Mercury12:Found wanting for what exactly? What are you accusing her of - kidnapping? Did you not read the original post or you have a comprehension deficit disorder. According to the post, the lady friend had helped the family as best as she could by providing information she has about the girl's whereabout to them. Read this portion once again and comprehend; Just on Saturday which is two days ago, she told us her girl friend ,(someone about 7 years older than she is, a single mother) is siçk, she seek visiting her, we okayed that, only to find out she had played us in other to visit someone she had met on Facebook far far away, she did came back same Saturday very late though. The spoilt 24 year old girl lied to her family using the girlfriend as excuse. She later came back to pack her load to run away to live with her new lover, the girlfriend provided the phone number of the guy she suspected the 24 year old ran away with, and you are talking about police arresting the girl. For what exactly? Secondly OP sister is 24 years old adult and doesn't takes away the moral right of the family also know her whereabouts.Families look out for each other.Police is not hisbah with mandate to enforce moral rights. The family should get in touch with their daughter and her new lover to establish her whereabouts before involving the police. Pls desist from supporting evil. If your sister or any of your love ones happen to be in same situation i bet you won't suggest they be left alone not knowing their whereabouts or if they safe just because they adults. It's you that is supporting evil, the intimidation and harassment of a poor single mother probably due to hatred. |
Mercury12:Provide more clues to what? Don't the family of the girl (24 year old kid sister) have her phone numbers? She has the right to live any where she wishes and doesn't need anyone's permission or content. If they arrest the girl friend unjustly, she should sue the family and police for unlawful arrest. |
ono:It's not research but common sense. In the last election cycle, Republicans were demonising mail in voting while vigorous promoting in person voting, while Democrats promoted mail in voting as against in person. This was due to different philosophies regarding the Covid pandemic. Mail in voting takes days and weeks to go through the post, sort, verify and count. So common sense dictate that the election results that come in after voting day heavily favours democrats. In the past two years, efforts by state legislators in battleground states to bring speed, transparency and efficiency to election process were shot down by demonrats governors in these states. Arizona being one for them. Before the 2019 elections most of the battleground states won by democrats had Republican legislatures enacting electoral kaws, Republican secretary of state organising the elections and some even had Republican governors . So you cannot blame the democrats for the laws and conduct of the elections. Katie Hobbs, running for governor in that state is also the one overseeing the electoral process in that state. If you don’t see anything wrong with such an arrangement, then I’m left with nothing to say to you anymore. This is not a unique case. In the 2019 elections, Brian Kemp was the secretary of state organising an election in which he was a candidate. I did not hear you guys complain then. |
ono:I am surprised I have to educate you on US electoral system. US being a federation has different electoral laws for different states. The electoral laws are enacted by each state house legislature. Different states have different ways of handling mail-in and absentee voting. Some states process them on election day, others dont start processing them until in person voting has been counted. Others allow for the ballots to come in up to a month after voting day, as long as they were posted before election day. If MAGATs suspect fraud and foul play, why don't they present evidence before the appropriate authorities and finally the courts. Are you guys never tied of elevating speculations to the level of facts? |
zendi:Anambra, Brazil or Italy don't do mail-in or absentee voting. The mail-in ballot which must be posted by election day, must first get to the Election Office, sorted, signature verified before being counted. This is not new but had been the system for decades. Republicans had won many elections with this system. Trump himself had voted with mail-in in the past. Military, diplomats and overseas officers vote by absentee, unless you suggest that these categories of Americans should not exercise their civic rights. You guys are behaving as if these issues are novel or new. |
PrimeWatermark:I am an atheist, my wife is a pentecostal Christian and have been happily married for 15 years. So what's your problem? There are many many atheists or non religious people happily married to Christians, likewise many Muslims happily married to Christians. In the reverse, there are many Christians marriages from the same denomination that ended up in unhappy marriages - physical abuse, neglect and infidelity. |
