Deltans hate Buhari? How has Buhari offended Deltans? How many Deltans have been reportedly killed by Boko Haram. From reports it is the northerners that recorded the highest casualty of boko haram's attacks, followed by south Easterners and then very few south westerners. So what concern Urhobos, Itsekiris, or even Ika or anoima people with Boko Haram?

If our other Bendel brother (Edo state) can vote for APC, why can't Delta State. As i said, it depends on the disposition of the governor.

Please stop projecting your hatred and prejudices to other tribes or zones of the country.

If the system throw up such as candidates then we will discuss their records, abilities and performances, we hope the present crop of 'elder politicians' who have mortgage the future of nigerians on a platter of selfish interests allow such to happen.
I would have loved it if you stated some names, being non specific destroys your augment. Names that readily comes to mind are Ribadu, El-Rufai, Soludo. These are the so called most dynamic personality of that era. The question is, do any of them have national appeal outside their ethnic enclave. Even within their own ethnic enclave, can any of them win even a governorship election?

Then your idea of a non former executive becoming the president is unrealistic. The way Nigeria's political arrangement is structured, the forces that determine who becomes the president is, in order of importance - 1. The incumbent, 2. The governors, 3. Former heads of state, 4. Important traditional rulers, 5. Important religious leaders, 6. The press, 7. The masses (the let important in the structure).

I am from delta state so i know what i am saying.

Uduaghan is as double agent as of today. He cannot be trusted to be in Amaechi or Jonathan camp. Remember his godfather (ibori) is Jonathan's enemy, and he still takes instruction from his godfather. What i am saying is Jonathan cannot rely on uduaghan for support.

How has the Jonathan presidency benefited the Niger delta as a whole. Apart from the Ijaw, which other ethnic group have benefited from Jonathan? Over 80% of the amnesty benefactors are ijaw, most political appointments from Niger delta is to ijaws and the little federal projects in the Niger delta is to ijaw areas. The Urhobo, Itsekiris, Ikas, aniomas, calabaris, ikwerres, and most Niger delta tribes are yet to feel the benefit of having a Niger delta president.

Now if fulani or yoruba man promises us the east west road, the coastal road from lagos to calabar, revamp of the koko, sapele, calabar and onne ports, establishment of a petrochemical industry and other infrastructural developments. should we refuse the person solely based on his tribe or religion

The APC should expend their resources and energy wisely. No matter how much money they spend, they would make little progress in the south east. The Amaechi saga might give them some leverage in south south especially rivers and maybe delta state. They should concentrate on consolidating their strongholds - south west and north west, and battle PDP in north central and north east.

In your haste to promote your hatred towards certain individuals and section of the country, you did not proffered any alternative. Name one youth that in your opinion has the capacity to make Nigeria great. Lets analyse the antecedents of that youth, including his ideas, philosophies and ideologies.

Is it the "old" sages that should run after "young" acolytes or the acolytes that should run after the master for tutilage If the youth want to learn the values and skills of a master, he makes himself available to be a student of the master. But we know the values and role models of the present generation of youths, i.e. IBB, Jonathan, ibori, tinubu, fashola, alams, dokubo, etc. People like buhari, danjuma, tam david-west, wole soyinka are not deemed role models.
