DonroxyII:Our main preoccupation is impulses that flood our brains with dopamine. Dancing around trees, keeping the brains in a trance like state in worship and prayers, sex, rituals, etc are tools used to achieve euphoria cased by dopamine. The whites understands this, and so encourage us further I these vanities, while they exploit our resources. We are given instruments to stimulate impulses that flood our brains with dopamine. Yes we are the first humans, but we refused to upgrade our brains. Just like Nokia refused to upgrade their 4210, it was soon taken over by Samsung. I doubt Africa can take over the world. We can't build a Wakanda (an advanced social and technological society). Others have gone nuclear and and artificial intelligence, we still can't feed and cloth ourselves. |
DonroxyII:I endorse the whole post. We Black Africans are still living in the matrix. We are too scared to escape the reality created for us by the west. We are hopelessly dependent on the system built by the west Blacks are born into bondage. Into a prison that we cannot taste or see or touch. A prison for our mind. |
blueAgent:By who? By you or the Jews? Did the Jews ever call Jesus Messiah, Saviour, Deliverer, King? He was mocked and killed for calling himself "King of the jews". |
ShaqFu:That's what I have been trying to understand, why does Chioma leave their son at home and shadow Davido every where he goes? Does she have to close mark him? Why can't she stay at home and raise their son and their future children? What value does she add to the family by following him up and down. I also blame Davido for the problem. If he had married Chioma instead of remaining a perpetual fiance, she would not have have the need to be following him up and down. |
blowjohn:The swimming pool is not the problem, design and safety features put in place for kids is. I am an architect, a house with kids must have certain features like guardrails or covers. As per househelps/nannys/minders. I have seen and not just read of terrible instances negligence and abuse of children and babies. You should never leave your children with people who are not emotionally invested with your children. I am a firm believer that one parent must be available to raise the children, its unhealthy having someone else carrying different psychological and emotional baggage raising your children. |
This is the reason I decided not to hire any minder, nanny or househelp to look after my children. No one can take care of your children than the parents and maybe the grandparents. There are tons of stores of negligence and even outright abuse by child minders all over the media. |
CoronaVirusRelo:Accidents are indeed avoidable. Its only unavoidable due to negligence, incompetence and "leaving things to God" as is the case with Nigeria and all black dominated countries.. The best of pilots have crashed planes, the best of formula1 racers have had terrible accidents . World class footballers have missed unimaginable goal chances.British Airways, an airline that's been flying for 49 years had never had a fatal accident, it had only had one runway incident. Formula one cars are expected and designed to have accidents. How many drivers die in formula 1 accidents? Missing goal chances cannot be regarded as an accident, it more of a probability. It reminds us as humans that we are not 100% perfect, and why risk is always factored in!Yes, we humans are not perfect. But that dies not mean that we should not always strive for perfection but be satisfied with mediocrity. |
Dtruthspeaker:I live the life you can only pray for in your dreams. My life is not so miserable that the only hope of escaping suffering and poverty is a promise of utopia after death. Its not my fault that your only source of succour is a fairy tale that your enslavers imposed upon you to make you worship them till you die. I really feel sorry for you. |
ezechi242:Gbam! "In Hitler's eyes, Christianity was a religion fit only for slaves..."
