If the man did not make a will, how then can she argue the house belongs to her? No Nigerian culture gives a deceased property solely to the wife. children, particularly male children take precedence in sharing of properties.

The court (magistrate) will rule according to the culture of the deceased husband.

I felt so frustrated this evening after joining a long queue at the filling station for more than 3 hours without still getting fuel. Nigeria is at a far worse state than it was before you left for Canada 3 years ago....The point is no system is perfect. There is no society without its frustrations except utopia. The key is learning how to survive despite frustrations. Many countries are also in a worse state that it was 3 years ago. In fact very few countries of the world is better off than it was 3 years ago. UK, US and most of the western world are facing an energy crisis. Inflation is also ripping havoc on their economies. Believe Nigeria is not the worse country in the world, we are only loud at washing our dirty linen outdoors.

Get married ke? Marriage abroad no be like marriage in naija o. There you are at the mercy of women. Ordinary you look your wife anyhow, she can get you arrested. If she decides to divorce you, she keeps the house, your children and half your salary.

Believe me some people in the village live happier and more qualitative lives than people in big cities abroad. The kalahari bushman living in the desert with little to eat or drink lives a more fulfilling and purposeful life that someone in Newyork. Its all a matter of perspective.

Earlier this year, I went back in time to few years back when I was doing so well in Nigeria. The noises from friends and all nurtured the decision to move abroad inside of me. I became so restless till I finally leave. The first day in Canada was the day I knew this place isn't where I can be forever. Most of us would have come back before the time we had in mind except for the fact that I don't still have enough. If I want to travel to naija for vacation now, I will need up to $4k. If I take that away from my savings, I don't know how I can recover.

No one tells about the downside of this place. I feel lonely, depressed and empty most times. Because no one to talk to, just everyone in my workplace goin about their business. If I make attempt to talk to them, they just waive it with a smile. It's been 3years here and the people I still talk to on video call are friends from Nigeria. It's been 3years and my savings is still Short of $20k despite how much my friends in Nigeria do tell me how easy it is for me to make money abroad but I never tell them my situation. I can't wait to make enough and leave Canada for good. I know a lot will come at me with the usuall "come back to Nigeria na", please this is not an attempt to denigrate your abroad heaven, just for me to rant out and be fine

This was one the main reason I left London and jejely came back to Nigeria to double my hussle. The loneliness and subsequent depression was excruciating. I remember going on bus round London on Sundays just to cure boredom. By then there was no Internet and calling friends and family at home was very expensive. Friends and family in London have no time for themselves not to talk of you.

Nigerians make the mistake of equating material comfort for happiness, it is not. Rich people commit suicide more that people in abject poverty. In fact you hardly hear poor people commit suicide. Life is more meaningful than what you eat, drink or wear.

First, find out the correctly how much she has spent on the house. Tell her u will pay her the money, that u want to rent out the house for tenants, so that u will be able to raise the money. If she starts behaving mad, report her to ur family members. If water pass garri get a lawyer. Just tell her u will her. Na money go settle am. I just hope u have the land Document with u.

Good advice.
First make sure you have possession of the papers. Since your mum developed the property to window level, she cannot claim the whole building. Get a valuer to estimate how much she had spent on the property. Promise to reimburse her for the money she had spent on the property. It can't be too much as it's just blockwork. I don't know if she has roofed the building yet.

Then get your self a lawyer and obtain a court injunction stopping further development of the property by your aunt.
Before all these leave the house as you are very vulnerable to murder.

If you don't have the money to pay her use the papers to obtain a loan to pay her and complete the building. If you can't do that, sell the property and reimburse her and then use the remaining to buy another property in a less expensive location.

Bola Tinubu is trying to build a Monarchy like the Al-Bashir family of Syria. If Tinubu should dare win the presidency, the Seyi Tinubu will be the next governor of Lagos after Sanwo-Olu.

It doesn't matter if only 1% were interested in the polls. In every election, only those who are interested get to vote. It's undemocratic to force the uninterested to vote.

I just want to point out that the 2% that voted yes does not necessarily represent the majority of twitter users. There is more incentive for Trump's supporters to vote than Trump's antagonists.

Terms and conditions are meant to be changed. They are not set in stone. Even nations adjust their constitutions.

Twitter would be going a very dangerous path if they begin to punish anyone who disagrees with an election result.

Trump broke twitter rule not once but multiple times, and he was warned severally before the ban.

Twitter did not punish Trump for disagreeing with election results, they banned him for using their platform for planing and executing a coup against the US Congress and the incoming administration. He was using social media to stop the peaceful transfer of power which itself was the hallmark of US democracy before him. It was not only twitter that banned him, but all major social media companies. He did not disagree with the elections in a democratic manner.

Punishment for a crime should not be a democratic process. That would be setting a very bad precedence. Besides less than 5% of Twitter subscribers were interested in the poll and 52% of that answered yes.

Twitter has its terms and conditions of its use and anyone who violates those terms and conditions should be punished accordingly. With this Trump's reinstatement process, Elon Musk is telling us that he has changed the terms and conditions of Twitter usage. It means punishments for breaking Twitter rules will be by votes.

I would have preferred he just reinstated Trump with a warning to decease from breaking Twitter rules again or face permanent ban, instead of democratising "crime".

My surprise is how Tinubu's supporters tried to sell tinubu as an academic genius. For someone with an academic record of a total of 4 years in dodgy US college and university. 2 years in Richard Daley College and 2 years in Chicago State University

Are you insinuating that chief Gani Fawehinmi was daft for questioning the authenticity of Tinubu's certificate? He not only questioned the certificate but sued Tinubu and INEC up till the supreme court. The supreme court did not even rule on the merit of the suit but referred the case to the National Assembly, which of course exonerated their benefactor (Tinubu). Till today, Tinubu's refuses to answer questioned raised by Gani Fawehinmi concerning his certificate.

Even current Tinubu mouth piece and avid defender sued Tinubu up till the supreme court and still yet failed to get an answer.

I studied Economics at university and my first year at university was the first time I have ever studied Economics. If Tinubu indeed used fake document and managed to come out on top, that is a positive for him! It show he could find solutions to problems.

Tinubu studied Business Administration and management but he was hired as an accountant by Deloitte and Mobil and then rose to senior management position within 3 years, can you help explain that.

Another question I would like answers to is that did Tinubu do the NYSC program or he got letter of exemption?

The issue was not about whether Tinubu Attended Chicago State university or not, that had been settled long ago. Reno just wanted to waste his money. The main question was the qualifications Tinubu used in gaining admission into Richard Daley College, as this was the certificate he used to gain admission into Chicago State University. We were not aware of any WAEC or GCE certificate he obtained before immigrating to the US.
Furthermore we would like see the documents he used to travel to the US, ie passport, birth certificate/affidavits, etc. This will kill all allegations of impersonation detractors are spewing up and down.

Lies. Repeating a lie a thousand times does not make it true. The federal government never deprived Lagos State Government of its allocations. The Obasanjo administration withheld Lagos State Local Government allocations for about 3 years due to a dispute in the additional local governments created by Tinubu. Yaradua released the funds to Fashola all at once less than three months after taking over.
