ugodson:NANS should be relevant for once and sue the school for this obnoxious law or is it order. Its clearly against the fundamental human rights of Nigerians. |
jaxxy:Universities are not kindergarten school. You are dealing with legal adults, some with their own families. How can you dictate what an adult wear, how he chooses to colour his or her hair or if he puts paint on his own skin. |
treatise:What concerns weapons with dress? Will the dress kill? Like dress to kill. Religious fundamentalists spotted. |
raumdeuter:I hope he runs again. I want to see more of those Lincoln Project ads. I have really missed Lincoln Project ads since the last presidential elections. On a serious note, I doubt the US can survive another Trump run for the White House. They barely survived the last one. |
Diligent1:You are highly disappointed in Dele Momodu but not disappointed in Festus Keyamo, who had said worse thing about Tinubu and APC in the past. You are not even disappointed in Femi Fani-Kayode who was poured out personal insults on Tinubu for decades only to experience the Damascus road experience just a few months ago and now the greatest cheerleader of Tinubu. If you can be disappointed by a Nigerian politician, then be ready for a lifetime of disappointmens. |
Ransomware:Others around the world are preparing on how to survive a nuclear Armageddon, we are more worried about religious nonsense. |
okorogodwin4:When did your ancestors start wearing cloths or when did Africans start covering their whole body with cloths? The two imported foreign religions has ready enslaved Africans |
Nazgul:Nigeria is gradually becoming Nigeriastan or the Islaminc Republic of Nigeria. Why not mandate women to cover their hair or ban women from attending school altogether. The university environments should be an ivory tower that accommodates all sorts of tribes, ideas and personalities, it should not be a straight jacket institution where religious morals are forced on everyone. I can understand some sort of dress restrictions like preventing indecent exposure or outright unclothedness, but specifying the way a woman should dress in an institution that's supposed to reflect a mosaic of ideas is stupid. |
God2man2again:Forget the good effects of drinking alcohol. As long as it gives people satisfaction and its not poisonous or detrimental to health (in moderate quantities), then its not anyone's business. Not everything you drink or eat should be medicine or food. People drink coffee and tea for the caffeine, people take soft drinks for the sugar rush, others chew gum for the habit. All these things ate not necessarily beneficial to the body. |
Kobicove:Oga, I hate fighting over money or material things. The problem here is that the lady is too materialistic. Your husband brought a proposal to buy a land for the family, probably because he is getting it cheap. You insist that it must be yours alone since maybe he does not have the money at the moment. Of course he will sell it to you like an outsider. You discovered and started insulting him before packing out of your matrimonial home. Now tell me who lack trust in the other? The woman who doesn't trust the husband to buy land in both their names or the man that made money from sale of land to his wife? |
missimelda01:It's you that is toxic and encourage toxicity in marriages. I have been married for 15 years and yes indeed we have had serious challenges, but separation was not even into consideration. Didn't you read where the lady wrote "I insult him, he insults me, he broke my phone, I break his door. If you don't recognise this as a toxic marriage, then you are even more toxic than the lady in question. I don't care what other people do in their marriages, my main concern is this issue that was brought here. Trust is IMPORTANT and her husband just broke her trust. PeriodTrust over what? She trusted him and she was snooping on his phone? Did she find infidelity on the man's phone? What other Trust are you looking for? Yes the man skimmed N200k of the wife, yes that is bad, but its fairly normal for loved ones to skim each other. Children are worse. Are you going to disown your children because they skimmed a few tens of thousands from you? The lady should simply have used diplomacy to collect the money back, if she truly wanted the money back. Most likely the man used the N200k on the family. If then used the money for drugs, ashawo or bet9ja, I would have understood her anger. But she never hinted the husband was irresponsable. If he wanted the money, he could have asked. Was there a need to act like a thief? How can he apologise when the wife started out with insults. She was lucky the man is not the violent type. Some men would respond to insults with slaps. How does the bolded make any sense to you? If she didn't care about her marriage would she be seeking for advise? Stop thinking like this for your own good. She cared about the marriage and wanted a personal property instead of family property when the husband brought up the idea. My wife bought a property and put Mrs and Mrs, instead of just her own name. That's the type of behaviour that elicit trust. |