basilico:Election denying seem to be a major part of the MAGA movement. Only MAGATS believe without presenting any fact that any election they lose is rigged, but any election they win is legitimate. Normal Republicans don't think like that. If Ron Desantis should run for presidency, it will divide the Republican Party into 2 down the line. MAGA vs Real Republican - Trump cult worshippers vs those with republican ideals. |
ono:Abortion and Trump's Maga Movement. According to exit polls, abortion is almost at the same point with the economy in terms of importance in voting. Then more independents voted for Democrats because of they were against trump and his MAGA Movement. |
LordReed:As of a year ago, I used to consider Elon Musk as a genius, but with his stupid twitter debacle, I realize that he was just extremely lucky and not very smart. Definitely not in the mould of Steve Jobs, Bill Gates or even Richard Branson. How can someone buy a company that had been making losses consistently for the last 10 years for $44 billion? He just dashed Jack Dawson free money. Unless Elon Musk gets a proper management with a brilliant CEO to clean up his mess, I see twitter dying in 2 years. Even me that is an IT illiterate knew from the beginning that the $8 blue check verification was stupid. Many other IT experts said it will not work, but Elon Musk is behaving like a third world dictator, thinking he is omniscient. |
christistruth01:No one is saying Ataga was a Saint, he was not the devil either. He was simply a man doing what men do, and he did not deserve to be gruesome murdered for it. It was greed that drove Ataga into Chidinma's hands in the first placeGreed ke? Did he expect any material things from Chidinma? It was his high libido that drove him into Chidinma's hands, and Chidinma exploited that opportunity to satisfy her greed. In other climes, a man of such high libido is allowed to marry multiple young wives. Do you think any decent girls have time for Ataga's type?Believe me many decent girls are ready to befriend and marry someone as rich and handsome as Ataga. |
christistruth01:It's not any ideology that sent Ataga to an early grave but a wicked, greedy and callous girl. Imagine killing him and the stealing his money and properties without conscience? What kind of ideology is that? |
christistruth01:Your type is the main reason why I left Christianity about 30 years ago, and I never regretted it. You guys just like your Muslim counterpart are very cruel, inhuman and callous. You guys are too obsessed with other people's sex lives and wish them death if they don't conform to your sexual morality. Ataga having sexual relations with Chidinma is not a crime worthy of gruesome murder. It was not a case of rape, but one of 2 consenting adults. Someone like Ned Nwoko have relations with younger girls and wife multiple of them. They don't go murdering him. Men had been sleeping with young women before christ and will continue sleeping with young women even after his second coming. It can only be a religious sin, it is never a civil crime before talking about punishment with death penalty. At 21 Chidinma is a legal adult, she is responsible for her decisions and actions. Many ladies are already married at 21. You have no right to question the sexual lives of Ataga, Chidinma or anyone else who is not a member of your religious sect. |
christistruth01:What do you mean by damage control contractor? This is a public interest case and lots of Nigerians have been following the case since it happened. Most neutral Nigerians just want to see justice done and the murderer(s) should be duly punished. Do you think it is a Coincidence that they have the same Surname?Did you not read the screenshot I posted? The sister said she changed her name from Chidinma Echefu to Chidinma Ojukwu. The sister said their fathers name was not Ojukwu and they are from Imo State and not Abia. I am sure these facts will come out during the trial. Ojukwu is not a Common Igbo name like Okonkwo or OrjiYou refuse to provide the source where you got your information that Chidinma's fathers name is Ojukwu. I followed the case diligently because inspite of what Chidinma did I don't want her to get Capital Punishment and I want her to Repent and be given another Chance because of her young ageWhat of Ataga? Does he not deserve another chance of living a full life? What of Atagas young children, don't they deserve another chance with their father? I shudder at your warped sense of justice. You want a murderer (suspected) to go scot free because she repented and is young. I don't support capital punishment either, but a murderer must be punished appropriately for his/her crime. That's against the universal law of karma. |
christistruth01:And how do you know these? Are you related to Chidinma? Chidinma's blood sister came out to debunk any relationship with Mr Ojukwu. If they were actually related, then why does she refer to him as Foster father instead of uncle?
|
christistruth01:False! The man she is living with is her sugar daddy and not related to her in anyway.