|
Dtruthspeaker:How to you respond to such senseless post. All you wrote there does not make one iota of sense. You and your God are very insecure. |
DeepSight:I hope you are not insinuating that Hitler or the Nazi party were atheists. Hitler and Nazi Germany identify themselves as Christians even though they have major disagreements with the Catholic Church. Fair enough but please be careful not to conflate the Renaissance and the Reformation. The Renaissance involved art, science, philosophical thinking ... And many priests were involved. In fact many scientists were priests.Agreed. But the Renaissance was kick started by the questioning of the absolute authority of the Catholic Church in terms of doctrine and philosophy. And you went silent on the role of the Church with education, particularly with Universities. That means I have no disagreement with the role the Church played in the establishment of universities. Just like I do not dispute the importance of monastries whether Buddhist monastries in the advancement of knowledge in China and India. Same with Islam of the Middle ages. I am sure you know you don't need to tell me this.So what happened? Why has the Church become anti science and anti knowledge. Why has Christianity gone back to the dark ages and started discouraging science and acquisition of knowledge. Why is Christianity now promoting ignorance. Ignorance like flat earth, geocentric universe, etc. Why is Christianity against the well establish fact of evolution (Charles Darwin was a Catholic priest). This is why I say that religion (particularly Christianity and Islam is antithetical to progress and development. |
DeepSight:That's because conquest is a religious thing. It's usually a tool to steal other peoples land resources and enslave other people. The Arabia, Middle East and Africa was also conquered under the guise of religion. Non religious societies have no incentives to conquer and subjugate other people. That same Europe was also largely responsible for the renaissance, the industrial revolution and many strides in science and social engineering. The Renaissance was an anti establishment religious movement. It started with questioning the Catholic Church and embracing humanism as a philosophy. The Renaissance led to the beginning of the age of reason, where the very foundation of Christianity was being questioned. This lead to the age of science and discovery. The church was against these developments and advancements and actually persecuted the early pioneers and thinkers. I am sure I am rambling a little off point, but the point is one cannot so clinically divorce faith from progress. Some faith is beneficial to progress but the Boko Haram type or the Christian fundamentalist type is antithetical to development.

Dtruthspeaker:What are you asking me to see? All I see is a book and your (sect) interpretation of the book. I have read many other books. And if you look at Thomas, you would see that he did not touch Jesus and put his finger in the holes. No he did not!Whether he physically touch the wound in Jesus's side is irrelevant, the important thing is that he physically (and not spiritually) saw Jesus and his injuries before he believed. Besides, Catholics believed he touched Jesus while protestants believe he did not. Its a matter of which doctrine to choose to believe. He Saw what was there to be seen. The same things he knew before which is knowledge.I am also wishing to see what is there to be seen, and acquire actual knowledge instead of beliefs. When we say God we are just paying full respect to The Person Who created us and built this House we call earth which He put us in rent free, to live in it.I have always hated these Christian (and Muslim) philosophy, that I should be grateful for being alive and on earth. Who send am work? Did I beg to be put on earth? He did it for his own pleasure without my consent. A human is put on this earth under circumstances he/she has absolutely no control, he/is expected to struggle, survive and reproduce. Then in less than 100 years dies. Because of that he/she is expected to worship a God for eternity. Mind you he/she might survive for just 15 years. That's sadistic. |
DeepSight:Because the USA is a peculiar case. Their brand of Christianity is very materialistic and makes acquisition of wealth a doctrine. Besides, a huge percentage of the wealth is created by atheists and non religious people. Of the 10 riches men in the US only a couple are religious. |
Dtruthspeaker:And Apostle Thomas who physically saw and talked to Jesus did not realise he did not create himself or that a house cannot build itself? For you information Apostle Thomas was also my favourite Apostle. How can you ask me to believe extraordinary claims without proof. |
Dtruthspeaker:Most ke? Have you been to Nigerian churches (and mosques), in fact poverty resides there permanently. Maybe 5% of the congregation are wealthy, a further 25% are probably middle class, but more than 70% of most congregation are living in poverty. Furthermore, if you compare countries where prayer and religion play a greater part of people's life, you will discover that the less the prayer the more prosperous the country. In in converse the more religious the country the higher the poverty level. As an example over 80% of the population of the poorest country in the world are Christians (the rest being Muslims and traditionalists), while 73% of the population of second richest country , China identify as non religious, with Christianity at 2.5% of the population. |

Na the same strategy dem use in 2015 with Buhari. After the suit photo shoot before elections, we never see buhari for suit again.