Emescot:Me sef, I don dey vex. My wife go commot N10k for where I dey hide money yesterday without asking me, say gas don finish. This morning I come dey look for money. My mama must hear this. I am leaving the house for 2 months. I will never forgive her. It's my money |
Obidient4life3:You have no idea of the real meaning of marriage. The house belongs to the wife too as long as their legally married. No one also forced the wife to marry the husband. Since she is not ready to let go of her self (selfishness), she should never have said I do to "two becoming one" in the marriage vows. Why will she want a property in her name? Who owns the property if she dies unexpectedly? Her father, brothers or the children? If a woman buys property without the husbands knowledge and later the husband gets to know, that's the end of the marriage. What will you then say if husband buys a property without the wife's knowledge? The breakdown of the family unit is the greatest contributor of the decay of the Nigerians society. Selfishness and greed is now the order of the day. |
Obidient4life3:What do you mean he cheated no doubt. A man that built a whole house, just 2 years after paying for marriage rights will want to cheat his wife, and he will take only N200k? Is 200k money in todays Nigeria? |
missimelda01:The husband did nothing wrong. Wife's skim their husbands money all the time and they hardly complain, not to talk of separation. The man is a very responsible man. What was she even looking for in his phone? She did not find another woman's number, because I am sure that was what she was looking for. I don't believe she is leaving her matrimonial home because of N200k. There must be other reasons. Maybe she has another rich lover promising her heaven on earth or maybe the pregnancy does not belong to the husband. |
ZUBY77:That's what I also observe. It would have helped to know the age and job of the husband. To get married, have a baby, build a complete house and buy another land to start another house, all within a two to three year period, and at such a young age is very suspect. I also wonder the type of job the lady does. Maybe her parents are very wealthy. Because it is unbelievable that a lady can finish school, serve, start working, get married, have a baby and still save the amount of money the lady is spending all before the age of 25. |
Fahvvy:Thanks my brother for having the correct perspective. Most people supporting the spoilt brat of a lady don't understand the meaning of the word marriage. A man that courted you for years and paid your bride price, a man that build a house and made your the lady of the manor, a man that provided love and security for you and your child, you are angry to the point of separation just because of N200,000. Not that he even stole the N200,000, but it was for a land he helped you buy. Not that he spent the N200,000 on a mistress or girlfriend, he probably spent the money on you and the home. The lady does not deserve this man. If I am the mans relation, I will advice him to get a divorce ASAP. This woman is just too selfish. It's always about me, myself and I with her. Now why will die want to build a house all for herself? Does she plan to leave their family house in the near future? I think the lady has it too easy with life and is looking for some life's challenges. It's her mates that are singing " jehovah take me to my hisbands house", while she has a rich and loving husbands at such young age. After 10 years as a single mother of 2 children, she will know what's up. |
Ola4lead:Also read ecclesiastes 9 vs 7 Go thy way, eat thy bread with joy, and drink thy wine with a merry heart; for God now accepteth thy works. |
Samantha123:If it has no alcohol, then it cannot be referred to as wine. Its better to refer to it as un fermented and carbonated fruit juice in a bottle, like Ribena in a bottle. |
Kobicove:As long as they don't drink it at the alter. Neither shall any priest drink wine, when they enter into the inner court. |
Evidenx:False. That's your personal or cult doctrine and not Christianity. No where in the Bible did it state that you go to hell by drinking alcohol. |
Handsome777:Drinking of alcohol was never forbidden by Christ himself. In fact the very first miracle he performed was turning water into wine (although new age born again Christians lie that it was fruit juice and not fermented and distilled fruit juice), forgetting that technology for stoping fermentation of fruit juice is very recent). In fact Jesus incorporated drinking of wine as a part of Christian communion as recorded in the last supper. What the Bible preached against was drunkingness. |
Elliotwaveforec:Keyword, boost. What's there to boost when there is no manufacturing sector to start with. You just can't start manufacturing without first putting the necessary factors to support the manufacturing. When you look at factors of production in economics 101, the first and most important thing is Land. The land use act of 1978 and antithetical to agriculture and manufacturing. Secondly, you need to have a local and reliable source of raw materials. No use using foreign exchange to import raw materials at exorbitant rate when we have them in abundance here. We lack the equipment and manpower to mine and process raw materials for productive base. Furthermore our agricultural and processing sector is still rudimentary and cannot provide source of primary raw materials. Thirdly capital, our interest rate regime of 20 -30% interest rate cannot start production, not to talk of boosting production. Where will entrepreneurs get the necessary capital to boost production from. Last and not least is the state of our infrastructure- power, roads, rails, etc. How can produce with a total power output of less than 4000Mw of electricity? How can companies move raw materials to site and move finished products market given the sorry state of our roads? |
