Leave all these ones. Very gullible Nigerians. They swallow everything they see online. So mentally poor, that they worship and label any braggadocios person a Billionaire. Terry Wire sponsor Ibori’s election? As what na? He was a fraudster who made his money running money laundering errands for Governors. Nigerians like loud noisemakers who lie to hug the limelight. What is the big deal in travelling to London or living in Abuja for God’s sake? The bar is so low. Terry wire is a learner where rich Nigerian folks are talking.

The Chinese are probably building a mansion for him somewhere in Nigeria. I learn thats one of their mode of operation in Africa. They reward government officials for playing along with their interests. Slavery has not end in Africa. See this one that call himself a minister telling senate not to investigate loan agreement because the creditor may back out. Imagine that. As if China is giving out the loan as a gift. This man must be getting a big cut from these loans. Is he serving Nigeria's interests or the interests of China?
Definitely how Nigeria works. It’s been the template since 1960s. The Okotie Ebor template. Office holders and politicians in Africa are mostly only interested in running rackets, and the Chinese know this. This is why they love Africa, and thrive here. You can be rest assured that via these projects alone, Amaeashi is already probably a dollar billionaire. Rightfully so as he works with a president who has no clue or knowledge how anything works. The question therefore is: to what end? Well Nigerians worship thieves, and oppressors so I guess it’s to hold on to power, buy more Toyota SUVs for his Nollywood smallies and the likes of Toke, so that hopeless and gullible Nigerians will continue to live in admiration and sing their praises. It’s a vicious cycle!

Tell them o. The earlier Barca cut him lose and start rebuilding the better. Every top team has been doing that (Bayern, Madrid, Chelsea, etc), it may take a while but it’s the reality. They need to wake up and smell the coffee. No one single player should be bigger than the collective. This is what happens when a club‘s leadership worships one player beyond the pitch. By himself, he has appointed coaches, sacked coaches, formed cabal against players he doesn’t like, decides which team mates to pass to, and so on. This is no longer sustainable.

Still on the matter :

See Fayose criticizing OBJ for what he said about Kashamu....

Mr Obasanjo on Saturday condoled with the Ogun State Government over the demise of the businessman.

In a statement signed by his spokesperson Kehinde Akinyemi, Mr Obasanjo said while Mr Kashamu’s death was “sad, his life and history left lessons for those of us on this side of the veil.”

“Senator Buruji Kashamu in his lifetime used the maneuver of law and politics to escape from facing justice on alleged criminal offences in Nigeria and outside Nigeria,” Mr Obasanjo said.

Reacting to the statement, Mr Fayose, in his condolence message posted on Twitter, condemned the former president’s comment, saying it is regrettable.

“I also condemn the statement made by former President Obasanjo on his (Kashamu) death.

It is regrettable that Obasanjo could say what he said about Buruji Kashamu after his death and when he can no longer question him. Why didn’t he say that when Kashamu was alive?” he said.

Christianity EtcRe: Sinners Will Cry 'had I Known' by Wize1: 10:38am On Aug 02, 2020
hopefulLandlord:
Christians and their fear fuelled hell preaching again?

Hell always sounded like a cynical marketing ploy designed to make people afraid to leave or displease the particular sect. And it seemed to really kill empathy - 'god says they burn, they burn' doesn't make me think of someone being full of love and compassion and all that.

Eternal punishment for finite transgressions always seemed abusive to me. How can someone look at the idea of a being who would condemn people to that and call it love?

Even when I was a Christian Hell was just too weird for me to accept. Infinite punishment for finite offenses is an eye for an eye on steroids. Punishing people for disobeying nit-picky rules makes God an abusive parent. One reason often given for punishment is to teach the offender not to offend again, but if punishment is eternal then how can the offender benefit from this teaching? Jesus is supposed to be into forgiveness but forgiveness shouldn't involve eternal suffering. Hell isn’t redemptive, it isn’t leading to repentance, it’s simply pain for pain’s sake.

I love this quote: “Heaven and hell seem out of proportion to me: the actions of men do not deserve so much.”

and of course I get the rationalisation of hell by Christians saying its moral accountability and saying bad people go to hell;
that's nonsense and they know it!!!

If Yahweh is real and omniscient, that means he already decided that we're going to hell before he even created us. But if this omniscient deity allows for deathbed conversions, then it doesn't matter what kind of life you lead. You could be a brutal dictator who massacred tens of millions of people, yet still get into heaven if you tell Jesus you're sorry. Your victims could all go to hell for eternity if they never repented. That's how bleeped up Christian morality is.

Maybe Christians can answer a few questions for me. The Bible says that there is ONLY ONE way to get into Heaven: by accepting salvation through Jesus.

So it follows that the Christians who ran the Nazi death camps can get into heaven. But their 6 million Jewish victims must burn for all eternity in the pits of Hell. I've talked to many Christians about this and they just pretty much accept it.

My questions are:

1. How f***ed up do you have to be to believe Nazis can go to Heaven but their 6 million Jewish victims must burn? That's just sick. But Christians believe it. What the f*** is wrong with you people?