|
greggng:Mr Ojukwu was not accused of murder. The "foster father" prevented the police from arresting her when they came to his house. That's obstruction of justice. He might also be an accessory to helping chidinma hide evidence after the murder. Let the police and the court do their job. |
HRMK:The Person of the calibre career, integrity and age of Pa Adebayo can never be bought. Besides if he wanted to sell his conscience, I am sure Tinubu or Atiku will pay far higher than Obi. He was speaking from his conscience. Anyone with a conscience should recognise that the Yoruba-Fulani should support other tribes for the presidency, particularly the Igbos. |
tegrianonigltd:Banana Island was sandfilled during Abacha. Park View Estate where Tinubu lived before 1999 was developed during IBB. Oniru was sandfilled by Raji Rasaki. |
sangresan:Goodluck Jonathan was a mistake. He was drafted in by the Yoruba-Fulani political hemogeny (headed then by OBJ) as docile houseboy. But unfortunately Yaradua died, and the progressive Yorubas did not allow them to bypass him. Hence the forced "doctrine of necessity". Look at elected presidents since 1979. 1979 - Shehu Shagari 1983 - Shehu Shagari 1999 - Olusegun Obasanjo 2003 - Olusegun Obasanjo 2007 - Shehu Yaradua (died in office) 2011 - Jonathab Goodluck 2015 - Muhammadu Buhari 2019 - Muhammadu Buhari Don't you think power should now go outside Yoruba-Fulani in 2023? Now if Tinubu should win in 2023 and rule for 8 years, Shettima being the vice would definitely want to rule for the next 8 years. That would be almost 50 years of Yoruba-Fulani rule. (except the 5 years Jonathan break) Do you think this is fair? |
sangresan:The old man is very wise. It's a travesty of justice and fairness for power to rotate only between the Yoruba and Fulani, when we gave many tribes and regions in Nigeria. The old man knows this will further cause division within Nigeria. |
tegrianonigltd:Don't mind them. They live in an alternative universe. Lekki phase one was completed before Tinubu was sworn in in 1999. VGC along the Lekki corridor was built during Abacha. |
maestroferddi:You that is a Stark literate, please enlighten us on the relationship between Chidinma and Mr Ojukwu, and how she changed her name from Chidinma Egbuchu to Chidinma Ojukwu. |
masseratti:It has a lot to do with the case. Nigerians claim to know more than professionals. The police lawyers are establishing the reliability and integrity of the accused. The trial is about who is lying between the police and the accused on the statement first given to the police. A girl having sex with numerous men including her "foster father" and lying about it cannot be relied upon to tell the truth. The police is trying to establish that the so called "foster father" is an accessory to the crime before or after the crime. That was why he was arrested and tried. Its left for the police to present their evifence and let the court decide. |
CSTRR:Abeg me I now hear English o. Watin be foster father in 9ja? She be orphan, or the mother put her up for adoption? |
matm:Without tail transportation, a country cannot industrialise or develop. Roads are cheap to build and very expensive to maintain. Cars and trucks cannot be used to move huge quantities of materials and people. |
joshjc:Na where Amaechi leave the rail and indeed transportation, na there e go remain until next administration. The new minister will simply use his short tenure to cash out. |
Zenzu01:And you think badge verification will work? Very suspect and risky business model. The model that had been working for social media from inception is to offer free quality service and then make money from advertisers and by selling subscriber information. That's how Facebook, Google search, YouTube, nairaland, WhatsApp, etc works. Asking people to pay for verification will discourage people. The idea of buying verification itself would create distrust. Elon Musk has been making political statements and enmeshed himself into the political mud fight between the left and the right of late. |
Zenzu01:False assumption. The aim of Musk buying twitter is political and not profit. At $44 billion, how many years or decades does he hope to break even, before even talking about profit? For company that had posted profit only once in the last 10 years. |
Omolomo4eva:You are right, life is not a 100m dash but a marathon with no define finish line. Everyone crosses his own finish line in his own time. |
peepydelano:Worst advice. Two hands working can do more than a thousand clasped in prayer. Learn a skill. The best being an IT skill. But if you don't have the brains or resources to learn an IT skill, learn any skill. Just make sure you are good at it. Good skills earn more than any employment you can get, even with a degree. |
AustineE1:Which wonderful idea is he saying. So saying that "“Our economy is too much dependent on export of raw materials, this is insufficient to fund the economy" is a wonderful idea? A first year economics undergraduate knows that depending on exporting raw materials and importing finished products leads to economic disaster. Or is it shouting private - public partnership up and down while not accounting for what they do with billions generated as IGR and federal allocations every months. Non of the three presidential candidates are saying anything new. We have a leadership crisis in Nigeria. |
byteem:Thanks. The speech was pathetic. I was only able to view half of it before cringing in disgust. The speech has zero substance and was poorly delivered. No wonder Tinubu's supporters avoid posting the video and audio. Tinubu should fire his speech writer. He or she absolute has no idea of politics, economy or governance. Just familiar sound bites to rile up the audience. Tinubu is also in cognitive decline. He can scarcely start and finish a sentence. He most times fail to complete words. |
