"If I were the Nigerian president, I would..." OP, care to explain how this strategy would help the power situation in Nigeria? |
The way you described the place, it seems like somewhere men normally take their catches to before devouring them later at night. If that is the case, her concerns might be genuine cause any girl seen entering such places with a man is already considered a LovePeddler. Like some already said it's also possible she's well known there and therefore is trying not to give out her history. But wait, you asked her out and she agreed and you want to dictate the location? Lol |
Kondomatic:I said she's nice because of her care for a pregnant lady regardless of the situation. Not because she was willing to go ahead and marry a cheat. That's would be her decision to make but if she had canceled the marriage, that wouldn't make her less understanding cause a guy wouldn't think twice before cancelling the marriage is such a situation. Like I said, what exactly is there to understand? |
techmo:Yeah, bro. That's their version of winter (though a 'mediocre' compared with real winter in cold regions of the world). |
techmo:Well, I wouldn't precisely call the night weather 'warm' between January to March, at least. Dry wind below 15°C is already uncomfortable for people from warm climates and it could get as low as 12°C at night in Dubai. Imagine being out at that time without thick clothes cause you left your house during the day when it was warmer. |
Bluezy13:I wasn't outrightly faulting you. I was only highlighting alternative interpretations ingrained in your assertion and which any reader can have as a take away. No offense intended. |
It's a pity. Please, whosoever that said men don't cry is suffering from toxic masculinity. |
Bluezy13:I get the point here but saying she is 'understanding' kind of suggests that accepting a cheat is the ideal thing to do for a woman, otherwise she wouldn't be an understanding woman. What exactly is there to understand? Is it not funny that when a woman takes a man's misgivings, she's termed "understanding" but when a man takes a woman's excesses, he's called a "simp". Do you see the bias there? We expect a woman to tolerate it all but but not the man. Nevertheless, I agree she's a nice lady though not necessarily because she wasn't going the quite the marriage. |
techmo:It's actually cold at night and warm during the day. This is in tandem with the weather. |
Madibah:He barely touched her and it was in a fraction of a second but trust our bloggers to capture that precise moment. |
OP, stop repeating threads. It's your type that copies other people's reg numbers while copying answers in the example hall. https://www.nairaland.com/6256779/why-does-visit-me-sound#96053003 |
Striking resemblance. To those saying Bobrisky killed his career, what is his career? Denrel does fashion shows, TV hosting/program anchoring, branding, etc. while Bobrisky produces and sells cosmetic products and women accessories. Even though both of them also run social media ads just like any other famous person out there, their lines aren't exactly the same. So while Bob has become more trendy on social media, her fame shouldn't hinder Denrele's progress more than Anthony Joshua's fame hinders Mikel Obi's success unless there's someone out there who is considering employing her as a host on his tv show. |
Imagine if it was the woman that's on this side of the divide. We would be calling her olosho, destiny killer, etc. 9ice, go your to wife, it's her decision to make. Though I feel she's the one that requested for this video in atonement for his sins. She probably just needs something to hold on to as a reason she forgave him so that the ever judging world wouldn't shame her |
What is happening ? Why are y'all eating one another in Nigeria? This is scary! |
Dreamliner787:I don't live in Nigeria and I don't know any student in Nigeria. I actually asked that question cause I've been reading about this strike stuff here on Nairaland for a while and each thread made it seem like it was about to end. It's just bizarre how the Nigerian government prioritizes things. How can students not be in school for that long? I mean, students not being school is just a couple of steps away from a total breakdown. Are things really that bad? I can't even begin to imagine the implications of such prolonged striking period. It's so saddening. |
Sad state of things. |
identitylenz:Wow!!! Students have been at home for 9 months?? That's sad! |
Nice one. But then again, if he does not feel it will be a good investment, we should respect that as well as we must understand he ain't doing some government job. This is his business and he wouldn't jump into an investment he's not comfortable with just to be a good Nigerian. contigiency:Well, like we say, figures over sentiments, bro. If you were a business man with that amount of money, which club do you think your financial adviser would advice you to invest in? Like I said earlier, this is business for them and an not avenue to be patriotic. Like in any other line of business, there are many things investors consider before coming onboard, the management history, financial records of the organization and, of course, the future potentials of the organization are key. If the investor isn't comfortable with these, it would be unwise to still go on with the investment. In this particular case, the only thing Eyimba can use to attract such big investors is their potentials (just like any other startup or small organization/club) and if the investor isn't seeing that potential (either due to the club's management history or the overall structure or lack of structure in the African football space), it would be in his best interest to back off. If he invests in Eyimba and comes out with loss or poor ROI, Nigerians would simply move on to the next person. I personally believe in the local clubs and I feel if well funded, they'd become money making machines but I'm not the investor and I'm sure the investor has his reasons for his choice of investment cause it is the fundamental nature of business to put your money where it will grow the most and virtually everyone here would rather do a fixed deposit in Europe than in Nigeria. |
SILENTandSMART2:I reading his title three times and it still didn't make sense. I can't even tell if it's a question or statement. |
Please, this strike has been on for how long? |
Lol... nobody is shouting 'olosho', or 'Nigerian boys and sex!'. It's a man's world after all. |
cyriletifit:Lol... I saw this comment on the "recent" page and I did't even know what the discussion was about but I had a good laugh. ![]() |
Studymore123:Ok. Thanks. |
Looks like a cross between a sea lion and seal ! |
Fear men! |
Please, people, this is about direct debits (recurring debit transactions with a single order aka standing order) and not your regular one-time debit transaction. I think this needs to be clarified first. In many countries, this is used to take care of periodic payments like rent, salary, etc. and it is the payers duty to ensure the account is sufficiently funded before the next transaction date. If not, the payee will not get their money and the bank resources (human or tech) is wasted. I think that's what the government is trying to mitigate. Now, the payer has to explicitly cancel the order or pay penalties. In terms of minimum amount requirements or the monthly charges that come when the minimum amount isn't met as well as the cost per transaction when customers exceed their transaction limit based on their account types, I think banking in Nigeria might still be a bit cheaper than in many western countries but then again, Nigeria shouldn't be as costly cause the services, the customer base and the running costs aren't the same. I could be wrong. |
parkervero:It's in the best interest of everyone to go their separate ways if the marriage isn't working anymore. Don't hang it all on the woman as usual. It's not everyone that can take the excesses of men in Africa. |
Lol... do you guys really have political parties in Nigeria or just a group of people withoutideologies? |
Eteka1:Even with the video and the analysis from CNN, you'd still go with the BBC journalist who spent only 20 minutes on the protest ground? |
Adakintroy:Sanction doesn't mean they will come and do anything in your country. Sanction means they'll cut off some of their resources you've been enjoying as a dependent country. |
inoki247:Lol... I liked this post just because it doesn't make sense. |
