My elder sister is close to 50 yrs. I'm in my mid forties. We had a very rough and terrible past that I survived only by the grace of God. Only God sustained us. Due to the problems of polygamy and parental separation, we suffered too much. But the suffering was ten times more for me as a man.

We were abandoned by our parents. At many times I wanted to commit suicide but God didn't allow me. More than 20 times I wanted to, but God saved me.

I finished my university about ten years ago. I actually slept under the bridge here in the city for some years before I struggled to get to the university, doing all kinds of menial jobs and hustling. Even after my university the suffering still continued. But later God was faithful to me and showed me great mercy and blessing.

Now I decided my sister should also go to school. It doesn't matter her age, there's no age limit in education. So I got her the school and she's just started and about to complete year one in the university. I believe that even if she finishes school at 56, it's better than not going at all. So all things being equal, she should finish at 56 since it's a professional course of 6 or 7 yrs.

So I bought another car and got another driver to be driving her to school everyday for her lectures. She's studying a professional course that everyone wants to study, the same course I studied.

But after about eight months of my driver driving her to school to and fro, she started plotting and planning with one of my drivers on how to sell my car and claim that it was snatched by armed robbers at gunpoint. I was shocked because she didn't know I was monitoring her.

This is despite all the allowance she got from me and all other things of her needs well taken care of.

But unknown to her, I actually bought that car for her, to be given to her after one year, or if after one year the car is no more befitting, my plan is to buy her another one and give it to her as a surprise gift. That would be when she finishes year one. Just 4 months before the end of her year one, she started misbehaving and planning to sell my car at my back. Can you imagine this??

So I've collected my car back and stopped the driver from driving her to school henceforth. Let her enter bus to school. But I will not stop sponsoring her in school. But she will never have the luxury of being driven to school anymore.

So why are people so ungrateful?

Have I done wrong by collecting my car back and making her enter bus to school??

And even the car I planned buying for her, she will never get it anymore. Never. Let her go out there and struggle and know how it feels to make money in this harsh economy. If not for the fact that she's my blood sister, I would have stopped her education entirely because of this treacherous behavior, but I won't stop sponsoring her since she has already started. But I will keep her at arm's length until I see a reasonable change of behavior in her.

Have I done anything wrong??

It's no big no big deal helping a sibling; that is if the person in question really wants to helped. The younger one should get more skills to improve himself, thereby increasing job opportunities.

Listen, when it comes to business, you have to remove sentiments irrespective of whether the people involved are family or not. You have to discuss whether you will be paid or not, how you will paid, when you will be paid, how many days in week you should be working, when you should resume each day and close each day etc. If possible let there be written code of conduct. If you are comfortable with it, then you resume work. If you don't get the necessary information you need now, you may get frustrated in future.

And you have to be professional. Why would you travel and stay an extra day without informing her prior to your taking your decision. Like I said, be professional and get the facts straight. Also, here is something you might want to know about prayer. You see, Scripture states that God does not answer the prayers of the unrighteous; the pleas and requests and every petition, praise, offering, work, plea, sacrifice, etc., of the unrighteous are tainted by their sins(disobedience/unholiness) and are hence an abomination to God. So, what is definite is that even your many pleas for the forgiveness of sins are not answered by God given that God made no special exemptions for that kind of plea. No amount of praying can cause God to change His mind regarding that which concerns the unrighteous by the way. So if you are thinking of prescribing more prayers that only means you really don't understand or know God at all. undecided

God, however, openly bragged about how He only answers the prayers of the righteous; He delights in granting them the desires of their heart meaning that they are those who are loved by Him. For this very reason, Jesus Christ urged His followers to seek first the Kingdom of God and God's Righteousness in order that all things— the blessings and rewards of the Kingdom of God(holiness), answers to prayers included—shall be added on to them. And as Jesus Christ explained in His Gospel, the only way to become Holy, and then also Righteous, is by way of continuous submission and obedience to the teachings and commandments of Jesus Christ, god's Truth and Law in the Kingdom of god - John 8 vs 31 - 36 & John 14 vs 15 - 23. Jesus Christ is the only way. Obedience to the Truth of God is the one and only path to righteousness. No amount of praying and other religious rituals can accomplish that. undecided

God deals indirectly with the unrighteous, the same way He deals with the unbelievers including the wicked and the ungrateful and that is by pouring out His mercy and kindness on them daily. So every time as an unrighteous you feel that God has answered your prayer know that at that same moment, or moments before that, God also provided the same mercy or similar to someone else across the world — or maybe just across from you— who does not even believe in God, nor asked God for anything. So, if answers from God are what you seek, then do what Jesus Christ said you should, which is to seek first the Kingdom of God(holiness), and then God's righteousness, in order that all these things —the blessings and rewards of the Kingdom of God(including answers to prayers) can be added to you.

🤣 Who has made you a judge over my life? God has made Jesus the only judge of my life.(John 5:22) And he has shown me mercy (Isaiah 1:18). I believe that I am save and God is always with me(Isaiah 43: 2). Thanks for your contribution.🙏

So what decision have you decided to take?

After reading your message, I realized that I after baptism I never received any fruit or gift of the spirit. So I am working on myself by making positive 10mins declaration upon my life, I had to record it and play it repeatedly to boost my faith. I must say I feel alot of peace within.

Secondly, I pray for God's inner peace, I know if I have that peace, then doubt is gone, fear is gone and faith grows.

Reduced social media use, reading more Christian books, studying the Bible often, pray more. This has helped to hear from God more.

I must say I feel so light and happy at the moment.

The only thing Jesus never experienced in his lifetime on planet earth is SICKNESS and that's because he was a perfect human with unblemish body but all other things affected Jesus of Nazareth, in fact he was poor materially speaking {Luke 9:58} his enemies noticed this that's why they demanded he should pay the taxes hardworking people were taxed {Matthew 17:24-27} even his mother and brothers taught he's running insane as he had no plans of a normal life {Mark 3:21} and most Jews considered him mad! John 10:20

So anyone who decided to become a disciple of this same man should know that this life has no meaning {Luke 9:23} according to him it's one trouble after another each day until God's Kingdom comes! Matthew 6:33-35

If you have no evidence given you by God as proof that you are indeed born of his spirit, ask yourself what it is you really need from God, and as Jesus Christ urged you to - Luke 14 vs 25 - 33 - count the cost to be sure that following Him is what you need to do.

As a Christian, believing God for something, is really exhausting. Sometimes, things get really worse that you would want to seek an alternative means.

At this point in my life, I have no alternative means. It's either God or God. If he doesn't save me, then I'm good as dead.