asanausana91:First and foremost the university is not a private a private organisation, its a government institution build and maintain by tax payers money. Even if 90% of the state are Christians; Muslims, traditionalists, Ogboni, atheists, etc., too need to have their rights protected. Besides not all Christians want to abide by cannon laws. It we are talking about a private Christian or Muslim university imposing their doctrines, I would not raise eye brows, but a public institution in a secular country imposing their religious doctrines on non believers is tyranny. |
asanausana91:I never said walking naked is a definition of civilization, and no one here has advocated for people walking around campuses and streets naked. What I am saying is that you have no rights to impose your fashion sense (religious or otherwise) on others. Why should a woman tinting her hair or wearing coloured braids, wearing leg or waist chains or having tatoo on her body offend you? Many other cultures and religions demand wearing certain accessories and tatoos, is that not an infringement of their religious rights? |
asanausana91:Stark illiterate. You don't know how to use Google? No wonder religious fundamentalists resort to insults and violence to hide their ignorance.
|
asanausana91:See someone talking about America as if he even has a passports not to talk of stepping into a plane. Campus girls in the US dress way worse than Nigerians in term of bodily exposure piercings and tattoos. It's difficult to catch a female campus girl without a piercing or tatoo. Learn to mind your own business and life without obsessing into what others particularly women are wearing. If your mind is so dirty that all you think of is sex and women 24/7, that's your own problem. Don't impose your stupid fashion sense on all women. You are worse than Boko Haram. |
asanausana91:You want to impose your morality on others? You guys are going backwards as a civilization. You are going backwards to European middle ages. Even the middle ages was better than what we have now, at least they produced great thinkers and scientists even though the church imposed its morality on the state and population. With this your mind set, black Africa can never develop a functional stable society. |
treatise:Which one be obodo oyinbo again? How much covering were your great, great grandmother's wearing before oyinbo came with their standard? |
orion7:Stay in your country. Na by force to stay in another man's country? Its no secret that Arabs (along with Jews, Asians and Eastern Europeans) don't like blacks), so why can't we stay and build a prosperous society that will make others respect us? We destroy our fatherland and then run to people who historically never liked us for refuge and start demanding all sorts of Privileges. If black nations are organised and self sufficient and not turn themselves into a basket case, they will not be treating us like shit. This was one area I agreed with Donald Trump when he advice Nigerians to go back to their shithole country
|
correctyourself:It depends on the job. It applies to white colour jobs. In blue collar jobs like construction, mechanics, farming, etc., you don't need suit and tie. In the artistic industries like film, music, entertainment, etc., dressing different is an advantage. |
orion7:Which appropriate response do you want to give UAE? What are they gaining from us apart from stolen funds. How many UAE citizens are in Nigeria. If they freeze the billions of dollars of stolen money in Dubai, our politicians will commit suicide. |
orion7:Have you seen Albanians do hushpuppi, have you seen Albanians do Aiye vs Eye on the streets of Dubai, have you seen Albanians Rob banks and people in Broad day light? UAE economy is built on tourism and we Nigerians wan put sand for their garri. For the past 20 years, they have us free access to their country and our youths messed up, they carried their criminal tendencies to display in Broad day light in another man's country. Very soon no country in the world will allow us into their lands. |
jaxxy:I do wear slippers to my office most of the time. Many jobs do no require suilts, agbada or designer shoes. What's your problem with leg chains? If you don't have problems with neck chains, wrist chains and ear rings, what's your problem with leg chains, wrist chains and nose chains? These are called assessories. Universities can enforce certain dress codes of students especially in the lectures hall. U can go outside and still be whatever u want to be bt not within the school.Short of nudity, universities should not be dictating how adults should dress. Universities are not monastries where religious codes are upheld. what I don't support is uniforms except for law students they have more dresscodes than other departments.Since you want to impose your own dress code on universities, why not go the whole hog and impose a uniform or a set of uniforms? The university is a serious place for learning 1st not a socialising event or party ground or even hotel. How you dress or decide to express your individualism has no correlation with what you learn or your grades. |