2. Why would ANYONE willingly worship a god that would act like that? Is it just a fear thing (better known as cowardice)? And

3. Even if you get into Heaven what makes you think you'll be safe with a psycho god like that running the place? What's to stop your god getting a wild hair up his ass one day and sending Christians to a place so bad it makes Hell look like an ice cream parlor? He used to like the Jews too. Or so the story claims. What makes you think you're safe?
Thanks for this.

I am a Christian. An educated one I believe, and I appreciate the continuous search for knowledge. I often wonder, If we as humans can build a modern civilisation driven by innovation, science and continuous improvement, why do we then choose to be dumb when it comes to understanding the teachings of Christ and the service of God? I’d like to address a lot of what you said, not sure typing will allow me enough space to share some of my perspectives. That said, I agree with a lot of your sentiments.

The major problem is, most christians today(especially in Africa), do not understand the concept of God, the sacrifices of christ and what is expected of us. Our experience of him is largely influenced by doctrines and denominations. Doctrines and denominations are dangerous, as are often driven by greed, manipulations for financial gains and so on. So pastors use scare tactics, twist the bible for their own selfish gains. Gullible members run with it and so on. And once you refuse to be gullible, or ask questions they seem not to wriggle their way from, you are demonised and pronounced a candidate of hell.

One thing I am certain of is this: Nobody, not even your pastors will get eternal life by virtue or their own works , because by default and nature, all of us are sinners. We sin daily, leaders and extremists only like to demonise other sinners to keep the agenda. To me, that’s why this Gospel based on the threat of hell is doing a disservice to the body of Christ. As Christians, the best template is that of Christ. All his friends and disciples sinned daily (Peter, Mathew, Judas, etc). He never was judging or threatening them. Jesus himself expressed weakness in human form (he almost chickened out at the cross). God knows this fact, and in his infinite mercy, wanted his son to be the sacrifice for all. So you are not going to “Heaven” because you sin less than others, you are going because you acknowledge there is a God who loves you no mater what, and he sent his son to die do you. Simple as! Every other thing is CAP. Once you start understanding this, you are motivated to build a relationship with him, and so on. Most of what is regurgitated today in the church is simply humans teaching God from their own very limited world view!

Like I said, I don’t have all the answers, but I usually love critical assessments like this. We must keep asking questions! Shalom!

You are still bitter at Magu because of the long running battle with Saraki ( and he is your guy). Does this even make sense to you? Blinded by the bribe you receive, you conveniently forget that that the senate is an arm of govt like the executive too, headed by extremely corrupt politicians, but according to you they will offer independence. The same Nigerian senate?

Hian, this kain grammar for this midnight. Sorry oga, Abacha is corrupt.undecided
Read what he wrote first na Oga. You are basically saying the same thing and I agree. The goal of govt and leadership is to strengthen institutions, empower citizens, and create enabling environments for them to thrive. Irrespective of who is government, once this is nor achieved, no meaningful development can be achieved. That said, I am not necessarily in favor of one form of government over another (democracy or authoritarianism, or monarchy), I believe different countries must apply what works best for their realities at every point in time, not necessarily suck up to democracy because the west paints it as the only pure form. In Nigeria’s case, it is extremely expensive, often abused, and manipulated to further commit fraud and crime by the ruling class so it’s not working. Nigeria needs a more radical approach, at least for now. And not to drift too far, Mustapha can talk all the nonsense he wants,we won’t forget, people lived in abject poverty (Abacha stove and all). Abacha is no saint, he is a LOOTER and merciless crook, so are Buhari, Jonathan and OBJ.

Until Nigerians are empowered (intellectually and economically), we’d helplessly keep selecting individuals to rescue the country, nothing will ever change just a bunch of undeserving ruling class friends getting richer off of state resources. Literally a Bagudu made his money, not from working, but from being among those selected to have state money laundered into their personal foreign accounts, and then the laundered died. Zoom! he becomes eternally rich to 4 generations at the expense of the country (more than enough money to still make him be gov 20+ years after and keep looting). FYI this was how most of the billionaire families we worship today made money. It’s not sustainable.

How can you side with Pogba over the special one? Because of Instagram followers?

GGMU
No they didn't back him after spending 300M+. He asked for a midfielder they have him Pogba, Sanchez was the most sought after attacker in Jan, they bought him Sanchez. Lukaku 80+M, Eric, Lindelof, etc. The Fred he bought, he is not playing him anymore. He was demanding for exchanging a club's future youngster for 29 year old Willian if not for the clubs intervention. He has fought with almost the entire team plus his shit parking the bus tactics after spending tonnes of money. His utd team has the poorest goalscoring form of the top 6 team yet he has Martial, Rashford, Sanchez, Lukaku but no complain about the defender they didn't buy him. Tottenham didn't sign one single player in the summer yet are playing far better football than any of Mou's last two teams and have made top 4 consistently. Mourinho needs to take a break and refresh his tactic. Utd on the other hand needs to find a good coach like Pochetino or Zidane who can get the best our of this team.