Elliotwaveforec:Printing more money will not impact economic development, it will only create more naira chasing the same dollars, as we are an import dependent economy. It will only result in run away inflation. Ask Ghana, ask Zimbabwe. |
purples25:That's the attitude of misogynistic men. They only blame and punish women for getting pregnant. As if she was impregnated by the Holy spirit. In more advanced countries, men are required to take half the responsibility of a child else he goes to jail. |
brain54:It is not, no matter what you think. Even legally, where abortion is illegal, the woman can only be charged for abortion and never murder. You either abort the process of having a baby or you birth the baby. Even when you are installing a new app on your phone. When you press abort, the process stops and the app is not install on your phone. After installation is complete, you cannot abort anymore, you can only delete/uninstall. Same thing as murder. I think people should show more responsibility. If you want to have sex like Guinea pigs because you can’t control your hormones at least use protection or contraceptives.Yes people should show responsibility especially when it comes to sex, but the reality is that they don't. To humanist like us, a baby should the an end result of love and not a punishment for sexual irresponsibility. Yes contraceptives and birth control should be adopted and promoted, but what happens if it fails? Should the woman be forced to birth and care for a baby she doesn't not want? If that don’t work by some slight chance. At least take responsibility. That's in your religious book, and not generalise. As I said a baby should not be punishment for irresponsibility. We already have too many unwanted children in the world particularly in poor third world countries. |
brain54:When people like me advocate for abortion to be regulated and made readily available for women who carry unwanted pregnancies and don't want to carry a baby to term, religious fundamentalists insists on using babies to punish women for committing sexual immorality. This will often result in murdered babies instead of aborted babies. Dumping newborns inside rivers, dustbins, bushes, etc is fairly common. Only a minute fraction ever gets discovered. Having sex like guinea pigs is a basic human instinct. You can threaten with fire and brimstone all you can, it won't stop men and women from having sex indiscriminately. And forcing a woman to give birth to a baby she doesn't want will not deter woman from having sex like guinea pigs. Most women don't even understand the adoption system or where orphanages are situated. All these hypocritical "holier than thou" people who have never donated a kobo to an orphanage are the ones to scream " why not take the baby to an orphanage"? They don't even know the direction of any orphanage, but they expect a pregnant teenager to know. |
udemzyudex:Don't mind him. The people that wrote the manifesto does not seem to understand how the Nigerian federation works. The revenue allocation formula between the 3 tiers of government is set in stone, it had already been determined by the constitution, a president cannot unilaterally change it. All Progressives Congress, Bola Tinubu is considering a review of the revenue-sharing formula among the three tiers of government, if elected as president in 2023.How? Is the the president that allocates funds to states and loc governments? |
Praxis758:Yes now. To ensure sit at home in the east on election day. Big win for APC. |
Moh247:That was when Tinubu was in his 30s and 40s. You can't expect him to be mentally and physically fit to still perform same in is 70s and 80s. Jay Jay Okocha could disgrace any keeper with a free kick in his 20s and 30s. In his 50s he will be lucky to even kick the ball with enough power to beat my mum. |
budaatum:A people's God represents their inherent nature, aspirations and hopes. As these things change, so also the nature of their God's. Christianity is marriage of the old Jewish religion with the Roman pagan religion. The old Jewish God (El, Yahweh, jehovah) is a war, vengeful and clannish God, just like the Jewish people. He helped them win wars against their enemies. He also encouraged the murder of enemies and the raping of their young women. The God of the Christians, Jesus is a more pacifist God. His message was to help the Jewish people manage and cope with the brutal Roman occupation, that is before he was high-jacked by the Romans for political reasons. |
feedthenation:And denies knowing what illness he wrote a get well card to the same woman at the same time period for. |
